I took my new phone from AT &T in to activate. They seemed competent, but it ended up costing my 1200 dollars for something that should have not cost anything. It was very frustrating, very, very frustrating. I made all the right calls but could not fix it since they caused the issue by changing my phone number which nullified my trade value. They did not activate the right line, but created a new line instead....so AT&T kept my trace in for free as a donation, then charged me for the phone that should have been zero cost based on the switch from my former provider to them. HUGE mistake, unable to fix through them or AT &T. I will never deal with them again, and switched back to my old provider. Biggest regreat is that I can not give them a zero now. read more

The worst. When my 80-year-old wife complained about an expensive billing mistake made by this store, the manager told her get out and threatened to call security -- even though the manager admitted that the responsible employee made similar mistakes with other customers! The manager then went into a back room and hid. This store is a franchise. We had to go to AT&T's company-owned store on Coffee in Bakersfield to get the mistake fixed. That entailed 3 visits to Bakersfield and 3 calls to AT&T foreign representatives who were hard to understand. The calls required 30-minute waits, and one was dropped. Thankfully, the Bakersfield store representatives were patient and a pleasure to work with. Troublesome as the trip is, I'd go there. read more

Went to the AT&T store to add 2 lines to my account. The sales associate told me what my estimated bill would be. Later I found out that they added other things to my account without my consent and my new bill would be over 100 dollars more than what she told me in the store. After 2 calls to AT&T and over 2 and a half hours on the phone I was told I have to wait 4 more days and call again to try and get my account fixed. Hopefully i can get it fixed before they take payment direcetly out of my account. The Tehachapi store runs a really good bait and switch scam and AT&T does not seem to care. read more

Been to this store 4 times and no one was there. Lights were on but no one. Called and according to one person, no one showed up. Not sure why there would be no back up. Second call left me to I assume the managers voice-mail. Left a message and no call back. My sister needs her phone fixed. She's probably going to cancel her service. This is ridiculous. At least leave a note stating when you might be open. read more

Terrible experience. Told phone would be in within 3 days! 10 days later and my order was nearly canceled because Berenice wasn't porting the phone over correctly? Didn't offer anything to make my bad experience better. The employees spend more time playing on their phones then what they are worth I'm sure. Literally could run this place with 1 employee. No promos, no specials. Shop around you will find a better deal. This is a RETAILER not a REAL AT&T!!!! read more

The stupidity and ignorance of most of the employees, including the manager, at this store is stupefying. My husband and I went in on September 16th, 2016 to order the iPhone 7 Plus. Not only did they allow some poor new girl to work the day the iPhone 7 was released, there is that mind blowing stupidity I was talking about, but it took over AN HOUR. (I literally went online to order one just to see how long it would have taken...it took me less than 5 minutes.) There were 2 other employees there who were trying to help the poor, extremely lost and confused new person, but were also dealing with a line out the door. I can get past the allowance of a new person to work such a hectic day and that it took over an hour, but not that THEY made a mistake and did not charge us the taxes that we were fully prepared to pay. When we inquired about it, one of the employees told us not to worry about it. They did not know what happened, but it was their fault and we were not to worry about it. Sounds like good customer service, but that has been the beginning of the nightmare. It is now November 4th, 2016 and NO PHONE because they DID NOT file it and send it in and now it is our fault we did not pay the taxes. They are now trying to insist it is our fault for not paying the taxes when I asked, and then asked again (god forbid I did not think to record the entire 60 to 80 minutes train wreck going on). Hours upon hours have been spent calling and trying to sort it all but each person contacted seems to be more illiterate, uniformed, and untrained than the last. Words cannot express enough the frustration and fury at the incompetence of the people at this store. read more

Loved the service at this location, thankful for the helpful young woman Berenice that assisted me. After years of being robbed by Verizon and as someone who is not tech savvy I was hesitant but she was patient with me while she was able to help me and reassure me that i was getting a deal for the package I wanted for my family. She knew what I wanted and was able to fulfill my request, she made the process of switching over and also upgrading my outdated phone quick and easy. I will definitely be returning. read more

This is the worst cell phone store ever. Came in after a guy on the phone said he could help me switch providers. One girl is helping a man, while two young guys are standing there. They ask me to wait. Another woman comes in and they jump to help her. The girl asks me to keep waiting. I ask her if they want a new customer or not since I've now been skipped. They don't help me so I walk out telling them they just lost a customer which they could care less obviously. Around 6 pm today. Write her up please. read more

My dad and I came into the store close to closing time and the employees were friendly and more than willing to help us. Alyssa was knowledgable and personable and helped us get the best deal for what we purchased. I hope to see this same customer service the next time we come in. :) read more

I upgraded 2 phones for myself and my daughter to iPhone Pro Max and iPhone 11. I was never asked about what size I needed. I bought several accessories, including screen protectors, which I'd asked rep, Ashley to apply. She put the SIM cards in and apparently activated the phones, which I had NOT requested. I was told by Ashley and Alyssa that I was required to have mandatory insurance for 3 months and later found out this was not true by an actual AT&T rep, and most likely a sales ploy and could remove it from the app at anytime without penalty. I was emailed a receipt due to no paper in the printer, so I had to wait to see everything. I never had the installment plan explained or new monthly rate quoted. When I got home, I realized I had a 128 gig (512 before) and a 64 gig (128 before). I would think since they could see my account and the previous gigs, and didn't offer a size option, they would at least have given us the same amount of gigs we had before. I didn't want to have any problems, so I never transferred data, and so I thought, never activated phones. I wouldn't have been able to transfer my data anyway, because both phones wouldn't have had enough space. They were closing at 6:00 P.M., and I called at 5:40. I waited on hold several minutes, only to be later transferred to voicemail. I did this 3 times and never got through. We went all night without being able to use our phones. My daughter is an adult with special needs and her phone is her livelihood. She is an admin for several online autism and asperger's groups. She was so disappointed to not only have the new phone, which is an early birthday present.... but no phone at all! When I returned to the store today, the higher gig phones were not in stock and I was told had to be ordered. I didn't want another night without service. I advised them I just needed a refund and would go to a corporate AT&T store, not an authorized retailer. Ashley and Carlos refused to waive the $55 per phone restocking fees and told me I would still be charged for the screen protectors Ashley applied, since they were already opened. I told them this was not right, especially since it was their error and given the wrong phones without any size options. I asked her to take the screen protectors off and give them to me to take to the corporate store for exchange. She then got an attitude, raised her voice, advising me I was the one who told her to put them on, which I did not dispute, and said "Are you calling me a liar?!" I also mentioned the misinformation about the insurance and lack of information about the plan. She again with an attitude said, "Well, you agreed to everything yesterday!" They processed the return and charged me the fees. It wasn't until I got upset, advising them I was an AT&T retiree, worked there for 30 years, was from Retention, and was going to complain about their store, that I overheard Carlos tell Ashley to credit me for the screen protectors. He never advised me directly. I had to ask later, when they didn't give them back to me. I left and purchased my phones and accessories from the Lancaster store and was given superior service. In my 30 years as an AT&T employee, I have NEVER talked to or treated a customer the way the Tehachapi store did. I understand about company policies and sales, but in my case, no disclosures and incorrect or misleading information was given to me to secure a better sale. Then I was mistreated and disrespected. I'm sure there was a way with a supervisor to waive or credit the restocking fees. Even if there weren't, I should never have been treated like this. I'm not just a retiree, I am a customer! Tehachapi is a small town, and I intend to inform everyone about my experience via social media. I'm also going to file an official complaint to AT&T corporate. I received a text survey about this store. I answered the first question with a very dissatisfied and was asked why. After I submitted my comments, I never received the rest of the questions. I'm not sure if it was received, so I've posted my comments here. Hopefully someone at AT&T will respond. I am extremely disappointed in the reps and AT&T service at this store. I rate it zero stars. I came into the store near closing time and Nick was the most pleasant helpful person I've experienced in days. He went above and beyond to help me out. Like a previous reviewer stated, this place is quite a waste of space. Takes forever to get anything done, not to mention an almost guaranteed lengthy wait. I went here because I was in a pinch for a phone, mine went absolutely dead. So yeah it takes about an hour to get anything done. What made me angry was that the associate took my phone out of the box and factory packaging and started designating all the settings. For one, it's NOT your phone, so don't take the liberty of removing the screen protectors and setting it up how you see fit. You don't know how I like my phone set up. Take the serial numbers and whatever you need, but that's it! They are pretty clueless about the products they sell as well as the promotions and current sales provided by att. They could use some training on customer service as well as how to sell in general. Go online. You'll be happy you did. read more

i went at&t store to get the new phone and carina was the sales girl, before i active my phone i told her 5- times i need international plan because my wife is overseas so i call her every day but she did not do it my international plan so i got over $600 bills for international calls, supposed to be $0 because i thought i have a international plan with is $15 per month. i went office 3- times but they did not fix it so i left 3- massages for carina but she never call me. carina should be fired. very very very bad bad service shame on you.( this store does not deserve even 1-star) i am telling every body, be careful with this store. harry. read more

I went to our local AT&T store for help. Amber was very patient with me as she changed my information from my old iPhone to my new one. I am completely inept when it comes to these new phones and Amber was so helpful and didn't make me feel stupid I can't thank her enough for getting me squared away. read more
