We upgraded an iPhone 7 to a 16plus. We ran into a few system issues related to how our account was set up and were there about 2 hours but our rep was fantastic and every manager he asked questions of worked with us to solve the issues. (Details complicated which is why they were issues!). Rep Ben never showed frustration about how long it all took nor did the managers. They found us a good deal on a new phone with very little increase in note per month. No high pressure to buy other available services like streaming deals etc. A good experience. read more

We had to visit this store due to a problem with one of their hot spots we use. The employee who assisted us was very friendly, and quickly determined that it fell under a warranty, so a replacement would need to be ordered. Through this entire process he remained friendly and engaging. When the replacement hot spot arrived, picking it up was very easy--we were in and out quickly. Cheryle the manager was incredibly condescending and extremely rude. I have never had such an unprofessional experience at a Verizon store. I tried multiple times to explain what I needed help with and she refused to fully hear me out and address the specific concerns I came into the store for. When I was clearly upset and tried to explain to her what about her approach was wrong she doubled down on the attitude and never once apologized. Not to mention when we asked to speak to the manager we had 5 grown men swarm around us to hear the "drama" and they were very loudly talking negatively about my "attitude". Overseas, Customer care is a joke! they do not listen to the customer and just read from a "script".... Half the time their English is so bad you can't understand them... This review applies to the Verizon store located at 1286 E Battlefield in Springfield MO. I had to return the equipment for a Verizon 5G Internet "modem" and was unable to do so due to the incompetence of a UPS store so I came to this Verizon store and explained everything. The employees I dealt with were very nice and helpful and the manager and her employee were able to solve the problem and print the label I needed to process the return through FedEx. I was very grateful for their help. I have been a Verizon customer for a few years now and am very happy with Verizon. Honestly, some of the worst customer service. Every time I go in I have problems. I'm an adult on my parents' family plan and they won't let me do anything without having my mom in store with me. My mom called to get me added as an account manager and the customer service person had to talk to the store rep and the store rep was rude to the CS rep. Apparently Verizon can't even communicate within itself well. While I was in the store about 4 other people came in with complaints. I have spent over 9 hours in the cooperate store in the last 60 days, while they miscommunicate with their own customer service and struggle to understand the problems that they made with my account. I got a bait and switch upgrade sale for my multi line account (6lines) and since then my bill never came like it was supposed to both in cost and delivery. My daughter's gizmo watch was turned off while I was out of town due to these issues which made contacting her or tracking her location impossible (very stressful for a traveling parent). They couldn't fix these issues even with multiple representatives, managers and phone calls. I inquired to pricing at ATT and when I found out I was going to save hundreds of dollars a month I switched immediately. (Verizon could not even properly assist with the cancellation taking multiple calls and store visits) The store is filled with employees standing around waiting to sell products rather than help with issues and unless you are there to buy a new device seem to be rather clueless on the processes of their company. (the store manager even acknowledged they are really just there to sell phones) Most of the time referring me back to calling the customer service line to sit on hold for another hour before getting off the phone unresolved. The issues have still not been resolved but after 15 years I am done overpaying for bad customer service and passive aggressive representatives! read more

I came in today with my son and fiancé too upgrade our old phones, and a lady with red hair gave us a terrible experience. I didn't catch her name but that's beside the point, she tried telling us that we weren't ready for upgrades even though we had waited the correct amount of time and even received an email stating that we were ready. She didn't try looking up our account or anything, she pretty much just said no. And was talking too my fiancé as if she had an IQ of 2. We left and immediately called Verizon online and 2 ours later we have our iPhone 13s... just goes too show she had no clue what she was talk about, nor did she care too try and ACTUALLY help us. I called this Store after dealing with Microsoft Customer Service for 2 hours... Highly aggravated over the CON there running with windows 10 Free Upgrade. "where the fine print says it's only free till 7-16-2016" then if you have to reinstall for any reason (like your hard drive failed) You will need to purchase it, even though they said it was FREE. Any how......... I talked with Crystal at the Verizon Store and She answered all My questions and made My day. Recently visited this Verizon location to convert my in-laws to Verizon before they begin their retirement and travel the US in their fifth-wheel. Being long-time ATT customers and needing data for their travels, I knew the road would be tough. We managed to get a gentleman named Todd who, I believe, knows customer service, knows how to please, and has the patience of a saint. My in-laws are a lot to handle but his guy worked with them like a pro. He hooked them up with accessories, a great plan (XXL for 4 lines), and even managed to bring my flip-phone loving father-in-law into at least 2014 with his first smartphone. Bombarded with questions, hysteria, bickering, Todd laughed and joked throughout the 2+ hrs ordeal (let's just say my MIL has amassed some 6,000+ photos and every one needed to be transferred to her new phone). Ultimately, the experience was good despite missing dinner and wanting to step in front of a truck. Todd rocked it and we got outta there with some decent deals and hardware. My only beef is how Verizon does billing to existing customers who switch plans....if I tried to explain that one, I'd probably throw my phone in the Mississippi. read more

Terrible customer service. I am a new customer and I was receiving 140 emails for my bill. They were duplicates. I had tried calling customer service before going in but was disconnected. I thought the location would help but said I need to call customer service. Then the manager suggested it might be a phishing scheme, which of course isn't their responsibility. I bought a phone at this location not quite 6 months ago. There was a promotion online that they claimed they could honor and that I would not be charged any penalties if I chose to pay the phone off early. I asked many detailed questions about paying off my phone early and they assured me I could do so with no problem. This past weekend my screen died and I was quoted more than the cost of the phone to replace it. When I tried to pay the phone off, they doubled the price and claimed that has always been the policy if I wanted to pay off early. Verizon (without my consent) cancelled my insurance when I asked to drop my third line last year, and the rep I spoke with on the phone suggested committing insurance fraud to get them to pay for it. He literally walked me through the steps to falsify my insurance and assured me we could get away with it. When I told him it was illegal he put me on hold and never came back. The rep that picked up after him assured me she would call me back with warranty info, but I waited two days with no call. So I drove back into this store. They claimed they had a copy of my signed original receipt, but upon hearing my issue, they would only give me an unsigned copy of the supposed purchase price of my phone. Customer service on the phone told me my receipt was blank and they manually filled in the amount. They told me there was nothing I could do but buy another phone to put on the line and continue to pay. I will be paying the phone off early and leaving this company. They seem incompetent at best and willfully crooked at worst. Done with verizon. read more

When the rep than changed by promotional data package to a regular data package that added an extra $35 to my bill for the exact same service without my knowledge I can can say that I really was not too amused. This Verizon store has been extremely helpful!! The staff is super friendly I found this place by accident and let me tell you best accident ever. I live an hour away from this store but would drive here any day over going to a different location! Let's be honest- everyone hates their cell phone carrier. I do everything online now, but decided to give this new store a try when I decided to upgrade to Verizon Edge and switch my phone up. I spoke with a lady who's name I seriously wish I could remember, who was kind, helpful, but most important to me listened to what I was there for. I knew exactly what package I wanted, and she didn't give me a hard time about choosing a lower data allowance or skipping out on insurance. I was very pleased with my transaction- and it's also nice you can make an appointment online. I would go back if I was having an issue. read more

When my smartphone suddenly stopped working, I was afraid I would have to pay a hefty sum to get it fixed (due to not purchasing insurance when I got the device). However, a quick trip to the Verizon store revealed that the phone had a warranty that I was unaware of and I was ordered a replacement device for overnight delivery. The store associate I spoke with was friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend speaking with them if you ever have a problem with your Verizon phone! read more

Wow. What a beautiful store for such terrible service. For as mammoth as this store is, there should be countless reps working. Though there was multiple employees, the fact that we had to wait over an hour for terrible service was crazy. We came in to switch my boyfriend from AT&T to Verizon because of better service and how embarrassed was I... Once we were met, we had to ask the rep to move to a table to talk about plans... Not a couch. While he was helping us and while my boyfriend struggled to resolve a problem in setting up his new phone, another man approached him and started taking apart his phone explaining a problem.... Instead of telling the man to wait with everyone else, he starts helping him!! EXCUSE ME?! We waited an hour just so someone else could grab this guy's attention?! I was pretty peeved about the whole situation and decided to turn away and witnessed another customer's experience with a separate sales rep who was so completely rude and obnoxious to her. Trying to sell her something she clearly did not want and had told him about ten times only to hear that in fact her plan wasn't up yet so her coming in there was pointless.... not happy with the management I bought a new phone there. Had them clear the old one. when I got it back I couldn't get into it, The manager told me they couldn't fix it. After being with them since they were Alltel 25 year or so. I told them I may go to another service he told me to go on, just bring phone back and go on. Would not try to help. Very un professional. PS went home and got on iTunes and found a way to fix it. Not that hard to do. The ones that work there are very good and very knowledgeable. Management not so much. read more

Pretty bad customer service. Came in with a question about getting put on someone else's plan and the salesman, Dustin, seemed annoyed and wasn't helpful. Basically said we had to do it a certain way and I would lose my number. We left and called customer support at Verizon and they were able to get us on the same plan, saved us money AND I was able to keep my number. read more

I had the worst customer service here. Upon entering the store, the bearded employee with glasses who "helped" us didn't invite us in or express any interest in even giving customer service. After telling him why we were there, which was expressing interest in adding another line and upgrading the iPhones, he hardly helped give us information on that. We had to prompt him to get information out of him. He didn't even offer to walk us over to the iPhones to check them out. Kept us near the front door the entire time. Very uninviting. Didn't express any interest in his job, or willingness to help us in general. Bland expression, monotone, and we had to keep asking questions for him to tell us anything. There was no motivation on his end to problem solve or give any sort of options. I ended up saying right in front of him, "we will be paying off the current iPhones on the plan then switching to T-Mobile as soon as possible". He had no response or care that we were wanting to leave the company. Extremely disappointed. Especially for being customers of Verizon since 2013. And we went in the store being kind and easygoing. After I activated my phone online I had som card issues and had to take it to a corporate store. I went to the store by cab. When I arrived I asked for assistance that I needed a new compatable sim card for my phone. I was treated extremely rudely and told to leave at one point. I said I absolutely am not leaving until my phone is properly activated I already paid my money. The general manager was the one helping me. He was extremely confrontational and misogynistic. He told me he would not help me. I said well someone is amd sat down. The manager came out with a sim card and tried to hand it to me. As directed by the phone customer service I told him to put it in for me. He said they dont do that. I told him he did today and to do his job. He put it in and made sure the phone worked. Its a good thing I am a strong person and lnow how to stand up for myself. I was told by the manager that I would be able to pay on a certain date no problem. Not rhe case at all and now I cant change my paymemt date. There was not one womam working there. I have never.seen any women working there the several times me and my family have had to go there. Even my sweet mother who never says a negative thing about anyone says the.general manager seems like he is a real jerk. Well, it's because he IS. I avoid having to go to the store at all costs. What an ugly experience. Its shameful the way he behaves to women in particular. I find is very concerning and a little bit scary when having to look at him. He has malice in his stare.
