I had a great experience. I went in thinking my iPhone screen was cracked. The employee looked it over carefully and told me it was just my protective cover that was cracked. Had my iPhone 6s screen replaced at the North location. The work was done well because it also fixed the ghost touching issues that can happen on the 5's and 6's that'd I'd been plagued with since buying the phone used off of eBay. Obviously, I bought a case and screen guard from them, too since I'd just paid $139.99 to fix a preventable crack, and they were nice enough to install it for me. The screen guard is a little annoying because it dampens the sensitivity of the touch sensing, but I think it's a price to pay for insuring its safety. read more

Don't use this place if you need work on your phone. Fine place if you need accessories or similar, but their "top" repairmen are incompetent. Wanted a phone rooted so a different android system could be installed. I'm mildly tech-competent, but I thought it would be easier to pay someone than to try to figure it out myself. Got the phone back with the new OS, was all excited to start using the phone, then I realized the menu and back buttons at the bottom were not working. Took the phone back, expecting them to fix it. They gave me some crap about needing a new screen (it was a brand new phone!), so I took it home and tried to figure it out on my own. In the end all I had to do was download a driver file. Phone is fixed, no new screen needed. Bottom line: the repair guy was trying to screw me out of more money for a simple problem. I suggest you find somewhere else if you need work done to your phone. read more

Got an online quote on a Moto Z Force with a bad battery for $80. Arrived to be told by a newbie counter clerk "the battery is $80, but we break the screen to get it out, so it'll be $250. The way the factory glues them in, we have to push it out though the screw holes, so it always breaks". I had studied the procedure quite a bit, so I knew the breakage rate was more like 20%, not the 100% he was pronouncing. I challenged that the industry standard was far lower and typically breakage was caused by impatience in heating the glue to allow release, and asked him to speak with the tech and confirm thiis. He returned and said it breaks often enough that he has to warn what may occur and the worst price scenario. Pressed, he also dropped the screen price $30, take about 45 minutes. I said "heat the bejezus out of it, take your time and save the screen". He said "OK, but 6 hours". Should have been their lead. They took the extra time, saved the screen, so I bought some accessories. Allow them the time to do it right and tell them what's expected and everybody wins. read more

This was quite possibly the worst display of customer service that I have ever experienced. So for the past 6 months I've been dealing with my broken iPhone 5s, half of the screen wouldn't respond to touch, and I finally got a new phone. With no need for my old phone I decided to trade it in for some cash. I come to this store and the first guy we talk to checks out the phone. I tell him everything about the screen which is all that is wrong with the phone and he keeps asking what I'm wanting to get for it. I just tell him repeatedly that I'll take whatever they will give me. So he goes in the back for about 5-10 minutes and comes out and says that he will do 100 dollars but first I have to erase the phone and get my iCloud account off of it. He gives me a quote slip that is good for 3 days saying that I will get 100 dollars for the phone once my iCloud is removed. I go home, remove iCloud, and return within an hour. When I get back to the store another man "helps" me this time, I hand him the quote slip and I can tell right away that I'm in for a less than simple transaction. He's already being rude to me and asks who helped me before and I tell him. He takes the phone to the back room and meanwhile I look at merchandise. When he returns he tells me that despite wiping the whole phone my iCloud is still on there and that they can't purchase it. Now I'm not blind so I know that the original quote I got was probably more than they normally would buy the phone for and now rather than honor it they are trying to worm their way out of the deal. I ask repeatedly if there is any way to get my iCloud off and he tells me "no there's no way with a broken screen" repeatedly, being more than rude and condescending the entire time. Frustrated I go back out to my car and frantically scour the internet looking for a way to do it. I find more than a couple ways so I head back into the store and find the one person who had sincerely been helping me look at cases and ask him if my idea will work. He had heard the whole ordeal and admits that they just don't want to give me the amount that they had originally said. However he tells me that they CAN do it for 40 dollars. Within 5 minutes they have a temporary screen on my phone and my iCloud is removed... I was furious. They had another man finish the transaction, looking for any shred of customer service I ask if they could give me anything more than 40 dollars if I decided to purchase a case from their store rather than just take the cash. So he asks a supervisor if they can. The supervisor stares at my phone for a minute and says "well that's the quote we have you" I return with "actually this is the quote you gave me" and slide the 100 dollar quote in front of him, he glances at it and just says that I already agreed to 40. I was asking 5-10 dollars extra, that's it, and they couldn't even manage that despite lying and cheating their way out of honoring their original word. I'v never felt more disrespected by an entire staff of workers and managers in my life. I can't believe that they would treat customers like this. If the second man had told me straight from the beginning that the first quote was a mistake and that all they could give me was 40 I would have understood. But to lie to me repeatedly was just horrible, and assuming I was stupid enough to believe all of that felt even worse. I will never be returning to this store again. I'm just blown away. read more

Wireless Trendz replaced my iPhone 5S screen last Wednesday. I carried the iPhone in my baggy shorts pocket while operating a riding lawn mower Saturday afternoon. I had the phone in its Luvvitt case & did not bump, drop or bend the phone. Unfortunately, the newly replaced screen was spider cracked from the volume controls across the whole screen when I finished mowing. In fairness to Wireless Trendz, it looked like it had been banged against a desk corner, which it was not. Tim, the owner of Wireless Trendz, refused to honor the 60 day warranty because he said that their warranty clearly states that "physical damage" is not covered. Since the phone was not misused or abused, I believe the Apple OEM screen Tim claims to have installed was defective. Even the highest quality parts have some small defect rate, but Tim refused this as a possibility because he said that it was obviously "physical damage" & claimed that he would have noticed any defective part before installation. He did offer to fix the screen again for an additional $89 "even though he was under no obligation to do so". If a brand new tire blows out because One runs over stop sticks, few should expect them to be covered by warranty. But what if the tread peels off your new tires and tire shop says that it was obvious physical damage not covered by warranty? Is this the kind of service you expect? I expect more. read more

This is the best place to take your phone for repairs. The employees are courteous and friendly although they are always busy. I have oftentimes come to the store and the owners/technicians are on the floor discussing issues with the clients. I went to another phone repair store (Wireless Warehouse) bc it was in close proximity to my home and had horrible service (read my review on their page). I will never go any where else again! These people know phones and let you know what their procedures are going to be before you leave your phone with them. Go here for fast, friendly and good service! read more

Beware, the "refurbished" phones are garbage, Pd $200 and it started acting up within 5-6 weeks like locking up. It only happened a couple times and we'd just turn it off and on again but then it started really failing just after their convenient warranty of 60 days. Called to inquire and they said nope, 60 days. Too bad for you. read more

Wireless Trendz is a fine example of some of the absolute worst customer service in Springfield. You can have 8 employees in there and not one will so much as look at you let alone offered to lend a hand. They do absolutely nothing but stand around and talk to each other. Then when they can't help a clearly upset customer they blame the Machinery instead of accepting the responsibility of their failure themselves. I initially had a broken screen to be repaired on my phone. The customer staff are very friendly and considerate, however after multiple attempts the adhesive they use behind the screen doesn't hold. It is alarming in the regards I don't want my screen to fall out mid day and be charged for another repair. Hopefully this is just an anomaly compared to other screen repairs. Just something to consider. read more

Pretty disappointing. Wireless Trendz appears to be a place that repairs your cell phone. I actually went to purchase a phone, and my experience wasn't very good. I have to admit, I had done some research, so I was pretty clear in what I wanted. A nice young lady asked if she could help me, and when I started asking her questions, it was clear really early, that I knew way more than she did. I realize it isn't fair to expect her to know everything, but her knowledge was pretty low on networks, phone compatibility, and general phone knowledge. I left with the same feeling I often get from Best Buy. These stores seem to hire folks that I'm sure are nice, but they seem to lack knowledge of the product they are trying to sell. I left without buying anything. If I need a case or accessory, maybe I'll be back, but to purchase a phone or get technical assistance - I think I'll pass. read more

On Friday the 17th I dropped my phone and shattered the screen. I took my phone into Wireless Trendz and they told me it would be 3 hours before it was fixed and to come back at 6:30. I came back around 6:45 and they were "running" a bit behind. I decided that was no problem and continued to be nothing but polite. They were fixing my phone for me and I was grateful. I got my phone back and paid them $135. I was so happy to have my phone back and fully functional. On Saturday I worked all day so my phone usage was minimal. I noticed the top right hand corner of my phone wasn't quite in the case so I pushed down on the screen to pop it back in, after all I did just pay $135 for this puppy. I didn't want to break it again. So as I press on it, I notice it won't go back in. So I shrug and decide to look at it on Sunday. I go to bed and wake up to my screen being cracked in that top right corner. I was so irritated! I took my case off and notice the screen wasn't even set into my phone! The whole right said was popping out. So I took it back in on Monday the 20th (because they are closed on Sunday's) and they tell me my phone has a "slight bend" and that can sometimes happen, but unfortunately my screen is now void of warranty because it's cracked. I explained to them what happened and they told me it was my fault and that I should have brought it in instead of trying to fix the problem myself. I calmly explained what happened again to the manager, who I requested a conversation with. I told him there was never a mention of a bend in my phone before I left it and that every ding and nick was noted however no bend was mentioned. It also was not noted on my paperwork. He said they would check that out to be sure and then tried to give me the "I'm a small business owner" speech... how every dollar counts and he's been doing this for 10 years and he can't jus take my word for it. I quickly shot him down by telling him, I too was a business owner. That if my employee messed up, I would own it and fix the issue for free. He then diverts the conversation and asked me why I didn't bring the phone in on Saturday. I told him it was late when I noticed it and they were closed, I then said, "I googled your store hours and you were closed Sunday." He then said, "well then why didn't you come in on Monday?!" At this point he has a tone and is getting impatient with me. I calmly respond, "today IS Monday sir." He gets this look on his face, like he can't think of what else to say and that's when he decided that he could help me, but only because he was a "good man" and I'm a customer he'd like to keep. So he gave me 50% off of another screen. Not only did he try to tell me that he was making zero money off of this deal, but he has never done this for anyone before and he "hopes i'm thankful." I am so disgusted with the way this "small business" handled my situation. Instead of admitting fault and doing the right thing, they chose to make an extra buck. Scam alert, even if THEY can't get there phone you got from them too work they will charge a restocking fee and waste a half hour of your life before giving a refund. I mean a 2 day return policy and a 20-30 percent restocking fee? Seems this store knows they only sell junk. read more

I went here after I dropped my phone and the screen was cracked. I talked to a guy at the south store, they didn't have the screen so he called the north store to see if my screen was in stock there, it was they said. So I took my phone to the north store. Come to find out, they told me that they in fact did NOT have the correct screen in stock and that I would have to wait a week for it to get in stock. Ok I said, I understand, things happen. A week passed and I went and got my phone. Looked ok to me. Took it home and that night cracks started to form in the screen, mind you, I didn't drop it or bump into anything with it. I babied it until I had gotten my case. One big crack across the screen formed, another two formed and rendered my phone unusable. I took it back to the north store two days later (it was the weekend), after I had taken it to AT&T and asked what they thought about it. They told me it seemed as if it was installed incorrectly or a bad LCD screen. The manager at the north store told me he could do nothing because it wasn't in warranty and that the best he could do was give me 20% off the next screen. I was angry. I'm not paying another 100+ dollars for a screen that should have been fixed the first time. I called the main store and they gladly covered it under warranty, saying they usually don't do this. I understand, its a man. warranty to protect them. But if it wasn't installed correctly, whats protecting me? I got it fixed for free and whatnot, after speaking to the owner and telling them of my problem. When I pick up my phone they tell me it was dropped (which it wasn't ). I babied my phone and made sure never to take it out until I was standing still or sitting down. THEN I get home and notice that the top of the LCD is coming off of the base of the phone. So at this point, I have wasted my warranty with my phone company also 100+ dollars on a fix that should have been taken care of but wasn't. I'll never go back. This place saved me a lot of money! My Galaxy S3 was having some major charging issues and I definitely didn't want to mess with my carrier or buying a new phone unless I had to. I dropped off my phone around 11:45am and it was ready to pick up by 1:45pm. They charged $30 ($20 for looking at the phone and $10 for repair), which I thought was very reasonable. They were very polite and to the point, offering other alternatives if they had been unable to repair the phone. Definitely give them a chance if you are having phone issues! read more

Very poor service. I went into Wireless Trendz to buy an iPhone 4s with sprint. When I walked in never gotten any attention from an associate. After having to hound down someone for assistant I finally got some older lady to come help me out. I went ahead and bought an iPhone from here. I told the associate I wanted to pay 200 dollars on my card and 100 cash. She agreed to do so. When she was ringing me out, I dropped my phone and while I was picking it up I noticed she never put the 100 dollars in the cash register. At the time I didn't think anything of it. Few hours after I got home I checked my bank statement to notice she charged me the full amount of 300 dollars on my card ! After I told her not to charge it all on my card. Furious I went up to the store to ask to speak to a manager because I wasn't going to let her steal the 100 from me! Some young looking teenager said "they were busy" but she would either charge me the full price again on my card so they can refund me the money( which doesn't make sense) or give me 100 back cash. I took the money they pretty much stole from me and decided to keep the phone. Most times I would of returned something from a company that stole from me but I was in need of a phone. Never again will I do business with this local company and I definitely did not recommend this to anyone. Beware of this scamming, sketchy business!!! read more

These guys are scammers, see in there mind you are looking to get them. So instead of a fair return policy you get 2 days and a mandatory restocking fee. I got a iPhone 4s from them and they to test the ESN put it on there account then "took" it off. Of course this did nothing to help me put the phone on Strait Talk and it can take weeks to reflect this. Only if I used Sprint could they call and verify. The phone had active service on it under there name. I mean how unprofessional can you get? They they refused to waive the restocking fee because I didn't have a Strait Talk CDMA card, of course no such thing exists and they could see the Strait Talk website say it isn't clear. Oh and there are at least 5 "owners", none actually own the store and most have no idea how cell phones work aka CDMA card.... read more

I called ahead of time and drive two hours to get my phone fixed. Granted it was Black Friday, the representative told me they could do it on the phone at this location. I got there and the rep wanted me to go to there other store. I don't know my way around Springfield and didn't know how to get there and I don't have gps. I wouldn't have come if they told me over the phone they couldn't repair it. I need my phone for work and needed it repaired immediately so I asked them to take the back off of my s7 edge and they damaged the back and still wanted me to pay and continued to reiterate that they were "too busy " to fix my phone after they told me they could on the phone. I told them they damaged the back, and the representative said" ok then, what do you want me to do?" And I said I wasn't paying them $20 for damaging my phone. He said okay then don't pay, have a good day. I understand you were busy , but you should get your facts straight before telling a customer you can repair there phone and making them drive through Black Friday traffic for two hours to be told to go somehow here else and that you can't help them. They won't ever be getting my money or business and I suggest you don't get your phone fixed here. read more

This place does not back up their product. We bought an LG 4G for $208 and it started acting up within 7 weeks of purchase. Took it back and after they looked it over we were told it had a bad circuit board and no fault of ours; then they changed the story, accused us of getting it wet (although the internal watermark showed no moisture) or dropping it. Neither happened. Tim Williams the owner was aggressive and rude. He said they would charge a 30% restocking fee. Re-stocking?? It didn't work. I asked if they would exchange for one that did work and also buy anothe phone for my daughter and was refused. When I asked to go ahead and get a cash refund less the restocking usury charge, they put me on hold never to pick up again. We went to the store and picked it up in person to get the sim card and take to ATT and bought a new Droid. Never do business here. I really don't know how they stay in business. read more

We have been a customer of this company for a year or better and when my daughter wanted a new phone I thought this would be a good place to go. The phone was an LG G4 and the cost was $200 +tx. It worked for less than 2 months and started cutting out, freezing up and shutting down. Our mistake was not taking it to them immediately due to going past the 2 month warranty by a few days. I spoke to the owner Tim Williams who continually interrupted and spoke aggressively before offering to give us credit less 30%. They said it had a circuit board with damage and was not something she did at first, then Tim accused he of getting moisture in the phone (although the phone showed no signs of moisture) and then suggested she had dropped it. She had not. They would not exchange for a different phone without dinging us for 30% after having the defective phone for 2 months. We had hoped to exchange the damaged phone for and something similar and planned to buy another Iphone for my other daughter however, we will not patronize this business. They do not stand behind their products. Beware consumers, there are other better options than this retailer. read more
