Unfortunately, if you've purchased a phone online And opt to not up-sale they'll send you out with the pitch "you'll get your phone activated faster at home?!?! Of course that doesn't make sense because the average person doesn't have a landline and you'll need another phone to activate the new phone. Their was one too many issues with this location to the point that customer care pretty much covered my next months bill. The customer service representative experienced the weird rudeness from this store while I was there and gave me $75 in credits. Thankful for the customer service representative. Horrible customer service, I had to visit 4 separate times in an attempt to return an iPhone but each time not one person in the store could help me so I visited another store and they resolved the issue for me in 5 minutes. I worked with a young lady named Princess. She was kind and seemed knowledgeable. When I went home I discovered she made a mistake by putting my daughters number on my phone and vice versa. It was very frustrating, I live an hour away, the next Verizon store I went to was a waste of time. She gave me her phone number and she never responded to my calls. Kudos to Jimmy (and to his manager) for attempting to help me fix my Motorola phone. Wouldn't make or accept a call after downloading the Android 10 update. Turns out, whatever update Motorola released, when installed, allowed internet and text but not phone calls : ( Took the guys a while to determine my problem, but, they did not wince at spending the time and I am glad I have been a Verizon customer for 16 years. I appreciate the concern for customer service and hope they will take my feedback to improve their service. I was impressed on how quickly they contacted me and that they were interested in my comments. I should also add that the sales person that I did speak with was very nice and attentive. Terrible. I went in to check on switching carriers and buying 2 new Android phones. I got stuck with a pushy, aggressive salesperson who tried to sell me extras I didn't want and ended up with a price that wasn't competitive. I walked out. As I was in my car and preparing to go to my next stop, he came running out of the store, waving paperwork in the air and trying to get me to go back inside. Didn't work. I went elsewhere. I went to this Verizon store 11/21/2020 and Mike helped me. He never ordered my new phone and he messed up my account so that I can't order a new phone. I am on the phone with customer service right now and she is just as confused about what Mike did as well. This isn't my first time going through something like this. Worst service ever. After putting my name in and waiting a short while one of the attendants on the floor came to help me turn in my IPhone 6 and 7 plus after I purchased new ones over the phone with Verizon on Cyber Monday. The service I received over the phone from Willie was great and the offer was for new iPhone 11's and I would get 200 in trade for my iPhone 6 and 350 for my IPhone 7plus. The Verizon rep on the phone said I could return the phones within 30 days to a corporate store and they would take the money off my bill. Fast forward a week later I try to take the phones back to this store (in original boxes) and after being told by the attendant that these could not be purchased from Verizon because he was unable to scan in the code on my boxes. He then left abruptly to follow the UPS or Fed ex guy into the back office (all without saying a word to me like maybe excuse me for a minute) the he returns a couple minutes later to try to scan the boxes in again. He finally gets the iPhone 6 to scan and tells me my phone is only worth 18 dollars. Then another girl attendant comes over and first states that's true then quickly states that oh it is an Iphone 6 and is worth 100 dollars. I told them this was the deal I was promised over the phone on Cyber Monday and they say no such deal exists. So I say forget to them and go back and call Verizon and now wait another hour on line to take care of it... What great customer service its pretty clear why this store gets such bad ratings and I am a Southfield city employee to boot. read more

Do not go to this location. They have horrible customer service. The lady who helped me kept making jokes with another coworker while helping me then walked off with my new iPhone and box for a long time to go joke with more coworkers. She even took the plastic off of everything, after I asked her not to. When I got home I discovered that my usb wall charger was missing out of my box of my box. She had stole it. I called the store and the manager denied it and was not helpful at all. If you are trying to get a new phone and want to go home with everything that you paid for, do yourself a favor and do NOT go to this store. read more

This place is a joke! I had an issue with my IPhone, Michael "the tec" guy said he could take care of it, not a problem. Some how he makes the phone worse! So he couldn't fix it and calls his manager over name Killen, Kallen, something like that to see if he could fix it, he couldn't fix it either. Everyone in there seems clueless or on something. Their not customer friendly at all, least not the employees I saw working that day, and I mean ALL the employees. They all looked tired, depressed or high. And not once but TWICE, one of the employees sent two customers across the street to Best Buy for their phone issues! LoL Never again I pray I have to set foot in this Verizon location! read more

I am writing this review to let other Yelpers know about they way Verizon (mis)handles screen protectors. When I bought my iPhone 6 plus, I purchased a fairly expensive glass screen protector at the suggestion of the sales person. Within a very short time, that screen protector chipped and cracked. So I brought the phone back to the Verizon store. When I got there, I was told that the screen protector I bought had no warranty. I was also told that if I had bought the even more expensive Zagg screen protector, that would have been covered under warranty. So since I now needed a new screen protector anyway, I bought the really expensive Zagg screen protector. I think it cost about $ 35.00. Now here it is, less than a year later and the Zagg screen protector is chipped badly too. So I called Verizon and spoke with an online representative. The online representative told me to take the phone to the Verizon store and that they would replace it for me for free. I asked that representative if she knew if they had inventory. She suggested that I call the store and speak with a representative (option 3). So I did that. The store representative told me that I had gotten bad information from the online representative. He told me to go to the Zagg website and get the warranty replacement sent to me at home and that the store could put it on for me. So I went to the Zagg website and processed a warranty replacement. Zagg charged me 6 or 7 dollars shipping charge. So now I have bought two screen protectors and paid an outrageous "shipping and processing charge" just to get my warranty replacement. My recommendation to customers is to get screen protectors form a cheaper source and not from Verizon. I got bad advice from the first salesperson and bought a screen protector that had no warranty. I paid a lot for the second screen protector, only to find that it cost me even more money to get the warranty "processed." I believe that I could have bought a pile of good screen protectors online for less money than I have paid so far. This entire screen protector process at Verizon Wireless seems like a way to extract money. I guess the screen protector might have protected my phone, but nothing protected my wallet. read more

Not pleased with this store I took my mother to this store to add her on with me because she was having trouble with her phone with another carrier. we sigh our name in to be waited on a guy name Michael came out to talk to us about porting her number I feel he was very in impatient I ask him how much would it be he act like he did not what to explain he said it would not be that much he said he will send me a email in stead of telling me how much its going to be he act like sending a email was the only way to explain I feel he just fast talk us out of there when I got home to see a email that said 178.77 dollars would be due I was furious he did not explain this to me when I asks him to break down the amount. Bait and Switch BS! We purchased new phones a few days ago and were quoted a monthly price. Our sales representative emphasized even though we had gotten the shatter-proof screen droids, with our new plan we would be paying less per month, around 90.00 "with tax" to be exact. This is a savings of forty dollars, plus, we were able to get a nice speaker to sync with Pandora. Sound too good to be true? Sure was within days we were getting odd notifications about our data plan pro-ration, and billing. Upon calling Verizon to clarify it transpired that far from paying less with these phones and this plan, we would be paying MORE!!! Thirty dollars more than our old plan, even though we would have less data. Since we were deceived, and since our old phone cost the same new as these current phones, we asked for some sort of compensatory deal. We were told, after much wrangling, we could have our old plan back, IF WE PAY $200.00 PER PHONE! We have been good customers for fifteen years.
