I came in to fix a deeply chipped phone and was worried that it would take longer than a day, even though I had a flight the next day. I came in, they talked to be about insurance which helped me know what I had access to and was super helpful, they checked the price with me before checking that they had the parts, they found the parts, and gave me an estimate of 2-3 hours. When I came back I did have to wait in line a bit, but it was worth it because my phone was fixed and completely back to normal. Great service and amazing work. read more

What was the most frustrating thing was the fact that they had to order a part, and it took nearly a week to get there. Bros: you work 20 mins from MicroCenter... There's no reason why you guys don't have an account with them and can get parts way quicker. I get you want to make your 600% markup on parts but to have a customer wait a full week for a part that microcenter had available for pickup same day is insane. And when I offered to go get it FOR you, you say that you don't allow that... won't come here again. Just bring your stuff to microcenter read more

These guys are so helpful, friendly and get the job done. I walked in this morning completely panicked and they solved my problem in less than 10 minutes. Thank you! read more

I filed a claim with Asurion, received a claim # and proceeded to the store. The store said they could not find the claim. They said they could not look it up by the claim # and the claim was not coming up by the phone #. They said I needed to call Asurion to have them push the claim through. They said this has happened in the past. I called Asurion (over seas call center) and they said they should be able to look it up by claim #. Just getting the run around. No resolution yet and the store just wanted us out of there... This is clearly an Asurion issue as I have a claim and this store listed as the repair location. read more

This place is awesome. Seth is awesome. He's so cool and nice. Fixed my phone so fast

I walked into this location reluctantly as I've previously had a horrible experience at the Van Dyke location and vowed to never visit another uBreakiFix ever. Immediately James was attentive and personable. I was replacing the screen on a 9th gen iPad. It was affordable and he made it a point to get it back to me quickly! I look forward to doing business with them in the future! read more

I wouldn't recommend taking an Xbox here for repair. It costs $100 just for them to look at it (not including cost of replacement pieces). And if they can't fix it like it my case, the $100 is non refundable. Depending on the model, you're better off getting a new device. read more

Took my phone in for a new screen, now the microphone on my phone doesn't work. It was fine before my phone went in for the new screen and afterwards it's not. But they claim they didn't touch it and I will have to pay for a new microphone, if that even fixes the issue. I do not recommend this place. Go right to the Apple Store. I'm regretting I tried to save money by going here and. Ow it will cost more to fix than if I had just gone to the Apple Store. read more

Took two phones in for battery replacement. Made an appointment via phone several days earlier to make sure the batteries were in stock. Also gave complete information to make this repair in MY name rather than my wife's. On the morning we dropped off the phones I AGAIN put the repair in MY name and provided my email address so they could let me know when the phones were finished. I was told that repairs would take about 4-5 hours, but waited 7 hours before borrowing a phone and calling to check. I was then told that the phones had been ready after only 3 hours and that I'd been emailed and also my WIFE (who was working all day) had been called and a message left with HER. Checked my email again, and there was still no sign of any notification. Went to pick up the phones, and paid for each separately. Paid for one phone first, and that seemed to go fine, but when I went to pay for the second phone (why separately??) I inserted my chip card into the reader and an error popped up that the card couldn't be processed. The card info was entered by hand, and this time the transaction went through. The phones looked fine and the batteries performed like new, so there was no problem until I saw on my banking app that I had been billed TWICE for the second battery. I called up UBreakIFix and explained that I had been billed an extra time but was informed that no manager was on site, so I'd have to come back later. A day or so later I dropped in and was told that without a receipt for the second phantom repair I couldn't GET a refund (HUH?), and that I would have to get my bank to reverse the charges. The UBreakIFix system wasn't equipped to do returns without some long, drawn out hassle. I couldn't request a stop payment through my banking app, so I had to make a separate trip to the bank and talk to a manager who suggested we handle it by contesting the charge rather than filing a stop payment, because THAT would cost me $15. So now, 5 days later I see the extra charge has been returned to my account, and I have started getting friendly emails fromUBreakIFix about customer satisfaction surveys and helpful tips for phone owners to increase battery life, etc. When it came to the actual work on the phones this place did a good job, but in terms of followup and notifications and billing they failed on several levels. I suspect that this is a case of a business using their technician employees to run all aspects of the business like billing and clerical duties rather than pay another person to handle the non repair duties I plan to look for some other business to handle future repairs. read more

Under promised and overdelivered! Thoroughly satisfied with workmanship!! Phone looks brand new! Glad it could be saved versus replacing entire device.!! Fast and efficient!! read more

They were very friendly and explained what it might cost. Fixed my iPad and it was cheaper then what they quoted.

Don't go here. They charged me $233 for a $3 part and an hour of labor to replace an HDMI port on a PlayStation 5. Twice during the repair process they called to upsell me a console cleaning which to be honest would be an easy and basically free value ad for them to include in their exorbitant repair fee. What they didn't know is that before I took the console in, I did a teardown of the unit and completely cleaned it inside and out with an air gun and rubbing alcohol, proving that they are scammers looking to take advantage of uninformed people. They called me back 2 days later to pick up my unit. When I showed up at the store they were taking advantage of another customer who had a laptop with a broken hinge who honestly just needed some help getting their passwords backed up to their google account, instead of being offered a $150 repair on a $200 laptop. When it was my turn I asked the cashier if they would demonstrate the repair for me since when I had been there last they showed a customer that their laptop was fixed. I was told no and sent on my way only to find out when I got home and plugged my console back in that now the HDMI port that was installed was not seated correctly and my original hdmi cable no longer fit the new hdmi port, I also observed that now just touching my console causes the hdmi and internet to temporarily disconnect when prior to the repair you could move the console around without issue. I will be issuing a chargeback to my credit card for services not provided once I tear the unit down again and document how they botched the repair. You can't charge such an insane premium and upsell someone and also do a trash job. I'll never do business or recommend this company to anyone, they just make more headaches and work for you than solving any real problems. read more

Super friendly and helpful people. I thought I had a broken lightning connector on my iPhone. Turned out the socket was jammed with sawdust- they cleaned it out, no charge. I'll be back when I have serious problems with my other devices. read more

They gave me an estimate and repair time and held go to their word. Staff answered all my questions and went above and beyond.

I am only giving one star because you can not give zero. I came into the store today and observed the technician rudely handling a customers concerns. Everything about his tone, body language and facial expressions showed he was frustrated with the customer because he could not honor her request. The customer wanted to have the check in day for her computer on her receipt after she had stated several times that she needed to have the receipt for reimbursement purposes. When she asked him to write it on the receipt, he stated "I have no idea what that will do for you" as he wrote it down on the sheet with attitude. After the woman left I stepped up to the counter for assistance. I needed to have a screen repair down because the lcd went out on my work phone. I explained that I knew that the back was broken as well but did not care about that repair. He kept insisting they had to do the back also and it would take 3-4 hours. Finally I said okay. It's my work phone and I just need to get back online as swiftly as possible. He asked for my phone number and I gave it to him. However, he could not locate the account and when he pulled it up under my name, the agent had used my dad's number as the number since we are on same account. He then states that I must sign out of my apple ID. I told him I had tried several different ways and did not know the password. He stated the phone could be fixed but not through my insurance. He then hands me an ipad to sign in, I told him once more that I had no idea what the password was and would be unable to sign in. He started to give me the same attitude as the previous customer so I asked if there was someone else to help me. He walks to the back of store, still in ear shot and says the woman upfront needs help and is refusing to sign out of her apple id. Another technician walks to the front and I told him I never refused to sign out, that I was actually unable to sign out. For the record I had already been to the Verizon store and apple BEFORE arriving there, and that I felt the tech was still frustrated from his encounter before. The tech started telling me about how he was not rude to the previous customer, and how he was listening from the back. At this point we started to go back and forth about his interactions. As we were discussing the tech is in the back and says "She was just another stupid customer, who doesnt even know her phone number, at that point I yelled back to him that the number used was another number on the account and not my number. He yells back that he is done with me and to just talk to the other tech, whose customers service was just as poor as his. I walked out of the store very angry. I have been with verizon for 30 years, and have maybe broken 1 or 2 phones, never have I had such a poor experience. read more

These guys are really great! Always professional and kind. Alex has taken my phone in a few times for me. He listens and does an outstanding job of communicating. My highest praise goes to Josh. I had an issue with my phone and he was very understanding. He listened and took his time with me. Very compassionate and very knowledgeable about the products he sells. My suggestion is don't wait for your phone to break to go in. When you get a new phone go straight here and ask them to help you choose a warranty screen and case. I'm sold on this shop and will be a dedicated customer. Five amazing stars for this location. read more

Excellent, factory authorized service. Repaired my phone in two hours. Kind, professional staff.

Absolutely a scam do not bother. Ruined my device and said they cant do anything because I agreed to the work performed even though it should be covered under warranty for defective parts. Absolutely trash read more

TLDR; First paragraph is the good. Second is the very, very bad and reason I am barely happy giving 1 star. Employee was a sexist jerk with poor communication and customer service skills. I had an unfortunate coffee incident with my iPad this morning and scheduled an appointment online which was easy. I got a follow-up phone call from someone who was very patient and kind, asked me what was going on and listened to my concerns. He explained what they'd need to do and how much it would cost. I told him I'd be a little early depending on my work schedule. I arrived about an hour early and was immediately side-eyed by the dude behind the counter for even thinking I'd need to make an appointment. Gosh I'm so stupid. So I say about a half a sentence to him about what happened and he immediately raises his voice at me wondering why I even had the iPad on and how could I do that because I'd fry it! So stupid of me, a woman, again. Even though I talked to someone hours earlier and they didn't suggest turning it off, I assumed they'd need to see the screen damage. So I powered it off while he was talking about what they'd need to do, how long it would take, etc. The whole time I'm trying to get a word in edge-wise to explain what happened, reiterate that it's still working, etc. and maybe ask some questions. But the dude just kept talking and talking. So he says $79 to put it in the dehydrator for a couple days which was fine, but then all of a sudden he decides that they definitely need to replace the entire screen and that'll be $329. This was out of nowhere with no explanation and again after asking me NOTHING. So I decided it wasn't worth it, said "no thanks", and he just threw the iPad back on the counter and said nothing else to me. This was perhaps the worst customer service experience I've had in my life and I will never be returning to this or any other location. Ladies, I know it's 2022 but this is also metro Detroit so either find a different location or send a man. Sorry. read more

Came in to get my screen replaced on my iPhone X. Repair was complete in 20-30 minutes and the price was even lower than what was quoted online. Completely satisfied with the job done and their customer service. Although I don't want to have a cracked screen again, if I do I feel better knowing that the team here can fix my phone and have it working again in no time. read more

Not happy with the repair. I had such a minor//small crack on the middle on my screen that I came in to get repaired. Upon pick up I was told that my home button was now not working...... I would have rather lived with the cracked screen or just gotten a new phone. They blamed it on a crack that they said was right by the home button.... which when I dropped the phone off didn't have one anywhere near it. Well congrats to me I now Have an even more broken phone and all I got was 20% off. read more

Highly recommend! I came to them with a laptop that needed a new fan. Which the replaced quickly. Mentioned my desk top computer that hadn't been able to start up in years but I was reluctant to recycle due to having hundreds of photos on it. They were able to transfer all of my photos and everything else that was on my desk top computer to an external hard drive (which I purchased elsewhere). Now I can transfer the photos to another computer of my choice whenever I want. read more

uBreakiFix is top notch! I needed my iPhone fixed for sometime and like a lot of people I need my phone for work and worried a repair job would take all day so when I took my phone in and asked how long it would take I was surprised to hear they could fix my phone within two hours. Two hours later my iPhone was good as new and off I went. For smartphone and iPad repairs I highly recommend uBreakiFix! read more

It was "ok". Masks and social distancing were not enforced. Some customers didn't have them on. Both techs had masks on but their noses weren't covered. My phone was promised ready by "3:30 at the latest" (an hour and a half). I called at 3:30 and got voicemail. When I showed up at 3:45 I had to wait for several customers to finish before I got to the desk. I was told my phone was not ready and that it would be another 30-60 minutes. I spoke to the tech that took my phone and he said they were "really busy" and that he was half way through the repair. I waited an additional 20 minutes. I then found out that Apple glass was not used on my iPhone. That would have raised the price about $150. I was not, however, given the choice when my phone was looked over for the cracked screen repair. All in all it is something that needs to get done, and you're at the mercy of the merchant. It seemed to make no difference at all that I scheduled the appointment the night before. read more

My first experience with them and I must say it was a real pleasure. The countryman (Mike) was very polite and professional.
