When we walked in we were immediately greeted by Jaelin. He immediately started the process of getting the phone we inquired about and started the process of getting us set up. He asked about warranties, cases, ect. After deciding on a case he informed us of a promotion so we got a couple of more accessories. He was not high pressure...he just wanted to be sure we had what we needed. His service skills are impeccable and he knows his stuff. I learned a lot from him and when we walked out the door the new phone was just like the one we brought in. He took the time to transfer everything, install the screen protector, and also install the case. We could not be happier with the service he provided. 5 star service for sure.

I turned in my cable box and cancelled my service at the Kitty Hawk, OBX Spectrum store on the morning of 8/26. I asked if I was all closed out and no more billing? The Spectrum rep said oh no you need to pay $235.00 for the month of September (8/26-9/25). I said that is crazy, may I speak to the manager. The rep said she is not available. I said is she here? He said she is out back training a new employee. I said please go get her I'm not leaving without speaking to her. The irritated manager came out and said I will have to pay the final bill before 9/15. She said that Spektrum does not offer pro-rate refunds. I said I'm just one day late and the office was closed the past two days. She said there was nothing she could do and was unwilling or unable to make an escalation call for a waiver of the final bill. When I went home, I called a Spectrum HQ support number and spoke to a person, and they said the boss that could waive the final bill was out of the office and that she would send him an email with my request and reason. It appears that the only thing that happened was the bill went from $235.00 to $227.00. In conclusion, it appears that Charter/Spectrum's only game in town arrogance continues as demonstrated by providing an overpriced marginal product and poor customer service. Thank goodness there is now Ripple fiber.

Well this one does not and is straight forward cell cases and repair. My daughter specifically needed an iPod 6 case. Not an easy task after the Apple store discontinued selling and Target had little selection. I should have probably checked Amazon but the little diva wanted one NOW! This store has been in there at least since the remodel, so up to a year. The Apple store referred us to them since they are not far from their door and they know that the chances are good they will have what we need. I was stunned to find no one manning the area. A vendor right beside us said that was unusual and he would be right back. After waiting up to 5 minutes someone did appear and was unapologetic which ticked me off. After discussing our needs he showed my daughter what they had. There was a decent selection which gets them a bump in my book. He even took them out to inspect closer and at the end she did purchase one. The prices are all higher than what you would probably find any where else, so if your in need last second go for it. However, I really don't recommend unless you have tried other places. They also do repairs if that is something that your looking for. Smooth checkout of our product. Really a 2.5, but will round up because my daughter was happy.

After receiving my new screen for my cell phone I realized that the screen was not OEM and purple wavy distortions but this did not seem to affect to the screen. I went on my merry way and not even a day later I when I was on my phone I literally watched the screen crack. I thought that this was strange so I called the store seeking some resolution. The Owner of the kiosk was very rude and explained how he could do nothing. He explained how they would cover anything not working but not cracks. After more conversation, he said that he would install a new screen free of charge (est. $50) if I bought a new screen (est. $230). I was not happy with this so I asked for a corporate number to which he only replied that he was the boss. I did find that there was a corporate number and filed a request with them on September 17th. I was informed that they would get back to my request in 24-48 hours. It actually took 3 days to respond but that wasn't a big deal, however, during this time my phone completely stopped working out of the blue. I notified Cierra, the person who was working on my request, about the new development. I mentioned to Cierra that my phone also had gauge marks on the phone from where metal tools were used to remove the screen (industry standard is to use plastic tools). She asked me to send the pictures in so I complied. Little did I know that these pictures were used to say that the gouge marks would not cause the screen damage or the phone not to work. Cierra closed my request and explained how the owner would only cover 15% of the installation and she cited how this is a store issue and not the company's issue. As of right now, the screen is cracked, there is something rattling around my phone, and the phone will no longer power up. Do not got to the one in Lynnhaven mall.

It was a stressful afternoon. The Carbon Monoxide Detector I had inherited started continuously…read morebeeping. The battery compartment was sealed. There was no way to remove the battery & stop the beeping. The display indicated it had reached the end of its life. Everything I found in research was for units whose battery could be replaced. FINALLY I found a Reddit post for the same model which detailed how to stop the beeping. Whewww.,.... The next step was to find a location that would accept it for recycling since it couldn't be disposed of with regular trash. The city, even the 2nd Precinct Police Station, was absolutely no help. Finally.....I found this close business & it was still open. I called Mr. Fix, telling him what I had, and he confirmed that he would take this evil device that had ruined my afternoon. The outside of the store was well maintained with nice signage & tasteful advertising on the windows. Entering the store I found a clean, neatly organized business with a friendly man behind the counter. He immediately knew who I was, probably from my still present vestiges of the continuous beeping stress. He immediately popped open the sealed compartment, removed the battery & cut out a capacitor. We discussed his personal projects that I know require soldering skills that are hard to find in today's generation. Having been in the electronics repair business for 25 years, I recognized him as someone who was competent in his skills & enjoyed electronics repair. Although my experience with the business was in electronics recycling I would feel comfortable with his working on my beloved iPhone & iPad. I'm happy that he will make use of the components in devices recycled with him (not in Phones or Tablets, of course). They won't end up in a garbage dump. The location is in the strip shopping center located on the southeast corner of the intersection on Pleasure House Road & Shore Drive. Parking is adequate. I found a space directly in front of the business. This is a business I would highly recommend for electronics recycling. From my observations of his care & work on the circuit board of the evil unit that I had abandoned, I would think he showed equal care on devices brought to him for repair.
