Wow, it was last Sunday morning about 11 AM and all I wanted to do was sleep late, read the paper and nuzzle with the cats. But, I realized my phone wasn't working correctly. It wasn't going to VM and I couldn't dial out. I lost my hubby to cancer 2 years ago. The adjustment has been horrendous. When he was alive, all he had to do was look at a problem, talk to the piece of equipment and then hand it back to me, fixed. My service guy at Verizon, at Lakeshore Plaza? I"m 99% sure his name was Giovanni. Giovanni, if I messed up your name, I AM SOOOOO SORRY!!! But then, you turned the airplane mode to "on" and said to me: "Now all we have to do is let it rest." You did that for about 3 minutes. Then, you turned the phone back on to a cacophony of messages, uploading. I almost started crying. Thank you to the person at Verizon who hired Giovanni. And "G?" To be fair my Marine Corps buddy & his wife in New Jersey had the opposite experience of me. I went to my local Verizon store and have received the worst experience ever with a wireless carrier. Their customer service is the worst. After I decided to go with another carrier they said I could return my router by UPS & that would be that. I called over 40 times told them I had the receipt. They took me to collections then gave me a worthless credit card for $20 declined when I used it.Go with any other carrier than them. read more

Two things: 1. This is not a Verizon store. Victra is just an authorized retailer, so there is less recourse in dealing with issues. 2. Before signing and paying for anything, take the time to read the invoice. When they say "it's mostly just sales tax" - focus on the MOSTLY part. Long story short, avoid this store at all costs. Just go to a real Verizon store. I am literally calling the Verizon customer service every two weeks for last 3 months to undo a lot of the mess this store has caused. Below is what happened to me and all the issues. My experience with this store was horrible. I used this location because it was closest to my house. I spent there for 3 weekends with an average of 3 hours. Some background, i was switching to verizon from Tmobile and my family wanted new phones. There was a promotion where you trade in an old useable phone and you get credit towards the new phone. My family traded in two phones for the credit. They told us we have 30 days to bring back the old phone to apply the credit towards the lines starting on the day of receiving the new phone. My family traded in the 1st phone on the day we purchased and the next week we traded in the other phone. When we traded our second phone, they told me I can't trade in. We had to do it on the same day. I was really frustrated because they literally told us last we had 30 days. The next issue i had is after i heard i can't trade in is i called the verizon customer service. The representative that helped me said they can't trade in because they set up the accounts incorrectly and now they can't reverse it. I was mad but kindly enough the verizon rep assisted me if i upgrade my plan. I agreed to that and we were able to trade in. The next issue i have with this store is my family wanted to keep our numbers when we converted over. The reps in this store set up where we have 7 lines instead of 4. So we had to pay an extra 3 lines that we are not using. Luckily again Verizon was able to reverse it, but they can't reverse the tax. As such, i still had to pay like $30 in taxes. Again, avoid this store. I hate writing bad reviews, but I don't want others to experience what i went through. read more

Terrible experience. Went into store trying to change from expensive plans on another carrier to cheaper Verizon plans. Rep tried to add all kinds of extras to my proposed new plan without asking me first or explaining anything. If I had accepted their proposed plan, I would have ended up with a $300 phone bill for 3 lines! And that's WITHOUT any new phones. Just for example, the rep tried to slip in a $57/month AppleCare-like plan. $57/month?! WTF! She added it without asking me. As other reviewers have said, this is not a real Verizon store. Hi! I went in this location to get a new phone after mine was unfortunately stolen. Crystaline helped me out and was seriously the shining ray of sunshine. After an incredibly stressful night/morning I was so thankful to have such a kind person helping me out. She was very knowledgeable and actually really turned my mood around. What has happened with Verizon's customer service... I give 3 stars for Jason. I've come in multiple times to upgrade my phone and he's been really patient and helpful. To the woman who answered my call today - you were extremely rude and disrespectful. I called to follow up about my phone upgrade because I was told it should be in within 3-5 business days but today marks one week (the new iPhones are not in stock). She spoke to me like I was an idiot. First she said, "you ordered a phone..?" with so much attitude. After she asked for my name she told me it takes 10mins for the system to open so "do you want to wait or call back". I hung up on her. I WAS looking to switch from Sprint to Verizon and went in to this store a couple of months ago. In particular I want to keep my phone number. The gal in there told me that it wouldn't be a problem as long as I knew my Sprint password and account number. I went in today because I'm getting a new phone fairly soon and some officious guy (another employee deferred to him so I believe he's either a manager or assistant manager) tells me that it's problematic because Sprint doesn't want to give up its phone numbers and you basically have to ask them to allow you to carry over your number. Something I've never heard from anyone. Ever. I then went to another Verizon store nearby and even though they had one other customer they wanted me to sign in and wait for at least five minutes, so I walked away. I then went to an AT&T store nearby and the woman who helped me at first, like all people at all of those mobile phone stores, tried to upsell me. After I told her three times I wasn't going to buy anything from her, she got down to what I wanted. She told me that as long as my current phone was paid for and unlocked (she checked it and it is) all she needed was my password and Sprint account number. And that she'd switched over many people like myself. So basically, the manager or assistant manager at this Verizon store is just an officious toad-brain who doesn't know how to do business and in fact loses business for Verizon...way to go pal! read more

I am writing this review roughly 1.5 months after my father and I bought the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra at this store. We were sad to learn that our usual Verizon store at Westlake Plaza is now closed, so we decided to come here since my dad was in the market for a new phone. I should note that my mom and I have been using Verizon for over 10 years now and never had such a terrible experience before. We were helped by Jeroan who honestly seemed like he needed much more training before attempting to close sales with customers. He told us that our current 55+ Loyalty Unlimited plan qualified for the BOGO deal from the two phones, which would actually knock off $1000 since that was the cap. I triple checked with him and another worker (who I believe was the manager of the store), and they both assured that it would not be an issue. I accepted the offer and paid off my previous phone right then and there, costing rougly $190. Later that week, I noticed that only one of our new phones would be receiving a monthly promotional discount that comes out to $500 after 2 years. I contacted Verizon customer service who told me that our plan DOES NOT qualify for the BOGO deal and that only premium plans do. The chat representative offered to switch our plan to a premium plan (Play More Unlimited) so that we could qualify for the other $500 off, and told me that it would save $2.08/month in the long run. Of course I accepted it, it's a no brainer! The next day, I noticed that my bill skyrocketed. I called Verizon customer service this time and she apologized sincerely for all of the frustrations I've had to deal with. She once again clarified that only PREMIUM PLANS qualify for the BOGO deal and that she could only revert us back to our cheaper plan if we wanted, but forego the $500. I had no other choice but to accept that. Furthermore, I paid $341.36 at the store for the two devices and Jeroan told me that it covers the sales tax and activation/upgrade fees. Guess what? I got charged activation/upgrade fees on my account for the two devices. I had to clear this up with the Verizon customer service representative as well. The worst part is that I never even received an e-receipt for this payment. As it stands, I have no idea what the breakdown is nor what I paid for exactly. Though, they do deserve one star for this review because they were nice enough to provide me with a Post Sales Checklist sheet which documented the sale, activation/upgrade fees, and a small line at the bottom stating "BOGO ($1000) DISCOUNT" ..which all turned out to be misinformation. I honestly feel like I got scammed just so that the store could meet their sales quota. If you still plan to come to this store, make sure you're being helped by somebody who actually knows Verizon's policies and deals. Better yet, try a different store. read more

I got some awesome service today. I wanted to get a new phone and everyone here was so helpful. Mike, or I believe it is the assistant manager was the best. The associate Sarah was also very helpful in helping me get my new phone today. This staff is now one of my favorite staff and one of my favorite store locations to go to. They help me pick out the right phone as well as take the time to explain everything regarding my contract as well. I would say this is definitely a class act staff that works here now. While it did take quite a bit of time in order to set up my new phone and get all the cool accessories that go along with it it was well worth the wait. I am extremely happy with my new cell phone. Great customer service and very personable. They understand the products that they're selling which makes getting picking the right product that much easier. I give a big kudos to the manager assistant manager and all the staff for going above and beyond my expectations. read more

So I bought the device asking for a return 4 days later. Then another associate said all prepared devices can't return. If it works, who wants to return it? Concerning the Sloat Blvd, Lakeshore Shopping Center Store: I can't remember ever feeling compelled to write a Really Negative Review of a business. It takes a lot to get me riled up, but this operation is clearly out of the norm as far as Fraud, Dishonesty and flat out Lying goes. I have filed a BBB complaint against this place, and intend to make it my business to warn others of their sleazy business practices. This store is not a one-off place either. I paid nearly 1000 dollars for it, upfront, to avoid monthly charges. The phone took over a week to land on my doorstep, when it did, it was not in the color I ordered. I called Verizon, they said "visit any Verizon store" to exchange it, "no problem", just don't open the package. I visited what is branded and looks like a Verizon Store on Sloat Blvd in San Francisco's Lakeshore Shopping Center. The Store manager, someone name "Alwan" or something like that, said "I will order the color you want, just bring the other phone in and we will exchange it." OK, fine. I could wait a day. While in the store he offered what he said was a "Free IPad", all I had to pay was the sales tax. I accepted the offer as a truly generous offer, paid the tax and left. When I returned 2 days later to Exchange phones as agreed, the person on duty in the store (not the manager) refused to honor the offer to exchange the phone as agreed 2 days earlier. After an hour or so of arguing with a person who was clearly incapable of authorizing any exchange, I paid for the SECOND Phone and Left the Store, in a very bad mood. I was basically bs'd to death about the exchange policy and agreed to send it back via the online return process. When I logged in to Verizon I was Shocked to Find that the "Free IPad" was going to be billed to my account in the amount of 485 dollars, and there was a 3rd PHONE Line added to my account. None of that had been disclosed or agreed to my me. This was clearly a case of elder abuse, fraud and outright theft. I am going to pursue every legal means to recover my losses and obtain punitive damages for this scam. I also intend to file an FCC Complaint and BBB complaint against this scam operation. Nowhere is there any signage in or on the store that would indicate that it is not a Verizon Store, it is branded with the Verizon Logo on the front, and in the store. I only found out it is some other company here at Yelp, owned by someone calling themselves "Victra". Even the store itself is a lie. Verizon has no business letting this outfit damage their reputation, unless they don't give a crap. They messed with the wrong person. I spoke with a Victra Customer Support Representitive, who was very personable, and helpful. She called the Store Manager and smoothed the way for a drama-free return of the "free 470 dollar ipad" to the store. I still had to arrange the iPhone return on my own, and I'll have to spend half a day on hold at Verizon top Unwind the phone line I never agreed to purchase. If Victra values their reputation, they need to take a hard look at the practices employed by the people they employ at their stores. And in the case of this store, if it were my store, I would broom the whole staff before the sun set on the West Side of SF. If not, then change the name of the Sloat Blvd Store to "Run-Around Wireless", "Where the customer is always to blame for our dishonesty." read more

I was in need of a phone. I locked my keys and phone in car at the shopping center and the sales person at Verizon Val helped me call my car insurance to get my car door open. He helped me with the whole process and gave directions to the tow truck guy who helped me. It took very little time from the call to the auto guy to help me with my car, about 20 minutes! I visited this store on 1/1/2017 to pick up an IPhone 10 that was supposedly transferred from their Colma location. I have been a Verizon customer for 10 years and this is absolutely the worst location I have ever visited. I am genuinely concerned that the employees here have access to my personal information. The moment me and my wife walked in, we felt very uncomfortable. There were two employees present who were completely oblivious we walked in. One of the employees was hunched over in the corner with a black hoodie over his head and his expression definitely showed he did not want to be there. Later to find out this employee was the MANAGER. As we initiated the introduction, the second employee assisted us. It was obvious the second employee was somewhat new. Due to a miscommunication between the two locations, the wrong phone was ordered. The "manager" was no help to the new employee or us. It was a good 5-10 minutes before he decided to stand up, take off his hood and acknowledge we need some kind of supervisor assistance. He literally said one sentence without an apology in a very cold manner with no resolution on their part. Thanks to Mike at the Colma location, our situation will be resolved. read more

However by 6:30pm, there was no update...and I stopped by to find out the store was closed (Google lists the store closing time as 8pm). And apparently this store is also closed tomorrow!
