My husband and I went to Las Vegas Sunglasses Hut .on the strip I seen a pair of Coach Sunglasses that I wanted . My husband and I say if you give alot of money for something buy the protection plan. I preceded with purchase of the Sunglasses and used my Credit Card and told the man I wanted the protection plan. We came back to our hometown and few months later the lens ended up being messed up. I called the Wichita Sunglasses Hut, on the phone and I told her I had lost my receipt but had my credit card statement . She told me to bring in my Credit Card Statement . I get there tell the lady who I spoke with . She proceeded to tell me she couldn't find me online and there was nothing they could do for me . Really poor customer service here today 8/3/25 -- came in looking to buy multiple pairs and the two employees had no desire to help me.

Saw someone leave a review about the same issue down below. But essentially I bought a sunglasses pair that was the floor display models as they were out of stock. After I finally examined the glasses they had a minor scratch and at this point I was also gifted another pair so I decided to return them. As soon as I got there the manager Luis was super rude and had his employee help me out and I felt bad for the sales employee as I know they weren't able to do much. The manager kept avoiding his duty to listen to my issue, until I finally had to tell him that it's his job to deal with customer satisfaction issues. Once he "helped", he was super dismissive and rude and rejected my return as he was implying I had scratched them... even tho I never fully wore them and I've had them for less than a week. Referred me to customer service and didn't even give me the right number. Once I searched for the # and got on the line with customer service line, they told me they couldn't help me but they did help me set up an incident report reporting the manager. I urge anyone that has had a bad experience with him to submit one as well. Not only did Luis have horrible customer service skills, but also makes his poor employees deal with everything even though it's his responsibility to deal with more complex interactions. read more

Luis was extremely rude that dude should not be a manager at all. Feisty dude (and not in a good way ) I'm a college student and before commuting home (back to Pittsburgh) I stopped by here bc my mother wanted the same pair of Versace sunglasses I bought the previous days before but in the color silver/grey. And since it's right next to the sfsu campus thought I could do a quick errand before going back home. Showed Luis the lenscrafter price since Sunglass hut price-matches lenscrafter which thank god. This man legit looks at my phone and scrolls up and down on the website for 5minutes then says he's gonna check on his phone to make sure "it's actually correct and the actual website to see if I deserve the discount". Rude asf he goes on his phone for another 5-8 minutes saying "gotta make sure bc they're strict" which is a load of bull bc again I went to the one in Brentwood ca and the man who helped at that location doing the price-check checked the website on my phone for less than 40 seconds checked the serial # and rung me up and I was on my merry way. The entire time Luis is straight up condescending and making little insulting comments. Smudging the glasses taking the protective layers off the glasses making snide remarks about getting a 50% off deal. The only ones who were extremely nice was Emmanuel and the lady that was there. Overall shitty experience bc of the shitty pretentious attitude from the manager Luis. Would never return here, I barely come out to sf anyways bc of school but still even when I am here at the campus will definitely walk past this store in the future. read more

Helpful, friendly place :) My Ray Bans lost a screw and their "temple". Even though I hadn't purchased the glasses from them, they found a screw that fit and fixed them for free. I believe SH has an agreement with Ray Ban to provide this service, but even so, I appreciated the friendly professionalism of the staff. Also, while I waited, I saw a diversity of customers being helped in a helpful but non-invasive way, and got a positive impression of the vibe of the place. Recommended! read more

This is definitely the most unfriendly, cold, and awkward employees that I have ever met at any Sunglass Hut location. I've purchased quite a few of my sunglasses (I unfortunately have a bad habit of losing them -_-) at various Sunglass Hut locations, and have always experienced very friendly, helpful, and courteous employees when I shop there. This experience however was definitely not replicated here. Initially walking in, the two employees in the store talking to one another immediately looked at me like I was a thief, there to steal something or pull something on them. In fact, I actually had to approach and greet them first as I needed to do an exchange. After the initial grilling and barrage of hostile questions, I spent the next 5 mins awkwardly trying to be friendly to two very unreciprocating individuals who rang up my transaction like I was trying to cheat them out of something and they were doing me a huge favor going through with the transaction. While this experience probably won't put me off from shopping Sunglass Hut in the future (when I inevitably lose ANOTHER pair of shades), it definitely put me off from shopping THIS location. read more

TERRIBLE customer service! This is the worst customer service experience of my life. My husband purchased a pricey pair of sunglasses as a gift for me. Unfortunately, they didn't fit my face shape. When we attempted to return the brand new sunglasses, two employees refused to process the return or even give us store credit because they claimed there was a scratch, implying I wore it . I honestly didn't see any scratch. However, I explained that my husband bought the floor model because it was the last one, so perhaps it was there before and we didn't notice it. (Even though I still didn't see any scratch! ) If there was a defect, that's THEIR responsibility for selling faulty merchandise! The employees were extremely RUDE, condescending, and lacked manners and customer service training. I am in shock that the employees are allowed to make false accusations against customers when the sunglasses were in fact brand new. We took our business to the Serramonte Sunglass Hut inside Macy's who gave us stellar service. They're patient in letting you try on multiple pairs and when they say that something is important (polarization), either explain clearly or show you a demo. This location is larger than most other ones and a little pricey, but there's always a sale section, so be sure to check it. read more

Walked in with my boyfriend and friends, was awkwardly greeted by an male employee. We knew we wanted to buy a specific pair of glasses but were looking around to see if anything caught our eye. The employees began hovering and constantly checking if the glasses were in their spot. I commented "I hope we didn't make a big mess" and they pretty much awkwardly responded with a "it's ok, we are just making sure everything is still here". They will not hide the fact that they think you're stealing, that's for sure. Any one who worked retail knows these tactics. I came to Sunglass Hut because my brother had a coupon that'd give me $40ish off my purchase. I thought it was about time I invest in some quality sunglasses instead of the cheap-o kohl's, target, forever 21 that keep breaking and hurting my ears. When i got there, the sales associate was very nice and didn't make me feel uncomfortable. I found a pair of sunglasses that I liked and when I purchased them, she told me about all these cool perks! I could get them adjusted anytime I wanted--free of charge!, if they break within one year I could come back and purchase them for half the price, and if they had a malfunction I could come back and get them replaced for free! After two days, I noticed that my sunglasses were sliding off my face so when i went back to get them readjusted they did it without any hesitation! So since I've been deprived of a prominent bridge on my nose and cursed with an abnormally small face, it's excruciatingly hard to find a pair of sunglasses that fit on my face and will stay there, let alone a pair that fill those requirements and are of exceptional quality. Enter Sunglass Hut/Sunglass Icon. They're like the Starbucks of sunglasses. Apparently, Sunglass Icon & Sunglass Hut are the same company - one is just a store and one is a kiosk. I'm writing about the one on the 2nd floor (next to Hot Topic) in Stonestown Mall. I visited both places as well as the Sunglass Hut located inside the Macy's on the ground floor in Stonestown Mall. Not only did all associates show perfect customer service, but their return policy is unheard of. 90 days to try out your new stunna shades to see if these babies work out for you and if you don't look as cool as you thought you did when your homies were pumpin' that ego in the store, your ghetto ass can take them back to any Sunglass Hut/Icon and take a second stab at lookin' good. Ended up buying a pair of Ray-Ban's which everyone raves about. I get headaches all the time, and figured I needed some quality sunglasses...came here, picked me up a pair and pretty juiced about them as I haven't had one headache since then. Do not shop here, unethical!! Bought my husband a pair of $200 sunglasses there after being told they were polarized by the sales person. He got home and after wearing them a few times he realized that they didn't cut the glare at all so in accordance with their 30 day return policy, he brought them back today. When he tried to return them the store manager said they were not polarized and then refused to take them back, he wouldn't even give him a store credit. Plus it's a very small store and they were letting customers take their masks off while we were in the store. I will never step back into a Sunglass Hut again. read more

This employee was the nicest he possibly could've been, even after I knocked a bunch of Ray Ban's to the floor. Out of the three Sunglass Hut's I had been to that day, he's the only one who actually gave me the SKU number and model number for the pair of glasses I was looking for. My visit to Sunglass Hut in Stonestown yesterday was a real mood crusher. I lost my favorite Vogue black cat-eye sunglasses that I had previously bought at the Corte Madera Sunglass Hut. (Which has great sales staff, btw). I bought a replacement pair there in a rush, not realizing that all the new Vogue glasses have their brand name etched in the top corner of the frames. I tried to exchange them at Stonestown and they didn't have them in-store, so I told the sales woman I saw them online and would just pick them up there. She said they would probably arrive scratched since it was the older model I was interested in or they would just send the ones with the Vogue logo on them. I was floored. Is this really the quality that Sunglass Hut offers? This sales person needs more training or another job. After she did the return, she told me it would take 3-10 (TEN) business days to credit the money back to my account. I have never encountered such a terrible return policy and her attitude made it all worse. I would have bought a different pair of glasses had I known, but Sunglass Hut lost a sale and a customer. read more

Came to return or exchange a pair of sunglasses on Saturday at 5 pm. There was a sign that said "be back in 20 minutes." I waited 30. This was at 5 pm on a Saturday!! About 20 people tried to get in the store but couldn't. Kind of bad for sales and really bad for customer service. The manager should know that people are taking long breaks. Also maybe the staffing should be better so the store doesn't have to close at peak hours. read more

this review is for the sgh that`s on the ground floor of stonestown. came in here one day to find myself the perfect pair of sunglasses! the lady was very helpful, and so accommodating! i must`ve made her open the cases about a million times to try on all the sunglasses, and not once did she look pissed or annoyed, like employees from other establishments that i probably shouldn`t name LoLx in the end, i picked out a G0RGE0US pair of Chanel sunglasses! i also picked up a few pairs for my friends as well. my brother works for lenscrafter, so he helped me buy them with his associate discount :D but alas, the sale his coworker told him that was going on wasn`t happening for another week! the lady was nice enough to put our sunglasses on hold til sunday [it was tuesday], which they will only do if you work for them [sgh] or a sister company [like my brother does], otherwise they only hold sunglasses til the end of the day. i ended up dropping by on saturday to make sure they were still holding my sunglasses, which they were, and asked them if they could hold them til monday instead. initially, the lady [different one from the first time] was a bit hesitant about it, but i managed to convince her :D monday rolls around and i am finally able to picked up my AWES0MEE new Chanel sunglasses! the 5 stars are for the women who work at the ground floor sgh store, because their customer service goes above and beyond the call of duty! ladies, give yourselves a gold star and a pat on the back! ;D read more

Awesome service! Bought my glasses here a few months back, and I broke it. I brought in my broken Ray Bans to see if they can fix it. The side screw fell out and the whole right lens popped out of the frame. The guys here were super helpful and friendly. It was a difficult fix, but they managed it after half an hour or so. They even asked that I go do some shopping then come back for it. So I did my shopping, came back to pick up my cleaned and fixed sunglasses! Turns out that you can't send sunglasses back to Ray Ban for repairs, so I'm glad these guys at Sunglass Hut are so helpful! read more

The selection here is good and they carry a good selection for Chanel. However, I'm basing my review off of my experience in doing a return. The lady working there acted standoffish as soon as I told her I was doing a return. She interrogated me for a few minutes before she would even take a look at my receipt or what I was returning. She wanted to know where I lived and why I was returning here instead of where I originally bought the sunglasses. Does it really matter as long as I'm within the return period, have proof of purchase, and the item in perfect unused condition and suitable for resale? Keep in mind that I had just bought the sunglasses 4 days ago at the Sunglass Hut at Serramonte in Daly City. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the sunglasses. They just weren't right for me. I hadn't even worn them out anywhere and they weren't used in any way. The condition was exactly as it was when I bought it. When she saw my receipt, she proceeded to complain about the Daly City store and how this location got so many returns from customers who had purchased sunglasses from there. That's really not my problem and it was unprofessional of her to make me feel bad about returning. Especially since one thing that Sunglass Hut brags about is their generous 90 day return policy. Also, it's a chain for god's sake! Sunglass Huts are everywhere. It's like the Starbucks of designer sunglasses. So it should be expected that all the returns aren't always going to be from your store. That's one big reason why I chose to purchase from there instead of a lesser known boutique: ease in returns in case I change my mind. Unfortunately, someone shoplifted a pair of sunglasses while she was showing me some other options. So while she was processing my return, she was bitching about what happened and making me feel bad for taking up her time. I've worked retail before so I can sympathize with how shitty the job can be, especially when you don't have a lot of help. But it's extremely unprofessional to whine about it to a customer. Keep that kind of chatter for talk around the water cooler with your coworkers. What I like: Decent selection of designers What I do not like: Unpleasant customer service I'd still shop at Sunglass Hut but I'd rather avoid this one in the future. Even better, I recommend Ilori in downtown San Francisco near Powell. Their selection of much better. They carry major designers like Chanel, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, etc. But they also carry some lesser known designers, some handmade, from lines like Kata. The whole experience there also feels more like luxury shopping and they offer you water and chocolate while you shop. read more

I just grabbed my boyfriend and told him not to buy anything inside that store. We drove all the way to downtown SF to the Oakley branch and they were more courteous and friendly. So My Xo wanted to purchase some "stunnas" since he lost the previous ones in Vegas. After going to a couple of Sunglass Huts, we decided to go to Stonestown Galleria. It was a tough decision selecting the brand & the style to fit his features. The salesperson was very helpful. She checked up on us every now & then giving us time to decided. We were there for atleast half an hour & I had to choose which really fits him. I recommended the Ray Bans since it compliments his bald head & full lips. The tint of the lenses were perfect for his skin color. The salesperson offered to clean the lenses & adjust how the fitting of the arms were. Now that is great customer service. read more

Felix is the most amazing employee on the planet! He fixed the cracked lenses of may Ray Ban sunglasses and cleaned them for free. I was having a terrible day. Not only did I have a bad cold, but I had a killer anatomy test. During the test, we put our backpacks in a pile on the floor, and it appears that someone probably stepped on my backpack - where I foolishly left my sunglasses without a case. I can't really justify spending this much money on sunglasses now that I have a two year old and am temporarily staying home to care for her. So I was extremely happy to have them repaired for free!
