Do yourself a favor and never go to the Hilltop Verizon. Come visit Roman at 1090 Cypress, next to LabCorp in the Safeway Shopping Center. He's an excellent young man with massive experience, and what others tell you will take five to seven days to accomplish, he'll say, "Hold my beer," and have it done in 20 minutes. I can't speak highly enough about Roman--he's wonderful. His co-worker was great as well; I heard him assisting people and he was very helpful. This is a bootleg fake Verizon store. Their whole existence is to upsell you and make commissions, they are not Verizon, they are a private retailer selling products. Don't go there if you need help with anything because they will not help. They just want to sell you things you don't need. I sat in there for an hour waiting for help and heard how they operate. It is disgusting used car salesman pitches especially to the elderly. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Go to an authentic Verizon store. I was helped at the hilltop store in 5 minutes. This cypress "store" took an hour and still could not fix the issue. They tried to sell me things I didn't need. In a nutshell, A REAL Verizon Corporate Store is your best option if you want to speak with knowledgeable Verizon employees or try out products in person go to Hilltop by Best Buy. TERRIBLE customer service. I visited the store today hoping to buy an iPhone 11 Pro. When I arrived, I was made to wait in line while the rep talked about personal business with another associate. When he finally got around to me, he refused to tell me whether or not they had a green Iphone in stock despite giving him all of the information he said he "required." I will take my new iPhone purchases and all of my phone business elsewhere. I find it very suspicious that they REFUSE to tell you what they have in stock without probing you for personal information. STAY AWAY! read more

After a terrible experience with the location on Hilltop working with Billy at this location was refreshing. The other location sent my father home with a new phone, case, and screen protector and offered no other service other than the sale of the items. He received zero assistance with activation and switching over the information from his previous phone. The directions given to him on a sheet of paper were difficult to follow for an older member of our community with little smartphone experience. Brandon, who helped my father at the other location, didn't even put on the screen protector he purchased in the store. Billy righted all the wrongs we experienced at the other location. He was patient, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Most of all, despite my dad not knowing much about his new phone, he treated him with great care with respect. I stopped in to pick up a new store order I had paid for with Verizon. The guy helping me, Robert, was new and tried helping best he could. He said he'd need help from his boss, Todd, but Todd has zero interest in helping his assistant. The purpose of being a leader and a manager is to teach others your job, so when/if you promote, they are able to operate effectively. Todd blew off Robert and didn't bother to assist. It was a bit frustrating in that I was told to come in and pick up my new device. Todd not providing any help created a long delay. And Todd went on to help two other customers, without attempting to provide his staff any support. Poor management leads to poor business operations/performance. read more

I am totally impressed with this store. It's located next to Lowes. I have visited other stores for cell phone needs and this store out shines all of them. The employees were all great and so helpful. They pay special attention to seniors who might not be up to speed with learning the operation of the IPhone. They make you feel that no question is not worth answering. These people are gracious and understanding. They are quick to address you and get to your problem as soon as possible. It is the store I will visit in the future for all things related to my IPhone. read more

Buyer beware!! The buy one get one phone is not free. They word it nice but on your bill you are paying for both phones not just the service. 24 months worth. Verizon....taken care of. I will revisit this in a year when I don't feel so burned. What would be helpful to costumers is if all your employees had the same answers to questions. I must have been told 5 different answers to the same question. One more thing when a costumer asks to speak with a supervisor make sure they can talk to one. The worst, most unprofessional store I've ever had the displeasure of shopping. I brought my daughter in to upgrade her phone and the sales lady immediately tried to upsell us into a package with a phone we never asked for. We observed them pulling the same routine with other customers. When my daughter (22) went to pick up her phone, she had a 10am appointment but no one would wait on her for 45 minutes because the other sales people were not getting a commission on the phone, so they sat around doing nothing but ignoring her. They then lied to the sales lady, telling her my daughter had no appointment. They completely botched the data transfer, risking a ton of person and professional data. They were rude and incompetent. We thought we'd save some time, instead of going to the Verizon store. What a mistake. Don't buy a used car or anything else from these thieves. read more

She pointed out to me that my account had a special promotion in which I received a new iPad 6 for free with LTe coverage. She was extremely thorough and explained all of my account to me. DO NOT USE VERIZON!!!!! They get paid by commission and will sell you anything!!!!! My wife went in this store to buy something that will help us with WiFi as we travel across the US. Billy sold us a tablet and said to buy a cord for it, plug it in and you can watch tv or whatever you like. Just change your plan for "unlimited data" and it will work forever. What a lie!!!! Never worked!!! Went to another Verizon store out of state and they said they should never of sold you this. This was totally wrong. But now I can't help you because you have a different plan. He said he could sell me something else for more money on my plan. (Hell no I didn't buy it). I looked into how sales reps get paid......IT'S COMMISSION!!!!! The worst.... I have nothing good to say about Victra on Cypress or in Anderson I'm done with these company, I made the mistake of switching from T-Mobile to Verizon hoping to get better coverage while my husband and I are traveling. So far I have not noticed a change in coverage as far as it being any better than Tmobile but I have noticed a huge change in customer service. I purchased two phones and now I am locked in with this company until I get them paid off and it cost a lot to switch to Verizon. I don't know how they pay their employees my guess is part of their pay is commission. The salesmen lie to you, neglect to give information and don't expect help after the sale. ***CAUTION - This store runs scams!!*** I wish I could give them 0 stars.... My dad went to this store to switch from AT&T to Verizon because he and my step mom had just moved to the area from Central CA and were told Verizon has better service in the area. He was scammed into adding WAY more devices to his account and it has been a nightmare to fix! Now, my dad is a very "youthful" 80 year old, knows how to use an iPhone and can text, take and send pics, etc., but what they talked him into adding to his plan was beyond RIDICULOUS!!! He walked out of that store with not just new service with Verizon, but they sold him a brand new 256gb iPhone for himself AND my step mom (who, mind you, only wanted a cheap flip phone), as well two HUM devices and a Jetpack!!!! Why would the salesperson ever think that an older, retired couple would ever need those devices?!?! So, if that wasn't enough....he gets talked into adding a Verizon "home phone" (satellite) to his account. Mind you, his new house is at 3,000 ft elevation. Remember that, I'll explain a little more in a moment. So, my sister and I catch wind of alllll the extra crap he was talked into and we start to do damage control. My sister lives in the area, I'm 3 hours away. So, she spends time analyzing their $400 bill and talking to reps at the store to try and figure out WTF is going on. The following weekend (3 days after purchase) I come to town and the three of us go into this Victra store to straighten things out and return the extra items. We were told that, he was sold the best value package and he should keep everything....my sister finally had to about lose her shit for them to realize NO meant NO. Well, we were turned away because they said that only a manager could accept returns and to come back the next day. Mind you, we are on day 6 or 7 of their 14 day return policy at this point. The next day (Monday) my sister takes time off of work to meet my dad at the store to get things taken care of with a manager, who they assured us would be there. Manager wasn't there. This went on a few more times....the 14 day return policy deadline comes and goes. So, I called Verizon Corp and filed a complaint against this 3rd party store. This elder abuse. Plain and simple. The rep I got agreed to let us return the HUM devices and Jetpack, plus credited my dad all of the fees associated with each. The iPhone, however, could not be returned since it was past the return deadline, even though we TRIED to return it before then. I also mention to him that this satellite phone that he was also talked into wasn't working so he advised that we call the support line and have a tech trouble shoot. The next weekend I travel to my dads and get a Verizon support tech on the phone. So, we start to get to the trouble shooting of the home phone....first thing she does is pull up a map of the area where my dad lives and exclaims "Wait!! Who sold you this home phone service?!" I told her, Victra in Redding and she responds "They should have NEVER sold you this service! There are no cell tower where he lives!" She was mortified when I explained what had been going. She apologized up and down and took the time to take notes while I told her everything. She even went so far as to talk to her supervisor about the 264gb iPhone they sold him and was able to credit my dad $164 for the difference! We were elated!! So, I know this is long winded, and honestly it's the only Yelp review that I've ever left for any establishment, good or bad. But I felt it needed to be done. Shame on all of the reps at this store who were involved in taking advantage of my father! I think you all need to brush up on your training as it relates to elder abuse! For anyone thinking about shopping at this store, don't! They are not looking out for the customer's best interest at all! Take the time to find thee nearest official Verizon store....or call Verizon directly. Heck, go online and complete your Verizon purchases. You sometimes will get a better deal online. read more

Do not go here. Go to the official Verizon store at Hilltop. We have now spent over 5 hours trying to activate 3 upgrades (2 iPhones, 1 S9) and they cannot for life of them get it to work. They said they would transfer content and nothing transferred over and they already wiped our old phone. Our entire day has been sucked away by this establishment. Plus, the staff is entirely unprofessional, interrupting our rep to laugh at social media memes, lazing about in the back while a lobby full of customers wait to be serviced. Now we're at home continuing to try and get active service via support on the phone. I want my day back. read more

I bought a new Samsung Galaxy S5 and I couldn't get my mailbox to work. I went in to the Verizon store on Cypress and spoke to Jesse about the problem. He figured out that an app I had previously installed was hijacking my mailbox, preventing it from working. I had uninstalled the app but I hadn't deleted my account. It was a complicated fix but Jesse kept at it until it was fixed. Whew! read more

Also, I had a question about my iPad, so she walked with me to a store with WI-FI so she could walk me through the connection question. Worst experience I have ever had! They are running a scam at this store! I went in on January 20th to buy a Samsung note 8 and was told a tablet comes with the phone for 5 more dollars a month for two years! At which time I said no Thank You! Well after three hours of getting my phone set up I had to leave the phone at the store so they could transfer my photo's and contact info. as I had to go shopping with my wife I told the clerk I would be back before closing at which time he said no problem! Long story short came back picked up the phone he handed me two pieces of paper to sign never went over the bill with me! Got home and the tablet was in my bag and $114.00 worth of charges that I never new I was being charged were on my receipt!! $50.00 for the tablet, two charges of $19.99 for set up fees, $29.99 under water insurance I was never told about nor was it explained to me! I told the clerk I didn't want the tablet! I called the real Verizon help center and they told me I shouldn't have been charged any of this and to take back the tablet the next day! At which time I did and that's when the real fun started! I was told they couldn't return it with out them charging me a restocking fee of 70 dollars and they all said that I came in the store looking for a phone and tablet! Which was a lie! I told them to play their servilance video and if I'm on there saying that I also wanted a tablet then they can keep all the charges and I will tell them sorry and leave! Nope they said it would take a week or more to get the video! They did take off the underwater insurance charge but had no explanation on why I was charged for that!! Josh the manager he runs this whole scam! So they took back the tablet after I had to pay a $70.00 restocking fee, & $21.00 on taxes for a tablet I never asked for & also two $19.99 charges for set up fees which the real Verizon said they don't charge for! If I knew this wasn't a real Verizon store I wouldn't have went there! I was on the phone with the Real Verizon the whole time this was happening! This is why I have been a customer of the Real Verizon for 28 years as they credited my account everything that Josh and his crew fraudulently charged me! Buyer be very aware and stay clear of this store as they will charge you for things you never asked for! I told Corporate Verizon they really need to look into taking away their right to be a Verizon dealer as many people as myself would NOT know this is not a true Verizon store but a franchise w/ their name on it & it is being used in a very bad way! My iPhone was having issues and I bought a refurbished iPhone on Amazon. First off, when the man (I think his name was Robbie) went to look at my account, he told me I was due for a free upgrade. I told him I wasn't interested and just wanted to transfer to the "new" iPhone. He then proceeded to fire up the "new" phone but he said there was something wrong with it. He even brought the manager over to confirm that the "new" phone was faulty. He then proceeded to try to get me to upgrade to a new iPhone. I told him I would go home and think about it. He wanted to make an appointment with me so I could upgrade and repeatedly told me his name so I would come back on the days he was working. I took the phone to a guy I trust in Yreka at Mobile Madness and he told me the phone was perfectly fine and I have now been using it for two weeks. I am very disappointed that not one, but two employees at this store were in on the scheme to claim the phone was faulty just to get me to upgrade. read more

Everything seemed promising when switching from AT&T but that was all it was, an empty promise. The Verizon company itself has vague, unclear instructions when switching with promotions and the staff at this store, while sympathetic, were unhelpful. You cannot make a formal complaint easily, either. The Verizon company is crooked and although AT&T was slightly more expensive, they had WAY better customer service, in store and by phone. If you want to avoid losing money (upwards of $650 for us) when switching companies, I would suggest going elsewhere or making the store personnel do it with you, in store, CORRECTLY. If they refuse, again, go elsewhere. read more

My husband & I went to Verizon to get him a new phone. Every clerk was busy & there were 2 people in line in front of us. I told my husband get ready for a long wait. I could not believe how quick someone came to help us. Stefan helped my husband find the right phone for himself, showed me how I could get a new phone (my new phone date wasn't until April), plus how we could lower our bill. In the process we got a free tablet. They have a great system there. During our time there we had 3 different employees help us. That way we got an employee who could help us the best & a customer who just came in was helped. That meant everything went smoothly. It really worked great. Plus we actually enjoy the time there. I bought two Samsung j7s with a promotion that came with a tablet. Mandy did a great job at everything she had to do, but the people that she called to help her ith some issued were not so helpful. Mandy not only handled the unhelpful coworkers on the phone with grace, she also was incredibly pleasant and personable (just straight up cool) in general. All of the ladies in this store were helping Mandy and I with our three and a half hour process, all with smiles and patience. In the end, thanks to the one helpful person Mandy talked to (and Mandy of course), we finally got our phones and everything's working great. The problem resided in a branch that Mandy called with a gentleman that didn't give a crap about Mandy's situation and was careless to not send Sim numbers, but Mandy was patient, pleasant, and determined to get us what we wanted for the best deal possible. I recommend this place if you want to deal with real people, not just some employees that only care about when they get off of work or don't really give a crap about you as a person. OK, so I got this new phone and because Verizon is my carrier, I went into this location and waited, and waited and the guy ahead of me was taking his time with questions that were not really important or intelligent and the "tech" knew I was standing there, yet did not acknowledge me. I ended up leaving without being helped. Yes there was another person working there, but she was busy getting new phones for a couple. Then today, I go in and both workers have a couple, and you can tell the woman, is very new, as she has to have the other guy (same guy as the first time) come and help her many times, leaving the customers he was with. I stood there waiting for 20 minutes, only to have the same buy help the guy behind me while the couple he was with were picking out cases for their new phones! I could NOT believe it!!! I will never go there again and suggest you don't either! read more

Store employees are not helpful. I decided to wait for the tidal wave of purchasers before placing my order for an iphone5. I had the experience of dealing with the manager who confided that he didn't know how to take the order and had to call three other stores to get directions as he looked at his computer screen. Other customers came in waited and finally left. Really painful, but not as painful as when we picked up the phone. We asked the guy to transfer the phone number to the new phone and to transfer the contact book. After about an hour of effort he discovered that he was using the wrong cable. His colleague, a woman, wouldn't acknowledge his questions for help. She had a question from another customer who was waiting and basically brushed her off. We left the store, phone in hand and with the knowledge that the employees at this store are just serving time. This is not a store you would want to go to for support. Best to do your business over the phone, have it delivered, and follow the online instructions for setting it up, or find another store with which to do business. read more
