I just wish there was a Spectrum service center closer to me in Red Bluff. But since I drive up here to Redding so often, I guess it's no biggie. As for the service and internet connection, I couldn't be happier. Heck in the last 2 years, my internet speed has gone up from uploads at 375 Mbps to almost 500 Mbps! I didn't have to do a thing, they just raised the speed for the same price! The upload speed went up super fast too, form just 12 Mbps to a whopping 420 Mbps, almost the same speed as downloading. This is important to me, cause I upload a lot of work vids and pics back to the main office, so they upload super quick. One thing I don't like is the price over the years seems to keep going up, but I'm lucky work pays for my connection, but still. I tried to go into the store and see if I could get one of those deals where it's like half the cost, but they said it's just for new customers only, so there's that! The connection is pretty reliable most the time, sure on occasion it might go out, but that's cause the electricity went out on the area for whatever reason. I'm happy with Spectrum. I just do the internet and have a home phone connection, but no TV service, there's plenty to watch on Prime over the internet! read more

Be sure to tell people who have ordered and paid for their equipment with a live agent in the phone - who only want to pick up their equipment- to be sure to make an appointment!! I'm moving here to Redding, but I'm not officially moving here for another week- I just drove up here (an hour trip) to pick it up. Total garbage as far as the TV cable goes. They keep raising the rates and the service keeps declining. Now we're not even getting all the channels we're supposed to. Everything about this company enrages me. They are not inexpensive but they act like they are. They provide the worst customer care experience ever. I have been having issues with them since I first signed up and my recent phone theft has literally been a nightmare because of their incompetence and lack of customer support.? We bought a new phone yesterday and Tyler Wolff was the one who helped us with the whole process of switching it out with our old one. Not only that, he did all the data transferring and told us of all the great discounts and deals we could get. He was patient, polite and answered all of our questions. Next time I go to my Spectrum store for anything I'm going to make sure that I look for Tyler to help us out. One thing I may add is that when we walked in there were about 14 people waiting and he was the only person working. He was so calm and did an awesome job. Spectrum needs more people to work at one time so the workers don't get so overwhelmed. That's one thing Tyler was not. He did great! read more

Customer for internet, landline and mobile for about 10 years. Called number here for appointment to avoid horrible wait times and lines. Somehow got routed to techie in Ohio. Mobile phone had stopped playing stereo in car via Bluetooth. Explained to tech I was trying to get to appointment. He asked problem. Explained. Turned on phone, went to page I hadn't known. Button in phone showed on right of three options. Obviously it needed to be in center as right side was only audible. Changed to center, thanked the techie, went to car and tried. Voila!! I witnessed an employee call their own customer service in front of customers and put leadership on the line and honestly they didn't even know what steps to take..They might need to go thru additional trainings here cause how does the manager not know how to resolve customer issues? They had people coming to our door every week trying to get us to sign up, this went on for a couple years. We resisted for a long time, but were not happy with out AT & T service any more, so we figured let's give Spectrum a try All started out fine. Of course, they sell you with this low price, but within a few months, all your promotions go away, then the government stops funding the low income credit, and before you know it you $130 monthly bill is now $200.85 Spectrum offers nothing for existing customers, none of them do. They only like you when you are a new customer, once you've been with them you are chopped liver, just like every business these days I got on chat and asked them if there was any way to lower my bill, they didn't care. Iam so angry with Spectrum here in Redding. I have a handicapped sister who I have power of attorney over. She has developmental disabilities. She lives alone, has satellite tv on my Dish account. Spectrum solicits door to door targeting seniors with free offers that turn out to be not so free. I have done everything possible to keep them from calling her, sending her contracts and showing up at her door. She is a very easy target because she doesn't understand. They won't stop!! Honestly, I was hesitant about going back after having a negative experience back in December. I had made my mind up, if it started to go south again I was just going to leave and go back to Verizon. I had made an appointment just like last time. I understand how busy they get and I want to be respectful of people's time, since they always seem to be shorthanded at this store. Last time I was there I spent 4 hours, I know you are thinking why didn't I leave? I was is pretty much at the mercy of their internet (which was experiencing an issue at the time), my half transferred phone and the confused lost associate who was helping me, I will spare you all that. Anyway this time I must say I was very happy! I was in and out in probably 30 minutes. This is included trading in my old phone, purchasing a new one, asking multiple questions and transferring my stuff. This time I completely understood everything, it was explained to me and even a few notes written on my receipt. Austin was amazing, not only did he quickly take care of me he was also interrupted several times to help other associates. He didn't get irritated by them or my questions (and I had a few). In December when I attempted to return their router, they made me stand outside until the rain until they could get to me. I couldn't even drop it off as they wouldn't take it. They made me wait outside in the cold. I was angry, but kept my internet service (though did not buy the two phones I had intended to purchase there that day). Come March, we decided to try them again chalking it up to poor service of the staff that day. My two sons and I went down to purchase 3 new phones and add phone lines to my existing internet account. This time, we were told they could not help us because we have medical exemptions. My HOH son reads lips. They told us that they could let him in and talk to him (though it is MY account - I am the account holder and the only one who can add services), but they could not let us all in. They did not offer to help us outside, they just told us plain and simple that they could not help us. Period. I have decided to leave Spectrum after over 13 years of service. I've had internet only for YEARS $70 monthly, NOT cheap for fixed low income. I've complained about service dropping frequently, having techs come out to only fix it for a short period b4 it starts up again, last time, told it was router. Nope, it's their modem & cables I asked to have replaced last time. It's taken 4 days (& NUMEROUS CALLS) to get an appt for repairs BECAUSE their system still has OLD CUST.# and is contacting THEM, NOT ME to confirm appt! FINALLY someone called me last night & SAID he'd set an appt for today, no confirm text, so I call only to find out it's for TOMORROW! I call Friday, again Saturday, again Sunday to find out the order had been canceled, EVERYTIME! Come to find out because of old#, old customer was canceling appts knowing he hadn't made them! What's WORSE is old customer & myself have contacted them 5-6 times to GET HIS # OFF MY ACCT. INCOMPETENT comes to mind. I went into the store to activate my new 5G phone. I thought putting a Sim card into the phone and activating would be very simple but it ended up taking 45 minutes or so. Throughout this time I groom patient in short. Daniel was doing the best he could possibly do and after seeing him work very hard I felt bad for being impatient. He ultimately helped out, and some of the issue was misinformation from corporate. 5G is brand new so this is to be expected. I included my own blunder because sometimes we need to be cognizant of our own expectations and reality. The WiFi worked great, from the first day I moved to the new location, but the landline phone only worked on the first day, but stopped working thereafter. Following Spectrum's advice, I reset the modem, but that didn't solve the problem. So I went back to the store and was given a new modem, but still no results. I don't understand why there always has to be issues with this company. Too many outages at my other location. If it's not one thing, it's another. I am in a Court proven Domestic Violence situation and had to do a lot of things to ensure my phone number would not be canceled randomly by my ex. Since I was an unauthorized user on his plan. I did everything to get my number and wifi in my name and was assured it wouldn't be canceled. Well when my ex canceled his plan, even with my number put in my name. Spectrum still canceled my number when my ex canceled his plan. Exactly what I was trying to avoid happening, spectrum still let it happen to me. Left me without service for 2 days which in my situation is very scary. I am dealing with a lot in this situation and this just made it worse and harder. I don't know if I'm going to be able to get my number back. Or if I am going to have to add to my already long list of difficult things I am having to deal with, to change my phone number on everything. This made me extremely distraught and upset. read more

It's not necessarily this particular store, but their complete mobile service. We signed with Spectrum because they were offering free phones with trading in our old phones. We received the new phones but they did not send any way or directions for us to send in our old phones (iPhone 12 Max). When I called for direction I was told they were sorry they didn't send us anything but it's too late, that small window of opportunity had passed. They charged us $2400 for two phones that we didn't even need, just wanted to update. That's not the worst part! I use my phone for business and didn't realize I was not receiving all my voicemails until my clients started firing me for not responding to them. I went into this store for help. Although nice, they attempted to reboot the phone, thinking it would work, but it did not. After 3 visits to this store I started contacting their virtual technical support. They were absolutely useless, rude and condescending. I told them I've jumped through every hoop for months and lost business and just need a new phone. They laughed at me and said there is no way I'm getting a new phone. They told me to go to the Apple Store since the problem must be with the phone since it was not on Spectrums end. I went to the Apple tech who spent 1 1/2 hours doing diagnostic testing. The qualified Apple tech determined the phone was fine with no problems and it must be with Spectrum. Now I'm stuck paying for a phone that should have been free, and that I cannot use. HORRIBLE!! read more
