B&T was the best customer service in Redding i have received in the past 10 years. I would give them the highest recommendation without hesitation. My prior experience with Dish from the 800 number was so bad 10 years ago that i promised never to use Dish so i switched to Direct TV for the last 8 years. I just recently moved into a custom home and my direct TV was not able to transfer without drilling holes in the wall and roof of my new house (per direct TV). the tech who came was not even interested in looking for possible alternative routes but was only looking for the easiest job for him regardless of the possible damage to my house. i then decided to try charter, and they even promised me Pac 12 network, but after installation they told me that it was not available in Redding! My friend told me to call B&T local dish since they provide great service and also had the Pac 12 network for sure. Doug, the owner and his staff came out 3 times to the house to figure out the best place to place the Satellite without any major work done to the house. they spent many hours here researching and brainstorming eventually found outside wires which they could piggy back into the house from the roof. they were professional, timely and most of all took their time figuring out the best way to do things. doug even accidentally stained my carpet while removing old stereo equipment. Doug, had the carpet cleaning company come out and took care of the stains and the cost. No better service than B&T. Call them and it will be the best decision ever! Thanks you Doug read more

We initially contacedt B & T to get set up with Dish Network. We were in the process of disconnecting with Directv due to equipment problems. When Doug checked with Dish, they told him that some other person had used my social security number to set up a phony account and that it had a big balance. This was news to me and the fraud had occurred over 5 years ago. Dish would not open a new account for me even though I had been their customer in the past for over 15 years. We decided to cut the cord and Doug said that he could provide the equipment and service. We were happy for him to do it since we live in a fringe area and I would not know which antenna to get our how to get it setup. Doug got the job done and we have great reception for over 20 channels including the major networks. We bought a dvr and Doug returned to make sure that I had set it up correctly and the channel reception was okay. He made some additional small antenna adjustments and did not charge us for the 2nd visit. I'm really glad that Doug is providing services here knowing that it's not always easy to find someone competent, reliable, and honest. I am all about using the local guy for anything whether it's eating at a restaurant or looking for a new service. B& T was no exception, I ran across Doug's store when I was driving down Rhyolitte Drive and saw a huge kangaroo painting right across the front of his store (very hard to miss). Once I walked in I was greeted very courteously by Doug (owner). We cracked a few jokes here and there and soon enough we started chatting about what channels I enjoy to watch and if I was a sports enthusiast. Right away, Doug tried to get me the best deal possible and he even set me up with a Nice Pathway 2 (Portable Satellite) which I enjoy using when I go tailgating. I could tell he was all about customer service from the gecko, he was even able to install my service the next day which was a bonus since that was the only day of the week I was going to be home. Once at my home, Doug was very cautious as to where the Dish would sit, which I felt was very courteous considering I'm renting and I don't want any major holes drilled on the roof. If I could give 10 stars I certainly wouldn't hesitate to do so. Being new to the area I researched Dish vs cable before we moved. Unfortunately, I chose cable both because it was easy and because It was with the same company as the internet supplier. The HD quality was very poor and the channel selection was very difficult to deal with (5 identical listings of duplicate channels). Not to mention the DVR controls are very clunky. I stopped in to talk with Doug today to inquire about Dish and to express that my main concern about satellite TV is a clean installation. Doug assured me that I would be impressed and put my concerns to rest. I signed up for a package at noon and I was enjoying Dish TV by 3PM the very same day. The installer was very courteous and very thorough. The install was great...far beyond what I had imagined. He was sure that I knew how to work both units and if I had any questions before he left. If you are looking for a new TV supplier I recommend that you give Doug and B&T a try. You won't be disappointed. read more

After deciding upon DISH, we called B&T Satellite, and could not be happier with their care, knowledge, concerns for our experience to be satisfactory. It was above and beyond what we could expect. Being seniors is always a challenge to businesses and to have the owner take the time to help us after the installation, was very much appreciated! What can I say, Doug is so knowledgeable and very kind. Last year my husband, Bud and I bought our first travel trailer. We wanted to be able to watch TV and Winegard was what Doug suggested. He also, spent several hours with us teaching Bud how to operate it and we love it. This year we traded in our travel trailer for a larger one and wanted the trailer set-up so we could use our satellite. After we pickup our new travel trailer and got it home we could not use the satellite. Try as we might it never worked. We called B&T Satellite and "DOUG TO THE RESCUE" - What a great guy. To commend B&T and Mr Doug Tooley specifically, Doug to the rescue as we (well one of us anyway) wanted to swap out a plain ol old fashion HD flat screen with the new/improved 'smart TV' who knew there was such a thing! I was soon to learn, i aint smart enuf to operate a smart tv. so there, i said it. This exercise was met with expertise regarding equip & associated stuff. Doug proved to be the consumate professional I know him to be. Polite & courteous even as he sat on the floor sorting out the wires. We had this tv wall mounted and he even drilled a small hole in the wall to drop all the wires so there are no wires visible...most excellent. There's a HUGE difference when dealing with a local company like these guys. Real, local humans answer the phone when you call and take care of you all the way through, in contrast with calling the nationwide Dish number that puts you into some stupid automated thing just to decide what line to put your call into. Plus, I've found that I could actually have a chance at getting a better deal with B&T, plus they could schedule the install much sooner than the far away guys. This one is a no brainer. I work at a hotel that was having problems with some of the rooms tv signal, I called everyone and no one seemed to know how to fix it or what was even wrong, multiple people looked at it and would end up ghosting me. Hopper Hopper I finally decided to make the switch to DISH and was fortunate to find a local provider that cares about their customers. Their staff is great and they really helped me find the right programming and equipment based on how I watch TV. The Hopper is amazing. I really enjoy the recording capacity and it eliminated our conflicts in programming so everyone gets to see their favorite shows. The installation was done very fast and our technician was friendly and very helpful in explaining how our new system worked. I made a very good decision not calling the 800 number for my internet. Calling these guys was the best! Their installation service and customer service is top notch and I would not recommend anyone else. And recently I was having some difficulty with my tv signal and they were here asap and had it fixed in no time. These folks are the best. I can't say enough good. He didn't leave any mess, explained how to use my new equipment and made sure I had the number to call if any future problems came up.
