He kindly fit me in to get the job done before last week's rain hit--and not only did he do it in record time, he did a fantastic job, leveling the hard ground perfectly and fitting the uneven bricks together in a beautiful vintage look, creating a very nice pathway that is even, solid and secure underfoot. He went above and beyond, too: Even though I didn't think to ask, John added two very useful details (at no extra charge) that showed his extreme attention to detail and professionalism: He lined the sides of the pathway with small rocks to improve drainage (which worked like a charm in last week's rainstorm), and he curved the pathway to prevent me from conking my head on the protruding swamp cooler (which I've done too often--no more now!). And to top things off, because he got the job done so quickly, he charged me 30% less than his original (very reasonable) estimate!
