I have had AAA insurance for ten years. I need an SR22 and all of a sudden my insurance is canceled.. unreal. DO NOT PAY THEIR EXTORTION FEES. Twice I called for a tow, my husband and I both have towing and paid extra for it... and they refused to tow our car... I DO NOT recommend their insurance AT ALL. Make no mistake, they are a conglomerate company making money off the little guy. Avoid this company at ALL COST. read more

This is my nearest AAA office since we don't have one in Red Bluff. I'm up here in Reddng often enough it's more or less convenient. I don't have their insurance, but I do like that they have DMV services here and it sure beats waiting in line at the DMV for sure. I am a member with the AAA road service as I'm on the road a lot and it's good to have them to change a flat or something. Not had to use in years but it's good to have. read more

They did not disclose when I bought home insurance that they hire a private individual to go around and decide who can keep their insurance or not without notice by seeing if the neighbors have weeds to tall or not. So they sign a million people up and take their money and then cancel them. read more

Called to get my enclosed mobility scooter towed after some guy T-boned me this morning. First female that answered got upset with me because they don't cover my enclosed mobility scooter and her husband had a gio one and they wouldn't towed it. I said the only reason I have triple A is because the guy who sold me the membership said they would towed it. She transferred me to the girl next to her, and she immediately got nasty, tone, interrupting me every time asked something or said something, kept repeating I'm not covered and I'm just a member and they can send me back my money. Then asked me who i was and membership number. I said you spent all this time saying I'm not covered, I'm just a member and you don't even know who you're talking to or what my membership number is? I even told her I didn't appreciate them being mean and rude. She said the conversation is being recorded and she wasn't being mean, and laughed. I hung up. Don't trust anyone who will sell you, reassure you you're covered and then laugh at you and say you're not covered and "just" a member. Shame on these people doing that to disabled, older people, in winter no less! read more

I heard that they made registering your car easier. So true, within 20 minutes I had my newly purchased car registered and had signed up for the $99 a yr AAA service. Juan Carlos Cisneros is a terrific insurance agent. My husband and I moved to Red Bluff in November and we were staying with family. So I had canceled our renter's insurance from our previous home in the Bay Area. I called one day to add the renter's insurance and thank goodness I did, two weeks later our car was vandalized. So, it was covered. Then in January 2020 we bought a home and Juan was wonderful to give us a terrific quote and help us to get it all bundled. Juan is friendly and efficient. I called and made a service call to get my car towed to Chico and the service provider they used was J & L towing The tow truck driver told me that I can leave and he'll meet me in Chico and if he had any problems he called me well he never called he left my keys with a random stranger I called AAA with my card never arrived and still to this day I'm having a hard time getting the problem resolved nobody's trying to take accountability read more

Worst experience ever! After being a member for 20 years or more now. The agent was incompetent, in helping me with just a simple tow from a residence to a place of business (Tire Shop). After having to ask for a manager, the manager insisted they were not aloud to do it. When they had just done the same tow to the same location a few weeks earlier. Watch out for the auto renew. Last year was taken out of my account on the day due. This year taken out 5 days early. With other bills due, overdrew my checking account. AAA cost me an extra $50 this year to 'SAVE" $10. Been a member for almost 30 years and it is definitely not the AAA it used to be. Think time to cancel. This is the worst AAA office I've been to. As a new resident to Redding, and this being the only office here, it's time to end my membership. Dan (wearing a AAA Volunteer shirt) was confused by my DMV paperwork so refused to help me. I assured him that he could, as the Chico office had already worked on it and knew what they were doing. In response he said "I wouldn't have done it" and insisted AAA couldn't do it. He didn't even pull it up in the computer, just refused to help and insisted no one else could help either when I asked for someone else. That's my last time in that office. read more

Outstanding Travel Services My wife and I have gotten maps and travel books every now and then from our Redding AAA branch but we have used their travel services extensively. Ron Heisler was the travel associate we worked exclusively with and he was outstanding. Ron planned 2 river cruises, one ocean cruise and three bus tours of Europe for us. Ron kept in close touch thourgh out the travel arrangements, anticipated and solved problems, followed up immediately on our questons gaving us increadible customer service. We recommended Ron at AAA to our friends and they all got the same wonderful serivce. Unfortunately Ron recently left AAA. As AAA members since 1978 we really got our moneys worth out of AAA travel services thanks to Ron Heisler. read more

I only have the emergency towing through AAA but for the past year or 2, I have used the DMV services inside AAA(It's for AAA members, I know, awesome!). This is the best service ever! Seriously, the people inside are helpful, knowledgeable and do the best they can with your circumstances. I had to come back a few times(each with a short wait) and one time I was told I had to go to the main DMV. All odd situations, when I finally got to just go in and pay my fees because I knew it would be a short thing, it was. A+ Service. read more

If I could, I would give this business no stars. I have been a AAA member for over 50 years and the service just continues to deteriorate. If you try to call the Redding office you will get an endless series of phone trees, elevator music and other runarounds. All I wanted to do was cancel an appointment and it proved impossible. I kept getting transferred to someone who said it wasn't their job and they would transfer me....more elevator music. I finally just hung up and decided I just wouldn't show up for the appointment. read more

She used to work in a local attorneys office that represented my son without her there the office is not run well anymore .She was always professional and efficient. Recent snow in Redding caused a major power outage. We had no power, or phone 4-6 days. Lots of homes and businesses suffered in the cold, no food, driveways blocked with trees. My garage has a huge limb on it, couldn't get out the drive way, trees on fences and trees big oaks laying all over my property. I called in a claim the 1st day on my cell. All my neighbors issues and claims with their insurance companies have been resolved. My insurance company waned me to take a photo of every item in my freezer and itemize it and sending an agent to review the damage (who I have not yet heard from). My neighbors have people clearing their property as we speak. USAA, Mercury, Liberty Mutual all great companies that took care of their customers. I am still waiting for TripleA to Bering in their lie detectors and interrogation agents. read more

Paid for membership card in May. Still haven't received it two months later. Called them 3 times and talked to manager. Still no card. Customer service is gone from the Redding office in my opinion. Not the AAA of old, seems to be going down hill. So now 6 days after I wrote this review I receive a ridiculous, very unprofessional temporary membership card that looks like it was made by MS Word and run through a laminating machine. Like I said they seem to be going down hill. Received an e-mail stating that someone will be calling me. None of this makes sense. I thought I was just asking to be treated like everyone else, but my impression now is this is how everyone else is treated. Doubt very much that someone will call me from AAA. I needed a new homeowners policy and there are few companies left in California that still insure homes. Of those companies, I found AAA in Redding to be a great company. They offered the most / best coverage at the best price out there. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable. The only thing is that this is a member based company, so you must become a member in order to get the insurance, which is a small price to pay for what they offer. So when you get your insurance quote, remember to add the membership cost to it for a true total. read more

Spoke to a customer service person 3 weeks ago to remove a vehicle from my policy (no record of phone call) ! Then was told there would be a prorated charge for canceling the auto which is twenty dollars more per month! The first lady 3 wks ago said my premium would go back to $65 a month for my car! Well, this didn't happen! Instead they want me to pay $140 for removing an auto! AAA used to be reliable and not take advantage of seniors but times have sure changed! I told them this is financially a big hardship but she wouldn't work with me at all! Seems you get a different answer depending on whom your speaking to! Going to local office tomorrow see if they can resolve this! Very upsetting ! read more

Just used my roadside today, clogged fuel line! I asked for a flatbed for my classic station wagon and that's what showed up. What is nice about AAA is, when I buy a new car (even on the weekend), I just call and have it added. Then they bill me with my regular bill. Also the DMV services are great, I can avoid the crowded regular DMV office. read more

Went today to get travel books for our summer vacation down south from Santa Cruz to San Luis Obispo. Met with James. Top notch customer relations. Did our trip tik for the southern route - offered to do one for the return - we didn't think we'd need it - but now on second thought we may return to have him do one for that leg of our journey. I was with my son who is 11 and his response when we walked out of the office - was - James was really nice and helpful. Well stated - and I agree with my son. We also did get our tour books. Worst service ever. Since the very start, I have experienced nothing but headaches. I changed over to AAA so I could combine my home owners and auto insurance under one company. I was asked for first and last months payment, which I paid. However according to them, first and last months payment just means they will reduce the cost of payments over the term of the policy. So without telling me this, they dont send a bill for the first month, allowing me to assume the first month was paid. But then I get notices of cancellation. So I pay those all up to date, and switch to auto pay so I can avoid this in the future. Now they tell me they are having problems with auto pay, and I was only charged $3. Now they are sending more cancellation notices. I call and they say that it is all fixed and I am up to date. Couple days later I am told I owe two months worth of payments. To be honest I have lost track on what money is owed for what because between the 4 different people that have been trying to figure this issue out, all of them have given me different stories. This has been a nightmare. read more
