I had homeowners insurance with Shaw (and Foremost insurance group). As you might expect it is easy…read moreenough to get homeowners insurance not so easy to be paid on a claim. I had mold that appeared on my bathroom walls. First I had to get a company to remove the mold, which they did but they didn't replace the dry wall and carpeting that they had to tear up to remove the mold. Then I had to get a contractor in to perform the repairs. He told me that this type of remediation should be covered by my Homeowners insurance. Wrong! The insurance adjuster from Shaw arrived and looked over the work that had been performed and talked to the workmen who performed the work. Although he "tried very hard to find some part of my policy to cover the damage" he couldn't therefore I didn't receive any repayment for over $3,000.00 in repairs. The fact is the insurance companies will only cover those "one in a million" events that might occur in your home. Anything else is on you. I don't recommend Shaw insurance services or The Foremost Insurance group. When you need coverage it simply isn't there.

The requested information was promptly emailed. Numerous emails to Kenneth Hill inquiring as to the refund status were ignored. After several months, I went into the office and spoke to the receptionist as Kenneth was not in. She was able to assist. It took 8.5 months to get the refund. If I had not been persistent, I believe I would not have received the refund. I DO NOT recommend Kenneth Hill.
