I have been with State Farm since age 17, and for the past many years, with Jeff Avery and his very able longterm associate Melanie. They both have given excellent advice in tailoring our policies to our needs, and saved us many dollars over the years while smoothly and efficiently handling our infrequent claims. To borrow the motto of our beloved Nissan Xterra, "Everything you need, and nothing you don't." Two days ago my wife was passing a big rig on I-5 when it kicked a rock and shattered the cargo window on the passenger's side of the Xterra. I called Melanie to report the damage and within an hour received a call from Amanda at Platinum Glass who set up an appointment for yesterday at 0800. At 0910 Amanda called to say the installation was completed and the Xterra ready to be picked up. So, less than 18 hours from the claim to complete satisfaction. I moved from out of state and called a few State Farm agents and didn't get a response. Then someone from Jeff Avery 's office did reach out, and I set up an auto policy. I did my work online, so I never met with Jeff. I was at a medical office near Mercy Hospital and got into my car to go home and dropped my car keys and couldn't locate them. I looked outside the car, under the car, inside, under every seat. No keys. I was frantic but careful to leave a door open because my doors would lock automatically on me. The alarm was also going off when I opened different doors. I had no one to call. Ah, I had roadside assist so I called Jeff's office to ask how to use it. Jeff so reminded me of my hometown experiences when he offered to come by to see if he could help. He did; and he found me with both front doors open (to prevent more alarms) and he found my keys in the car between the driver's seat and the console. What's not to like about this kind of service? I have peace of mind about my home and auto coverage. read more
