So this started back in June of 2025 when my Battery died and because I have a vehicle that Is used for Work it's important that I get my Battery replaced as soon as possible. So I drove to this Interstate Battery location to have my Battery replaced. When I pulled up to the Business the parking lot was about full so that gave me a good sign that this was a great place to get our battery replaced. So I walked in and started talking to the Associate about my problem and they kindly offered to look at testing my Battery and advised that if the battery was bad that they would look at getting it replaced. After waiting about 10 minutes and pulling my vehicle into the bay, they tested the battery and sure enough the battery was on its last leg. The associate there offered me a battery that had a blemish and because of that it would be lesser cost. So I decided to take that one. After a period of months the battery worked GREAT! But then 2 months ago the battery started causing my vehicle not to start. If I waited a minute I could then start my car. Well this went on for awhile and so I decided to take my Vehicle to a mechanic to have the battery tested. The diagnostic came back as the battery was showing as it having Low Voltage. So I returned back to this place and explained the situation and since the battery is under warranty I was wanting to have it replaced. The one thing that I dont like here is the Associates tell you "Well if your battery is doing good then we cant replace it for you after we test it" I mean maybe they have to say that, but a customer isn't going to come in and lie about the battery they are having problems with. WELL maybe they would, but no honest person would anyways. Especially with us having to drive almost 3 hours 1 way to look at having a battery replaced. Oh, and if you live in Sacramento, dont go to the Wherehouse because they dont do installs. They can test your battery but they want you to take the battery out and also to bring it to them. Anyways, so after having a conversation with Destin, he said because the battery wasnt showing 300 cold cranking amps that he would go ahead and replace it. Well after waiting about a half hour, my car was finally back on the road and with a new Battery. Let me tell you that since that day of having my battery replaced a week ago, I havent had any trouble with it since. The only reason why I am giving this a 4 star and not a 5 star is because I dont think Associates should be telling customers that if the battery is Healthy then they cant replace it. Because from a Customers perspective they are gonna know best with what is wrong with their vehicle if the only thing they replaced that started the problem was the battery. read more

Well I have to tell you this was a great experience! My battery died the day before. I charged it back up that night. The next day I drove to Interstate Battery. They checked my charging system (which was good), checked my starter (which was good) and then took my old battery out and did a thorough check. It was ok. It had a dead cell but would probably get me by for a couple more years. They did not try and sell me anything. Needless to say I bought a new battery. Personally I don't like being stranded. If you want to wade through the crowds at Costco you might get a better price! Personally I like a fair price with great service any day!!! read more

My car was having trouble starting, still starting but longer crank up times, especially if I didn't drive it for a couple of days. Someone told me Interstate was a good brand to go with and better than some house brand at a discount super store. This store had the battery I needed so I drove to Redding to get it installed. The process was easy and didn't take too long at all. The people here are easy to deal with and professional. The price was higher than I thought batteries cost, but I guess if you want a better product, you gotta pay more. At least the green battery looks cool under my hood! My original battery lasted 5 years, so I guess that's about the time to replace them. Better to replace sooner than wait till the car doesn't start and you're stuck out somewhere. My car starts super fast now when I hit the start button. It's like day and night with peace of mind ... and one less thing in life to worry about! read more

I went to purchase a battery for my auto recently . We had researched the batteries available on interstates website . The battery we selected $139 on their website we were told they didn't carry ? Next battery $20 more . I decided to purchase a a premium battery for $219. When he posted the sale there was a $20. Plus surcharge for tariffs they said . This should be brought up before the sale as it's basically hidden fee sales and not reflective of the price that was presented . Wayne and the guys at interstate are pros and have never let me down. Wayne took the time to come out to my vehicle and trouble shoot my battety issue in my truck. The terminal was quite corroded and just about welded on. He spent 20 minutes and some elbow grease removing, cleaning and wire brushing the connections. Never in my life have I reviewed a car battery place until today. I returned to my car in the mall parking lot to head to my next appointment and my battery was dead. Second time in 3 weeks. Sigh. Call AAA (no, I didn't leave my lights on) and the tow driver was there in 10 minutes. We talked about my low voltage (I know more about car batteries than I ever hoped to know) and how I needed to replace my "Sears" battery. We batted around options and he said, "For the best battery go to Interstate Batteries." I called over and they had one and said to drive over. In a twist of fate, it was 5 min walk from my next appointment so figured I could leave it. No need. Wayne started right when I got there (think Nascar pit crew!) and Josh picked up from there when Wayne's daughter showed up with a dead battery. Josh checked the book and the battery in my car was the wrong one! No wonder it kept dying. It was sealed, but I asked if we could look inside (I like looking inside of things to see how they tick) and Jemuel pointed out that two of the cells were empty and had overflowed. Thanks for that. My friend and I were on our way to Los Angeles from Seattle and were a bit nervous about the rest of the drive down since my battery needed to be jumped 3 times already. Josh was so friendly and professional. He ran several diagnostic tests and sure enough it was time for a new battery. He installed the new battery in no time and the price for the battery was comparable to the lowest I found online and he didn't even charge me for installing it. What?!! Had an issue with my 18 Ram diesel. Dual batteries one shorted out, I tried to charge it at home and no luck. Called Interstate discussed my situation with Billy said come see us. Save your money and go to les schwab or napa interstate does not stand behind there batterys and will give you the run around to call corporate then corporate says to take the batterys to central point oregon 5 hours away. I bought two batterys from intetstate 6 months ago they both went bad they did not warranty them and had to buy two more batterys to replace them. I will never but from them again read more

This battery place is the best place in the world. They do incredible service and their prices are more than fair. If you need batteries or cables, terminals or any repair like that they are the best. One time I came in to buy a battery and they spent about an hour fixing cables and the battery. Their prices for repairs are excellent and their quality of work is beyond anything you would expect. The workers are excellent and very professional. Today I needed a very simple fix and they did not mess me over. They fixed my terminal problem and barely charged a thing instead of price gouging like so many do. Don't buy batteries anywhere else in the Redding area not even Costco because they do the best job around and they fix the problem completely. They do a far better job than Les Schwab or anyone else. I got in my car this morning to head for work, noticed it flickered and took a full second before it started. I thought oh oh, battery. Sure enough, left work to go to the bank and car barely started! Hubby asked the guys at work and they all suggested interstate batteries. This location in Redding, CA was awesome I showed up after i was refered to them for a battery by auto zone. He said they closed at 6pm and i arrived at 530pm I waked in on the day before thanks giving the asked what i was looking for i said a battery for my car he directed me to the correct battery which was a steal a battery for 60 dollars and some change and a 18mo warranty. And they also installed battery for free, after the tech was done installing the battery I said "I'm surprised you guys are open till 6pm." and he replied "where not." He said we just helped you cause we haven't closed up shop that day yet. Now that is customer service not even making a remark about being closed from any of the staff they just helped me out when I had a dead battery.
