Went to setup a line on my daughter's phone. The fellow at the store was quite nice, but he failed to complete the task. The next day, the line still wasn't active, so we went to a Verizon store (corporate, not a franchise like Victra). They said there was no record of the account in the system, so we set it up again with a new number. We went back to Victra for a refund and they refused, saying the $45 "in-store" fee was non-refundable, despite their failure to actually active the line. It turns out the in-store fee is only charged at franchises: the corporate store charged only the fee for the actual plan. The main lesson is to avoid franchises. Go to a corporate location, which is cheaper and they're more likely to get it right the first time. read more

I ordered new iPhone that was shipped to this location, I came in to pick it up and The employee had an attitude as soon as I walked in the door. I told him that I had a phone shipped here and I received a call from Travis saying it was ready to be picked up. All I got from this guy was attitude and smart remarks. Avoid this store at all cost. After getting an Internet box that never worked. I was told I had to go to an official Verizon store to return the router box. Once at an official Version store they told me that was incorrect. After returning to this store they then confirmed they could return it but only with a shipping label and box they sent to my house. After driving to three different stores and waisting hours of time I'm left with a $30.00 connection charge on an Internet service that never worked. Plus shipping back a box that I should have been able to return in the store I picked it up from. The least they could have done after all this was return the $30.00 but for some reason that is just not possible. I thought switching from Xfinity to Verizon was a good idea. We have been a long time customer (almost 25 years) with 9 different lines. My husband and myself are having problems in our home with their service. Sometimes I have SOS (no signal) and maybe 1 bar with LTD when we live in a 5G area. I cannot send text messages or make phone calls. This is even if I am using our home Wifi. We have been on the phone numerous time with support and they tell us nothing is wrong. If we could go to another carrier we would. If I had to do it, we would never go with them. DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE GOING WITH THEM! Update: we have contacted customer service and they don't' seem to help us. They did some adjustments and we still can't send text messages. read more

I went to this store 3 weeks ago at 10 am right as the store opened. A Hispanic looking male in his 30's with long hair sat at the counter. I told him my I-phone was frozen. I asked, if the sales clerk could help. He took my phone and started 'doing something,' but I had no idea what. I asked him specifically what he was doing to unlock my phone. He responded: Don't worry about it, I'm already doing it." I said: No, I want to know what you're doing to fix my phone. He said: I'm unlocking it." How,? I asked. He just motioned with his hands, rather than explaining what he did. I told him I did not appreciate being told "don't worry about it," when I asked earlier what he was doing. He said he NEVER said that. I said "you did say that and right to my face 2 minutes ago. He kept saying "no, I didn't." Unbelievable. So, here's someone who's talking down to me by suggesting I don't need to know what he's doing to fix my phone, nor would he explain how it got locked and show me how to fix it myself in the future. Very disappointed in this verison store. I was out and out lied to in regards to the price of a phone and the insurance on it. The phone was a low price and I was NEVER told it was a monthly pymt. Same with the insurance. I was told a price but NEVER told it was monthly. I also have a witness to this transaction. Unlike Apple you pay one fee, one time for coverage. Lastly an employee working there had a terrible cough & simply covered the mouth when the coughing began. At the very minimum a mask should be worn by the employee. This has been a disaster. I went in on Feb. 28 with my mom, who lives in Eugene, to set up our new family plan. I wanted the iPhone 4 for Verizon... but apparently as a licensed and not official Verizon store, they wouldn't be getting them till March 1, the next day. But mom-sie was out that afternoon! What to do? The fix, our salesgirl said, was for me to buy an Android at the same price and exchange it the next day. Not to bore ya with details, but when I went back the next day, I spent two hours while some other person tried to first exchange, then return, then refund my money. March 1 I was told a refund check was in the mail and should get there in 8-10 business days. I called March 30 for help... some lady said she'd get back to me. No response. Still no check. Nothing like being taken for an extra $200. read more

Zach, George and Isiah were all fantastic. We bought a SIM card for a phone we purchased at Costco. Had trouble getting the SIM card to work so we went back to the store. Initially they thought it was a prepaid phone that couldn't be activated for our existing account. However, they went the extra mile in the store by trying another SIM card and eventually calling customer service for us. Isiah not only got the phone to work but told us his concerns about the phone. Any one of these gentlemen could have easily referred us back to Costco. I went in to Verizon because my old flip phone isn't holding a charge and the volume wasn't working right. I bought a phone from Erik who was so helpful in explaining the new phone and showing me how everything worked. After 3 hours of using it at home, I knew it wasn't a fit for me. I returned, and Erik was just as gracious and helpful with the return as he was selling me the phone. He really went above and beyond to help and there was no pushiness or any judgement on his part. I've always been treated well at this location, but this is the best experience I've had here even though the phone wasn't for me. I will ask for him next time I go into the store. read more

Holy smokes I don't know where to begin. My boyfriend and I decided it was time for an upgrade as we had paid off our phones. He was still undecided on which phone to go with so he was going to wait until I got mine. We stopped by together so he could browse while I began the trade in process. The guy was working there by himself and started off by saying the entire staff walked out the day prior after some mishap with the manager. Which is a really shotty way to start off a transaction because I was from then on wondering if Verizon really treats their employees this poorly and should I continue to give them my business? Anyway, I proceeded to trade my phone in, I was switching from android to iPhone which really didn't seem to please him. He asks me why I'm switching and I gave him answers to which he objected to and then followed with well no one in the industry has an iPhone. Ok... the transferring data from the one phone to the other took a long time, to be expected going from galaxy to apple, my boyfriend suggested that since my trade in was damaged and only valid for store credit, that I take both phones home to transfer the data myself and then return the following day to trade my old one for store credit, to which the employee said IMPOSSIBLE. And then starts petty arguing with him Umm.. my boyfriend is a software developer, I think we could have handled that one.. but not wanting to agitate the situation more, I just let the guy do what he had to do and my boyfriend walked home. It took almost 3 hours in total and the guy kept putting his fingers in his mouth and biting his nails and then touching all over my new phone (barf) I left and went grocery shopping and came back and finally finished. Not wanting to relive the situation, my boyfriend went to a different location to get his upgrade. They let him take both phones home to transfer data himself. Not so "impossible" after all. PS I disinfected the hell out of my brand new phone as soon as I got home. read more

We walked into this store feeling desperate after 1 week of trying to upgrade our phones and hitting one problem after another. We had purchased an unlocked phone at an electronics store only to find when we tried to activate it that our provider, Credo, would not activate a new phone we did not purchase from Credo. There were numerous other issues that we were unable to resolve. We explained our problems to Adam at the Verizon Wireless store. He immediately resolved our issues, activated our new phones and even transferred info from our old phones to new phones. After 1 week of having no phones and no hope of resolving our issues we left the Verizon store with 2 working new phones. Adam did all this in a very short period of time with much grace and patience. Next time we want to upgrade we will go directly to Verizon Wireless on Broadway and get the help and service we need. DJ was my customer service provider today and I truly cannot believe the phenomenal customer service I received from him. It honestly stands out in my mind as one of the absolute best customer service experiences I have ever had in my life. I came in needing to transfer my phone off of a family plan at AT&T to an individual plan at Verizon for my new job. I wanted to not spend more than $300, I was open to getting a new iPhone (the back of my iPhone was shattered), I wanted to keep my current phone number, and I wanted to establish my Apple Watch with Verizon as well. DJ achieved all of these goals AND MORE. He found the absolute best promotion for brand new customers and I was able to get a new iPhone 12 Pro Max and stay in my budget! I also was able to get everything restored on my new phone in the store (because I had backed up my iCloud within the last 24 hours), get my Apple Watch synced, wipe the old phone and trade it in, all UNDER AN HOUR. I have just had the very best phone buying/upgrade experience of my life. Emily at this location is a superstar. I was grumpy coming in after visiting the Lloyd center Verizon and being told "yeah, we can't help you" and the Best Buy saying "nu uh, we don't got that, you should try Batteries Plus". The fellow at Batteries Plus said it wasn't the battery it was the phone. Luckily GoWireless was right next door and Emily was amazingly helpful, charming and knowlegable. She accessed my needs and determined I could use a cheaper plan since I am not a big data user. She got me out of there with a new phone, new plan and FREE tablet. All for less than the price of a new battery. I felt like I was cared for honestly, a rare thing in the world ofCellular Phone sales. Bravo! read more

I am experiencing a little cognitive dissonance right now. I had such a positive experience at a Verizon store that I'm Yelping about it the same day? Wha-?! This was my first time at this location. I was purposing avoiding the Lloyd Center shop, which has, as far as I can tell, one excellent employee, and a whole lot of unnecessary wait time and stress. In contrast, GoWireless Verizon on Broadway is all about customer service. I went in to upgrade my iPhone prepared for the same disappointing service I've received elsewhere. My visit started as expected: waiting behind a very frustrated customer who was yelling at everyone she got on the phone. I can't imagine this was pleasant for the consultant patiently waiting on her, but at least he wasn't the target. After a few minutes, Emilie Gockel came out to help me. She was friendly, not fake, efficient, and thoroughly competent. When my upgrade was inexplicably denied by one corporate message but not another, Emilie promptly got on the phone to try to fix the problem. I appreciated not having to do so myself, as well as her empathy regarding the mixed messages I received and frustration at having to complete my request online instead of in-store. Although I didn't accomplish what I came in for (hence the 4 stars), and have to upgrade my phone online or wait forever at an Apple store, Emilie offered to assist me over the phone should I have any trouble transferring my info. She also replaced the ill-fitting case I've been using to ineffectively carry my phone with an old rubber sleeve and case free of charge. I didn't feel pressured to buy anything I didn't want or need, and I left better versed about the upgrade procedure, my plan, and insurance. I was particularly impressed when Emilie checked to confirm my understanding of what she described. Too often salespeople breeze through the details, leaving me wondering what I'm actually paying for. This wasn't the case today. Thank you, Emilie, for making what could have felt like a wasted trip into a pleasant experience. My newly protected iPhone thanks you, too! read more

I've never left a Yelp review, but am inspired to do so because of the amazing customer service at this Verizon store. I was ready to take the plunge and buy a smart phone. Yes I know it's 2018. I was a hold out. At the store Matt asked me many questions about my intended use and then helped me to pick out the best phone for me. I was completely new to smart phones and he patiently showed me how to use it and even some cool tips. The whole affair took two hours! Matt was so helpful and kind -- the time flew by and I left the store feeling confident in my purchase.
