I received a $200 credit on the new phone as I transferred the phone number from another cell phone carrier. Then, as I was already a Verizon FIOS customer, I received a further $200 credit. Went to the store at opening for help upgrading an iPhone. Store was being opened by two employees but there was an additional person lounging in the corner of the store- appeared to be a friend. If it was an employee, that's a bigger problem. Unwelcoming and limited customer service in general, but what got me to leave was overhearing the employee and friend talking about me in an unwelcoming/judgmental way while I was browsing options, as though I was bothering them by being there. Left an uncomfortable situation to go to the Glenville location instead, where the team was extremely friendly, efficient and helpful. Went in to replace a lost phone. The sales representative seemed knowledgeable at first, however things went downhill when quickly. First it took over 15 minutes just to finalize the billing. The representative had to consult with two other reps to process and finalize the bill. Second, instead of billing the majority of the balance to my account, I had to pay the balance due to technicalities of the representative. Then I get home, assuming the phone would work. Nope. I spent an hour on the phone with three departments of Verizon to reset and set up the phone. Each telephone representative said "I can't believe your phone wasn't set up in the store." Neither could I. Lastly, the store claims to be handicap friendly. During my 45 ordeal to purchase the new phone, I explained I needed a restroom. I have multiple sclerosis and can not hold my urine. I was told I could go to the gas station and come come back. I said well this should take more than ten minutes, or something like that, so I'll try to hold it. I then exclaim "I'm going to pee my pants!" Still no accommodations. I proceeded to strut around the store and sit in the front windows trying to keep myself from having an accident. I left furious. Never in my life, as a disabled person, have I been humiliated in front people. Shame on you Verizon. Shame on you. You can't activate a phone and you don't have compassion for a disabled person. If time wasn't of the essence, I would have left. It's too bad, never before have I had a bad experience with this shop. read more

I expect better. Remember the days of own a problem until it is solved? Well, they are over. I purchased a GizmoWatch for my son a couple of weeks ago. I asked at the time if we would have issues since we are AT&T customers. They said absolutely not. Great! It has been a complete headache ever since. I cannot access an online account until I wait for a letter to arrive via USPS. After quite a long hold, and ultimately being called back by customer care, I was told they could not help me and that I needed to go to the store. So... I did. Naiya attempted to "help" me. She was obnoxious and snotty. They had the TV on very loudly (on a not even live football game). She did put me on with core support (their internal support in the store). Dan basically told me that I needed to set something up/troubleshoot via my online account. You know, the one I can't have for another week. Ugh. Ultimately, he told me to go home and call the regular customer care number. I couldn't get through because they wanted to text a link to our Verizon number to start a live chat. Again, I it is a watch... can't do it. So, I called the store manager back. After waiting 35 minutes on hold, Dwayne was very nice. He validated my concerns. Who cares? I don't need my concerns validated. I know they are real problems. I am looking for answers. He basically shrugged his shoulders. So, I have googled. Calling their main number and pressing 0 over and over again at least gets you on hold for a human. I literally have no belief that this is a good use of my time. Perhaps someone in charge will see this and reach out to me. That is my greatest hope. If someone from corporate responds that I should call 800-922-0204, my head might explode. I've been on hold various times today. I've wasted most of my day. Either message me a direct number or send me an email address. Verizon customer service is terrible. read more

I went there today to upgrade my phone with my brother and unfortunately my brother & I am got into a verbal dispute over whether to do Verizon edge or a two year contract. We started to get loud and I want to apologize to the staff. Also, i have to say that they handled it really well. Bryon and Hope were two sales associates that calmed us down and handle the situation well, they both showed great professionalism. I highly recommend going to this store because first off it is not a authorized dealer, it is the actual Verizon. Second, all of the staff seems legit and very professional and they all have great knowledge of their products. we were also given advice on how to save money on our monthly bill. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life! I pay on an average $165 a month for basic services. They charge $109 every time they make a service call! On the phone the lock u into packages and misinform you. The service techies are nasty and several yelled at me. They blame it on your t.v. Or building. I think they are criminals and just because some buildings have contract deals you are forced to use them and get ripped off! The government should regulate them!! read more

How do you run a store with only one person working? The greater basically sits in the front giving excuses on why he only has one person working while he does NOTHING but stand around watching people waiting get irritated! This review is for both the Verizon store & the service (including Fios). As far as quick internet goes, Fios is amazing!! Five stars for Fios internet. The cable tv stations leave something to be desired, I lost channels after upgrading to a "higher level" option. What's up with that Verizon? Ok. Then I had a problem with a Verizon product, I requested a repair. They sent someone to fix a line, texted me that it was "fixed" but it wasn't. Next they gave me a window for when they would return, but then called & said they were running late. So I had to take off another day & wait for the repair, which was done correctly the second time. Both times, the repair men were highly professional & sharp. Seemed the problem was with the system. I like the people Verizon hires, always professional, never had any issues. Ironically, communication is the problem here. Verizon was responsive but I hate their phone tree. The store is decent, I had a problem with an iPad, went in & they fixed it immediately. I think I'd be happy with Verizon if they 1) got rid of their phone tree when you try to call them and 2) made it easier to get repairs done. read more

My phone broke due to a corrupt update and I had to order a new one. When I brought the new phone in, I asked the woman to run all updates before activating the phone. I stood there for over an hour waiting. She didn't run the recent updates, refused to transfer my information from my old phone to the new one telling me I had to redownload everything on my own, and didn't know how to make basic changes to settings. I left with a phone I can't use, and now have to run the update that broke my phone in the first place. When I originally bought the phone it took this store over three hours to activate it. I recently had a wonderful experience at this location, thanks to Dimitry. He immediately assisted my boyfriend and I upon walking in - He was extremely nice, helpful, and attentive, while ensuring we received the best deal. Although the store had a solid amount of foot traffic, and it was approaching store-closing time, he still was able to get us in and out (with my new IPhone 8 Plus... yay!) without feeling rushed, and ensuring all of our questions were answered. After visiting 3 Westchester Verizon locations today in search of a specific product I can't help but compare the management styles of each store. The Mohegan Lake and Hartsdale locations were very nice and helpful. They each offered to call other locations and accommodate my request. This store took the "bad manager attitude" to a whole new level. AVOID cellular frustration and this store until Verizon gets new management. Choose any Westchester corporate location but this one! I had my second negative experience at this store. I bought a phone and Otterbox case here about 6 months ago. My case cracked and the Otterbox website says the original retailer should replace it under the warranty. I finally got around to going in today and was treated very poorly. I explained the above and the salesman immediately had an attitude and said they don't replace cases if they are damaged from a drop (which doesn't make sense since that's Otterbox's whole warranty). I explained the website said to come to the store for the replacement. Another salesman at the desk shook his head while listening to our conversation. I turned around, left and called Otterbox. The friendly associate apologized and said retailers usually resist doing the warranty but they'd be happy to help. I didn't need to send them my receipt but they took the barcode number inside the case. Will have a new one in a week. While I understand that the store clearly had a policy of not replacing cases, there was no need to be rude and condescending. A simple calm explanation would have been fine. They certainly aren't making a good case for themselves as the Verizon workers are outside the store picketing for a better contract. I certainly will not need visiting this store again. read more

So this is going to be one of those "I should of read the Yelp reviews first" stories because the recent ones speak volumes and thensome with this customer service trainwreck of a store. A few weeks back I go in because I had a spare phone that we wanted to see if we could activate on our plan, I'll note that this wasn't a Verizon phone but it was a Samsung and I just wanted to know if it would work and what our options were. The guy I spoke with goes through the scanning process and states that it can be used but it's going to cost "x" dollars more on my current plan. I didn't activate it that day because I just wanted to review everything financially. After deciding that I wanted to go ahead and activate the phone I go in about a week later, I'm with a different technician and he's stating that the phone can't be used. I explain what I was told and this guy starts mouthing off to me and giving me an attitude, cutting me off at times when I'm just trying to ask a question, he also immediately tries going into "upsell mode" as a means of trying to get me to buy something in the store. I then attempt to ask if he could determine who I spoke with before and why I was given the wrong information, again I'm cut off and told that he can't find that out for me (so he doesn't know his own colleagues and when they work there? Yeah, doubt that.) He openly states "I'm not trying to argue with you" and I retort that I'm not trying to argue either but all I'm trying to do is ask a question yet he's continuously cutting me off and taking a tone and attitude with me. In the end this guy decides he's not going to talk to me anymore, storms away from the desk and says that I can come in and talk to the manager about all this tomorrow, real professional there pal. Simply put I was given misinformation by an employee and nobody wanted to own up to it or try to rectify the situation, instead I was given crass attitude. And instead of talking to the manager I think I'll just take it to the next level and write in to customer service along with writing this review to let the masses know what an atrocious establishment this is. If you need to utilize a Verizon store you've got much better options nearby in Greenwich, Harrison and White Plains. This place needs to be shut down or re-staffed with people who actually treat the customers with decency. read more
