I wish I could give 5 negative stars!!! These sales people are so incredibly slow. At least an hour wait per person. They're so incompetent!

Wow what a great place to get a new phone and plan. Ask for Amber she can save you a lot of money on a new plan and phone they have this new Edge plan. We are saving a lot of money for our family. Very Friendly, Knowledgeable and helpful she really takes her time to make sure you have the right phone and plan. I'm not sure why people are rating them low but everyone has their own option I guess. read more

I've been a Verizon customer for the last 12 years and have always had excellent service and today was no exception. They had answers to all of my questions and I walked out very pleased! Verizon might be a bit more expensive than other wireless providers but they never fail! read more

Justin Landin was so helpful, my old phone died suddenly with hundreds of contacts and old emails that we thought could never be recovered, but he fought through to the end and finally recovered everything! Great customer service! read more

Great employees that are willing to do anything to get the phone you want. I decided to step by the other day and check out their promotions and short story long I was convinced to buy a phone but the employee Named David didn't realize they didn't have the phone in stock so he drove all the way to concord to get the phone for me from another store! I came here on a Saturday noon and they had only two workers and all i wanted was to buy a plan anyways i waited 1 hour and still nothing there was other people walking in and walking out before me. They took too long helping other people. This store needs more workers as soon as possible. read more

The Clerks in this store left a lot to be desired. It was a simple task - replace my screen protector for Samsung G7. First screen protector sold to me was too small, it didn't reach glass edges on phone. had to return to store for correct item; at that point was told they didn't have it in store so they decided to order it, have it mailed directly to my home and I bring it in for installation; seemed simple enough. Well, 10 days later, no product received and receipt doesn't have a UPS tracking number. Called store and they don't have a tracking number or manager on duty to speak with. A Wireless customer service number was even worse. Called Verizon Customer Service and a new product/free is being sent with an appropriate product shipping/tracking number. This is simply too much stress for what was originally a simple task. Note to self and others... best to bypass this store and visit a real Verizon Store like El Cerrito or Emeryville. Just too sad... 8/21/17. Part Two. This store doesn't deserve to wear the Verizon Name. Had to get Verizon Customer Service involved to resolve the matter. I returned to the store to get a refund for the screen protector that took over 17 days to arrive that was to replace the to wrong sized product installed by their poorly trained staff. Well, no refunds period. The manager was rude and very indifferent. I will be sending a letter to this company A Wireless and Verizon. It was and issue of "steering/bait &switch" - sell the most expensive product $49.99 that staff knows will not fit, after complaints then attempt to order the correct product (not providing a tracking-number), product doesn't arrive until 17 days later, No Refunds and poor exchange policy. Thank goodness for Verizon Customer Service providing glass screen protector that fits - free of charge. Best to bypass this store and visit a real Verizon Store like El Cerrito or Emeryville. Just too sad... read more

Went in to purchase a phone. The associate professor was pleasant. I purchased an LG Q70. While performing the transaction informed the associate that I didn't want to purchase a phone that would extend my contract. She assured me that purchasing this phone would not extend my congract. She also informed me that the phone I was purchasing entitled me to select 2 optional items which I did select. I asked to see the receipt to which I was informed that a receipt would be sent to my email. I was also told that I had to finance $70.00 to receive the phone deal I was getting. Per the associate I could pay th $70.00 After approximately 3months. After paying $183.00 for what I was informed were taxes and other assistance fees I left. The following day I checked my email and saw on my receipt that I was charged for the 2 items I was told came with the phone. Later I called Verizon to confirm that I could pay off refinanced $70.00 charges and was informed that I had to continue Latin the $70.00 over 24 months or I would have to pay full phone value. I got scammed. Why can't customers view total costs at the store and get a printed receipt at the store to confirm you are getting what you were promised. Will never go back to this store. Funny liars and scammers. read more

My wife and I recently moved to an area that had zero reception with tmobile. With the knowledge that Verizon did have service there, we stopped at the store in pinole to explore our options. Alex an Justin spent an extraordinary amount of time with us getting us just the right phones and the right plan. We have been extremely pleased with our phones and our coverage. This type of dedication should not go unnoticed. Thank you so much Justin and Alex. Keep up the good work! read more

My family comes over by Bodega Bay to Pinole because of the excellent customer service received by Alexander!! Manager also went out of his way to help us!! This location should be a training store in providing customer service with Alexander doing the training. read more

Alex helped us in moving sim cards and transferring data from different models of phones to each other. He was very sharp, like working with a wizard of cell phones. Very friendly, efficient, and helpful to our business and personal cell phone needs. Excellent customer service! Store manager worked hard and cheerfully to get us the best deals. He was patient and understanding as to why it took forever for me to choose a number. read more

This store makes you feel like you are with Metro PCS instead of Verizon. I came in because my phone needed a battery replacement. I waited in line for 20 minutes and when I was finally attended, the girl working there simply told me to buy a new phone or call customer service. I've been with Verizon for over 3 years. I am well aware that I am paying more for my cell phone service. I stick with Verizon because of their excellent customer service (up until this store, I've had a great experience), their superior phone reception and because they always offer the best phones. I am willing to pay more for the best. If I wanted shifty service I would go to a cheap retailer like Metro PCS. I won't be going back to this store and will in the future make the drive to a store that is further away just to feel like I am going to a real Verizon store. Hopefully the staff get some customer service training from Verizon because they probably turn away a lot of customers. read more

This Verizon store is the worst! The employees don't even know what they are talking about and try to hustle you into getting more things and spend more money. When you voice concerns they brush you off. Wouldn't return here read more

This store is pretty bad to be honest. They do a very poor job of explaining things. I went to to upgrade to an iphone 6s and they made it seem like my bill would only increase by a few bucks, and the money paid upfront would allow that. Well not true, they are a third party dealer and the 180 bucks upfront was just instore and tax fees that I would not have had to pay at other locations. They are very unclear and you are better off going to a corporate location. read more

I brought my old phone in with sentimental data to be transferred in to my iphone 6 the woman that helped me today was extremely slow, and was not very efficient in helping me. she charged me 20$ data transfer fee with no receipt also when i got home the files were corrupted unable to open on my iphone 6. when i returned to the store explaining what had happened both her and the "manager" who went by the name "J" with no last name said they could not help me without even looking at my device for me. they said we cant help take it to El Cerrito because they have a technician there that can help. When i asked for a refund the manger "j" asked the woman "You charged him? " she said "yeah you know the "Data transfer fee?" "J "responded with we cant help and no refund and refused to give me his last name. My wife and I ended up figuring it out on our own by converting the files from 3g2 to mp4 wasn't that difficult just tedious. i am extremely disappointed in the stores value to customer service for being a loyal customer for over 15 years. i could not believe that they would not even take the time to look at my device or even see what was going on. quiet frankly the woman was faster to get her chinese food for lunch rather than helping me when i first got there. I wouldn't be surprised if she pocketed the 20$ as i did not get a receipt. This was unacceptable , and i will be calling corporate after being treated like an unvalued customer at this location. owner needs to know what is going on and get new management on his team. this will NOT go UNNOTICED. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would.... Completely useless store! Very unhelpful - wants me to call customer service from their phone? Why can't you help me? Bottom line - they're "mostly" retail and only care about selling phones, have no interest to help for anything else. Just needed help activating new phones!! Not what I expected... Called Verizon myself and got a VERY helpful person - this store needs to have their employees take some training classes or something! read more

If I could give this store less than one star I would. The wait time is ridiculous. Waited close to 2 hours to do a return only to find out there is a restocking fee of $75.00 on a $40.00 item?! Will not be coming back nor do I recommend anyone waste their time. I would recommend driving a few miles down the road to go to the El Cerrito Plaza store. Service there is 100 times better and they won't try to rip you off. read more

My husband and I have each dealt with three different men in this store. Each time, these men have been deceptive. We originally went to purchase a new phone for me. I wanted the Google Pixel, but the salesman kept pushing the LG on me. Finally, I gave in. They did most of the transaction in the back room. When we got home, we found they not only neglected to install my SIM card, but had put a tablet in the bag and added it to our monthly account without asking our approval. My husband went back the next day, and got them to remove the tablet, and exchanged my phone for the Pixel. Today, after working with Google Support, I determined my microphone was defective. I went to the store as suggested by Google to do a warranty exchange. They stated they don't do that. Please do not give this company your business. They are deceptive and do not run a good business. Only giving one star because you have to do at least one. read more

This place is the worst, you're better off driving to a real verizon store in El Cerrito. This place is an independent contractor. While it's nice to hire people with cognitive disabilities, it will take forever, and you will get ripped off because of incompetence. read more

I had the worst experience in this store. They added insurance to both phones on my account without asking and were extremely deceptive and manipulative. I've had to call Verizon headquarters to fix this. I could not get straight answers from them. Do not go to this store! read more

Went into Verizon, hoping for quick assistance , well quick soon turned to terrible customer service. Not only was I ignored while one guy typed, one guy was helping a customer, and another one moving one box at a time between front and back. Someone finally helped us, seemed like we were taking his time away from something other than helping customers. Then proceeded to make a problem with the phone worse than when I walked in, and said I was doing something wrong. And he said I would have to come back but hoping I wouldn't. Well, went next door to Target- Verizon service, and received exceptional service and corrected the actions from next door from the Verizon dealer. It took only a few minutes to correct and they were happy to help stating it was their job to help. So. if you need assistance with your Verizon phone, go to Target electronics - they treat you with respect and know more than the Verizon dealer next door !! read more

Awesome store, awesome staff! Top notch customer service. My husband and I needed new phones with broader reception than what we were receiving from another carrier. We knew Verizon offered the best coverage and we walked into the Pinole store and so happy we did. Two employees, Justin and Alex took the time we needed in finding just the right phones for us. They outlined all the features and pricing so we could make an educated purchase that fit our needs and budget. I can't thank them enough for providing superior customer service to us. My mother's cell phone kept freezing and we decided to get her an iPhone. Justin was so helpful and found a way to upgrade my mom's phone, provide more minutes and more data while also lowering our overall monthly cost! I bought a Samsung 8S+. Marcus sold it to me. These people try to help too many people at once therefore the wait is way TOO LONG!!I Went back on August 20, 2017 not long after I bought the phone. Dante was a great help, MARCUS WAS NOT!!! Dante tried everything he could to help me, Marcus was not too willing, after all he was not selling. I was there from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Finally after being on the phone with Verizon help Center I was sent to El Cerrito. The Pinole Store is not a Corporate Store it is JUST AN AUTHORIZED DEALER!! All they want to do is sell the phone, not help you with any issues. I have been a customer of Verizon since 2002. I am not happy with that phone. I will never go into that Pinole Store. Dante was great!! Marcus WAS NOT! Marcus needs to wash his hands, he kept getting DIRTY fingerprints all over my phone!!! My phone was defective. They gave me a refurbished phone, I did not buy a refurbished phone, I bought a NEW PHONE!! The first replacement did not work. The second one finally worked. The El Cerrito Store was great! I am not HAPPY with my phone. Maybe it is time to switch my carrier. read more

This was the worst experience I could have imagined. I should have yelped them before coming here because I experienced much of the same. Uninformed, sleazy, deceptive to the point of being unethical and very professional. Simply came to get a new Iphone 7, move an old # from old phone to new and put a family plan together for my wife and I. What should have taken an hour and half ending taking over 4 hours. They definitely are pushing new phones and the "accessorial charges" that go along with them. They told my wife that she was eligible for an upgrade and they had a "special" they could offer her. So they upgraded her to an Iphone 7 but because the initial presentation didn't spell out the charges accurately I challenged some of them and what they were for. I was told by the Store Manger "that's how we make our money" . When I told him I didn't care about how they made money but more about understanding "all the charges" and what it was going to cost me, we were given the breakdown. Wasn't until I threatened to cancel everything and go to another store/carrier that I was able to make any progress. Ended up with my wife keeping her Iphone 6 and me getting my new Iphone 7 and our Family Plan - 4 hours later. read more

This store uses deceptive business practices in order to get you to sign a contract. We were on an old plan with unlimited data for two of our main phone lines and they told us there was a way we could keep the unlimited data. We only had to upgrade one other phone to a smart phone and add 2GB of data service to it. We were told that we could later cancel the data service on that phone and keep the unlimited data on the other two phones. With the data service removed from the third smart phone, we could use it as an iPod and use WiFi for data services, they said. When I called a Verizon rep to ask about cancelling the data service on the third phone they said all smart phones required a data plan and I could not cancel the $30 a month data plan. When I told Verizon what the dealer had told me, they said they were incorrect and will file a complaint again the dealers. Verizon said the only thing I can do now is to downgrade the third phone line to a regular phone in order to get rid of the data service charge. Has anyone else been tricked into signing such a contract? read more

I guess these people don't care to stay in business. Note that the place is always empty. We live in Hercules, but always go to the El Cerrito store b/c we would go there when we lived in Albany, and they have great service. So we thought we would try Pinole. My wife walked in as I parked the car, we thought it would be packed, so she would go in first to get a number. About 2 minutes later I walk in and the guy is taking her information. He looked and acted the least bit interested. We asked to see if we could get a deal on a I phone update. He looked at us crazy and said no such thing. However, you can get a used old phone. We left and went to El Cerrito a few days later. End result, we walked out with two new I phones, a data plan that worked for us and great personal customer service. The phones, I phone 5 C, were 99 cents. We just paid the taxes and activation fees. Avoid the Pinole store if you can. read more
