Went in yesterday 3/11/15 to buy a new iphone 6/etc. It was busy but it took 20 minutes for an employee to even acknowledge me. I left. I stopped back in today. I was greeted by the manager who told me it would be about 5-10 minutes before someone could assist me. I told him that I had been in the day before and explained the situation. He said "ok". I sat down. The store was empty but for 2 people being helped.. 10 minutes passed. I peaked in the back and saw the manager and 2 other employees yucking it up. I left. I guess the the question is why is there a wait? If they dont have enough staff, then they should hire more or the manger should pitch in. I had been going to the south mountain store on baseline and never had this issue. I moved hence the change. Looks like ill head back there tomorrow. read more

I went in the store simply tagging along with my boyfriend who is a Verizon customer. The salesman, Armando, told me if I switched from ATT to Verizon he would give me the new iPhone XS for $700 off. He also said I would have the same hotspot usage as my current plan which I told him was very important to me as I use it for work all day everyday and can't be slowed or unreliable. Him and I went over it 100 times. First bill came and literally all of it was a lie. Charged me FULL price for the phone AND the data plan did not meet my needs. He lied and said it did to deceive me into thinking he beat ATT's plan I currently had. When I got my first bill I went into the store to get it sorted out and coincidentally Armando was working again. He actually tried to play it off like he had never told me any of those things UNBELIEVABLE. My boyfriend whom witnessed everything, we were both in complete shock he was actually trying to play it off like everything he told me the last visit like those conversations never happened. I had to escalate to his manager. After much back and forth the manager said he did not have the authority to resolve, took my info and would get back to me. I don't expect to hear any satisfactory resolution back. Armando fucked me for a commission check clear as day. I have been a Verizon customer for a few weeks now and I severely regret it. Now I am out A THOUSAND dollars and have a plan that doesn't meet my needs. I HATE Verizon so much. This is your new customer's experience. TERRIBLE way to get business. I went to this location yesterday to transfer information from one phone to another and also transfer the SIM card. The guy transferred the chip and told me to look up on YouTube how to back up and transfer data. Talk about lazy. T-Mobile would always make sure my data transferred not tell me to look it up on YouTube. read more

Came in about 20 minutes before closing, was then advised to come back tomorrow. Came out of the way to get phone activated. Told the sales person, guess you're going to stay late. The sales person was not happy. I get they're tired and ready to go home, but there is an expectation of service that they were not meeting. read more

All I can say is "lame"!!!! These clowns have no idea what they are doing and Verizon should be more concerned about the level of competence in this store. The four guys behind the counter had no clue that there were three people in the showroom waiting. Even after they checked in! I was just at the store around 2 PM and talked with the manager Cesar about purchasing a data cable not a power cable I have several power cables but needed a data cable to transfer data when I explain this to him he said he was not sure but it probably would work and if it doesn't I could bring it back; this is the worst customer service, especially from a manager who could've easily read the box like I did and found that it did say data. Also why is a manager letting all his employees stand around on their cell phones, huddled together instead of at least looking like they're busy. If it weren't for the one young polite sales person opening the door, I would not recommend this store at all. read more

Excellent service. Last time I came here I needed there help with activating my new iPhone and transferring my contacts to it. I was greeted right when I walked in by the manager herself and they she me know me a few people were ahead of me. After about 15 minutes it was my turn and they got to it. They called verizon IT for me to activate my new phone and at my request grabbed a phone cases from the back for me to look at. Everyone was extremely helpful and very efficient at helping me and the other customers I'm the store. Highly reccomend. read more

I received a friendly greeting from the "solutions manager," Catherine, and was seen right on time by Austin, who resolved my problems cheerfully and quickly. I was at this Verizon Wireless store yesterday to get a new phone. My contract was up, and it was Black Friday, so there were a lot of deals. The problem is, I had no idea on what phone I wanted to get. So I asked for help by a guy named Brad. After about an hour of looking at new phones, new plans, new cases, ect..., I finally picked my phone. Brad was extremely nice and helpful and supportive, even at the times were asked to look at ALL the different iPhones and the colors I came with. Brad exemplified all the things that make a fantastic worker, and he made my shopping experience more efficient and more relaxing. read more

They may provide good cell reception but at what cost, they are one of the worst people/companies. Everyone lies to you and they don't have to back up anything with substantial evidence. They do and say whatever they want to get you to buy something then jack up the price later. It's called bait and switch. They have a reputation for the worst customer service of any company. Long wait lines at their stores which are full of liars. If you can avoid Verizon and go with any other company I advise you to do so. read more

I saw another reviewer recently commented on the 44th St Verizon store and about Austin. I'd never heard of Austin, and we had never used the Verizon on 44th St before -- we usually go to the Verizon in Desert Ridge, which has always been very helpful. Yesterday we bought a new Motorola phone at the 44th Street store, and Austin was assigned to help us. He wound up helping us save over $200 by trading in our old phone, he rolled over all data into the Motorola for us, and he even provided instructions on how to use the new OS. Sonya C. comment on 1/4/16 is right -- Austin was amazing. I'd like to add a comment about Verizon. We've had Verizon as our provider now for almost five years. We've had nothing but the best service from Verizon for this time. Our network reception has been excellent, when we've had a question about services they've always helped us out, and they've helped us reduce our monthly bills. We have never had cell phone service to the par of Verizon. Never. read more

If I could do negative stars I would. Went here and spoke to Kayla. Tried to get a exchange on the last day of my 14 day return window but was told I could not exchange it return. I was given attitude from her and her managers. Decided to call customer care and they told me it wasn't true and I could indeed return my phone. Went back into the store and was told I couldn't despite what customer care told me. Since this was my last day of my 14 day window I needed to do this today. But they didn't allow me too. The worst place to buy your phone. These people and I used that term loosely are pirates and thieves and liars. I have had difficulty with my phone for over a year. I spent more time with Tech support than my own family. I was told the last time I was there if this does not work bring in the phone we will give you a new one. Mind you I paid my bill with perfect money and didn't receive perfect service. Think about that. Yet when I tried to return my phone the little worms sniveled and said well it's really hot. Yes I live in Phoenix!!! Well there's a little crack you have to pay 199,00 for us to give you a new phone we can't accept it! They can't accept it?????? I had good service from Jeremy here, so that was a positive. However, I would have taken my business elsewhere if I had seen what transpired in the store earlier. I had a long time to sit and wait as our phone lines were transferred to a new family plan. As I waited, watching the store, a black man walked in and began to look over the phones. An employee with a tag identified him as a manager began to treat him differently than everyone else who raked in the store - he asked him if he needed help in a warning-type way, not to actually offer sales help. He followed him around the store, unlike with any of the white or even Latino customers who had been in before. I could see the man growing uncomfortable, and then just leaving. He walked outside in the summer heat and waited for his family to finish at the restaurant next door, preferring the sidewalk to the air conditioning inside. We all have biases, and I would love to see Verizon's managers go through some sort of training in challenging implicit biases they have. read more

the same thing happened to me. we met with a salesman named nate who oozed sleezy from the moment we stepped in. He tried to sell us a package that i was positive was optional. he was very rude and made bad business for verizon wireless. he actually tried to argue with me saying i was rude when i asked to speak to his supervisor, since i was tired of his unprofessional remarks to my questions. his supervisor seemed rather unhelpful and supported the slimy rep. needless to say i took my business elsewhere. worst customer service experience ever, it made the dmv seem like a vacation. After YEARS of taking lots of flack over my little flip phone (believed if they're good enough for Viggo Mortensen and Anna Wintour, mine was good enough for me!) One day I stopped by to at least explore my options. I was immediately welcomed to the store by Eric, who listened to me and walked me through several phones and plans. I was impressed by his professionalism and product knowledge, and very appreciative of not being pressured because I wanted time to 'think it over'. A few weeks later I returned, because of how well I was treated at this store. I was disappointed that Eric wasn't there. But Raph helped me in the same manner - professional, knowledgeable and patient - so I finally upgraded...and evolved technologically to a simple Samsung smart phone and a plan that works for my budget. Got great customer service in the store. And great customer service by phone (needed help with a feature). Now I'm kinda' sorry I didn't make the change sooner! read more

I get here at 10am, but they still have the door locked. Someone finally let me in, and I am told I have to wait. No biggie, he says not more than about 5 minutes. 12 minutes later people who have arrived after me are being helped "because they had an appointment at 10" although it was crystal clear they arrived well after. People with no appointment are being helped and I am STILL waiting. You would think that wanting to come in and buy a phone would get people moving but not at this place. I'm not sure about the other reviews, but I have had nothing but good service. The wait time is kind of long, but it's a small store what do people expect?The employees always greet me, are very helpful and knowledgeable. I have been in the store and witnessed rude customers with unrealistic expectations. The employees are always busy and work hard. A few minutes before closing, I had to run in for a phone case and screen protector. An employee I believe was named Miguel helped me. He was very helpful. He has also helped me with a few other purchases in the past. Very nice guy. I do recommend this store. People just need to learn patience. read more

Avoid this Verizon store at all costs. Went to this store on Black Friday as it was near where I was shopping. Big mistake. Went in to get a Galaxy S8 at half price. Salesman checked on my price and confirmed it would be half price for a monthly fee of 15.75. Tried to talk me into an unlimited plan which we clearly did not need, I declined. Then he talked me into a bundle of extras- case, wireless charger and glass protector for a low price. He refused to help transfer over my data as I have always had done in the past by Verizon, just part of the service. He had me sign electronically, so I never got to see my prices. Left with a packet of paperwork. Going over my paperwork at home, saw that night that he had given me someone else's paperwork. Good grief, that means someone else has all my protected information? I pull up my bill on the computer, and to my dismay, it shows I am charged full price for the phone, and just a small discount on the extra case, wireless charger, and glass cover- not the huge discount at all. Went back to the store the next morning, questioned the bill as it showed full price, and was assured that I was getting it at half price, and the discount would show up on the bill. I discussed with the manager the bundle discount not being true to what I was quoted, and he did refund my money for all of them, which I then purchased online at a huge discount even from their "discounted bundle" What a joke. Yesterday I got my new bill, reviewed it, and indeed I was charged full price for my phone. Calling Verizon corporate for help, I learned that the 1/2 price deal I went in for and was approved for per my DISHONEST SALESMAN, was for the unlimited data plan only. He was helpful, and also took off the the upcharge the salesman also added for phone protection and cloud storage- he never once discussed it. I just returned my phone to Verizon, and was charged a 35.00 restocking fee (which corporate kindly refunded) I have asked for an official complaint to be made about this salesman, but learned it will only go back to the store. I am not done- going to write a letter to customer service at corporate, so they can investigate the salesman and manager at the location. My advice? If you have a Costco card, go there. I have had only stellar service in the past with their Verizon service. read more

i have been to this location several times but have yet to have a decent experience.. i went in to have them transfer my old phone info to my new device that i received in the mail.. when i arrived they couldn't figure out why they were not able to transfer all the info. but that isn't what bothers me, what bothers me is after the young lady who was helping me couldn't figure it out, she told me she was off and had to leave.... and then she went and helped another customer waiting. i then literally stood at the front desk and was ignored for 45 minutes while the girl who was originally helping me did all she could to not make eye contact with me. i Will never go back read more
