DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION I've been a loyal Verizon customer for a long time. When it comes time to upgrade, I sell my old phones through the service Offerup and put that money towards a new phone. Today, I met a buyer at this location. He made an appointment to verify that the phone was indeed paid off and to put lamely, a "Verizon" phone. The Verizon employee looked the phone up in their database and verified this information, it even stated "sim without restriction." However, the issue arose with the phone when it displayed as "locked" with a carrier that wasn't Verizon-or so the employee explained. He said it meant that the phone was bought from another carrier such as T-mobile or sprint which is impossible. To further prove that my phone was in fact Verizon, I suggested the buyer input his SIM card into the phone to test it. The employee assisted with placing the gentleman's SIM card and began the process of setting up. The buyer was able to make phone calls and send text messages-further proving that my phone is indeed Verizon. The employee however, said it was at the buyer's discretion to purchase my phone and informed the buyer that there was a possibility of the phone "locking up" in a few months. I've never heard this term before and when asked to elaborate what he meant, the employee could not explain. Rather than explaining the issue, the employee turned to the buyer and began attempting to sell him a new phone, ignoring my questions and my overall presence. At this point, the buyer removed his SIM card and clearly frustrated, walked out. The manager came over and I requested that they pull up my information to verify that I am a Verizon customer. The manager told me that she wasn't able to do that at this location and that I would need to call tech support. Rather than attempting to clear things up, she handed me a business card which listed tech support and moved onto the next customer. This was by far the worst experience I've had and I highly recommend that you do not come to this location unless you plain on purchasing a new phone. The employees and managers are incompetent at solving tech-related issues. Take my advice and listen to the many other 1 star reviews rather than the few 4/5 star. read more

If I could post zero stars, please be assured I would. Below is a sample of issues experienced tonight. My son has been in Europe and upon his return needed to simply get a United States sim card to use his phone. These are some examples of what occurred upon his simple request: Staff wouldn't give employee id to other Verizon employee or me; I asked for mgr-employee ignored me; I requested mgr name and district mgr-refused/ignored; Verizon employee refused to give basis as to why he couldn't activate my son's phone. (after an hour on phone with verizon telephonic support-turns out phone WAS active btw) He hen said "new policy" that they could not activate. I then asked when new policy was enacted, employee wouldn't tell me and tone became extremely angry and frustrated. Next all three employees began ridiculing my son who was standing in the physical store. The employees were even laughing and discussing the issues with my son and my phone call to other customers. Two employees extremely rude to me. Wildly condescending and unprofessional. Three employees rude to other verizon employee (trying to help us) Store staff dismissive and combative with their fellow team member. Three employees rude to other customer tonight who actually became irate and upset at their deplorable treatment of her. The Verizon telephonic employee reported what occurred (to us and her) and the complaint was immediately escalated due to severity of issues and continued and poor reputation of this particular store. I was on phone an hour and fifteen minutes to resolve a ridiculous phony "issue." My son was at store for 2 hours. WOW. EPIC EMPLOYEES IN QUESTION? "eric" "brock" and 3rd employee, also a real gem. Spent literally an hour off and on with me getting my stuff switched over from my Iphone 5S which was dead to my Iphone 6 Plus that I hadn't even bought in store. Super patient! Super helpful! I love being greeted right when I walk in, that's one thing they got right. There was a man who said hello and asked what I needed before I made it all the way into the store, which was nice. I told him I was thinking about phones and he added me to the wait list. Little did I know it was a 20 minute wait list! I told him I'd never had a smart phone before because I wanted to see what they would recommend to me. After my long wait someone finally started talking phones to me but I was shocked to find that the salesperson didn't tell me more about the phones other than how much they cost. I didn't mention I was on a budget. I was hoping he'd give me a run through of each phone and what they did , what makes this phone better than that one and so on but no such luck. I normally don't go to this location but since it was close to work I decided to handle the bill. I paid monthly bill at the kiosk and then sought out some help paying off a device. They tacked on an extra $18 on the payoff amount for a device when I ask what the extra amount was the i was told said it was for taxes and such. I paid the bill and left. When I got home, I got on chat with Verizon customer service told the agent what happened and he agreed that the amount I paid was incorrect and should not have been charged the extra $18. The agent credited the amount on the next bill. The last phone I paid off was only for the amount left with no extra fees, but that was at a different location. I would give negative stars if I could. I bought a jet pack and it haven't worked a day since I got it 3 days ago. I wanted to take it back using the 12 day satisfactory guarantee. The smart noir store manager said there would be a $50 restocking fee. She was rude and unhelpful and still didn't solve my problem. I would definitely stay away from Verizon and this store I got a response from Verizon and then I looked at all the other 1 star reviews (almost all of the reviews) and they all said the same thing. "We're sorry for your experience" BUT none of them said "can we help you work your problem" Nothing in any response said anything about solving the problem anybody had. Incredibly displeased not with the service but with one young lady in particular. She wasn't rude or unprofessional but when I came in to make a cash payment for my bill instead of processing me right away she took my name and told me that I would be helped next. She proceeded to stand there on her phone as I'm waiting to have a 5 second manner taken care of and after about 5m she tells me that there's a kiosk that I can use. She went thru lengths to get me to pay my bill in other way when I feel the energy that was used to resolve my matter could have been decreased if she had just taken my cash payment. Which ended up happening anyway. I just feel like she has this Napoleon complex which is fine but if you are a boss or want to act like a boss you have to do the small things too and not just sit on your high horse and let the small things pile up for your workers read more

Someone begrudgingly they helped with one thing and gave me a handout with instructions instead of actually helping. I've had Verizon for years, this store location is not really helpful. Manager has poor custom service skill, it's pretty much useless to schedule an appointment. (I scheduled an appointment and still had to wait an hour), I watched many other people get turned away because of their poor time management. It would be wise to have an entire afternoon free to take care of anything you need to do at this location. I have my IPAD "covered" by the Asurion plan. I have paid the monthly insurance on the IPAD for two years and when i made my claim, they charged me a deductible of $189.00, and, they then sent me the wrong replacement. The replacement was smaller and not the color of my original. I sent it back to them and now they say my IPAD is on back order and they don't know when I may receive my replacement. What a rip off. And, they are trying to sell me another policy to cover other electronic devices. Why would I buy that policy when they don't live up to my original plan. Bad. read more

I ran in on an impulse-buy to get a wireless router for my laptop. I know how lines can be at Verizon and I had about 10 minutes before I HAD to be somewhere. I got Tina who happened to not be with a customer. She patiently answered all of my questions about the wireless and went to work setting it up. Tina showed me how to work it, what to expect on my monthly bill, and how to quickly get my mail-in rebate. I was out of the store in 10 minutes.... That is a great experience! read more

Went in looking for a new phone and had one of the worst experiences I've had in a long time! My salesman Alex was pushy, and could care less about helping me! After asking at the most 10 questions all Alex could say " is that the one you want?" It was like a game of chess, I would ask a question and he would respond "is that the one you want?" I've been in sales a long time and know the importance of asking for the sale, but this was the ultimate of rudeness! Im not surprised this place is 3 star it should be 1 star.. The customer service here is terrible! Brian the manger hasn't been very helpful and was very rude. On my first visit here I had to fax some paperwork to corporate office due to fraud (someone opened a phone line under my name) after they made all the necessary copies I asked him if they needed a copy of my license and I was told no. Few days passes by when I received a phone call from version needing additional information.. Guess what they needed? Yep, a copy of my license so I'm back in the store having them fixing the issue that wasn't suppose to be an issue to start with. Not surprising when I read all the bad reviews, well deserved Verizon. The manager refused to come over and help out. You have employees out front throwing a football while my contact is unable to fix my phone and in fact lost my data. I could go on however, the fact is Verizon does not train their employees, they are simply told to do their best as I was told "our job is to sell phones and plans, not to service problems". Its called baptism by fire at our phones expense. Save yourself the aggravation, give Walmart a try, I did and I am not going back to the Verizon Store. Mixed review. First experience was, in-store, good. The sales associate was awesome and hooked me up with a free upgrade to unlimited data. UNTIL. My bill came. Wasnt free. It took me, no joke, FIVE MONTHS of calling, being put on extremely long hold times (38 mins, 47 mins, 54 mins) and being transferred to one person tot he next, some of whom said they couldnt help and I was locked in till I finally, like I said,months later, reached the 2nd supervisor I had to speak with, Steve Williams (Steve Williams 4 btw) before the issue was finally rectified. Fast forward to my breaking up with Apple once and for all and getting a Samsun Galaxy S8. I headed to the same store, filled with trepidation, worried the same BS would occur and was met by a cheerful, happy go lucky dude named Jerime (pr Jeremy). He was patient, helpful, informative and didnt push sales on me. His name is Jerime Dunn and if you have any needs for your Verizon phone, I cant say enough good things about this dude; I left a customer service experience in a better mood than when I entered the store. THAT is how customer service should be! I own my own biz and know how customers should be treated- like they are giving you money. Because they are. The manager Jen was incredibly rude, unknowledgeable and unhelpful. She stated that their store only gets people online and does not help customers setup phones or transfer data from an old phone to a new phone. She then proceeded to try and do so. She did not allow me inside the store even tho it is 113 degrees outside. She said their store phone is disconnected so they cannot receive calls. THE VERY WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED especially when dealing with a sensitive situation as a telephone which one can hardly live without. BEWARE!!! We are long time Verizon wireless customers and unfortunately due to what I call lies told to us by Verizon corporate and Verizon's store manager we are left with no alternative but to terminate our relationship. After being loyal customers for many many years. Our relationship with Verizon took a severe turn for the worse after being told by a representative from corporate one thing and then something totally opposite from a store manager. I'm not sure when the disconnect occurred between corporate and store manager but this company just can't seem to get their stories straight. Very upset to have to leave Verizon but over the last few weeks iv been told nothing but great things from peers and fellow business owners about T-MOBILE and as hard as it's going to be we are making the switch. Like I told the rep on the phone we will fight any future bills they plan on sending and we are returning all original equipment to the store as Verizon wireless was the one who broke contract. I would love to go into further detail but it's best I get legal advice as the consumer has rights. Contracts are to be atleast it's my understanding, upheld by all parties that enter into agreement. Verizon wireless in my eyes has failed to do so. I will say the most hurtful of it all is going into the store on 44th street to pick up a new added device to our account we did over the phone with corporate only to be told their are additional fees and fees and fees. Our account is not past due as we been complying with our debt monthly. Being such a long time customer it's even a bigger slap in the face to have an answer to a question delivered in such a manner it leaves you second guessing if your the one at fault. Fortunately for me I was able to see a new potential customer ask the same question and get such a warm inviting response. I treat others how I would like to be treated and expect atleast an effort from those in customer service to reciprocate. Please heed my advise based on my review that you should take serious consideration before walking into Verizon. The staff is friendly in this store! However, I would not and I repeat would NOT pay for the additional monthly phone protection plan. They lure you in with a $17 monthly fee and promise you (3) free repairs at a $29.99 deductible upon this service. The kicker is when you go to use the protection service they send you to a third-party company called Asurion! They send you through a loophole to verify your identity, faxing over papers, and filling out paperwork. Once they approve your claim without viewing your phone, they can deem non-replaceable, and then you have to pay $199 deductible! Excuse me what? Here is where my frustration kicks in! My phone has one small crack and works just fine I would just like to use my plan to have it fixed. I have been with Verizon over a 1 year and a half and have paid $17 each month (which totals $306) for this plan and now you want to charge me an additional $199 to have it replaced when it actually just needs a new glass! Ridiculous!! Then to add insult to injury Asurion offers no service or support, they will send you to an automative line or bot messenger with the same responses. I have never had such a horrible experience in my life!!! I got my phone stolen and i came in to file the claim and also turn on my old phone I was in the store for 2 1/2 hours. I felt very unappreciated as a customer i was passed on to employee to employee with my original person never coming back to check on me. As they offered other guest who had not been there as long as me water, I was asked nothing! Finally after great frustration of not being helped and not having a phone the manager assisted me! This is the reason they get a start all she went out of her way to make my awful day a tad bit better. Verizon doesn't deal with insurance which is dumb btw but she made copies for me and scanned since I had nothing to use. She made sure to let me know how the process was going to work. I would like to say I was very impressed with the service I received when I went in to this store to get my iPhone fixed. Although the store was packed when we got there the manager approached us right as we walked in the door and told us how many people were ahead of us and how long it would be. They were very speedy at helping the 5 customers ahead of me and I only had to wait around 5 minutes when she gave me a 15 minute estimation. My SIM card went bad in my phone and they replaced it at no cost. As they were fixing my phone the employees engaged in conversation with me, making me feel very welcomed. I must say that this was my first experience at a verizon store that I had an excellent experience! I would recommend this location to any existing verizon customer!! read more

I found myself in Scottsdale so went to this Verizon instead of the one on 16th & Camelback, which is nearer my home. I took a look at Yelp, and was prepared for the worst, but turned out just fine. I needed a new case for my Galaxy 5s phone and to return a charging cable. It took a few minutes before I was served, but the guy who helped me went to the back to find cases for the Galaxy5s, which were no longer on display. He brought out a selection, I chose one, he took care of the exchange and I was out of there. read more

OH. My Gosh. This was the worst customer experience I have EVER had anywhere at anytime!!!! Truly maddening! My salesperson, Naomi, literally lied, I mean Blatantly made answers up to the questions I asked. Such as: what is the difference between the Google Pixel 3XL and the 3aXL? Her response was "the color". When I pointed out that there was a $500.00 difference she continued straight faced by saying "oh, um, this is an entree level phone and this is a higher level phone" . Naturally I wanted to know what that meant and how the phones differed so I asked her and she responded by saying "it's exactly like it sounds, this is a more basic phone and this one is a better model". Um, what????? So my husband intervened and asked:" so are the cameras the same?" She said "no, the XL had a better camera". We were looking for clarification so we asked her to specify a bit at which point she finally got frustrated with us calling her out on her absolute BS and said"let me print info on both out so you can see them." Great, the most decent thing out of her mouth yet. Of course she was not capable of doing this task either so we went behind the desk where another employee ,Rachel, was also standing and she chimed in with a very simple explanation of the differences between the 2 phones. In this explanation she pointed out that the cameras we're EXACTLY the same (a lie Naomi spewed in an effort to appear like she knew what she was talking about). This saga continued, trust me .After I purchased the phone she put it in a bag and tried to send me on my way....without even trying to turn it on for me to show me it worked. When I asked her to get it all up and running she reluctantly obliged. She could NOT get my service turned on and she was trying to hide her incompetence from her co-workers so we struggled for a good 30 minutes doing this..after I begged the manager Greg to help me get my new phone up and running he figured it out and we were out the door 5 minutes later. I am a compassionate person and totally understand that everyone starts somewhere and if Naomi was new to this job and was unsure of the answers to my questions and simply said "hey, I'm not sure, let me go find out for you, " i would've supported her completely. All day. But......instead she made up answers with a straight face and was condescending at the same time. I would NEVER, EVER go back to this store! read more
