Would NOT RECOMMEND Verizon. After having the iPhone 16 for 7 weeks it just stopped working- no cause, just dead. When I took it to the Verizonn store I was told they would temporarily send me a new phone to use, but I had to pay $30 to personally mail the phone back to be fixed and then the store put an $800 hold on my credit card in case I don't return the "loaner" phone. Absolutely horrible experience at store # 13926 in Palm Harbor, FL. My father who was elderly and had dementia was being charged for years by Verizon for phone service that he NEVER used. When I spoke with customer service on the phone, the representative instructed me to go to the local Verizon store and that we'd receive some credit; when I arrived I was greeted by an extremely rude male employee who showed ZERO empathy and wasn't willing to check on the notes in my father's account. Rude AND unwilling to do his job.... Pathetic. Not only that, Verizon continued to charge my father AFTER HE HAD DIED, and the employee wasn't willing to do anything about it. Disgusting. Jarrod helped us switch a friend from ATT @$85 plus a month to $69 a month. He received good help from local ATT, but Michigan ATT loaded up his plan so he was paying much more with insurance and support (another monthly charge of $11.99) without the Veteran discount that ATT offers & for which he qualifies. To get that, he was going to have to wait for 2-3 billing cycles. Not acceptable. Jarod also offered the $5 discount with autopay from checking, so now he's down to $64 a month for unlimited text, talk, and data. He's thrilled! The store is large, and has a lot of accessories and phones. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. It's easy to get into and out of the store, especially because of the light at Nebraska & US 19 S. This is our "go to" store when we have questions about our plan. My husband and I went to the Verizon store to upgrade to new iPhones and a new Verizon phone plan. When we walked in, two men said they'd be with us in a few minutes and they walked back and worked with the people who they were talking to. We looked at phones and read about plans for the next 15 minutes and a third man came in and asked if anyone came by to see us. We said they dropped by to say they'd be back, but were still working with other people. He seemed rather defensive and said that there were only two people working, so of course they'd be working with people in front of us. We said it was fine and he asked why our names weren't on the IPad, which I can only guess is their appointment system or queue for the line. Anyway, I gave him my phone number and name. We told him why we were there and he said we were wasting time. We should be asking about plans or ordering phones online or by phone. My husband caught his name tag and it said he was the Manager and this was the Verizon store. Call me crazy, but if this is a brick and mortar store and the Verizon name is on it, one would think it's there to help customers purchase items and guide them through making the right choice for their needs, depending on the products offered. Went in to add a third line to our account and increase the data for our plan. The rep greeted me quickly and took care of my plan changes in a simple, relaxed manner. Compared to past experiences, I was surprised at how easy the process was. He even let me know about a rebate I was entitled to because I'd added the third line with an existing device. Verizon employees used to be well trained. That apparently has changed. After 3 visits, including talking to the manager, they were unable to help. In fact, they made it worse. I then went to Best Buy. They were able to resolve our problems. They are better trained than the Verizon employees. read more

Total incompetence from the manager to the techs. I went there because I had a problem with my iPhone and was told they don't repair phones. I then said that my warranty was valid until 5/21 but was told by the "tech specialist" that that was not a Verizon warranty but an Apple warranty so I would have to go to an Apple Store. I advised that I bought the phone there and also bought the insurance fraud m Verizon but his response was basically not his problem. This was probably one of the worst customer focused store I've experienced. The tech support is a joke they're only there to sell you phones and insurance not to help their customers. I can honestly say that I would rather wait in line at the DMV than shop in any Verizon store. The experience is ALWAYS frustrating. Today, I traded in an old phone that we recently replaced with a new Google Pixel 2 phone. According to the promotional mailer I received, we were to receive an $85 trade in credit for the old phone. The store personnel confirmed this as correct. When the trade in was processed, it only came up as $47. The store personnel indicated they couldn't do anything about it and that I would need to contact Customer Service. I contacted Customer Service via the online chat function on My Verizon. The agent kept me on the chat for almost 20 minutes before redirecting me to call the Verizon ITSC. I waited on hold with them for 5 minutes before being told that they only work with Verizon employees and they would need to transfer me back to Customer Service. After another hold, the Customer Service rep indicated that he would need to transfer me to the Device Trade-in Department. Yet another hold got me to an agent that seem perplexed as to why I had been transferred to him. He also indicated that he didn't show me as an authorized administrator on my own account and he couldn't help me. Before I could scream, I received and email from some unknown source at Verizon indicating that they had processed a $38 credit to my account to correct the original problem. The service here is hit or miss. I honestly do not understand why there are always 10 people working and still there is a long wait to talk to someone, even if the question is simple. I avoid coming to the store and typically just call on the phone but every once in awhile you have to just go in. This is a true Verizon store and not an "authorized retailer" so you know you are actually talking to a true Verizon employee. One of the girls put on a glass screen protector for me and did such a terrible job that it came off two days later, chipped, sliced my finger open, and caused me to drop the phone and shatter my screen. Guess who has to pay the almost $200 to fix the screen? Oh yeah, me. And she told me when I bought the screen protector that there was a guarantee that if your phone screen broke they would replace it for free. Guess that was a lie. Overall, work with the reps over the phone first and only come to the store when you absolutely have to and buy the phone itself from Best Buy because the insurance and customer service is way better. read more
