Was very skeptical about going to the Milford location due to the reviews. Unfortunately the reviews were correct which means management is okay with these tactics. I had made an appointment online, stated the exact phone we would be purchasing and had verified that the Milford location had this model in stock. The positive of this visit was that we were taken care of immediately upon arrival and the employee was friendly. However, then this happened: when I stated what make/model phone we were going to purchase (an inexpensive phone for a relative), I was told it wasn't in stock, I said I had already verified that the model was in stock, & after further checking, he "found" the phone we wanted to purchase. We told him we didn't want any insurance or extras. We also wanted to purchase the phone outright & was told we could pay partial & the rest would go on our plan which we could pay off after a month. I argued that we wanted to pay for it outright and we could back out of the deal and order/pay for the phone online. He then checked with a higher up & finally agreed we could pay for it up front. It got even better when we discovered a few days later that insurance had been added & the plan changed to a more expensive plan on that phone line without our knowledge. Also signed up for basic voicemail & it got changed to the premium voicemail. Phone calls to customer service and promises that everything was fixed were time consuming & frustrating especially when these issues were not fixed. We had to fix the issues ourselves online. We have been Verizon customers for 25+ years and all have these issues, lack of fixing these issues, and underhanded ways of doing business make us question why we would remain customers. Trying to make sales goals doesn't mean taking advantage of customers and making unauthorized changes to accounts. Very unethical. read more

Reps at the Milford, CT location are very dishonest and it is very disheartening as a 7+ loyal member with this service. Last month my dad and I presented to this location to upgrade my phone. After talking with the rep Luis, we were convinced to upgrade two phones and add two lines to get the current promotion. We were under impression that our plan would stay the same and bill would increase by a few dollars. Soon after, we discovered we were completely lied to. Our plan had been changed unbeknownst to us, which resulted in the loss of many valuable services and perks. It took over a month, on and off long hour calls with service reps to finally get to the source of the problem: we were swindled by Luis, my guess is so that he could get a great commission. Although I'm grateful that one rep took the time to finally rectify the issue, I am extremely disappointed with what we have experienced. Called ahead to pick up a black iPhone X. Walked in, confirmed once again the black iPhone X was still available. They said yep! Waited 30 minutes, was given my bag, and walked out. Discovered once home I was provided a silver. Brought it back to replace for a black at which point they stated they are out. I purchased yesterday a wireless network extenderI device for approx $ 250 to improve wireless reception in our home. On the Long Island Sound side our reception has been terrible. In the back of the house it works pretty well. I went mid morning and got taken care of quickly. It took me nearly 4 hours of trouble shooting with Verizon and Optimum ( who supplies my internet modum). Fortunately, I eventually got put through to Phyllis, who is a higher level of tech support at Verizon. She stuck with me for an hour to sort it out. THE PROBLEM WAS THE VERIZON DEVICE WAS NOT REGISTERED IN THE VERIZON SYSTEM. NEEDED TO INPUT THE MAC CODE!!. How could the Verizon rep not tell me this when I left the store?!! Why did the first line of tech support at Verizon not know this. Now the device seems to be working. Phyllis will call back tomorrow to ensure all is working. Nice job Verizon phone tech support. Absolutely awful customer service at this location! Staff continued to argue and make up excuses for a charge I should not have gotten on my bill even after they told me they couldn't do anything from the store. Told me I had to call *611 and would not call for me to help me out. I work wireless at a third party retailer and I can do at least that to help an upset customer. This is a corporate store, there's really no excuse for the treatment I received. Had I been thinking more clearly I would have taken names and reported the employees who argued with me. They didn't even ask for any kind of pass code or authorization so I feel my security has been compromised. Terrible. Absolutely terrible. I was told to bring my fios modem to this store by Verizon corporate and was told they would take the modem and return it as I was moving. I was told that we don't do that here and I needed to call Verizon again and tell them what the problem is. I asked for the manager and was told he would not help me to find out where I should take it. I always have a great experience with Verizon but I always rate my experiences good or bad. About 3pm on June 7, 2017 I had a family member go to location to replace my cord for my cellphone. It started raveling year to date so won't charge my phone. The male rep she spoke to explained it damage etc so wanted nothing to do with it said he has one never looked like that I had it a year not a few months both nothing ran over it. They can bill my account great so she's not an authorized user if I was able to go in so would not send her...He/Joe did NOT ASK me anything regarding my accounts passcode or billing he wasn't interested in helping or adding her he wasn't making a sale...did not look to see if warrant was still eligible etc...Very poor customer service skills at location the whole point of ordering online is the same concept if I called Verizon....it will be on Yelp as well so all to see be very careful dealing with some of the rep.. read more

I would have a problem with my phone and the techs in the rear of the store would be happy to help me and would satisfy my needs everytime! Times have changed! Worst customer service ever. We bought an iphone, when we got home we opened the box to set it up but they gave us the wrong color. We went to the store to exchange it for the right one and they said Jay the worker who sold us the phone does not remember so they have to charge us 50$ to exchange the phone even tho we came back less than 24 hours !!! I have been with the VW since 2002 and always considered it to be the best wireless network which combines quality, costumer service, etc. The costumer service through the years has been a very positive experience. NOT ANYMORE. My phone couldn't connect to data, lost all the photos and videos and was getting an annoying message popping up every second. I went there on Wednesday, August 29th, at 10 am to get help. Immediately I noticed a different vibe in the room and the associates who simply did not care. I explained, the associate spent couple minutes trying to press some keys, etc., doing it quite rough which had surprised me, and said that I needed a new phone since there was nothing to be done with this one. OK, I thought, if I am told at the official VW wireless store there was nothing to be done to fix the phone, so it be! Next day I got a new phone at BestBuy. The same day, I started googling my issue with the old phone and found the solution called Hard Factory Reset. So I did it. THE PHONE WORKED LIKE NEW. ALL THE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS AND EVERYTHING ELSE CAME BACK (SIM CARD). How in the world it was possible that I've been told there was nothing to be done to fix my old phone? How low can the VW costumer service at the stores fall to even imagine such situation? I must say that after I called the VW I got the best service and understanding I could ask for. They apologized for unprofessionalism of people in the store and suggested I try to return the new phone to BestBuy. So I did having pain a $35 restocking fee wich was credited back into my account. BRAVO to the Verozon Wireless phone consumer service and SHAME to the store in North Haven. Verizon's service is excellent. Great reception super fast 4G. That is the only good things about Verizon. Caveat Emptor: If you don't know what you are buying before you walk in the front door, don't buy it. They seem to try to trick you into signing new contracts without explaining the additional fee's, ie, data, extra line, etc. etc. None was explained to the customer. This is probably the worst retail store ever. There is absolutely no customer service priority here. We came here to return our old phones to get the credit. We were greeted by a gentleman who took our name and number. We then waited for about an hour. We had seen a few people come and go already. As we waited we see an associate go into the restroom with his phone obviously to hide in making a personal call. We also see the greeter sitting down and dozing in and out of sleep. The associate that helped us was Tony who actually did a very good job and recommend him if you do need help otherwise I'd stay away from this place. Umair the "solutions manager" asks us what the problem is and just as we are about to tell him, he walks away to help someone else. Tony who was helping us even apologized for his behavior. Umair seemed to be a problem manager rather than a solutions manager. For a retail store there isn't much product in the store either. Also they are big in trying to sell you personal hotspots.
