STAY AWAY! If I could give zero stars I WOULD Absolutely terrible experience. Not a single Xfinity customer care person wanted to help. I was bounced around repeatedly, given different stories, and got ZERO response from the store manager. First I was told the manager was in the store. Minutes later, I was told he suddenly "wasn't available" and no one could get him. This is basic customer service, and they completely failed. No urgency, no accountability, no effort to resolve anything. It's clear the staff is either poorly trained or simply doesn't care. I walked out with no answers and wasted time. This Review Relates to Comcast Online Customer Support. Horrendous, especially in time of need. The recent storm on the CT Shoreline caused significant damage and loss of power and cable/internet disruption. During the recovery Eversource responded quickly and within 24 hours we had two trees cleared and power restored. Comcast on the other hand took an entire 7 days! During which time I was blatantly lied to, misled and misinformed by no less than 8 different customer service representatives and 2 supervisors. Commitments of appointments were fictitious day after day cancelled and pushed further and further off. I feel their performance is nothing short of criminal. The lies offered as to why the delay were outrageous, including the requirement of seeking federal approval to reconnect the cable line to my home! Absolutely an embarrassment and yet from what I read of other cable providers, rather consistent. We as consumers deserve better, much better! An absolute waste of money and time not to mention the frustration. That being said, the actual line technician that did arrive today was tremendous, early, cordial and most competent. Not good is giving the Branford location too much credit. I was given a quote yesterday which I felt was too good to be true. Three NEW iPhones, they would pay off my existing phones, and I would save over $1000. a year on service. I gave them my credit card, license, all kinds of personal info and they said they would LOCK IN THIS QUOTE till the next day. Today I go back and they said no, you missed the deadline. I recently went to this store on Universal Drive in North Haven, Ct. and dealt with a service rep named Vernell. This young man was wonderful to work with and very knowledgeable when it came to answering my account questions. He showed me all the different ways I could manage my account and also helped me cut costs. This man was a 10 in my book. Usually visits to these stores is a long arduous task, but not this time. Internet speed varied by time of day. Price kept increasing way above the rate of inflation year after year. Bill included a myriad of Obscure junk fees. Phone customer service rep very rude and will not give you any deal on the price. They won't give you any discount unless you're on welfare. Finally was able to switch and save at least $130 a month and so glad I did. One final bad experience with this company was the approximate 45 minutes just to cancel their way overpriced service in their crappy store. After a year and a half of dismal service changing out modems equipment my service was intermittent frozen and never repaired. At that point being a customer since 1995 I chose to close the account. I returned the equipment and received a receipt. Told me my bill Was complete and I needed not to make any more payments. I explain the situation that everything documented and I still was referred to a collection agency to poor information not following through by Xfinity/Comcast. I would not recommend their service to anyone at this point, they sell product that does not work, and put the on the customer to switch equipment out. Have a great day! I am celebrating today, now that I have FINALLY rid myself of COMCAST, and Xfinity. For years, the only other choice we had was Frontier- which has even WORSE ratings, especially with customer service, so that was a "no". We suffered with Comcast's overcharging for speeds that were a lie, we were promised much higher speeds, and never got even close to the numbers we were supposed to have. I called them MANY MANY times to try and fix this. It was never fixed- and what broke the camel's back was talking to an upper tier tech who was an outright rude jerk. Now, GoNetSpeed has moved into the neighborhood with fiber optics, and I jumped ship as fast as you can say "YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!". Their prices are lower, and their speeds MUCH faster, on both upload and download. Buh-bye COMCAST. read more

Wow. I have never been treated so rudely before by a customer service representative. Carmen Morales, you should really consider other employment. The gentleman at the door was great. He asked me what brought me in today, I said I wanted to talk about my internet bill, he directed me to Carmen. I followed her to her service desk and I said, "hey, how are you doing today?" "Whats the phone number." She responded in a deadpan way, completely ignoring my greeting. I gave it, she found and confirmed my account. "What did you want to do today?" I said, "well my bill just jumped up $20 and -" Before I could even finish she cut me off and said "promotional rates ended so rates went up" in the most dismissive, tired and exasperated tone I have ever heard from a rep. I should have left just then. But I asked if there was a way I could continue to pay the same rate for the same service I had been getting previously (keep in mind, my bill was $30 in 2017, $50 in 2018, now they want $70!). "No." No offer to look into promotions. No suggestion for a different package. Absolutely no effort to assist me in meeting my goal today. Carmen - I hope your manager and the corporate office see this (I will be contacting them separately anyway). I get it - cable companies are crooks and raise bills all the time, that's "the game." But from the get-go she didn't want to help me. She ignored my greeting, she was rude and cut me off, and made me feel like my business meant nothing to her. Well, congrats! I will be dropping Comcast thanks to Carmen. I knew there was a cheaper (but lesser) service option, which I was willing to downgrade to if there was nothing they could do, but I hoped the customer service rep would at least TRY to work with me. It's like visiting a small bootleg Apple store. I know who Xfinity/Comcast has been watching. Check in upon arrival, just like Apple, but there isn't always someone continuously there to tell us what to do. That person has to bring all of the returned equipment to the back leaving ppl that walk in standing there like wtf? So once you are checked in, your name goes on the screen so you know how many ppl are ahead of you(anxiety) and had to ask where the screens were because they were so small and blended into the background of the busy ornate store. And I guess were supposed to be checking out the services, devices, and electronics while we wait, just like the apple store, but I was so NOT interested. What I did watch was some of the employees hoping and praying that certain ones didn't call our name. Everyone doesn't have a personality made for a customer service job. The two stars (instead of 1) comes because of the random seating throughout the store. We were actually able to sit while we waited. That's the only upside to this new location, we didn't have to stand in line while we waited, but we still had to wait... and wait... and wait... and wait.. and wait. Reminded me of the dmv. I did appreciate the apology for the wait before, during, and after waiting for so long. But My question is how do you make ppl wait for so long but don't have a bathroom for customers to use? Telling ppl to go to the yogurt place next door is not really acceptable. Hopefully I won't have to go back here, but if i do, next time I know to bring snacks!!! read more

This review is NOT about any store specifically, but COMCAST XFINITY as a service.... If i could give 0 Stars, i would... If you have issues w comcast, please look at this review for more info on how to address them! I called comcast up to request a refund for TV services that i NEVER had which amounted to 160$ over the 2 yr period which is as far back as i can view their bills. They gave me a whole run around saying the best they could do is 60$ credit, they had to request a supervisor to do more, bla bla bla NONSENSE! This was on top of the fact that they had no answer as to why or how i was being charged for a tv box which was never ordered nor was there any such service being provided! So we ended up taking the credit for now, and we were directed to another dept to request the balance. These ppl i ended up talking to were actually trying to debate the fact that i am "just now" contacting them for this refund and how its the customers responsibility to know their bill....WHAT?! As if i signed up for something and forget about it! I was in shock! The absolute audacity! I told them I never signed up for tv services, and on top of that, i have a degree of faith that i'm being charged for what i actually signed up for! It was a whole back and forth! I dealt with 2 ppl who had this attitude that it was my fault and they "dont dispute charges past 120 days" per their policy, BULL-JIVE! They ended up saying a bunch of nonsense of how they cannot refund us the remaining 80$.... As if comcast doesnt make nearly 2,000$ off my account alone annually at that point! Long story short, the rep referred me to the bottom of our bill where there is an agency called PURA who regulates utilities and serves as a mediator when there are disputes. I literally submitted a complaint and the next business day was contacted by comcast who told me PURA contacted them and approved my request for the remaining refund. Comcast refunded me on the spot. Thats only 1 part. I ended up getting Frontier and then cancelling comcast internet, where i did receive email from them saying my internet was now cancelled and my new estimated bill would be 42$ / month, although i would have a credit of 79$, therefore i should have almost 2 months of free home security services as a result of the credit....Sounds good finally but NOPE! I sold my old modem a few weeks ago, the person just contacted me today saying he was told by comcast the modem is being tied to another mac address and cannot be used even after resetting it. OK... So low and behold, comcast is STILL charging me for internet! Not only that, they have completely botched the bill, it went from my march statement of -79$ to april statement saying "past due 67$" and new balance of 200$ !!!! Incredible, these clowns at comcast cannot be serious! Now i just spoke w them (after a LOT of frustration dealing w their stupid automated service).. *TIP* Go on the website or their app and go to the xfinity chat assistant and type "request a call". It will give the option to have comcast call you, thats the best way to get a live person on the phone and it took only a few mins. Even after all the above, i wasn't motivated enough to write this review and share the awful experience... up until today, the below is what i dealt with today... So i ended up talking to a rep who basically said they DON'T see a cancellation on their end, we are STILL being charged, and the customer retention dept is the only ones who can make the needed changes (refund/ cancellation). The rep also said we cannot have the home security WITHOUT the internet... Which is a question i had INITIALLY when i cancelled. Now i do have Frontier internet which provides the connection but comcast seems to be trying to strong arm us into paying for internet although i technically am able to have their home security alone, it operates fine, but they are being greedy. I attached the bills (just the charges) and also highlighted the PURA info for whoever needs to know. read more

Even though I signed up for a package that had a promo which included "FREE professional installation" they charged me a $60 installation fee anyway. Their excuse was that I had apparently signed paperwork that said I agreed to installation charges. I was chatting with a rep for 30+ minutes before the issue was fixed and I was refunded the $60. Visited the service center to return my equipment on Sunday afternoon. The store front and the inside are both nice and welcoming. But 2 stars for the loooooooong wait just for a return. There's a check-in counter right by the door with a tiny sign. I'd say 90% of first-timers miss it. There are about 6 customer service booths but only about a third manned by an agent. About halfway through the wait, the other agents decided to help in. From that point, turnover was pretty quick. Thankfully, after almost an hour of waiting, I was finally accommodated by a very chirpy and upbeat guy. He was super nice and helpful. I'd say 5 stars for the service alone but overall experience is a downer :( read more

The customer service people are very friendly, BUT... the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. I spoke to FIVE different people FIVE different times and went into their store in Milford THREE times before I got an appointment. I got different information each time I talked to someone. They outsource 90% of their work, so you never know if you're talking to a Frontier employee or not. My late father had a balance on the account and then switched to Comcast. (I see why). Every time I tried to set up a new account I got different information regarding the past due balance. Some said I had to pay it. Some said I didn't have to pay it. The customer service people are not trained well at all. If it weren't for the fabulous intro package I'd have never signed on with them. read more

I wish I could rate Xfinity service as less than zero. It is never working and you can never get anyone on the phone. This has become a worse problem as time goes on. At one time, you could reach someone to lodge a complaint. At this time, you are given a runaround and your issue never gets resolved. They are extremely expensive and a rip off in my opinion. Do not input address in your GPS! Siri will tell you to get out of your car on I-95 S or drive down the dead end to the truck yard. If you're taking 95 northbound get off exit 9 (montowese) and make a left, then a right on Universal Drive. cruise down until you see a plaza with Ruby Tuesdays and Wendy's. make that turn and you'll see a Buffalo Wild Wings and AT&T-- xfinity is tucked in there. All things considered, good service from a friendly and professional staff. I came in to exchange my fossil of a cable box from the old crown street location and was handed a sleek new box and remote at no cost. Mark was very knowledgeable and talked me through the setup. I am very pleased with xfinity's nee X1 platform. The remote even has voice control. read more

Worst customer service ever. Came in on a Saturday and there was 3 workers with about 20 customers inside waiting to be helped. After about a 30 minute wait a women called me up and when I asked about the mobile service she told me I could not switch my carrier even though that is absolutely false information. Absolutely appalling service. Would give 0 stars if I could. Moved to town this weekend and been in an extreme rush. Got on the phone yesterday and signed up for their top tier service. Desperate to have my internet set up for essential work-related reasons--and unable to come in tomorrow morning as I fly out for an out-of-state job first thing very early--JUST made it to the store with time to spare. The door was still open, and customers were STILL being helped inside. As a fully paying subscriber all they had to do was walk to the back, hand me my equipment and say goodnight. Instead I was refused service, pushed outside, locked out the door and threatened by "security." I called Xfinity customer service directly and got on the phone with a "supervisor" who was attempting to contact this store which I was waiting outside of. She explained to me she could not get in contact with any of her employees who were, by the way still helping customers inside and ignoring me standing out in the cold on my phone. Must have been extremely embarrassing for this so-called supervisor. In the end I got absolutely nowhere, no help from anyone, and now I'm paying for internet that I can't use. So I will now be searching for ANY other comparable internet service assuming Xfinity doesn't already have their monopoly on coverage in this region. I'm serious. You'll get better service at the DMV. Xfinity needs to seriously reconsider their customer service model and who their hire to represent them. Beyond terrible. read more

Tried to get Xfinity mobile service on Saturday 22nd 2020. When I got home my cell phone was not working. Called Xfinity service about 20 times between Saturday and Tuesday. No one knew what was happening. my call was transferred to so many different people. Many just hung up on me. On Wednesday I cancelled the service and went back to Verizon. Phone worked for 18 hours and now Xfinity has taken back my number and will not release it. What type of company is this?! DO NOT TRY AND GET MOBILE SERVICE THROUGH XFINITY!!!!! read more
