Walked in and not a single person greeted us even tho there was about 9 workers bumping into each other. We spend hundreds a month and they treat their customers like they are at the DMV. Don't Come here, try the dolson Ave store instead. The manager here behaves like a petulant child and gives you attitude like someone from the projects. Please save yourself the annoyance and the 1hr+ wait time for the manager to give you attitude and dismiss your needs. Zero stars, nobody wanted to do their job that's why they don't look at you in the eyes the whole time you're there. Having some issues with my iPhone 13 SIM card. Luck of the draw I got Franklin who was an expert at solving issues like mine. He had me fixed by activating the e-sim feature. This phone was on life support (SOS) mode whe I got there and in no time I was fixed and on my way out the door. read more

Getting in contact with this store via phone was an endless task. I kept getting sales for all Verizon products or some other irrelevant option. My only goal in reaching the store at this time was to see if i had left my gloves there. I'm still waiting on this call for a response; I've been Waiting for over 31 minutes for a phone rep to answer. I give up!!! Earlier this afternoon, when we went to have a phone set up because the online appointment option said set up/ troubleshooting. However, we were quickly informed that they do not set up phones. I had a great experience this week at the Orange plaza store after a disastrous experience at the Orangeburg, NY store. I was greeted the moment I walked in and sent directly over to an associate. Jordan listened to my needs (which were very, very basic). I needed a flip phone with a basic service plan for my father who went into assisted living. Jordan got me the phone I needed, with a very reasonable plan. He didn't try to over sell anything . I was out the door with a brand new plan in under 15 mins! Very happy!! read more

If you have an emergency with your phone expect a very long wait time if you don't have an appointment which are usually taken up for the day. Rip off city. Was lied to by the salesman Katelyn O'neil. First she said our military discount would be added when I purchased 3 phones and added 3 lines that didn't happen. She said that we would get the gift cards for adding the lines she lied about that because she says d she would take care of that. She told us if we did atomic pay it would lower our bill we asked even with a credit card she says that was a lie. She said that thirty nine dollars a month was a family insurance plan and its not. My daughters phone stopped charging I called for a claim and was put on hold five times and told the phone is under warranty then come to find out that the insurance only covers three lines not five and they wanted a extra ten dollars a month. So Monday after I get the store information I'll be filing a complaint with the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. Stay away from this place far away. read more

I went to this store at 2PM on 11/28. As I was walking to the door, 2 customers walked out along with an employee. He said the store was closed. I might add, there were customers inside. When asked why not adhere to the posted hours the employee responded that if I must know, "someone had COVID." I'm pretty sure that was just a sorry excuse, but if not, were all customers alerted to this possible exposure? Should'nt all employees also need to quarantine? The Verizon on 160 Dolson provides awful customer service as well. I just bought a phone which malfunctioned after a month and a half. They wouldn't replace it. Customer service is rotten, they will not take Anyone through my experience on 3 separate occasions, All I wanted to do is exchange a phone case for the phone that They ordered wrong to begin with, And have the screen protector put on my new one. They told me by appointment only.. Since each store is independently owned, I couldn't go Anywhere else. They have Now lost customers. My first experience with them, They would Not take customers at all saying they had Nobody to help us, Yet, the store was empty of customers, And 4 associates working. This was just a couple of weeks ago. Then when we went in with our appointment, they ordered the Wrong phone, to which again, they would take us by Appointment Only to make the correction on Their mistake! After about an hour on the phone with an Amazing Customer Service representative named Leslie, she ordered me the Correct phone, and was even Nice about it! Yay! The Middletown Verizon has extremely bad customer service, when each time they could have said, I am sorry, we will fix our mistake, but, to give us an Appointment Only option each time is Unacceptable when They messed up my order Not once, Not twice but 3 times. Verizion sent me here a with a exploded battery issue was told it was a assurion issue spoke to assurion on the phone while in the parking lot they asked to speak to someone inside so when i went back in they told me they wouldn't talk to them as the guy was standing around he said o I am with a customer when the wasn't. Went to store to check out new phones. Spoke with the guy who greeted customers. He told me where the phones were but never took my information. After 45 minutes when no one came up to me, I realized they had a new sign-in system and he never put me on it. I went back to him but he said I now had to wait for everyone else. After 20 minutes, I ran out of time and had to leave before I could get a new phone. This store used to be the best in the area. TERRIBLE...BEWARE THIS STORE AND VERIZON...foolishly switched from Sprint believing the network coverage would be better...bought 2 new Galaxy Note 8 phones and opened a business account...This store bungled everything possible, including the Samsung Promotion, which, added to multiple billing errors, resulted in $860 in overcharges...Both the store and Verizon are rude, dismissive and either incapable of, or unwilling to, resolve these issues...and because we are on auto pay, Verizon, apparently will happily go on stealing money not due them...and our days are filled with endless, fruitless, phone calls, emails and store visits...so, please learn from our cautionary tale and run, don't walk to any other carrier but Verizon... read more

The manager of this store is not helpful or nice. Was in two weeks ago I was told I would know in 3 days. He says he didn't say that. I sat around for over a half hour. I said to him I have things to do. He told me to go do them. I asked about fixing my issue and I haven't heard anything. He said he never told me I would be contacted but it would be resolved in three days. He said if I give him my number he will call me every day just to tell me nothing. Also told me it was my fault they switched the promotion. I told him that was no way to talk to customers. My daughter call Verizon while I was waiting. She had someone filling out the paperwork as they talked. Very polite. The issue is your stuck in their contracts and they don't care. I should have listened to all the one star reviews as every single rating of this Verizon is one star for a very good purpose. I went and picked up a phone today after standing OUTSIDE in the cold for a good 10 minutes. They handed me my phone, said set up was easy and I walked out the door. Well as I got home I was setting up my iphone and basically realized set up was not as "easy" as they said and my SIM Card had to be switched. I went to the Verizon store close to my house and asked them to just activate my phone because the other store told me it would be easy and let me walk out the door.... WELL this Verizon store was trying to charge me $20 activation fee (just to change the SIM Card out) . They told me I had to go back to this Verizon if I wanted it done for free. After speaking to the Manager at the Verizon Store near me he advised that the Associates should have never let me walk out of the door without them changing my SIM Card. BE WARNED THIS VERIZON IS HORRIBLE, THERE IS ALL ONE STAR REVIEWS FOR A VERY GOOD REASON. Go to the Verizon on Dolson Avenue or go down to Monroe. DO NOT use this Verizon Store. And to add, they never answer the phone, I called for days and it just says "All Associates are unavailable at this time assisting other customers" .. that was NOT the case when I was there I saw two or three Associates walking around the store with nothing to do. Our Verizon contract was up and we needed new phones so we came here. Wish we had read the other reviews first. We came in and waited for "solutions specialist" Nicole L who had waited on us previously. We thought it was the right thing to do because she seemed nice and we thought she deserved the commission. What a mistake!!! She didn't back up my phone, or ask if I had, so now I don't have old ring tones that I bought. But worse than that, she didn't actually update our plans so we had none of the new features, and we're working with Verizon to straighten it out. Because of her ineptitude we were overcharged by more than $30 and had to deal with Verizon by phone. This is truly an example of no good deed goes unpunished. read more

When we went into this store to buy a new phone and wanted to port an existing number to the new phone we were told no, you can't do that. We asked to see a manager and he said it wasn't even possible, the tech didn't exist, we have nothing that does that. Well this wasn't true at all, they told us we had to buy another device to retain that number over an internet protocol. Later we called the parent company and they said of course you could have ported that number. It says so right on the homepage of the website! Keep your existing number from another device. What happened here is they upsold us unneeded equipment and on purpose. So we called the parent company and after an hour on the phone we got it straightened out, they said return the other device to the store and they will refund your money, everything is taken care of, should take a few minutes. The number was ported as we originally wanted. Well... Joe the Ast. Manager said he couldn't just take the device back because he had to reset it. It took him 2 hours. I called the parent company after we got home and they said he could have just taken it it was all done and taken care of and they did this just because it was easier for them to reset the device. He could have sent the device back into Verizon to have it reset and not wasted our time, especially since it was their fault to begin with. While there we spoke to the girl who first sold us the phone and told her hopefully they will all learn from this the correct procedure and not have this problem again, we said obviously this wasn't your fault you were trained wrong. Joe runs over and says you can't talk to my staff about that. Whaaaat? Seriously, Joe? What really happened it they saw an opportunity to upsell and pad a commission and thought we wouldn't know better. Big mistake. We said we'd report this to Verizon and Joe said there will be no investigation. I can assure Joe there will be and we're following up with the parent company. Imagine making a Mother with two small children wait 2 hours to return a device when the phone was set up properly by the parent company who said just drop it off! The worst customer service we have ever seen. While talking to the main corporate headquarters in North Carolina the person there actually agreed it was clearly an upsell and they would take action. So some advice, stay clear of this store altogether. The Verizon store in the Galleria (the other store in Middletown does better so we've been told by other people). Since we had this experience and shared it, we've heard form several people about similar horror stories with this particular store. Verizon needs to clean out the upper staff here who's main concern is upsellng people who they think they can take advantage of. Joe would not give us the name of the manager above him that sold us the device in the first place even though he clearly knew who it was. Why not? They should have apologized for their 'mistake' if that's what it was. Let me state this clearly, there is no way in hell a manager level staff member there didn't know the number could have been ported, this was no mistake. He said the tech didn't exist, there's no such thing! Thats not a mistake its an outright lie! They are no doubt ripping people off left and right whenever they think they can get away with it. Went to Verizon in Middletown Rt. 211 in May of 2017, seeking a specific contract my co- worker informed me of for my work phone. The salesman yes me to death and then gave me another contract which super exceeded the monthly amount I am given for a work phone. When I returned to the store to correct the matter, I was told the contract no longer existed and that a manager or supervisor would call me. He even gave me a receipt showing the amount I am suppose to receive back but no phone call, no follow through and no money. Five months later, still no money. I've visited the store several times and they refuse to give me the number of a Supervisor or Director. This store are scammers. Watch out for the bait and switch because you won't receive your money back even if they're in the wrong. read more

Don't waste your time coming to this store. Here's the background: Two times I've been in to resolve an issue with my account ultimately having the person who was "helping" me told me to call Verizon. Seriously? Why do you have a store if I have to call. "Well we've had a lot of fraud in this area". What was missing that required a call was authorization that I already had proof of through email as well as was available on myverizon. Once on the phone my representative said I have the authorization there should be no reason I cannot complete this in store but if I wanted I could ask if the store wanted to do it. The store declined saying they don't have sufficient proof of authorization to continue in making my account. So ultimately I ended up sitting outside of the store in my car with a phone representative who processed my request and got me a new plan as well as set me up with the people who I needed to speak to complete the rest of my plan. All under an hour! All the Verizon store was good for, was the free wifi! Never going back here I'll just talk to phone representatives and skip the frustration. read more

I just dealt with the rudest girl at this location . I was here the other day and got assisted with a renewal contract and payments and the guy found me a discount and was such good help . This girl was rude and rolled her eyes . Asked for me ID which they never did before . She was very dismissive and just said well that's how it is . This is the girl with long brown hair and long fake nails . I wouldn't suggest being assisted by her . She shouldn't be working in customer service . read more

Came to Verizon because they did not fix a billing error they made when I bought new phones over the phone. I had to wait in line and could not expedite my easy fix while others bought phones. Manager did not even have an interest in helping. Waited 45 minutes for a 3 minute billing fix. Their system of checking in is awful! read more
