That horrible sinking feeling when you realize you've lost your phone. And you're not going to get it back. Had it last Thursday. Walked into the store the next day, determined to buy a basic phone. When I realized that it was only going to cost me a few dollars more for an iPhone, and that I could bill everything to my account instead of coming up with the cash that day, I was in. Byron, who helped me, was totally focused on me as a customer and helped me get set up quickly and efficiently. While the paperwork was getting signed we also saw a couple hilarious videos on youtube. Great guy, great store. Go there. As an aside, I've been a happy Verizon customer since 2009. On this subject I would leave a less than 1 rating if I could. Getting ahold of a customer service representative on the phone is the most painful experience I can think of. I was disconnected twice. I wasted a half hour listening to AI and asking for a representative. If I could find a company that had real people that I could reach and understand, I would be willing to pay extra. read more

I had a fraud case back in March that was investigated and proven that I do not owe anything for fraudulent charges placed on my account. I have been a Verizon user for 15 years plus. I have an LG phone thru Verizon that is 8 to 10 years+ old and is just now starting to have several things go wrong with it so I stopped by your Merriam store at 5828 Antioch Road to see what I could do about getting a new phone. I briefed the sales agent on what the problems were with my old phone and to discuss an Alcatel Flip V phone. I had been told by a Verizon phone agent that I could get this phone free on my plan with no service charges or set up fees. Well I talked to another sales agent secondarily at the Antioch store who was very helpful but informed me that it was not free and there would be a service fee and taxes of $ 47.95 due on the agreement. #1 it was not free obviously as stated by your phone agent and at a 9.6% tax of 47.95, that calculates to a phone price of approx. 500.00 and the salesman that started the process with me was to say the least a jerk and not at all motivated to work with me in a professional or consultative manner and had an attitude about me questioning the added costs with the phone switch after I told him I wanted a basic phone not a 500.00 phone as a solution to my problem. I left and went elsewhere to find what I needed. My resulting enthusiasm for doing business with Verizon at this store and with this guy was far less than satisfying or productive. read more

Spent almost 1000.00 at this store approximately 2 weeks ago. Purchased a glass screen protector. A manufacturers flaw caused this screen protector to crack under normal finger pressure. Phone was never dropped or had anything dropped on it. I was given the run around and every excuse possible inside the store. As a result I feel as though I'm getting taken advantage of. I will be returning all of the items I purchased, switching my coverage to AT&T and rebuying my Samsung S8+, both of my wireless chargers, and my case due to their dishonest sales tactics. I work in insurance and it's pretty obvious to see when someone is "hunting" for a denial which is clearly obvious here. Next stop.....the BBB. read more

I wanted to visit this store to trade in my old devices. The representative refused to serve me and said I won't get the trade-in credit since I didn't have the old phones activated to their Verizon network before. I didn't have the mood to argue this with her. Submitted the trade-in online instead, it took about 3 weeks to get the credit but it worked. The local representatives looked like not well trained. Or, perhaps, she wouldn't get any commission from my trade-in, so she preferred to refuse me to make her life easier. read more

my phone charger broke so I went into this location to see if I could switch it out. the person who came up to help didn't even look at my charger or get my phone info - he just kept repeating that if I want something new I would have to purchase it. I left and went to the location in Ward Pkwy. the person who helped me there looked up my account and switched out my cord for no charge. store location really does make a difference! if you have an issue with your Verizon phone, or to purchase a new one, don't come here!!! there are better locations in the city where they actually care about their customers. read more

Absolute worst customer service yesterday. When I showed the agent that the phone should be $120 instead of $240 per their webpage, I was told either pay the $240 or leave the store. It stated I could order online and pick up at store and they said they would just tell me they were out of stock. I was forced to buy it at $240. For the last two weeks I've been trying to dispute a bill that they fixed for me last month but DID NOT! I've personally walked into this store twice in the last two weeks to correct the situation...each time I have been told that one of their supervisors would call me me back. I have given them my number for that supervisor to call me back several times and I have received ZERO phone calls! I honestly feel like the staff there does not care and just laughs at me while I'm walking out of the store.
