The store was empty. A female representative was immediately dismissive when I asked to upgrade to iPhone 17 Pro Max and fix slow 5G Home Internet (5G Plus plan). She claimed I could only have a slower "Lite" plan, refused router/plan upgrades, and misgendered me as "he" despite my ID and presentation. I corrected to she/her; attitude worsened. Manager Michael then asked me to leave and refused the iPhone upgrade. I received full service (faster plan, new router, iPhone upgrade) at another Verizon location soon after--proving this was not policy but poor conduct. read more

Caveat Emptor - Extremely Rude. - Bait and Switch Scams. The girl working there today was rude and had a nasty tone when I just had questions on the new phone I was purchasing. She literally got all emotional and terminated the transaction to go help other customers when I was just asking questions. There wasn't many people in the store either. Seems in line with the other poor ratings. Additionally, either Verizon or this store is running some bait and switch scam where they raise the price of your monthly bill a large (additional) amount when that's not stated in the new phone discount offers. I bought a new s23 from Costco, which I recommend. It saved me big money. I needed a new charger and screen protector, so I went to this store. The lady inside sold me some accessories for ridiculous prices. That's the good part of this experience. She offered to put the screen protector on, and I agreed. It looked okay under the store lighting, which was mediocre. When I brought it outside (it was sunny and clear), I noticed a big green piece of lint under the new screen protector. I brought it back inside immediately and showed the lady. She replied, "we don't promise perfection." She was not interested in fixing it and was dismissive. Very rude. Purchased a phone...told I want paper billing....still keep getting email billing notifications...4 conversations later.. Papers received at point of sale quote a bill monthly of $73... and first bill show $116.22.. hmm. I had a good experience at this store in 2011 so I went back in 2018 for a phone upgrade -- they told me the iPhone my son had purchased elsewhere was not compatible and I would have to buy one of theirs. WRONG. In 2021 I went in looking for a phone for work, and the woman who 'helped' me immediately started trying to upsell me, telling me I needed a more expensive phone plan. She was talking like a squirrel on cocaine -- and it was hard to understand her because of the mask. I replied I would simply order a phone from Apple directly and walked out. They were quick and professional about helping me start new service and get new phones. all my questions are answered right on the spot. And if they don't know a answer they will go find out instead of letting me walk out the stir unsatisfied looking for answers. I went to this Verizon Store earlier today and I walked in and was greeted by one of the employees Nick. Nick was extremely disrespectful, and a gigantic asshole. I had told him I had traveled a far distance and I needed to charge my Iphone. I told him I could stay in the store until i could take a screenshot of my bus pass back home because otherwise I wouldn't have asked. I understand if there is company policies about not letting strangers do that, Sure, no worries, but the way you communicate that to a distressed stranger matters. Nicks tone and voice with me was pretty rude, he also got mad at me when I told him I was there to sell my damaged phone. The one thing he said that stuck out to me as terrible however was when he said he didn't care about my situation. You never do that in Sales even if you don't intend on selling a product. If you want to be treated rudely and humiliated after being a loyal customer for years then this is your place. The person who greeted me was rude and had no interest whatsoever in trying to help me with his attitude. First two minutes in the store. Didn't want to look at my case for an upgrade I was trying to exchange in my 10th day of my "worry free guarantee"! I had initiated my upgrade online, received my new phone via fedex. Nothing but drama getting this new phone on board. After many calls to customer service, which was outstanding, and even apple customer service they came to the conclusion the phone may have a bug. They gave me a case number and said I could go to the Verizon store no trouble no problem and exchange it out. And here I end up with the store manager arguing with me about that's "not how it works" when I tried to impose my "worry free guarantee" in the 14 day timeframe. Long story short I sat in the parking lot for over an hour on the phone with excellent customer service people who ended up sending me a new phone express and I can mail my defective phone back. Now think about this- I'm not asking for a free phone, I'm not asking for something paid for, I wasn't asking for them to do anything that the folks on the phone did. Plus, who has time to "make-up" these phantom problems? Are you kidding me? I would have loved for this phone to be flawless right out of the box and not impose this drama on myself if I didn't have to!!! I was told by the employee when I bought my phone at top dollar for the top of the line phone and paid top insurance for my phone that if anything went wrong no matter what they would replace my phone right away with no charge because I was paying the top insurance my phones starting to act up now and it has a crack on the camera I was told now it will be even more money to replace my phone and they will not accept it for a trade in. I was a former sprint customer and was reluctant to give up my unlimited data and cheap monthly payments but he definitely got me to see the value in having a phone that will have service no matter where I am. Having service is more important to me than the bill or data. He even let me trade in my old iPhone for Wayyy more than what I ever thought It was worth. I walked out of there with a gorgeous new iPhone and all it's accessories. He was such a great help he smiled and even laughed at my corny jokes. I recently visited this Verizon store in Lakewood during a Seahawks game and received the best customer service by Lamar. The first thing I noticed about this store was how new and slick it looked inside in comparison to the other Verizon stores I visited. I work in downtown Seattle and the Verizon store behind the flagship Nordstrom, surprisingly looks hella dated in comparison to this Lakewood store, not sure how that works out. Anyways, I really hate the whole process of getting a new phone which is why I went during the Seahawks game, hoping the store wasn't crazy busy and I was right. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by two Verizon reps, and I told them I wanted to trade in my Google phone for an iPhone. The representative who helped me through the whole process was Lamar and he made the process quick and easy, and was super friendly. Lamar even told me about bundling my new phone accessories and how I could just add them to my bill rather than paying for everything all at once. I also appreciated how I didn't have to trade in my Google phone that same day because I told Lamar I wanted to make sure I had all my photos and videos backed up. Well Lamar told me I had the option of mailing in my phone within 30days, so he printed me out a prepaid return label, gave me a box and a return slip; perfect. I'd say I was probably in the store for no more than 20minutes and most of that had to do with me being distracted by their floor to ceiling wall of phone accessories and other tech products. I'll definitely go to this store again to buy future phone accessories. read more

GO TO ANY VERIZON STORE BUT THIS ONE. I listed some close other Verizon stores at the bottom of this review. Please, do yourself a favor and go to one of those if you must use Verizon. The customer service is one of the worst displays I have ever seen in my personal and professional life. We went to the Verizon store for a very simple task moving one line onto a new family line. The sales representative moved the wrong phone number--then did not admit the error, went to the back, did not talk to me for TWENTY MINUTES. The rest of the staff avoided eye contact with me and did not explain what was happening as I calmly sat down waiting for the solution. Finally when the sales rep came out after I had talked to a co-worker about how I didn't appreciate being ignored and pretending I wasn't there, he was SO DEFENSIVE and actually started yelling at me and the person I was with. No apology, no empathy, no explanation of how he was working on the problem. And he did not solve the problem. The store manager did nothing, she just looked at us and again avoided eye contact. The store's mistake generally seriously screwed me and my family on our account. We have spent over TEN HOURS trying to resolve the issue that resulted from his mistake. We will NEVER go to this again and i highly, highly recommend you go to any Verizon store but this one. I recommend going to an authorized dealer. Seriously, please save yourself time and AVOID THIS STORE. Ordered a phone for my son from the Tacoma store for his birthday and had it shipped to the Lakewood store because when I went in person to Lakewood, they told me I HAD to order online (false). The Tacoma store was happy to help with the order but didn't have one in stock and Lakewood did. When I got to the curbside pickup, a rep came out and said it would be a couple minutes. HALF AN HOUR later she came out again and said they were having trouble processing the order, and that I should wait for my confirmation email, then return. Two days later no email.... So I went back in and they said the phone order was "stuck" in the Tacoma store's system and they were unable to process. The Lakewood rep told me to call customer service to have the order cancelled. When I called the rep said they have to cancel IN STORE Since the phone was ordered in a store. Been getting the runaround since. So now it's been THREE weeks and I still have no phone and no refund because you have to pay the taxes up front. And NO ONE seems to know how to help me. All of this could have been avoided if the dumb Lakewood rep had just helped me in the first place instead of being lazy and telling me to order online. read more

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I was just accused of stealing a sim card in this store as I was browsing new phones to buy. An employee walked up to me and told me another employee saw me take a Sim card from a phone. Now in order to do that, I would have to take off the back, pull out the battery, and take the Sim card...then put it all back together. I emptied my pockets and demanded to speak to a store manager (not a floor manager) and was denied. I then demanded to see the video footage of me stealing this Sim card and was also denied. He told me if I was not buying anything to leave. Its a sad day when a loyal customer comes in to browse and is accused of stealing a $5 sim card. I went in to remove myself from my aunts account and the rep there told me that he would write the Century Link people an email saying that it was okay for me to leave but he wrote it wrong.. apparently there is a specific way to write those notes and they are taught during training and he did it completely wrong which cause me to have to go BACK to another store and he do it again..
