I purchased a Belkin cell phone car charger from Randall on 6/14/26. He confirmed that this is a Verizon corporate store, and he assured me that the Belkin brand is top tier. He also eased my fears about any phone damage from the malfunctioning Simple Power car charger that I purchased from a Verizon franchise. Randall said that franchises would not sell products that would harm my phone. It only cost me $17.99 for a Belkin BoostCharge USB-A to USB-C Cable, and I was surprised that I was taken right away because this store sits along a heavily congested thoroughfare. Title: Horrible Service and Unfair Billing Practices I've been a Verizon customer for over 5 years and I've never experienced such terrible service. I have a business account, and after I moved to a new location about six months ago, I didn't even use my Verizon internet once -- simply because I hadn't set up service at my new address yet. About five months ago, I called Verizon to close my account, but their representative convinced me to keep paying for my phone line, saying it would be easier since my equipment was already paid off. I trusted them. That was a huge mistake. Now, after six months of paying for a service I never used, I decided to finally close everything. But when I called, instead of helping me, Verizon forced me to pay for another month -- even though I clearly explained that I haven't been using the service at all. Their customer service is unbelievably slow and unhelpful, their website and mobile app constantly malfunction, and their billing practices are beyond unfair. Verizon only cares about money, not their customers. I'm done with them, and I'll make sure everyone I know hears about this experience. I watched them walk in after me, maybe they left and came back but I watched them walk in. I asked to set up an appointment and she said okay and then turned around to help several other people. This store and the manager, Trevor are thieves. In September of 2023 I went with my wife to get new phones. Trevor and staff never went over the amount per month for the cost of the FREE phones. Furthermore, they talked to my wife and I to get I watches which they claimed were also free! And this after spending over $900.00. The next day I called Verizon, and the watches would cost approximately $23.00 each for 36 months. The following day, I ween back to the store and handed the watches to an employee while Trevor was present and said I was not told the additional costs and I would not pay for the watches. Both Trevor and the employee wanted me to pay a restocking fee which I refused and subsequently left the store after they both said I didn't need to do anything additionally for the return. I should mention during my initial visit to the store, I also asked Trevor to remove the two phones for my late mother-in-law, who had passed away in June, and my mother who was placed in a nursing home. I subsequently found out Trevor did not disconnect the lines, and I had to call Verizon and do the disconnection. Since then, I have tried unsuccessfully to disconnect the watch lines and Verizon has been extremely unhelpful and refuses such disconnection without my paying the remaining months of the contract. Verizon has not taken into consideration my over 18 years as a customer and prefers to take the word of a store which according to Verizon is not a full Verizon store with a manager who is part incompetent and part untruthful. Avoid this store at all cost! I came in to do a simple service transfer from my old phone to my new phone. This is the easiest and most basic service to be done. I walked in and the store employee Natasha asked me what I was coming in for. I told her I just needed to transfer my service from my old phone to my new phone. She immediately went onto a rant that it would cost me $29.00 to do that. I told her no it's supposed to be free. She proceeded to argue with me about it. I told her three times I just needed to transfer my service to my new phone. Finally she changed her story now to " oh we charge $29.00 to do an information transfer. I told her that is not what I requested to be done but only a service transfer. She had a chip on her shoulder and a terrible attitude while talking with me. Then she said I would have to wait in the queue for 8 people ahead of me. 1 hour later when my name came up she pops out from the back room directly to me when there were other employees nearby who could have done it. She proceeds to ask me information and also asks me the other phone numbers on our account. Then she transferred the WRONG phone number onto my phone when I specifically told her at least five times exactly what I wanted done. She transferred the other phone number without the authorization of the other person's phone number. Then said don't worry it's okay I'll fix it. Well she couldn't fix it because the other phone was older and needed almost all the other employees help and the phone technician to get it resolved only after switching the other persons card through about five other phones. Thank goodness the person was with me waiting in the car or she would've been in a worse predicament. Almost three hours later with the service cutting in and out on the other persons phone, removing the casing multiple times, multiple people going through the phone which this person was elderly and didn't want anyone touching the phone at all nor authorized anyone to do so. She then offers this person an inferior model phone and wanted to put it through the insurance on the phone. What if there wasn't any insurance? This employee Natasha should have given her a new phone after completely screwing up the phone complementary from the stores insurance since she is the one who damaged the phone without authorization. She was completely incompetent, needing other employees to fix her rude incompetence and didn't care to listen to what I was in there for in the first place. When she me finally got my phone number transferred to my new phone she shoved my phone across the table and said "I'm done with you"! Let me start by saying how disappointed I am with Verizon. I have been with them 27 years and I am totally disappointed. I dropped my phone in water and couldn't get it to turn on. Verizon told me I lost everything and said my phone was not backed up, which it was, and nothing was on the cloud, which it was as well. In addition, I pay an extra fee for additional storage. Verizon customer service also told me that my phone is still in contract and the best they could do is offer me to pay for a lower model phonefor about $500 extra and I would have to have a second line with a monthly fee. They ordered me the phone, which was an iPhone 15plus, I currently owned the iPhone 15 Pro Max. They sent me to the Yonkers corporate store in New York where I went to pick up my phone. I asked the Verizon representative that helped me with the new phone to please see if any of my information was there. He looked at his iPad briefly and told me nothing was on any of the cloud. I have no information no contacts no pictures no text messages NOTHING. He handed me the new IPhone 15 plus that said hello Jean that's it. He never even gave me my second phone number for the second line. I went to the Apple store where they proceeded to find some of my information, my contacts and little bits and pieces. Later that week I saw a Verizon store in the Thornwood shopping center in New York I stopped in there where I can't tell you how nice the manager and customer service staff was. They told me go to you Ubreakifix. They told me they have special tools and probably will be able to get that phone turned on. Not to mention Ubreakifix is also known as which is owned by Verizon. Well they did, Ubreakifix got my old iPhone 15 Pro Max on. I now have all my information which was stored and just to mention all my photos were all on the Google Verizon Cloud that I do pay additional fees for. All my information, text messages, contacts, photos was retrieved. Unfortunately, the Verizon corporate store and the Verizon customer service when I called could not help me at all. They just didn't care. They said," oh well you lost everything you need to purchase a new phone." I am so disturbed and disgusted with Verizon. Once again I have to say I had yet another great experience at this store. I guess the other folks that go here show up at the wrong times. I walked into the store and was greeted by Janise Higgins. I told her what I was looking to do and she told me to follow her over to the counter. As per usual I made a list of impossible demands and she just sort of looked at me and said nothing. She crunched some numbers and she meant every single demand I made. She is very personable and listens to everything you have to say. She was not pushy and she only spoke facts. I believe i was second, I Might of waited 5 minutes tops. I got a really nice sales woman to help me, Her name was christine D. I Bought the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in white. Christine was extremely nice and very pleasant to work with. After she activated the phone for me, she asked if I wanted her to move my contacts and create any email accounts for me. Wow that was great she brought over all my contacts and added 4 email accounts for me. I would highly recommend this store and definitely Christina, she was definitely a doll to work with. I purchased an iPhone 13 as a gift for my wife for Christmas at the Verizon store next to the Walt Whitman Mall in Huntington, NY. The rep in the store said they are doing a special BOGO(Buy one get one free). We knew a friend who needed a new phone so we took advantage of the free phone. We asked about the monthly charges for the free phone and were told that when the person activates the phone, the monthly service line charges would be paid by that person, not us....Not the case. Verizon invoices being what they are, we did not notice the extra charges were on our bill until 5 months after we gave the phone away. $76.40/month. We called Verizon about this and they said we should have read the contract. We told them their store salesman lied to us. The Verizon manager then said that we should have brought it to their attention when we received the first invoice showing the extra fee. Yes, this was our fault for not noticing this extra charge when it first appeared but Verizon should still do the right thing and credit us back for the 76.40 since December, especially because of their sales rep lying. By the way, Verizon is charging a $49 monthly service line fee to the person we gave the phone to... so they are collecting a $49 monthly service line fee for this phone and $49/month from us. When I asked the manager on the phone how Verizon can get away with charging both of us for the service line, she said that these are not associated accounts. I did not authorize any orders. When I call the number back it goes directly to Verizon customer service who correctly has no record of me placing any orders. I told him I was coming to the store, he said ask for Bobby. So when I arrived I asked for Bobby. It was nice to have the human experience. I almost backed out from the switch because of the level of incompetence and unprofessionalism I received as a new customer. I worked with Cherly, who is apparently the manager. Run the other way if she approaches you because apparently not only does she not understand SIM cards, but she was very difficult to even engage with. I was sorely disappointed. But its ok, I went to another Verizon store and got my issue resolved in less than 30 minutes. Verizon, I still love you, just not the Huntington Station Branch... Horrible experience at this location. Janice was the one who "helped" us, if you can even call it that. Incredibly rude and demeaning when we were trying to figure out if it made sense to switch our monthly plan. Kept saying the same thing over and over and over, as if we didn't understand her clear English the first time. Went in to upgrade phones and possibly increase the data on our plan. In the middle of our discussion Janice just walked away. On that note, we left the store. It is incredible how some people who are hired to be customer service representatives actually treat their customers. This location has consistently had employees all over the place. Really is luck of the draw with who approaches you as you walk in. I am extremely disappointed with the staff in this Verizon location and the way this frightening experience was handled all together by Verizon. Last night as my phone was on the charger, I heard a 'pop' sound and saw the screen had detached from the bottom, rose-gold hardware piece, of the phone. The screen also splintered from the spot the detachment took place. It was quite scary so I immediately disconnected the phone from the charger (which was provided in my Apple box when I purchased this phone from this Verizon location in August 2017). Today, I contacted Verizon Customer Service to let them know what happened. The representative was very sympathetic and asked if I was alright and instructed me to visit my nearest Verizon store for a replacement. I told him the store I purchased it from was Huntington Station, NY and asked him if he could contact the store to let them know of this upsetting scenario. I understand they don't take reservations, but with something of this magnitude, I wanted the store manager to understand what was going on before I stepped foot inside the location. The Verizon Customer Service rep stated he spoke with the 'manager' and that they were aware I was coming at 12:30 PM. Upon arriving to the Huntington Station, NY location, I was approached by the floor representative, Todd. Todd didn't greet me, but asked me what the issue was. The words 'my phone kind of exploded' left my mouth when he IMMEDIATELY said 'he had never heard of that happening'. I stated 'that I spoke with a Verizon Customer Service rep and they instructed me to come into this location and a replacement would be provided' when he abrasively said 'I don't know about that'. The initial 45 seconds of my encounter with Todd, and in this Verizon store, felt like an attack. I felt as though I did something wrong and I needed to be on the defensive. As someone who works in the service industry, I was shocked by his abrasive nature. Todd promptly said he had to speak with his manager and walked into the back door of the store. The manager, who I never saw, and who never introduced themselves to me, was 'physically assessing' my phone and also checking 'notes on my account' based on what I stated Verizon Customer Service told me. During this time, a different floor representative approached me and asked me if I was being helped. I said 'helped would not be the word I would use, but the representative does has my phone in the back'. He went to the back office to check on the progress and he came out right away and explained they were still looking into what can be done. I appreciated the way he handled the situation very much, so I explained what had happened since I entered the store and that I was upset. He apologized, said they were working on it, and calmed me down a bit. I wish I got his name because he was very professional and kind. Todd emerged from the back office about 15 minutes later and stated the Verizon policy states I had to have the accessory I used to charge my phone with me in order for them to replace the phone. I became increasingly more upset at this point, and explained the Verizon Customer Service representative I spoke to on the phone did not mention the fact I would need the charger. That would have been an important factor to understand before coming into the store. Todd could not take responsibility for the Customer Service representatives error and stated I would have to come back with the accessory. At this point, I left the store. I got into my vehicle and contact Verizon Customer Service again. At this point, I spoke with a Customer Service representative named Aisha. I explained the entire story and she said it was true, the policy states I need the accessory in the event of 'overcharged battery' issues. I went on to explain that I wanted to make a complaint about the way I was treated within that specific Verizon location. At this point, she connected me with Cheryl, the manager at the Huntington Station, NY location. Cheryl stated she did look at the phone and notes on my account and Todd was correct, I did need the phone accessory. I stated I understood the policy, but I was extremely unhappy with the way this was handled by her staff. She briefly said she was sorry, but went on to tell me she was on the floor for most of the encounter and felt Todd handled the situation properly. I asked her why she never approached me to find out what was going on if she was on the floor in her store and saw me visibly and audibly upset. She said she did not think there was an issue. It was absolutely alarming to hear she was present for everything that went on, 'albeit the first 45 seconds'. Cheryl assured me that when I go back tomorrow (with the phone charger) I will be assisted as soon as a representative becomes available. I am hoping that is the case, as there can be no excuse for the way I've been treated thus far by this establishment. read more

I have been a Verizon customer from the beginning and have been coming to this store for years. I normally have a good experience here, but the other day I was left with a bad taste in my mouth. I upgraded to an iPhone XS Max last week and went back the following day to exchange it for a different color, being that I had 14 days to return or exchange. I didn't think this was unreasonable...it's a great phone, but I am picky and just changed my mind about the color, and obviously would rather exchange it now than have buyer's remorse a month from now when I'm out of luck. No big deal, right? The woman who helped me seemed to be very judgmental towards me about this which was off-putting (her words were something along the lines of "you're really going to pay a restocking fee just to get a silver phone?"). I then needed to get a screen protector for the new phone; she advised me to send in the one that was on the other phone as a warranty claim and wait for them to send me a new one. Yeah, no...this is an expensive phone, I'm not leaving the store without a screen protector on it (not my exact words, nor was I being rude at any point, but you get the idea). She almost seemed like she was reluctant to sell me a new screen protector. Yes, I understand that there's a restocking fee as I was told this yesterday, and that I have to buy a new screen protector. I decided I wanted a silver phone instead of a black one, and I want my brand new phone to be protected. I don't understand why that's an unreasonable request or why I'm getting an attitude over it. I'm not going to give one star because like I said, I normally have a good experience when I have to come here. Totally useless. Been here twice, had to wait 40min to an hour to get someone to speak to you. However, they are acting like trained monkeys with a tablet. If the tablet shows an error, then they wouldn't know what to do next. After a lot of back and forth, they provided me with wrong informations and had me come back next day (waited 40 mins again) just to tell me that "sorry, previous person had the wrong information...". I was 'helped' by an African American employee - didn't bother to take his name down, just wanted to leave the store as soon as possible. This guy did not know ANYTHING about the Samsung Note 7 recall. Yes you can return a Note 7 for a new one, even if it is cracked, Also a recent update on the Note 7 tells you (via the color of the battery bar) whether your phone is on the recall or whether its good. The verizon employee did not know any of this and encouraged me to keep my potentially hazardous phone. Moron. Avoid this employee and even better, avoid this store. Period. read more

This has to be the worst example of "customer service" I have ever experienced. Since switching to Verizon, it's impossible to get someone on the phone through 611. When I had AT&T, there was a person to talk to in under a minute. I figured going to the Verizon store would make some sort of difference. Not so much. As others have said, it seems there are several employees and maybe most of them are designated to checking in guests and selling plans to NEW customers, but unless you're paying a bill, good luck getting someone to assist or who even cares if you're ALREADY a customer. I wanted to find out about switching to the unlimited plan and why I hadn't gotten my promotion for double data having joined Verizon back in September and already having FiOS. This was a promo that should've been applied in December. My first round at the Huntington store, I was signed in and there were at least four employees standing around. Two or three were helping people. Another looked like she was processing stock. After waiting a while, a man comes over who I think is going to be of use, but just tells me about the unlimited plan and tells me to wait more; that another rep will be with me to pull up my account. I think I waited for 30 minutes, before leaving to run other errands. I returned, waited again and finally spoke to a young woman. She explained the price difference. Then I asked about the promo. She spoke to the same man who said hello earlier and they said it needed to be escalated to promotions. She was not typing anything or showing any indication that action would be taken. She just said they would escalate it. I advised I had been told that before and it was supposed to have been applied months ago. She said if I have time to wait, she could start the process, but that I was better off coming back. I asked when. She shrugged. I asked if I could get a call or text. She said no. Great service. I tell you I've had multiple bad experiences since switching to Verizon Wireless and your resolution after I've already been ignored as a customer is to tell me you'll take care of it and just stare at me with no reassurance that it's actually going to get done. How about you train your staff to be able to handle ALL issues - not just sales so your customers aren't standing around unnecessarily? How about you train your staff to take ownership of the guest experience and say they'll CALL (you DO have my number) when the customer has already had a poor experience since joining? These are fundamental elements of good customer service. Verizon would be wise to start implementing such practices or perhaps get a consulting firm to train their employees on what good customer service actually means. Ironically, the woman who assisted me was "training" a new employee who is no doubt learning the same poor practices for "customer service" as she provides. Dear Verizon, I purchased a phone from you two month ago and within a couple days I was told I was half way over my data usage so I then realized I could not afford to have this plan were another carrier was going to offer me unlimited data for the same price or less. I remembered the store representative telling me that I had 14 days to cancel at this point I had the phone for 6 days. I called Verizon corporate to make sure this move could be done without costing me money. I was assured numerous times by the representative that if I canceled my contract I would not have to pay a dime except for the restocking fee. I clearly asked her "What about the minutes I already used?" She assured me I wouldn't have to pay for that. So the next day I returned my phone (7 days from purchase). I had no problems I paid the restocking fee and right as I was about to leave the rep told me I would receive a bill with my balance. I told her what the rep said that day prior and she told me "okay well I don't know call and check". So I called and they told me I had a bill for one hundred and some-odd dollars. This is ridiculous for two reasons. First because I had the phone for 7 days and if I kept it for the month it would have been around $150, secondly I was told by a Verizon rep not even 24 hours ago that the only fee I would incur was a restocking fee. So I told the rep (Heidi) what happened and she had no mercy at first then she told me she could waive a few fees and knocks it down to around $60. I asked for a manager and she said she would talk to him and explain the situation. She came back and she told me that the manager said that they would clear my balance. I was very pleased, I remember thanking her repeatedly. A month later I received a bill in the mail from Verizon, I figured it was a logistics error so ignored the notice. Then I started to receive phone calls from them telling me to hold for a rep. I don't have time for that. I work 7 days a week so my time is very valuable to me. So today I finally had some spare time and I called them back and I explained my circumstances to the new rep and she told me there was nothing she could do. I asked to speak to a manager and she transferred me to (Justin Storm) and I told Justin my story again and he told me that he would call the store I bought the phone from to verify what happened. At this point I'm on the phone now close to 45 minutes. He gets back on the line with Franklin the store manager I bought the phone at. He told me that the rep who sold me the phone never said that I can have a 14 day free trial. I never said that the store rep said that. Then the other manager Justin Storm argues with me saying that I said that at the beginning of the call. Literally going back and forth with me I told him to check the tapes. That never happened why would I lie. So then I asked can I speak to his supervisor and he told me he can have him call me in 4 hours. So I agreed, now I'm waiting for his call. My problem with your company is that out of the three times I called I received a different outcome on the same issue. There is no consistency in the information that was given to me. This flaw in your system leaves me in the whole around 60 dollars. All I want is this issue to be taken care of and stay taken care of. At this point I am ready to go viral with this. The Wireless store near the mall is very helpful, wait time is minimal, they're polite, & helpful. The mini store in Walt Whitman Mall, they make you feel like you're bothering them by asking them questions, I won't bother going back to the one in the mall. read more

I recently went in because my IPhone6 was not ringing. I had a feeling it was some sort of setting. Without even checking the most basic settings the rep told me that "not ringing" meant my phone was on the way out and I needed a new one. I told him it happened once before a couple years ago but it came back, he said that's what happens when it is dying, it's intermittent. (intermittent???? every 2 years) He pressured me to get a new phone, actually said it would take only 5 minutes (a lie) I walked out. I lost business due to the phone not ringing. I lost time trying to get into the Apple store which I couldn't wait long enough to do. Several days later I saw my son and asked him to look at it. In 3 minutes he had it working. THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE PRACTICES VERIZON!!!!!!!!!. This was an obvious attempt to make a sale when I had no need for a new phone. After being a customer for 20+ years, this is how I am treated? I will be moving to another provider as soon as my contract is up!!!!!!! read more

I went in with a friend so she could upgrade her phone, and I was so impressed with the service and since my AT&T contract was up I decided to make the switch from AT&T to Verizon. Spent 3 hours yesterday getting scammed into "Buy one get one free" because my at&t phone isn't eligible to switch over to Verizon. The scammer salesman, told us we were going to pay ~500 out the door to switch me over. But after all is said and done they didn't have the phone we want in stock....so they said come back tomorrow. We come back next day all the sudden everything changes, price goes up by 300, customer service is awful, manager is super rude and unhelpful. Not dealing with these idiots ever again. 4 hours of my life I'll never get back. read more

There are a lot of things to say here. First and foremost, DO NOT BUY INTO THEIR BOGO SALE OF GOOGLE PIXEL 3S. First, I wanted to buy a new phone in October and Verizon was offering a BOGO sale! Hooray! When talking to a representative, I told them I only need phone and their response was that it wouldn't make sense to get only one when I could get another one for free. Knowing my husband needed a new phone, I bought into the BOGO deal, only after all of my questions were asked and answers approved. Question 1: Can I buy my phone outright? Answer: No. You have to make 3 monthly payments on it and then you're eligible to buy out the phone. Question 2: So I need to open a new line, which I don't need, and pay for that for 3 months, and then my husband's phone number can be converted to that second line? Answer: Yes, that's no problem. Question 3: After the three months, I can buy my phone outright, my husband's phone number can be switched to the second line, and then we can BOTH switch accounts to our friends' because he has a family plan and he gets a military discount? Answer: Absolutely. Just bring the phones back to me after making those 3 monthly payments and we'll get it taken care of. I go home, my husband mulls over the new Google Pixel 3 (he is not a fan of change and it takes him awhile to even think he needs something new). We don't activate the phone because I was told to wait three months. Turns out not a single part of that was true. I went to the East Northport store to transfer my phone line to my brother-in-law's account, and I was unable to do so because of the BOGO. Additionally, I wanted to pay my phone outright now that it had been three months, so I did that. Turns out, again, I got screwed because I had to wait SIX MONTHS. Not a single person told me this, and they let me pay it off without mentioning a word. Lastly, I lost my promotion of BOGO once I paid off my phone line because I unknowingly paid it off prior to the six months. Additionally, when walking into the store, a lovely young lady asked me how I am--to which I said I am very pissed off at the moment. I had been at one store only to travel to the Huntington location where I was lied to and totally duped when buying these phones. She did the best she could to help me. A manager (who was the nicest, hardest working individual--Pat) looked to be genuinely intrigued by my case. He began assisting me. When I told him my dilemma--that I have two phones, one was BOGO, and one is my line, that I paid my line off outright because I was told to after three months so I can switch to the other line but now I'm screwed, his boss (Rob--a HUGE jerk) began talking over him and down to me. I started explaining my situation again, angry this time because I was also being talked down to--I'm a little lady afterall *eye roll*-- he says what I'm saying is irrelevant because I say I was told I needed to wait 3 months. Now he and three of his employees start debating if it's three months or six months. None of them knew their promotion protocol. Weird. I stopped them and said, "This is the problem. Four of you are debating this and no one knows the truth. This is how I got screwed in the first place." To which Rob, the manager he is, starts giving me attitude because I'm pissing him off since I'm frustrated. When he starts talking down to me, again, I tell his employees to please get him away from me and get me someone else to talk to because I will not be talked to like I am a child. Rob threatens me with "I'll stop talking to you but just so you know if this gets escalated, it comes to me. This is my store. I'm the manager." Okay. Rob walks away. Pan back to Pat, the nicest gentleman who did everything he could to help me. While on the phone with customer service who said she could not reverse my payment on my buy out (that had literally taken place 35 minutes prior to this phone call), he was ultimately come up with plan after plan to help me get some of my money back. Ultimately, if you go to Huntington Verizon, ask for Pat. Praise him. He is amazing and so kind-hearted. I will be contacting corporate regarding Rob and his treatment of customers, however. Hopefully something is done about him, but until then, there are other Verizon locations and hopefully they get their information correct before essentially scamming others out of their money. read more
