Excellent Customer Service and Knowledgeable Staff Our washing machine finally broke down, after about 8 years.We are very thankful that we had been able to extend the service agreement into 2026. With the help of Managers (Brian and Jonathan) at the Plainview store, along with Terry and his supervisor, Geraldine, at the Service Center an exchange was able to be worked out. I had gone to the store to finalize the exhange and arrange delivery, for the washer. While there, I saw and spoke with our usual salesperson, ALI. He always is very helpful and knowledgeable and takes his time with us (not rushing us through). We ended up not only finalizing the exchange of the washing machine but also decided to get a new dryer as well. Hopefully, I won't have to go to the laundromat anymore. I ordered a GE front load washer (Order #005-1851163) and it was delivered on 11/29. I did my first load of laundry on 12/2 and the machine started shaking so violently during the wash cycle that it hadn't even reached the spin yet. The shaking was strong enough that my dryer which is stacked on top came off the hose and the washer shifted from its original position. This was definitely not what I expected from a brand new appliance and felt like it was going to explode as the shaking was aggressive. The delivery experience wasn't pleasant either. The two delivery guys asked me for an additional $130 to install the machine which felt wrong since they were separately asking me for it and it wasn't part of any official fee. It left a bad impression and made the whole process stressful. The reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of one is because of Ali the sales associate who helped me. He was professional, polite and genuinely kind throughout the entire purchase. He made the buying process smooth and answered all my questions. I highly recommend working with him if you need assistance at this location. My experience when purchasing my dishwasher was great. Once I got it the customer service has been AWFUL. I only shopped here thinking it would be good for a warranty and customer service. I was wrong. My dishwasher came dented and the top rack is unusable. It was installed before I moved into my home and I didn't notice the indent (you couldn't see it, only realized because I couldn't pull the top rack out) and I called immediately when I saw it. They said they can't do anything and it will be $400 to fix!!! I spoke to several people in customer service and has been 0 help. The guy that came to check the claim was also nasty and rude in my home. On top of this I bought a 5 year warranty that doesn't cover it and it's unusable unless I pay to fix this. There is nothing being done for me. I will never shop at pc Richard's again and will not give them another dime to fix it. Now I have to buy a dishwasher (100% not at pc Richard's) and I still am trying to fight to get refunded for the warranty I paid for. I will be discouraging everyone I know from ever using pc Richard's and I will never be their customer again. They need to make this right. I recently bought an LG stackable washer, dryer (Dan was great) and arranged for PC Richard to install the new one and remove the old one. I was a little apprehensive about this process because my washer dryer is in a very small and difficult area to work in. I discussed my concerns with the woman who set up the delivery appointment and she reassured me everything would be fine. When the two men showed up, (at the beginning of the 3 hour delivery window) they were fantastic, I can't praise them enough. I asked him several questions about the unit and the measurements to my window and was told it would absolutely fit. Also asked about the return policy and was told I could return for a week. Didn't mention that it must remain unopened which is the stupidest thing I've heard bc how would it remain unopened if my intention was to use it. Was Never told this. Called today to ask about a return spoke to gentleman Gustavo who was rude as all hell and thinks he's going to tell me how it is. He Said basically doesn't care what his associate meaning an employee of the store told me he's telling me no returns on ac units that have been opened. HORRIBLE experience from beginning to end... Confirmed a delivery for Tuesday morning between 7-10am that didn't show until Wednesday...had to arrange for my brother to be at my house while I go to work since delivery didn't come when confirmed by phone and text, as expected... Installer was to replace/install existing washing machine that was sitting on a pedestal drawer...and remove old dishwasher upstairs... Installer tried to convince my brother the existing pedestal drawer and washer were 1 unit (false: purchased separately) After figuring out how to remove washing machine from pedestal... Installer removed pedastal from location, installed washing machine in location and convinced my brother that existing pedestal wouldn't fit new unit(false:it is a direct swapout, exact fit) than left pedastal on floor in front of washing machine(that would fit perfectly on top of it like agreed upon and noted at time of sale) Installers Were also suppose to remove dishwasher but did not... I come home from work to find this half way install completely unacceptable... NOW P.C. Richards is charging me to comeback and complete the installation, that was originally agreed upon?!?? One thing that really burns me is when companies engage in online review manipulation. My salesman insisted that I leave a review for the P.C. Richard Plainview location on Google before I even left the store. He also started touching my phone to "help" me submit the review, which a) I can do just fine on my own, and b) I consider to be a significant faux pas in 2022. I don't mind if my wife touches my phone, but that's about it. Needless to say, I left a positive review because the interaction was super awkward and he was literally staring at my screen as I wrote it. It's my fault: I should have just told him no and left the store. However, I'm not going to mention his name here because it was made clear to me that this was due to pressure from management to garner reviews, and wasn't the salesman's idea. In fact, I got the impression that he'd be penalized if I didn't leave a good review. If management is pressuring customers to write positive reviews while in the store BEFORE a transaction (delivery) is even complete, that's absolute BS. It forces me to reconsider P.C. Richard's 4.9-star rating on Google, and to focus more on the negative reviews, as those are clearly going to be unsolicited. That's one reason for this 2-star review. Additionally, the showroom was underwhelming. The Sony A95K that I ultimately purchased not being on display (nor in stock) at the store. I made my decisions mostly based upon the technology of the panel that I wanted (OLED), and reviews from reputable sources. It was basically a choice between top-line offerings from Samsung, LG and Sony. The problem is that in the showroom, all they have are the stock manufacturer demos on the TVs. They all look great, but of course that's the case. The demos are designed by the manufacturers to dazzle, and play to their panels' strengths. For example, even a cheap VA LCD panel is going to look better than a top-of-the-line OLED if the cheap TV has a better demo. And the Sony demos are different to the Samsung demos and etc., so there's really no point in having them on display, as it's comparing apples to oranges. I asked the salesman if he could put anything else on the Samsung OLED floor model, and after some hemming and hawing the best he could do was an SD feed of a 24 hour news network. Moreover, the P.C. Richard delivery process is a bit restrictive. You can't select a delivery window. A delivery date, yes, but even an approximate time of day, no. The sales guy told me that the night before my delivery (after 8PM) I'd be able to call a phone number to get my delivery window for the following day. I've worked from home since the events of 2020, so it's not a huge deal now, but prior when I was in an office I'd have to schedule a full day off of work to receive their delivery. Not optimal. Even if they can't possibly let you specify a morning or afternoon delivery, at least more than 12 hours advance notice would be nice. I've got more to this review, but unfortunately I've hit the character limit. read more

What a fiasco! I just spent the last 4 days trying to get a Certificate of Insurance correctly filled out from this company! I provided all of the information at their first request and it took a week, and 3 revisions to get the most basic information revised! Sadly, I've been doing business with this company for many years with few issues. I will no longer be doing business with them in the future. The last person I spoke to had the audacity to speak out of turn and indicate that the information on the form was what I had originally provided which was NOT the case, as the first person who took the order could attest. I have text messages about the exact information that needed to be on the form, we revised the form they sent us incorrectly. They revised it again, incorrectly... completely unprofessional and aggravating. If you're ready to buy a large appliance DON'T GO HERE. We needed a new oven and microwave and were ready to buy. We had purchased from PC Richards in the past so went back there. The sales person (who we remembered sold us our dishwasher) was pushing models we weren't interested in, and was annoyed that we had done our homework. He didn't have the models on the floor we were interested in and basically said he could order something online (which we could do ourselves), and after 10 minutes said "I have to take a call" and left us standing there. We mulled around for another 15 minutes as he looked on from afar (not on the phone anymore). Finally gave up and went to Plessers where the experience was complete opposite. Sales person was helpful, not pushy, patient, not running off to "take a call" and in the end we found our perfect oven and microwave AND they beat Costco's price. BUYER BEWARE! PC Richard's has changed, it is not the store it used to be. Their customer service is terrible. We paid for a ten year service contract when we bought our Whirlpool refrigerator. Our in the door ice maker stopped working. A service technician finally came and said the door had to be replaced . After waiting weeks for a new door to be delivered and then weeks for it to be installed, the new door was defective. We waited many more weeks for another replacement and it's installation . When the installer finally came today we found that it is the WRONG door!!! PC Richards is not willing to do anything about this . And we are stuck with a refrigerator that has not had a working ice maker since the summer and a giant box blocking our hallway . Be smart - stay away from PCRichards. My wife and I moved to long Island in 1970. We bought a house and over the past forty nine years most of our appliance purchases were made at Sears, Crazy Eddie, or P.C.Richards. There came a time in early 2005 when our refrigerator needed repair so I called Sears repair and was given the news; Our frig was over 8 years old and they weren't producing parts for that model. My wife said lets give P.C. Richards a try, That was in 2005 and we were so happy with that company we rarely shop anywhere else. In 2013 our TV went. Soon after, our stove and refrigerator needed to be replaced. We returned to P.C. Richards and met a salesman named Phil Sterling. Each time we were ready to buy, Phil was there ready to spend as much time as necessary giving us all the product information we needed. The end result was we bought the best make and model available at a great price. Now with regard to our most recent purchase, to wit, a dish washer. Phil spent about 30 minutes going over the pros and cons of the brands he recommended. My wife made a decision and I made the purchase. Delivery in 2 days. The delivery people arrived on time but the guy who was supposed to install the dish washer said "You need a plumber'. It's Sunday...if you can't install it take it back. Monday morning I received a call from the store manager Joseph Ruggiero He was more upset then my wife. Long story a little shorter Joseph called upon their number one plumber/installer. He delivered the machine, installed it and we didn't need to pay a plumber. The bottom line of this review is after many years of interaction with P. C. Richards I highly recommend that store. All the managers, especially Joseph Ruggiero are good people and they are concerned about their customers. I can't say anything bad about any of their sales staff but I can highly recommend Phil Sterling. He has many years of experience and he knows his products.. So, my fiance and I were looking into purchasing a Washer Dryer and have gone to Sears, Home Depot, and PC Richards. This was our first experience with PC Richards and it was just awesome. Our Sales Associate, Asim, did not try and sell us anything that we weren't interested in. He helped us look at our different options, what we will be needing in our home, and also the different warranties we should consider. He provided excellent customer service, and even matched what we found elsewhere on delivery fees. We knew a person that worked for PC Richards who said they could get us a better price and Asim literally provided us with his discount and the rate it would be ( which was more than the sale price). He also explained to us that we have a 30 day price match guarantee after we receive the washer and dryer. I have been in sales and customer service for over 9 years and it's a great feeling to have someone who cares about what they are doing and treats you like a person instead of just trying to up-sell you. We left feeling relieved and reassured that we made the right decision. I am very disappointed with PC Richard and Son. Over the past 7 years I have purchased 2 Samsung televisions, a washer and dryer, and all of my kitchen appliances. The Samsung refrigerator broke 3 times in the first 2 years after installation. Obviously I lost hundreds of dollars in money over spoiled food. Although it was under warranty, instead of replacing this lemon, the service department kept insisting they could fix it. After the third time, they finally approved a replacement. I understand things happen , so I did not complain. Now my dishwasher (also Samsung )broke for a second time since installation. When I called to request repair after spending thousands of dollars at their store, they had the nerve to charge me 160 dollars for a service call. The dishwasher cannot even be repaired. Cannot believe how much this once great store has fallen, instead of buying from Amazon or bigger company I wanted to purchase my new refrigerator from PC Richards, I placed an order in August and was told I would take delivery in September as 11 units were due in, September came and went, I was then told second week in October, in the mean time I already got 2 bills on there 0% financing credit card even though I still had no delivery date, I had to call Credit card company who even though is a PC RIchards credit card HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH PC Richards, so I am now dealing with reversing a negative credit report of past 30 days due, I found the exact model I was looking for at Appliance Connection in Stock today and ordered it, and cancelled with PC Richards, I asked to speak to a manager but was told one was not available, and the person I was talking to could care less.
