I came here based on the reviews, glad I did. My iPad was not charging at all, so I assumed it was time to have the battery replaced. The shop owner told me that he wanted to try charging it for an hour before doing anything unnecessary to my iPad; such as opening it apart. I later received a phone call that my iPad was just fine, it was just an issue with the charger. I was not charged for the diagnostics but I decided to buy the charger and an iPad cover from him, just because he was so kind and honest with me. We need more repair shops like this. Honestly I can't say I've received any better treatment. I got my phone screen fixed for a great price and ended up having some problems, but as soon as I went to the store and told the clerk about the issues I'm having, he immediately without any further questions in for me that I can either replace my old screen and put it back and he would give me a full refund, or he would change the screen that he just put for free and make sure that I don't leave the store until I was satisfied with my product. I completely agree with the other 5 star reviews. Fantastic service! This shop is in a small building opposite the main entrance to the Hicksville train station. Think there is a Dunkin Donuts shop next to it. When awaiting for the train, I decided to check about my cracked iphone screen that I was originally planning to fix at some of the reputed shops in Manhattan. I am thrilled that I did. Owner was a very engaging and nice person called Vijay. When I inquired how long it might take to fix, Vijay said 10 minutes and quoted $70. Think he got it done within 8 minutes and as a bonus, he added a scratch resistance screen. He made sure that I was able to use the phone without any issue before sending me off. The screen from my son's iphone 5c was cracked and completely off the base of the phone. Unfortunately the phone was not repaired and ready at the time given, which caused an inconvenience for me. However, the owner had the phone personally delivered to me. Later that evening the owner called me to inquire about the phone and to make sure everything was in working order. The phone looked brand new and all functions were working fine. The price for the repair was very reasonable, less than quotes I recieved elsewhere. I have used this Staples for office supplies as well as other items they sell related to clerical needs. Over those many years good managers come and go. resulting in a change in the quality of service. Their products remain steady and reliable...most of the time. So now I writing about a return issue I had today. Quite a while ago I purchased a telephone headset for my in home land line. I called my local Staples and the manager named Scott Rose answered my call. I explained that the headset I purchased sometime in the past was broken and at time of purchase I also purchases a warranty for it. Scott asked if I had a receipt...No He asked if I knew when I made the purchase...No So he looked it up on his computer and found the purchase and told me my 2 year warranty was still in effect.. It took me 10 minutes to get to the store and when I walked in and explained my reason for being there a woman working the front desk took a new headset from behind the counter. Scott came over did some work on his computer and asked if I wanted another warranty...Yes please. This time I took a 3 year warranty. Scott could not have made that exchange any easier. As Scott was doing what needed to be done I noticed there was a lot more traffic in the store, more products being delivered, more customers checking out. My son's iPhone 7 wouldn't charge past 15%. We tried multiple wires and adapters. We took the phone to Verizon who stated it would cost $120 to repair (the contract is up September 2018). The Verizon salesmen said "why don't you go to my friend Vijay first? He will tell you if you need a new port. He's honest, he won't sell you something you don't need". We went to Vijay. He said it's not the port, it's the wire. To which I responded, "we tried 3 different wires at home and none of them fix problem. Must be the port." Vijay asked that we bring in the phone the next day so he could do a diagnostic on it. He called me stating he was he was able to charge the phone to 100% and sold us an updated aftermarket lightening charger. Problem solved. My son said the phone charges perfectly now. Outstanding service. I bought my Mini Ipad Retina here since I had accidentally dropped the unit and broke the screen. It was repaired for $99, but had a ding or two on the display. They replaced it again at no extra charge, and returned it to me in flawless condition.
