So first off this company is offering a 5% discount for " good reviews and mentioning the techs name" If that isnt manipulating their yelp reviews nothing is Second off, I brought my phone in for a repair that was supposed to be covered under the extended warranty from Google. The manager hid in the back like a coward and made the counter person tell me that they aren't accepting the warranty because of these deep scratches in the screen but otherwise the warranty would have been covered because they don't think Google would accept it. This place is beyond a joke. A complete disaster run by incompetent, dishonest people who have zero regard for their customers' time or money. Do yourself a favor and stay far away. I put down a deposit to order hinges for my laptop and was told they'd arrive in a week. A week and a half passed with no update, so I had to call them--only to be told the parts were delayed and would take another week. Fine. I waited. Then, after another week and a half, I called again and was told the parts had finally arrived and that I could come in to get my laptop fixed. So I show up, ready to finally get this issue resolved--only to be told the parts were never delivered and that someone had called me to let me know. That was a straight-up lie. No one ever called me. No updates, no communication--nothing. Every single step of the way, I had to chase them down for answers. This place wasted an entire month of my time, and for what? Nothing. I could have gone somewhere else and had my laptop fixed weeks ago. Instead, I got lied to, strung along, and ignored. Stay far away from this place. This entire business is a scam I've been paying for insurance for months, which is what I was told to do by one of their workers. I've been charged money every month and put down money. The first day I signed up in store and after two months of waiting, I finally called the insurance company and they told me everything I was told was untrue and wrong and there's nothing that they can do for me. all of the people working have no idea what they're doing in the slightest brought out someone else's iPad. After showing them the receipt, on my phone . They told me unless I have a printed one there's nothing that they can do for me so they basically just took my money and did nothing for me. I have been lied to by multiple employees. And they killed my previously-functioning MacBook Pro. It's dead. Now I have to go to small claims court, because they turned this into a circus. I took a video inside their store before I dropped it off Wednesday, for my insurance company. It was functioning normally. It just had some wax on the outside. Now it is completely DEAD. They quoted me $100 at first. I've now checked prices at other uBreakiFix branches, and found out that an outside cleaning is about $30. The same day, they called me and asked for another $50, because they said that wax had gotten under the keys and gotten onto my motherboard. They had me pick it up 24 hours after I dropped it off. I got home, turned it on and plugged in my external hard drive to do a backup. The backup took 5 minutes, because I had done one ~3 weeks ago. In that 5 minutes, my trackpad started going haywire. The pointer was moving all over the screen like I was choosing folders, then scrolling all the way down, and repeat. I tried to shut it down, but couldn't. If I clicked the top menu, it just scrolled back and forth through that menu. So I shut it off using the button. I called this location the next morning, and they told me to bring it back in. Then I tried to turn my laptop back on, and it was COMPLETELY DEAD. I called them again to let them know, and then brought it in. When I got there, I showed manager Ryan that it was dead, and now doesn't close properly. He kept accusing me of having liquid damaged my laptop. That's not accurate. Wax is a lipid. It doesn't conduct electricity the way water does, and wouldn't damage it in the same way. If any wax had actually gotten in at all. I have never been given any proof that there was ever wax on my motherboard, despite asking. I called on Saturday to find out what happened and was told that they were waiting for the tech Tommy who did the work to come in on Monday. Then I was called by a different tech Diego on Sunday. He said that he got the computer on, but it would only boot into safe mode. He also couldn't get the password to work for a good 10 minutes, I don't know why. He took it apart while I was on the phone. So I suggested that if Tommy cleaned the motherboard, maybe he damaged the motherboard. Diego then told me, that Tommy told him on the phone that he didn't even open the computer, so he couldn't have damaged it. So which one is true? Either they scammed me for extra money, and didn't open the computer or clean the motherboard at all. Or, they did open the computer, and they're lying about it to avoid taking responsibility for having damaged it. When I spoke to the manager Ryan about this today, he told me that there was no way that Diego could have spoken to Tommy on the phone on Sunday. Even though Diego was happy to tell me 2 or 3 times that he did. When I came to pick up the computer today, it was handed to me on and in safe mode. I hit restart. It took a couple of minutes to restart. When the Apple insignia came up, it flashed with lines across the screen, and then went back to the Apple insignia. It never did that before I left it at this store. Then I turned it off, and tried to turn it back on, and it is now DEAD AGAIN. Ryan has been consistently rude, arrogant and condescending every time I've spoken to him - twice in person, and on the phone. He was happy to hand me back a dead computer, along with some more rudeness and condescension. I asked for a full refund. He gave it, but seems to think that refunding me makes all of this better? It does not. I gave them a laptop that needed some wax cleaned off the outside of it. They've given me back a laptop that a) IS DEAD, b) still smells like wax, c) doesn't close properly, so body damage? Who knows about the trackpad damage. Ryan refused to give me a written diagnostic report of what work was done. He refused to honor the 1-year warranty printed on my receipt, saying he's not liable for "after repair damage". He refused to let me speak to any of the 3 store owners, even when I asked for them by name. read more

They ordered the part and 12 days later, still no part. They stated they overnighted the part and I came back the next day, still nothing. They also don't have a technician on duty every day. What kind of business that repairs phones doesn't have a a technician on duty to actually perform repairs. This is a very shady business. Save yourself the aggravation and stay from this place. I made a reservation 5 days in advance and in it advised I was coming for a battery replacement for my iphone. I get there at the correct time and the door is locked nobody is behind the counter. I call and the person comes from inside opens the door and acts like it was a bother for her to be there. She proceeds to tell me "for your phone, we'd have to order a battery." Remember I put the reason for my appointment in with the reservation. This is the second time I've come to this place and they never seem to be prepared to do anything. I go online and schedule a screen replacement. They email and say if I drop off my phone before 7 pm they can have it the next day. So I'm thinking great, I will have to go a day without my phone. Ha ha ha. I take the time to drive there and they tell me they don't have thescreen in stock and it will take two or three days to get it. Well hello, when I filled out the form and I said I needed a screen so why would they tell me they could replace in by the next day when they don't have it stock. Then I ask them to check if anyone else has it and it turns out Garden City has it. The worst customer service experience in my life! Brought my phone twice to fix the broken screen. First time they took my phone, kept it for 2 hours, and then said, that they don't have the right details to replace !!! Then I came back in a few days, made sure that now they have right parts to replace. Left, the phone, and they told me it will be ready in about 3 hours. I came back, girl said that they just started so it will be another hour. I was waiting there all that time, and got my phone fixed after 7 hours of waiting!!!! This is insane! The girl that is working here was really rude, when I asked her to give me please my phone back, she said she can put my broken screen back and give it to me. They replaced the screen on mu iPhone 8 for $99.00 plus tax in 45 minutes. It's an aftermarket screen that seems a little less bright than the original, but good enough for me. Better than buying a new phone or Paying Apple 149.00 for a new screen. read more

Was told it would be about 4-5 days and a price of 199.99 to fix which was a relief since apple wanted to charge 599.99. The charging mechanism broke off and got stuck in my phone. I work nearby so I figured I would stop in and see if they could remove it without damaging my phone. The guy who helped me was so nice. He fixed my phone quickly and took the time to show me the phone would still take a charge. I would definitely use them again in the event I have a problem with my phone! Highly recommend! I am not the type to leave reviews on anything but Im extremely upset. 2 weeks ago I went to this location to have the LCD on my iPhone fixed which is $175 +tax or so. I also bought a case from them for $35 with the intentions that it was a "great case" not even a week later my screen has a small crack on it towards the bottom and the LCD lights are flipping out on my phone again to the point where I can't even use it. (I didn't drop it) I work and things happen to touch my phone while its in my pocket. and I have never had a problem like this before with any other iPhones I've owned. so I went back to ask about the warrantee and they said that since there was "physical damage" I am not able to have it repaired again. I am extremely upset and not only did I throw away the money for the phone. I bought a "great case" from them. this was the first time I have been to ubreakifix, and being honest the customer service was great at the front desk and I was excited. the guy I talked to was very nice. but at the end of the day throwing $225 dollars down the drain on a phone and CASE from them to have THE EXACT SAME PROBLEMS THAT I GOT FIXED a week ago is absurd. I bring iPhone 8 in to get the front glass replaced (had a few minor cracks) phone was working in perfect condition I just needed the glass fixed no other issues whatsoever. Go back to get phone and this kid is telling me I need a replacement phone and to contact my insurance with at&t? Why? Gave me a whole story how when lifting the glass the home button got broken and that happens with the newer models? I go excuse me? There is now a huge piece of glass missing out of the bottom corner(near the home button I'm assuming he broke off when trying to lift the glass)and 5 more huge cracks on my screen that were not previously there. I was so mad I had to walk out. Home button completely non functional and way more damage to my phone, when all I needed was glass fixed.
