The counter Boy said 15 dollars so I was thinking a little pricey but well worth it if I crack or break my screen within the next day or two waiting for Amazon for five dollars savings . the counter boy was arrogant and had very poor customer service . Believe what everyone is saying about screen repairs. They offer two screens claiming one is great quality and the other is cheap. I tried both within a couple months time only to be told by another shop that the expensive one was also cheap. The expensive one was put in but I noticed it wasn't secured in the casing. It broke before j could get back there. The issue was not only the cheap screen but also the installation. I took it elsewhere and there hasn't been an issue since. I won't use them again. Edit: I went there after the second screen broke. The tech who fixed it offered half off retrieving my info off the phone they'd half ass repaired. Why would i let him "fix" anything he half ass repaired just weeks prior? He said he spoke with the manager about my broken screen and was told what to tell me. Yeah, no thanks. On a Sunday there were not many places that were open - they were! There is parking around the side and back - plenty of spots there, and there is a back door into the store so you do not have to walk all the way around if the weather is not good. There are a lot of these places that offer new screens or protectors. Not many with the right people to get the job done right. I went in a few weeks ago with three Samsung tablets that are not the newest yet needed some servicing. The gentleman there helped me, completing the screen work on all three, and I was in and out of there quickly. There were also lots of accessories there in case you need them! My Windows login was corrupted due to a virus of some sort, even though I have a paid antivirus. I found iProdigy in a search because they had a high rating. I am happy to say that I learned why they are so great from my initial phone inquiry. When I called, I spoke to a gentleman named Alex. He was very polite and knew exactly what the problem was right away. He was able to save ALL of my data and reinstall Win 10 without having to wipe my hard drive. This is priceless to me because I would have spent several days reinstalling all of my programs. Mind you, I tried calling Staples and a few other places. They would not give me any information as far as whether or not they could even repair this much less the cost for doing so. iProdigy does not charge for their diagnostics. Staples and several other places do. I would also like to mention the rest of the staff. They were very helpful and friendly. Fiscer and Matt are fabulous! Matt even carried my computer to my car and was so incredibly nice. I like the fact that I could trust this company with my private data. So many people are reliant upon their computers to do everything from paying bills to work related data. It is important to protect this information. Just wanted to give a very positive shout out to iProdigy phone repair store in Bellmore on Bellmore Ave between Sunrise and Merrick. The battery on my iPhone 11 Pro was showing 80% charge meaning it needed to be replaced. I checked on Apple's website and the Best Buy in Levittown is supposed to be able to replace them, so I had made an appointment for the next day afternoon. I got a phone call from them that morning saying my phone was too old so they don't keep batteries in stock and I would have to come to the store and leave the phone while they ordered a new phone battery which could take up to 72 hours and I obviously wasn't doing. The Best Buy employee recommended making an appointment at the Apple Store at Roosevelt Field which is what I was trying to avoid doing in the first place. I looked online and Apple's first available appointment wasn't until two days later. Then I remembered that we'd gotten my son's iPad screen fixed at iProdigy a while ago (also an excellent experience!) and decided to call and ask if they had the right battery in stock. The iProdigy employee said yes and it was while you wait service, so I drove over that afternoon, he confirmed it needed to be replaced, and I was in and out of the store in less than ten minutes for the exact same $89 it would have cost me to have either Apple or Best Buy replace the battery. So if you want a quick, easy, competent place to go get your battery replaced, I highly recommend them. read more

My daughter cracked her iPad screen a few weeks ago. Last night, after dropping it, an actual piece of glass fell off of it. I didn't want to risk her getting cut, so I brought it in for repair. I dropped it off around 11am, by 1pm the repair was complete. Rob called to let me know that the repair was complete and it would be ready for pickup at 2:30pm after the glue was done drying. 2:30pm I arrived, paid and was on my way home with a perfectly repaired iPad. I had dropped my phone with its case on on my deck, called iProdigy and they were able to take me right away. Robert was honest and said he would check to see if it was the display, or the backlight. He said if it was the backlight he would recommend getting a new phone. Luckily it was only the screen display and I went home with a functioning phone. Words cannot describe how amazing this place is. We have used this place often , in fact two weeks ago when my daughter broke her phone. Well it broke again while she was away at school and took a bus home to fix it. After a bus screw up, her eta was after the store closed. Nice office, friendly staff. I arrived to a waiting mother with her son. We spoke several and she spoke of how her son had his phone repaired 5 different times (cracked screen) that should have been my sign to run. She brought the case (the really expensive one) and still phone screen broke. I went ahead and fixed my daughters phone. Her keys hit the glass and her screen is broke again. I took her back to the store to fix the screen yet again. Well guess what screen broken again. She didn't throw the phone, it's in the best case ever. After repairing the phone at a different store they mention the quality of the glass is poor and that the phone would have eventually broken if just sat down gently. At a $100 pop, you will go back because they are friendly. Save your dollars and get quality glass. Also remember, that once they repair it Apple will not ever fix it. Just pay the money and get it repaired by Apple. Trust me in the long run you will spend double on cheap replacement glass read more

I felt like my service was great until my camera stopped working the next day and when I played games my LCD wasn't always responding properly. Then I dropped my phone right where the screen protector they gave me wasn't protecting it a week later. I realized that the screen protector was pointless if it wasn't edge to edge since it immediately cracked where it wasn't protected. I read online that when your phone is fixed it's covered for a lifetime. I called to see if they would fix it since it's been a week and Alex politely let me know that they couldn't. So they get 3 stars for customer service, but where I was truly unsatisfied is that when I took my screen to get fixed a week later at a different location they told me my lcd was replaced with a non apple lcd. I went to get my glass screen fixed at Iprodigy my LCD was functioning and did not need to be replaced. They kindly fixed it for $45 and placed a apple lcd in for me helping me to maintain warranty if I decide to trade it in. I was very aggravated that I was charged $165 for a non apple lcd. This is probably why I had issues for it responding properly and my screen cracked so fast as well. read more

Please do NOT use this place. Although my friend mentioned their replacement screen popped off at the top I figured I'd give the store a chance. I took my phone to get the broken glass replaced. A few weeks later as I took my phone out of its case the top of my phone (the white/glass) peeled off just like my friends phone. We took the phone to get fixed today. My boyfriend had seen glue on the back of the phone so the employee took it into the back to "clean it off". The glue or whatever the employee used to "clean off" the glue SCRATCHED MY PHONE. The employees are very nice don't get me wrong, but they are NOT professionals. Do not bring them a broken phone, it'll just get worse!! This place protects itself from your complaints! - here's how.... [*** The best thing about this review is that Alex can't dispute it without putting himself in a bad spot! He can't say that he provided me detailed documentation, because when you go there and drop off your phone and ask him for a detailed claim check/receipt, you will find he will not want to provide that because he doesn't want to give you any info that can be later used against him! But, if by chance he does change his ways and starts to provide detailed claim checks and receipts, well then that will just benefit you the customer :) ] IMPORTANT: Most people don't know that you can dispute a charge for a bad repair up to SIX months from the charge date (check with your credit card company). But in order to win a dispute, you need good documentation, which I will explain below. When I walked into the store, an unsupervised teen was repairing a customer's phone while watching a youtube video on how to do it - very professional!!! While I was there, I heard him asking a customer if they wanted a regular replacement screen, or the better Apple screen. But I don't think this place is even an authorized apple repair center, so if he says he will use genuine apple parts, I would be hard pressed to believe it, especially since a lot of other reviews here complain that their screen broke again very easily, and also the fact that he said he was going to use a genuine OEM screen on my phone, but he didn't (see below). I brought a phone in to have a broken screen replaced. He takes the phone from me and asks for my name and phone number, then and hands me his store's business card - No claim check with the make and model of my phone, description of the work I wanted done - nothing! That was a red flag and should have taken my phone back and walked out. It was only after I asked for formal documentation did he provide it. Second, I wanted the screen to be replaced with OEM parts - meaning parts directly from the maker of the phone, not after market or third-party parts, so he charged me more for that. When I pick up the phone, he handed me a receipt and all it said was "Replaced screen on phone". It did not state that the replacement was an OEM part, and it didn't even state the make and model of my phone (red flag #2) A few months later, I started to notice scratches on the screen, indicating that this was not an OEM part from the phone maker - it was an after market screen that didn't have the gorilla glass protection on it! It was then I realized why this guy doesn't put much in writing - so you can't DISPUTE the credit card charge or sue him in small claims court! Because now I'm screwed - The little documentation he did provide doesn't even describe my phone's make or model or that he was suppose to use genuine OEM parts, so I wouldn't be able to prove anything to my credit card company or a small claims judge/mediator! So, my only advice is if you are still desperate to use this guy to repair your phone, then make sure your claim check has this info on it: - The make and model of your phone - The current condition of the phone (ie "everything works great (including camera, etc) - ONLY problem is that the screen is broken") This way if you get the phone back in worse shape you have documentation that it wasn't like that when you gave it to him. - The repair cost (so he can't say it is a different price when you pick up the phone) - A statement that he "Will use genuine Apple parts" - I bet you he will not want to put this on the claim check! - When will the repair be completed. This way if he doesnt fix the phone in the agreed time, you can get back your phone without any charge. And in the unlikely event he looses your phone, you can start a small claims suit against him after this date. - States the warranty details for the work he is doing *** IMPORTANT - Make a copy of the claim check because he will probably ask you for it back when you pick up your phone, and the new receipt will not have all the info on it that the claim check had on it (for example, the receipt won't have the phone's original condition before you had it repaired, so if you don't save a copy of the claim check, you won't be able to prove any new problems) Then when you pick up the phone, make sure the receipt says: - Make and model of the phone - What repairs were done - make sure this is detailed otherwise if his repair fails, you have no proof that his work failed. - That he used "genuine apple (or samsung, etc) parts". This way if you ever find out he didn't use genuine parts (because you had to bring your phone to someone else because this guy did such a bad job), then you can sue to get your money back for his repair. - States the SAME warranty details and term for the repair just as was stated on the claim check The above info is what ANY reputable repair shop should be happy to provide. So if he resists for any of it, I would walk out. Good luck! read more

These guys were super helpful. Broke my iPhone 6s that I hadn't even had for 2 weeks. Within 20 mins had the screen repaired. Alex was super helpful in helping me decide on a case that would prevent me from breaking my phone again (broke another phone just a couple of months ago too) On a side note I listen to Alex hep another customer that he could have easily ripped off with a battery issue- instead he explained to him that it wasn't necessary and gave him other options to help with his problem. I came in to this shop with two phones, only with the intention to repair one. One of the phones had a broken home button, the other a cracked screen. The guy working was very nice, and looked at both phones. He took the time to repair the home button with no charge, and repaired the screen and I was in and out within a half hour.
