My first visit into iProdigy was great. One of the owners Alex was able to repair my iPhone screen for a much lower price than other options in the area as well as Verizon and Apple. He replaced the screen in under an hour and I was a very happy customer. 9 days later my phone dropped on my CARPET and the phone shattered again. I went in and spoke to Alex again and explained how I thought it was weird that the phone shattered in carpet and he claimed that there might have been hardwood floor underneath and perhaps that's why it broke again. He took off 15 dollars and charged me again to replace the phone screen. At that point I had spent $256 on two screens in nine days. Once I left with the new screen I realized my calls were being dropped, FaceTime was being activated and the screen barely worked when I tapped it. I didn't get a chance to get back but three weeks later by screen broke AGAIN. I went with a different company because I didn't need to be charged again from the same place three times in two months. The technician that replaced my screen while he was replacing the screen found that almost all of the screws were missing from whoever installed it last, a plastic piece was left on the screen, and the sensor so that the screen goes black when you put it to your face was never activated. He could not believe the poor workmanship. I explained to him that was the second screen that company replaced and he said he wasn't surprised if this is the type of work they do. When I called Alex two weeks later to explain my frustration he could not care less. Claimed screws break all the time, they leave plastic on for security purposes and that all he could offer was store credit. Why on earth would I spend more money at this store after I've already wasted $256 for nothing. I explained to him that this was unacceptable and he would not budge claiming they have been open for 9 years and they do all the schools, fire departments, and police departments in the area. Not sure why he thought that would make things better. I will certainly be escalating this and contacting the BBB about this incident. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

This place is awesome! I don't easily give a 5-star rating, but this place deserves it. I went there to get my iPhone 4 screen fixed...One of my friends recommended this place , they are located nearby- right off Sunrise highway in Merrick, and I was simply amazed with their services. Price , Quality and Customer service is by far "the Best" in Long Island... . The guys there are very knowledgeable. They were fast in repairing my phone and fixed the home button too. Went and had my iPhone screen fixed. Everything was ok for five days then as I'm using my phone I see a crack appear and it just ends up going the entire length of the phone. Now I could see if I dropped it but I didn't it happened as I was using it. Went back to the store the next day and the manager said sorry nothing we can do other then fix it again and charge you. Some scam these crooks have going here. Ended up going to Groupon and found someone to fix it for $30 cheaper and it's now been two weeks and it's still perfect. read more

EXTREMELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! They did not live up to expectations! Only reason I went there was because they offered a loaner phone. Loaner phone was piece of garbage iPhone 5 that would not hold a charge, therefore I was without phone for a week during repair. ALSO, they DAMAGED my phone during the repair process. Got it back with SCRAPES AND SCRATCHES apparently from when they clumsily opened phone casing. Would never go there again and would not recommend to anyone. This place is a ripoff. I brought my iPhone 4S in because apparently I bought a non working screen from online. I tried to replace it but the touchscreen didn't work. They said $85. I said fine. I wanted the screen that I put in back, they wanted to charge me $15 for that ...to have my own screen back! Also they did not screw anything back in. I brought it in, apparently I didn't do it right so I didn't screw it back. They wanted $15 just to screw in the small screws. Not friendly whatsoever. Don't see them being there to much longer. I was so leary of going to a cellphone fixit type place. Kept feeling like I should go straight to Apple but I knew I would have a long wait and it would be expensive. So, I called a few local fixits to compare their prices for fixing the screen of an iphone 7. My first impression when I was lost on how to get there should of told me not to go. I called because I was not sure on where it was and who ever answered the phone was very rude but decided to go anyway. I dropped of my sons iPad mini to replace a broken screen and was told it would cost me 125.00 okay fine left it with them and returned not even an hour later to pick it up because I realized I had a warranty from Best Buy and they would fix it for nothing. The owner stated they took the broken screen off already and said he would have to put it back on I said no problem. He handed it back to me I went out to car to turn it on and it did not work. I went back in store and told him it did not work and his answer to me was I'll fix it for 125.00 ??? I already took it apart and too bad I will fix it for you but you need to pay. I accidentally spilled water on my 6 year old Mac book. The computer would not start up or charge. I waited at the Genius Bar at Apple for 1 1/2 hours. The tech checked it out and told me that the computer short circuited, nothing could be done, and that I should purchase a new one. I took my Computer to iProdigy later that day and spoke to "Mike." He asked me to leave it so he could check it out. He called me a few hours later with great news. He was able to repair it for a very, very reasonable fee !! Guy is a crook , sold me a tempered glass 5 months ago for $20 .. First didnt even tell me the price and just installed it .. So i said whatever , he said his is legit and itll withstand anything ... I shattered my iPhone screen and knew it was going to be somewhere around $100 but a lot of places charge that and use really poor quality screens. This place was great. were super nice and helpful. This is definitely a go-to place if you need a quick fix. I cracked my screen on my iPhone 4S this morning after dropping it on my basement floor. After doing a somewhat extensive Google search and making several phone calls, I decided this was the place to go to, and i'm very happy that I did. The staff were super friendly, even letting me change the channel on the television while I waited for my phone... and from the time I walked in with my cracked phone, to the time I walked out with my phone good as new, was all of 20 minutes. Iprodigy is Great!!! A few months ago they replaced my iPad 3 screen and pulled out a dented bevel (metal corner). The iPad is like brand new. I went back today to repair my shattered iPhone 4 screen. They replaced it in less than an hour and it is like brand new. I'm writing this review on it right now. Too start i call and ask how much a screen is for a Iphone 7. The man on the phone says $99 so i said ok sounds good. I went there and told him i had just called and that i was given a quote of $99 well then he looks at my phone and goes ohh well you see the yellow spots ur phone has lcd damage that would be $135 or something like that then he asks me after i said ok because i believed him he says which glass do you want our glass or the manufacture glass? NOW, of course im gunna say manufacturers glass because i want my phone to be good so i said that and he goes ok then its $159 i said ok sure no problem because obviously the manufacture glass will be more so i ask if i pay now or later he says later..... so i come back and my phone is "fixed" right well while im waiting for him to ting me up i hear him telling another girl oh you see this here thats lcd damage its gunna be $135 now... SCAM!!! Then this is the BEST PART after i notice change in color of the phone and the glass doesbt look the same as the old glass the "manufacture glass" i said look this isnt the same as the other glass and the color is different he goes oh yeah its not the same glass its just made by the same people WHAT THE FUCK THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!! Very Excellent Store, I came in to have my iPhone 5 cracked screen fixed. The staff was helpful and the phone was fixed in about 15 minutes. While I am not an iPhone fan, I would recommend this store to anyone who is. I liked that I got to play Grand Theft Auto V while I waited. My only complaints are that the store was pretty hot, and they really could use a few more places to sit while you wait for the phone(s) to be fixed. Recommended. read more

Don't go here unless you want a broken phone after getting it fixed. Brought my phone here for a simple screen replacement and when I returned to pick it up they ruined it, a password that was not previously required to get on the phone is now required. No way to know what this password is therefore locked out of my phone. Keep in mind this phone has never had a password on it. We can't get into the phone and have to restart and lose everything on the device. Paid money to lose everything. Very frustrating. Highly recommend not going here unless you are willing to lose EVERYTHING. read more

The staff seemed knowledgable and hey also have a nice selection of cases you can look at while you wait. We paid $85 to have phone fixed which I thought was a competitive price since most places charge $100+ on LI.
