Let me just say my experience today was horrible!! First off I had to hang on the door even though they were supposed to be open. I had to call for an employe to even show up and then I was told there is no way I could fix it. When I asked all they said was there is nothing. But i guess they don't realize they could have told me to replace it. The last two times I was here they charged me 400$ for a small crack in my dads ipad. And when I got my ipad fixed I was given a estimate of 1 day and 4 days later I got my ipad back. I have to say this was one of the worse experiences I have had getting a device fixed. I am so glad that I met Joshua! My 6yo Dell laptop was giving me a weird error message about my power adapter not being recognized. This laptop has never given me any issues so I was so hoping that it would be an easy remedy. Quick background info...I originally brought my laptop to the other location in Great Neck, but Daniel just read the error message and said "it was fine." He never even touched my laptop or tried to diagnose the issue. I left the store not feeling right with his assessment and was even wondering if I should just buy a new laptop. Well, I am so glad that I didn't give up on it. My brother-in-law told me to try this location as Joshua had fixed things for him in the past and he was happy with his work. This is a fantastic operation. I recently found them through yelp when I had an issue with my laptop. The owner Jay and his lead man Dan were personable, efficient, and extremely knowledgeable. They diagnosed the issue very quickly and even though the issue turned out to be some thing that I wasn't going to fix due to the laptop age, they still spent time with me and explained options and recommendations. They also identified what I did to likely cause the issue in the first place. They never asked for any payment for their time and guidance. Found the employees here very rude and their services over priced. Brought my cracked screen in to be replaced and it came back to me not swiping/scrolling properly (and dropped it again before being able to bring to back - apparently voiding my warranty). Only later did I find out that Apple will fix an iPhone 6 screen for $129 (I paid $150 here) and I'm sure with less issues. Save yourself the headache and go to a real professional. read more

Just came here to get a price quote on a surface tablet. Seems like they went in the back and researched the parts and how much work would be put into this repair. Guy came back and gave me a price - a little too high for me to fix since it's a company tablet. However, he did not force me into getting it fixed and was very honest with me. Explained to me I had a warranty as well and may have some leeway. All and all - came in got the wire wasn't pushed around and was told in an honest matter. Horrible customer service. The employees were very rude. I was told that I was wasting their time and was also told that I shouldn't go around breaking my phone. It was a very unprofessional setting, I heard one of the employees yelling at someone on the phone (while the store was still open) and could barley understand the guy at the front desk because he was mumbling. I was already warned by someone not to go in there, and should have listened. At the end of the day when I go into any shop expecting to be treated nicely, didn't experience that here. read more

Do NOT get your I Phone screen fixed here. They fixed my cracked screen last Spring, gave it back to me and a day later screen started going haywire. Took it back waited an hour while they replaced the screen, gave it back to me and an hour later same problem. Took it back AGAIN (I had spent $130) they fixed it again, it was okay for a few months then over the Summer whenever it got hot screen would just go haywire. Of course 90 day warranty was over. Even so would not take it back again since they have no idea what they are doing. I had to shut my phone down every time the screen started going hay wire. Pretty sure they use cheap Chinese screens. Finally took it to Apple and got it fixed correctly at a cost of $150.00. They are cheaper than everyone else but like everything in life you get what you pay for. These guys have been a lifesaver for me. They've replaced shattered screens for me two times now and most recently they managed to revive my phone after I left it outside in the rain. They have an incredibly quick turnaround time and do everything they can to accommodate you- last time they managed to find me a new screen and rushed to finish the repair because I was running late. Plus they were so nice about it. The prices are very fair, they are quick to explain the costs upfront so there are no surprises, and they've also gone out of their way to offer me discounts when possible. Left a phone and an Ipad to be repaired. Got the phone back, same issue, not working. Waited through several promises for the return of my ipad. Have now been to the store at least 7 times. They ruined my iPad. I brought it in to replace a cracked digitizer. It was returned with the digitizer coming unglued and not working properly. After returning 3 times I gave up. They are full of excuses and keep you waiting at the store. The iPad still had areas where it separates from the frame and the digitizer had areas where it will not respond to touch. I had to pay another repair shop to have it work properly. Save your money. read more

Was excited to try this place.. they have an excuse everytine i came in.. already came in twice after paying $150 for new screen.. like its my fault.. clearly the screen was rising up the first time should never have even let me leave store with work done like that.. then the second screen wasnt letting the touch fingerprint to work.. kept saying im in warranty timeframe im good.. okay great.. you would fix this no matter what:. Things should be done correctly the first time and thoroughly checked so anyone wouldnt have to come in two times! They are very nice in the other location as well (having computer fixed and an ipad currently). Waiting to see how that goes.. should be better than iphone situation. Things should just be alittle more thought out in repairing phone especially when the customer is paying a decent amount of money.. they say they use quality screens well things wouldnt be faulty if they did.. my opinion.. really didnt want to write anything but the excuses must be a must to tell people so it doesnt look like their fault. I took my iPhone5 in for a what I though should be a simple repair - the lock button was stuck. My phone was 99% functioning, I just wanted it to be 100%. I left with a 10% functioning phone. I say 10% because it works on Wi-Fi. To start off, I dropped my phone off and was told it would be done at 1pm. I get a call after 1 saying they need more time because they cannot connect it to service. I go to pick it up at 3pm and still it's not working. I was told he has a sure way to fix, which also didn't work. And then I was told they he would refund me what he charged me to fix my lock button, as though he was doing me a favor. I took in a phone that was completely fine, and left the store with a dud phone. I was told if I had a upgrade that I should use it and get a new phone or take it to Verizon or Apple. If I could do either, I wouldn't have put my trust in a place called "REPAIR SHARKS" to fix it and would have gone straight to them, clearly that wasn't an option for me. BUT they were extremely sorry for the inconvenience however the issue my phone had was due to the software so there was nothing further they could do. They had "tried" to help me, but it was me calling the store for any updates. At NO POINT did I EVER get a phone call asking me if I had a replacement or any kind of updates even though I was told "we'll keep in touch." After this I spoke to three other repair stores and they all couldn't believe that this happened, how they could let me walk out with a dud phone, how a phone technician doesn't know how to fix something he essentially broke and how unprofessional they have been with the whole situation. I gave it 2 stars, because maybe at the end of the day I want to believe it's a software issue even though I can't wrap my head around how unprofessional and how much they don't care. I would never trust them to repair anything again, that's for sure. My iPhone 6 turned off yesterday pretty much randomly and it wouldn't turn back on. Stupid me didn't back up over 7,000 pictures and hundreds of contacts and documents I need for work. After panicking all day at work I visited the Apple Store as Roosevelt Field. I waited the expected 25-30 minutes as usual which was no problem but when the Genius Bar came to my assistance I got the exact opposite of assistance. I explained to them my problem how the phone wont turn on passed the white Apple icon during start up and I was told they can swap me for a new phone or there's nothing else they can do if the phone doesn't reach the home screen. They Apple employee literally spent about 5 minutes with me AT MOST. I found it hard to believe that there was nothing that could be done to help. I then came across Dan at Repair Sharks in Great Neck on Northern Blvd. I visited the store and he explained its a tough position to be in and he will do his best to help. Within 15 minutes my phone was up and running!!! He plugged it into his Mac/iTunes, Updated the Software and its working PERFECTLY! Moral of the story, Apple didn't give me the time a day and Repair Sharks was honest, helpful and affordable. Being in their store I could see all types of Macs, iPhones, Samsungs and Computers being repaired. Dan was a great help and I truly recommend Repair Sharks.
