The shop owner told me that he wanted to try charging it for an hour before doing anything unnecessary to my iPad; such as opening it apart. I later received a phone call that my iPad was just fine, it was just an issue with the charger. I was not charged for the diagnostics but I decided to buy the charger and an iPad cover from him, just because he was so kind and honest with me. We need more repair shops like this. Unfortunately most places will just fix things that don't need repair and charge you for it.

I would avoid going to the mall kiosks as they charge whatever they want, tells you it will take x minutes to fix even when it shouldn't take that long and uses off-brand replacement parts. I did a Google search & decided to give this place a call- Vijay ordered the Samsung lens for me and 2 days later, I drove 30 mins. here & got it fixed for a very reasonable price. He was a cool guy- always responsive, friendly and it took him less than 15 minutes to replace the lens. Highly recommend I Fix for all your tech repair needs *call first*. They also sell phones, prepaid plans & accessories.

I dropped my Galaxy S7 Edge and cracked the glass, so I came here on a Saturday to get my phone…read morefixed because I had no more claims available with the insurance. They charged $340 to fix it (which is less than buying out what I owed on it, and also less than what I was getting quoted at other phone repair stores, because this glass and screen is very fragile). Also, they were able to fix the phone there and then, whereas other stores had to order the glass/screen because they didn't have it in stock. After leaving with my glass fixed and screen working, I went home and about 3 hours later, my screen was fully black, no picture at all, but I could still receive calls and texts. I messaged him on Yelp and they agreed to come in on Sunday (their day off) to fix the issue. They showed me that there was a scratch on the top of the phone that wasn't there when they fixed the phone the day before (which cannot be confirmed because they didn't tell me they inspect the phones before and after fixing) and that there was a hairline crack in the LED screen, implying that I must've dropped or damaged the phone. I explained that I did not drop the phone again at all, and that the phone was placed on my counter and was working fine. I left it alone for 3 hours and when I got back to it, the screen was black. The owner stated that he didn't technically believe me, but he agreed to replace the screen for free (which I appreciated because it was very expensive). Again 3 hours later, the screen went to black. I was very upset and frustrated at this point, and went back on Monday to show them the problem was not and was NEVER me. They didn't want to risk opening the phone up again because the screen and glass on the phone is so delicate (nor did they have another screen to replace it with) so since the phone was an insurance replacement received within a year, they told me to call insurance to say that their replacement is malfunctioning and then insurance would send me a new phone. I cannot give them a 5 star rating because the screen did not work twice and they implied that I had something to do with it the first time. However, since they came in the store on a day that it was normally closed to look at the phone, and they replaced it for free without charging me a second time, there was an attempt made to rectify the situation, so I gave 2 stars.

Brought in 2 laptops to be repaired. One was something that they couldn't fix because the laptop…read morewas a but old, fine. My problem with my other laptop was the GPU fan had stopped working. I asked for a quote before anything was done and they told me $150. I seemed hesitant and that's when the other worker from inside the office (owner or manager?) came out and tried to convince me it would take a few hours of labor and they would have to apply new thermal gel(I later found out this was not a huge deal). This seemed a little fishy to me so I told them I would think about it and left with my items. Forward to a week later, I ordered a new fan from amazon, costed me $16 and VOILA!, problem fixed in about 40 minutes. Moral of the story, do your homework before you take your electronics anywhere to get fixed to avoid getting hustled.

Awesome service, knowledgable technician and honest business…read more I was in the middle of a phone crisis. My iphone was on the fritz, the screen was cracked and it was totally out of commission. I feared the worst and thought I was going to need a new one, but decided to give Repair Sharks a shot. I didn't know exactly where it was and didn't gave the GPS. The shop is located in an office building on a rather quiet part of Northern Blvd in Great Neck. I actually spotted Chris in the parking lot and wanted to ask if I was in the right spot. He took me in 5 min early, turned on the lights to the shop and helped me immediately. He took apart my phone, explained the process, explained the risks and the possible solutions and was able to fix the phone at a very, very reasonable fee. He offered advice and his expertise and was friendly and helpful. When I got home, there were still issues. I called Chris who responded right away and assisted with more support. I cannot express how grateful I am for his assistance and personalized attention. Hopefully I will not need his services again for a long time, but if anyone I know needs help I will tell them that this is the place!
