Drove to 9431 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX, only to be advised that was wrong information due to the nature of the issue. Instead of turning me away as most would, the Store Manager (Mark) took his own time (which was over an hour) making multiple calls to customer service and facilitating an equipment return that "Corporate" could not resolve. Corporate literally advised I would need to drive to Irving TX (3.75 hour drive!) to take care of issue! Mark kept at it to help me and got the job done. Thank you Mark! I went to this location today around 7pm.The manager at this location customer service was HORRIBLE. I am currently a verizon customer and have never been to this location. I was trying to get a phone for my business and the lady that worked here didn't know what to do so she asked the manager. The manager began to try to set up my business account. He went against the policy a few times one to begin to say to me "How do you even know about _______??" Which was extremely rude to me I have a business of course I know everything that is required for my business. He stated my application was put on hold for some reason and did not give me any explanation. Everyone has the right to know why their application is on hold. He called the number and at first stated that no one might answer and let me hear while on speaker. Had the phone on speaker the whole time but when the lady answered he removed it from speaker so I could not hear. Went into the store around mid March (last month) to upgrade my phone from Galaxy s5 to s7 edge so that I can have a spanking sharp new camera for my spring break vacation. Prior to my visit, I knew that my phone WAS eligible to upgrade since I remembered getting the s5 in Feb. 2 years ago. But NO! Jessica told me otherwise!!! After checking my account on her tablet with my phone number, I was informed that I couldn't upgrade my phone until mid April. "Come back in a month so you don't have to pay extra to upgrade your phone". I asked her to confirm that info twice and she gave me the look like why the heck I'm still here bothering her. Well woman, sorry that I was being so confused and contradicted because I thought I was eligible to upgrade (which again, I WAS, indeed)! Not only that I went online to check my account again for the actual date, the associate at the Gessner store also confirmed that my eligible date was 2/14/16! Anyhow, I mainly want to write this review with high hope that Jessica can get recognized for providing "such" customer service and managed to save the store from selling another s7, especially to those loyal customers of Verizon like myself. I make an effort to avoid this store, they have changed management over the last decade but the store's customer service is the worst. I will drive to the post oak location if I need a SIM card. The people who work here are sales people and provide little customer service, they will do everything they can to open a new line rather than help setup a device on an existing line. I just wanted to speak on my experience with Roxanne, specifically. She offered to call the billing department as they didn't have direct ability to issue refund for travel passes that had been applied to my account while on a business trip. One: I never knew I had a travel pass or that I would be paying for one. Two: I had my phone on wifi the entire time and never realized I was using said "travel pass". I checked my bills 2 weeks later from arriving home and it had an additional $140 added to it making it $300.......... That's crazy..... I've never had any issues with Verizon, my bill comes out automatically each month so this was crazy to me. We had spoke to a total of 3 people over the phone in order to come to a conclusion: me being refunded $120 for the travel passes. It was like pulling teeth trying to explain to this why me being charged for these travel passes was wrong and that despite my lack of knowledge regarding the travel passes, I should have been refunded or credited immediately. There really was no reason to be on the phone for over an hour but she held it down and made sure I got the refunds so I just wanted to let her know I appreciate her time, energy & her patience. The sales rep never checked to see if we had insurance...which we did. The month before my husband got the family insurance and didn't tell her. Went here with my boyfriend because he finally shattered and killed his phone with AT&T and decided to switch to Verizon as well as buy a new phone. We had previously gone to an AT&T store as well, and weren't really sold on renewing a plan there. He was able to open a plan, get a new phone with accessories and managed to get sold on a tablet, all within an hour. It's only been less than a month, so we will see how Verizon's customer service holds up. For the last 6 months I have been calling Verizon to lower my bill because I felt like $178.45 a month is too much to be paying for Internet and TV service. Almost every month when I called I would hear the same thing "Sorry that is the best we can do". I started calling around to see if I could find something cheaper so I called TWC ( Time Warner Cable ) and they offered me $125 a month for TV with 2 DVR and HD boxes, Internet (fast download) and home phone which would save me $53 per month. Today I called Customer Service (who couldn't find my acct) then found it, transferred me to Disconnections and Disconnections offered me $128 since they knew I was going to leave them. Why didn't they offer this to me a month ago or even 6 months ago when they knew I was looking for something cheaper. They then transferred me over to John the Supervisor who also told me that since I was cancelling I would have to pay a $160 termination of contract fee. I informed John that Verizon was actually in breach by not living up to customer service expectations. Before you switch to Verizon or if you are thinking of other providers, make sure you know what the competition is charging. Time Warner Cable came out on a Sunday to hook me up - Internet - 30 mg download, TV - 200 channels and Home Phone for $125 per month. Verizon - Learn what Customer Service means. Update: Ultimately after 1 1/2 hours, I was able to return my device and not pay the restocking fee because it was a faulty device. However, I received my bill today, one month later, and the store representative did not disconnect my line when I returned my device, so I was charged for the line fee. I called customer service and she had to call the store to fix it, since they were supposed to fix it from the beginning. So I waited on hold for a total of 45 minutes. The customer service rep came back on the line and said the store rep had given her attitude and wouldn't fix it! The store rep would not work with her at all. The customer service rep on the phone fixed it for me, crediting my account for the line fee and the early termination fee, which I should never have been charged because the device was returned within the return period. Needless to say, I will never go back to this store and would advise anyone who reads this to stay away. read more

I've been a Verizon customer for more than 10 years. I've really never had any issues with service, so there's no complaining in that area. However, after the last Sumsung update for the Note 3, I had major issues with my phone. I couldn't get it to charge for anything! I finally stopped in to this location to have someone take a look at my device and see what the issue could be. I was quickly approached and assisted upon entering the store. That was where the good experience ended. I explained my issue to the employee and he took my phone to "the back" to plug it in to see if he received the same error message when charging. Two minutes later, he was back and said he had the same issue. He basically told me there was nothing that could be done and this wasn't because of Verizon - but Samsung. UMmmmmm, excuse me.....I purchased my device through Verizon - they dang well better fix the issue! He told me that "his co-workers wife had the same issue with her phone and she just waited until the next update came out and the issue was resolved." Really? Wait to charge my phone until the next update comes out? He said that because the phone was only 2 1/2 months old, they could do a factory warranty replacement, but it would have the same issues I was currently experiencing as it was all related to that system. Okay.... I was not in the mood to argue, so I took my device and was on my way. The next day I logged into my online account with Verizon and the awesome techs addressed my issue and quickly walked me through the steps to resolve my issue. All without waiting for that darn system update. I don't know if it was lack of knowledge, or laziness, but I was not impressed with the way my issue was handled in the store. read more

I just wish they would have more phones in stock or they would ship the phone out sooner than 2 weeks, but that has nothing to do with the store, just Verizon Corporate. Their attitudes are entitled and defensive, and the manager, Felix, blame their position on the limited customer/rep experience on Covid. All I wanted to do, was simply upgrade my phone and add another line. After almost two hrs we got almost nowhere with a deal and I walked out with two phones I knew nothing about. Unlike other Verizon locations I've been to with my almost 7 years with the company, I've never had to deal with reps who had absolutely no knowledge of their job and are outright rude with wanton disregard for solving the problems and issues of the customer. As another person explained, the reps at this location love to "create more problems than they do solve" and will in turn blame you for being problematic. In my honest opinion if you're looking for help with your Verizon needs try other locations in Houston Metro area, but I would not recommend this place to any existing or potential Verizon customer. read more

Summary: Always review the service plans they provide you online as it may not be the one they give you. Staff needs to work on acknowledging customers in their store rather than to talk to coworkers about their fantasy football teams. With only 3 customers being attended to by 3 employees, you would think the 4th would acknowledge you came in by the time you've been waiting in line for the past 15 minutes. Once I got someone to attend to me, I got a rep who never looked up and represented the company like they worked at a prison cafeteria. Specific instructions were given to the rep on what was required with a goal to reduce costs. Upon a few minutes I was asked to sign off on what I assumed was the agreement which I had requested. Once home, I checked online and discovered that they did not provide what I had asked for and literally had tripled my bill. So I called customer service to fix it. Overall, terrible customer service in this store. Can't wait until you are replaced with a vending machine kiosk that dispenses phones. read more

It's close to my house so I been there around 15times for the past 8years and every visit I hoped that they have changed the horrible employees that worked there only to find out that the new ones are even worse!! The more Verizon upgrade its service the more this location's service supersedes it but in horribleness (4G LTE+ horrible). Recently I came to the conclusion that the real problem is the management. they recruit employees to reflect their image... Very dishonest, tricky, try to confuse you with numbers, and they only help you (get you proper attention and time) if you are there to sign new service, upgrade, or buy something... I've found that the Post Oak (next to wholefoods) is the best, super nice people and very helpful! You walk-in needing help and you walk-out all things cleared to your satisfaction. So if you have an emergency and absolutely in need to get into the bunker hill location, please make sure to record the conversation and/or have them write it down and to sign it by at least 2employees and 1manager with their 10 fingers Prints each!! With the amount of money I pay them through those years, I expected a decent service at least from this location.
