Rarely do I take the time to leave a review, but my experience was so positive when visiting this Verizon store this morning, that I felt it was my duty to do so. I was trying to get my newly purchased Verizon MiFi device and my pre-paid line working so that I could use it with an Arlo security camera that will be mounted in my stable in order to monitor a mare who is about to have her foal. Brandon S. and Daniel W. took the time to troubleshoot my issue and resolve it efficiently. Their customer support skills should be commended - they are great communicators, professional, friendly, and of course technically savvy. There is 100% a reason why the store has a one star rating. Extremely hard/pushing sales on products you have no interest in even when you say no, loads of unexpected charges, such as charges for activation, for them to transfer the information to your new phone, restocking charges.....just a ton of charges that weren't all explained to us on our first visit. We were given conflicting stories on what they could do and what the charges would be and then they were different with the next visit and the next person. Cody was able to call his GM and get a restocking fee waived when I wanted to exchange an item, but I would not have been so upset if these charges had been presented to me in the first place. I was not told exchanging an used item for a different one less than 24 hours later would result in $50 worth of restocking charges. I appreciate Cody's willingness to attempt to make me happier but transparency is what I expect on my first visit. I don't like patronizing a place that is going to try to hide fees. And I expect employees to all abide by the same policies. read more

I went to the Verizon on 5599 Spectpum Dr in frederick for the first time oh my goodness the worse customer service I ever had. The only one working I guess he didn't want to be there so he took it out on me I walk out of that store and I will never go back!!! Lied to our faces on two separate occasions. Once about needing to upgrade every phone on our plan to use one upgrade and a second time about the warranty on a Lifeproof phone case, stating that the warranty would replace both the case and phone if anything happened when the phone was not actually covered, potentially costing me ~$600 if the phone had broken before I found out the actual terms. THIS IS NOT AN ACTUAL VERIZON STORE. They call themselves a Verizon Wireless "premium retailer," meaning that they will sell you the exact same products you can find at a legitimate Verizon store (like the one on the Golden Mile) for higher prices and in my case, lie to you to make even more money. Terrible experience, terrible establishment. I strongly recommend everyone to avoid this place like one would avoid lepresy. read more

I wouldn't give this place any stars if I could . absolute WORSE customer service I've ever experienced in my life from Verizon . I've been with Verizon for almost 10 years and never have I ever had a person "help" me be so rude . I went in store to make a payment.. first off he wasn't nice to me when I went in. standing there huffing and puffing the entire time he was helping me out . told me there was a $3 fee to make a payment in store in cash . what ? when I asked him why he said "we charge you guys $3 cause that's what Verizon charges us" umm I get that you're not a corporate store but neither is the stand in the mall .. Or even the Verizon on westview . NEVER been charged to make a payment EVER . next .. he gave me shit about getting into the account needed all kinds of unnecessary information and was extremely rude about it . so I decided to skip making my cash payment and instead of making a partial gift card payment ... he REFUSED to give me a receipt when I asked for one .. told me that it was credited towards my account but couldn't give me the validation . what the F . rudely turned the screen to show me that the screen said "unavailable" . then just stood there and stared at me when I told him that I needed one . didn't say anything .. no apology for the computer supposedly not working .. just repeated that he couldn't give me one . Worst customer service ever. Employee was rude and seemed as if we inconvenienced her by coming in. I visited this location for a screen protector. I asked if she had a trash can to throw away my old protector and was told they don't have a trash can. She sat in her chair didn't make any eye contact nor did she explain anything as to what was going on throughout the process. She was starring at her phone scrolling through it. Once she decided to keep us waiting and do something she couldn't get my case off which they put on she barely tried at that. She tells me she can't get it off and didn't want to do anymore. So I simply mentioned that it was put on there and she said well do you want me to rip it off?! Are you kidding me? You should be trained to work with the product you sell moron! So then I ask to speak with someone else to further assist me she told me that there wasn't anybody to help us. If you can't do your damn job confidently and treat customers like they're first then don't work. Beyond lazy and disrespectful to customers. I visited the real Verizon and was pleasantly greeted and had my screen protector on by a well trained staff member who knew what they were doing in no time flat. This sub contracted store is a disgrace to Verizon and has young immature kids who treat people poorly. They also over charge for the same stuff Verizon will sell. Wouldn't go there every again and best of luck to those who do because you'll have an awful experience and be treated like it's your fault. read more

On October 18, 2014. My husband and I purchased our iPhone 6 from Verizon. They were ordered because the store did not have them in stock. On October 25, 2014 my phone arrived, I went to the store to make the switch for T-Mobile to Verizon. I also purchased a warranty for lost or stolen for an extra amount of money. Everything went fine. I was happy with my new phone and the service. On March 24, 2015. I lost my phone. I called the Verizon's 800 number for customer service to make the claim; however, I was informed that I have never purchased the warranty. I was told that I had to pay $800 for a new phone because I did not have any warranty. I was advised to call eSecuritel (Warranty Company) to double check on the warranty. On March 24, 2015. I called eSecuritel to ask for my phone warranty. I was told again that I did not have any phone warranty that I have to purchase a new phone at regular price. On March 25, 2015 I made the decision to purchase another phone with a different carrier because that was the only way not to pay for the whole price of the phone. I was even willing to pay the $350 early termination fee from Verizon. (I had no choice). On April 1, 2015. I was able to find my original sales receipt and to my surprise, the Verizon's sales representative (Amber Killer) had made a mistake on my bill. She typed the wrong phone number for my warranty. That's why Verizon and eSecuritel were never able to find warranty under my phone number. On April 1,2015. I went to the store to make the complaint but I was in shock by the assistant manager response. 1. He said I should have never called the Verizon 800 number because they don't know what is going on in the stores. 2. I was yelled and treated as if I was stupid by calling the 800 number. He repeatedly said that I was wrong for calling the 800 number. 3. He did not acknowledge the mistake made by Amber. Instead he became defensive and started an argument with me saying that he was "done talking to me". He also said that Amber just made a small mistake because probably she was busy. 4. There were other sales representatives present in the store at that moment. They started laughing and making jokes about my complaint. The more the assistant manager yelled the more they laugh. 5. I left the store so distressed and emotionally disturbed for what just had happened to me. I still cannot believe how unfairly and mistreated I was. This type of behavior from people who is supposed to be helping others should not be acceptable. I am a Veteran of war who survived the Iraqi Freedom Operation. I have proudly served the United States Army, I was never treated like this. Not even during war times. read more

Worst customer service ever!!! I will never go back to that store. I bought a new phone the prior week and was unable to get the new phone set up, as the store was busy and one employee. So I showed up Thursday at 10:00 am (11/14/19). The only employee was in the back of the store. A gentleman came in shortly after myself. We both sat while she walked back and forth from the back of the store. Never greeted either of us. The other gentleman walked up to her and made a statement that he had been in the store for sometime and no one had helped him. She snapped and said she was busy. He then asked if there was anyone else working and she snapped again and said no she was busy and to have a seat. Now it's 10:20 and she has yet to help either of us. 10:30 she finally asked me if what I wanted. I explained to her that I just simply needed my info transferred to the new phone which I had purchased last week. She took my phone like i was interrupting her day. In the meantime the gentleman approached her again to ask when he might be helped. She snapped at him yet again, talking over him and said he had his choice to leave and go to another store and he left. Never have a seen someone speak so rudely to a customer. She never said a word to my while she scrolled on her personal phone. I asked her at least twice how long my set up would take and got one word answers while she never looked up from her phone. I actually had another appointment and thought I had given myself plenty of time. I finally left at 11:00 and she handle me the phone without a word. I asked her two questions and she acted annoyed that I had asked her anything. This young girl should be fired. I work in customer service and would have never treated a customer(s) in this way. They claimed my wife's phone was not a Verizon phone when it is and then convinced her to replace her phone when it could have been repeated. So much better than dealing with the Verizon corporate stores! The sales people here actually are quick to acknowledge you and I've never had to wait around for more than a few minutes for service. I've gone through two phone replacement cycles with them and found that they have been much more friendly and straight-forward than any other Verizon sales outlet that I have run across. Our options were explained very clearly and they outlined all charges and fees without needing to be asked. Our sales person, Amber, was very helpful and took extra time to make sure we understood everything and that all of our questions were answered. Avoid this store at all costs. Horrible customer service. Phone sold to me about 13 days ago was defective. Brought it back in to exchange it for the same model phone and, because I failed to show with the original box, they said I had to pay a $25 no box charge. I told them that was ridiculous. I should not have any additional fees to pay since having to return for a defective product is fee enough. They so generously pointed out they were waiving the restocking fee...a restocking fee on a broken device. Please. So, I called a Verizon directly, while in the store, and explained the issue. They told me under no uncertain terms that there is NO fee of any type on a defective device. I had to pay the $25 to this awful store so I could get the new device but Verizon credited me the $25 to my account even before I left the store. So they made $25 off of me, lost a customer for life, a customer who will report here what a terrible store this is, and I was made whole anyway. I should have read these other comments before choosing to go here. These people at this store need a lot of help in learning how to run a business and deal with customers. read more
