HIGHLY recommend. After dropping my iPhone 5S and cracking the face, I opted not to use my insurance and pay the $150 deductible for a replacement. So, I came here... and for around $115, the face to my phone was replaced AND I bought a new hard case and screen cover, which the owner gladly installed. Not only did I save money, but I repurposed my existing phone (good for the environment) and saved stress by not having to deal with the insurance company and their shenanigans. I really appreciated the honesty of their work. The man working there could have easily told me my phone was permanently water damaged and had me replace my screen but instead told me the honest truth and said that if he was the owner of the phone he wouldn't do anything and just hold off the few months to buy a new phone, because the phone will work fine. Just coincidentally John was finishing up with one customer and had time to work with me on my problem right away. He was super clear that this doesn't always happen and not to expect it! CDC specializes in bringing cell phones back from the abyss and boy do they deliver. I don't color myself to be much of a techie so my use of my iPhone 4 can be best described as barbaric. I just want my phones to last the required two years so I don't have to pay a ridiculous upgrade cost. So when my screen cracked I thought I was hosed and was going to have to take a second mortgage for the upgrade but after a recommendation from a friend, CDC was able to fix this issue and my phone is now like new. This place is the best kept secret in Frederick! John is not a man of many words, but he knows technology. My son's cell phone had something internally wrong with it and even though I know it was a difficult repair, John was able to get it functional again. Recently, I went in because my phone I thought was acting strangely because it needed a battery change. John checked the battery and the hardware, and said both were working fine. He did not charge me for the diagnosis. I mean, come on, most service people would charge me for the full hour for the 10 minutes it took him to diagnose that it was probably a recent software update glitch. I had been dealing with a iPhone that is almost 3 years old with a weak battery for about 5-6 months when I finally decided to do something about it. I did the usual search and found this place with great reviews and it was close to me. I stopped by (without calling first) and low and behold a real customer based business!
