With as much as we do on our computers now, nothing puts me in a panic more than when my laptop goes down! No banking, no work - I was paralyzed. I am so thankful I found ITNEEDSHelp. In a matter of minutes after bringing my computer in it was like a huge weight off my shoulders. Van and James are the Best IT Support ever. Van returned my call from my message in the evening before almost immediately after I left the message, I was in there the next day and he had it running in no time. They fixed the problem immediately and went above and beyond in checking my laptops performance and update status. Van explained to me everything he was doing, why he was doing it and what was and was not needed. He cleaned up my laptop, added more memory all at a very reasonable price. If you need any help with your small business, home office, printers, computers etc. I highly recommend this company. I cannot say enough wonderful things about them. It is such a relief to know there is such a great company as them if anything ever goes wrong with my computer again. The knowledge that they have is just mind-boggling, you can tell they have been doing this for a very long time and are very good at what they do. read more

I received outstanding help from It Needs Help when my computer was disabled by ransomware. I am electronically challenged, but Van took my calls, met with me a few times, texted me from Costco with a picture of the laptop that would be most useful for me, cleaned out my old computer, gave me a lot of advice- then showed me how my phone was way overdue for a replacement. Highly recommended! read more

Our Mac had about 2 years of saved email disappear. Couldn't find it anywhere in the folders. Jimmy spent about 20 minutes explaining the possible reasons and potential solutions. Apple programs have some priority programming and Jimmy explained how to detail what happened, and helped me connect to Apple support. Extremely professional and knowledgeable. No charge. Thank you Jimmy!!! read more

The worst feeling is when you have a midterm coming up and suddenly your computer screen is black. No matter how many Reddit threads you read and troubleshooting you do...still black. That's what led me to Itneedshelp. Because obviously..it needed help! I was able to drop off my laptop on a Tuesday, part ordered the same day (I needed a new screen), and pick it up by noon Thursday good as new. Talk about FAST! My part was $66 directly from a website they use and my labor cost was $80. They took as little of my time as possible and had my laptop back to me ASAP. Move over Geek Squad, because we all know they aren't nearly that fast. If you need IT help, these are the people to call! read more

Van is super knowledgeable and helpful! I highly recommend him and his team to anyone that needs IT help.

My laptop fell and the hard drive break and I took it to a repair shop in Frederick that charged me for diagnosis and could not figure out how to fix the issue. It took 5 minutes for these gurus at ITNeedHelp to come up with a temporary solution, download my data from the cloud, provide another laptop and eventually fixed the broken one in less than a week. What blew my mind was their customer service level 'A+' and how calm they were when explaining and assuring me that they could help. This should be the only go-to place for anyone with IT support needs in and around Frederick. Oh, they also brought the laptop to me so I did not have to make another trip to pick it up. These guys are excellent. Thank you all. Keep up the good and professional work you do. read more

We moved here from upstate NY and the gremlins got into our computer and printer on the way. Could not print sporadically from laptop or iPads. Tried to call Geek Squad, after pushing all the right buttons and was on hold forever, was told to call a different number. Called and got a recording telling me they would text me a form to schedule. Disgusted, hung up. Searched Yelp and found It Needs Help. Great reviews, Van called me back immediately, showed up same day and exorcised the demons. All works great. And a lot better price than the geeks. Friendly, very knowledgeable about computers and printers and just a great experience. And he also sets up modems, tv, etc. wished we had known that before. Trust me, you won't go wrong with the company. If I could give them 10 stars I would. read more

These guys were great. They were highly knowledgeable when it came to the issues I was experiencing with my system and were able to fix it the very same morning. They didn't try selling me on services I didn't need and didn't try to sell me on parts that I would have to wait on. They were forthright and fast. I'd go back to them again without a second thought. Geek Squad is for saps, rubes, lobotomites, AND the birds. read more

Drop off your desktop or laptop computer while you watch your kids at soccer practice! Computer Repair Service inside the FISC Frederick MD

Took our computer to ITneedshelp because it kept shutting down. They called me by the next day to tell me what was wrong and we had the computer back about 48 hours after we dropped it off. I'm remiss in that I've used their services three times over the years (important note--on three different computers!) and they've always been great. They're fast, thorough, and their fees are very reasonable. read more

I know some of the computer techs that work at Techknowbutler are very talented. They are also very nice people to deal with. I wouldn't trust my laptop to any other computer repair shop. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough. Bravo!

I cracked my laptop screen, I called a few other places and they wanted to charge a lot more to fix it. I found them through a friend and would recommend them to anyone else. They completed the work quickly and at a fair price. I believe in giving small business the opportunity instead of going to Best Buy or staples. Jay R read more

I highly recommend the team at Itneedshelp. I have basic computer skills, I know just enough to get by. So, when my computer screen went blue I naturally freaked out and started looking for IT help. Van at Itneedshelp came to my rescue. Not only did he fix my hardware issues, he recovered my documents and taught me how to avoid the same problems in the future. Van skillfully answered all of my questions and presented my options on a level that made sense to me. The response time, turnaround time, and level of expertise were exceptional. read more

[short overview] These guys went above and beyond my expectations. Not only were the friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable, but the service they provided me was impeccable. [extended] I was in the process of building my first computer, I was fairly nervous as I had been saving up for all the parts, and didn't want to turn it into a brick. I had gotten all of my components, and was in the process of testing it out. The fans spun up the lights turn on, but no signal was coming from my video card, put in the post speaker to see what the issue is, yet I wasn't hearing anything. I tried everything I could find, but nothing was working. I came to the realization that the motherboard is probably DOA, so I sent it back, waited another two weeks, got a new one, put it together, and the same exact problem occurred; GREAT. I had one of my friends test a few parts, but they were inconclusive. I finally arrived were you are today, looking at computer repair services on yelp. When I arrived I was pretty unsure of the place, the only other computer repair store I've used before was geek squad, and was very dissatisfied with their customer service and price gouging. I explained my problem and they went through the normal laundry list of common solutions. The technician I spoke to was extremely personable, and tested out what he could right then and there, but he couldn't find any issue. I handed over the computer parts and case, and waiting to hear the bad news. I was either out $60 for a new motherboard or $120 for a new processor. I got a call the next day from the technician who was working on my computer that they got it up and running. I had to call back to make sure I heard right. When I walked in after work, the technician told me what went wrong, and then showed me my computer. I was thrilled that they put the entire computer together for me. I was only expecting them to tell me what was wrong, but I was even happier when they gave me the price which was extremely reasonable. I highly recommend ItNeedsHelp to anyone having computer issue; they've saved me time, money, and unneeded stress. NOTE: If I were to have a single complaint it's that the store itself is a bit difficult to find, but if you know where the Frederick Sportsplex (now known as the Frederick indoor sports center) then it's inside, and there sign's to guide you. read more

I've used ITNEEDSHELP for maybe 10+ years and have always had an excellent experience with them and have always recommended them to my customers, associates, etc. but recently had a computer problem that I needed help with. I've called the office several times, written several times, showed up in person several times. They were so uninterested in my business that they couldn't even be bothered to call me and tell me that they are too busy, couldn't or wouldn't take the job. No problem if they can't take it but to completely blow me off as irrelevant is wrong. They definitely lost a customer but I'm sure they won't notice. read more

A friend told me about itneedshelp when an older model pos terminal of mine died. Although they were unable to fix the problem because the parts were no longer being manufactured, it was still a great experience. The team kept me updated on their progress through the diagnostics. The charges were much less than I anticipated and more than reasonable. The staff was great to work with. Ill definitely use them again in tue future! read more

My MacBook Pro number keys stopped working. I took it to the Apple Store and they wanted to charge me $500, so I found these guys on Yelp because they had the best reviews. I took it in to get fixed and I got lucky because they had the replacement part in stock. I was able to get my MacBook fixed for a reasonable price ($100) and get it back the next day( keep in mind they had my part in stock, so your repair may take longer) Overall it was a great experience and I will be back for any future computer fixes. Highly recommended! read more

Van and his crew are the best by a million miles. My netbook was toast and he put in a new hard drive in a day and the price was cheap. They are experts and can help with commercial level businesses or if you drop your laptop on the ground and need it fixed. Van is quite the techie fella and you'll seldom see him without at least 4 devices on him. He likes to be up to date on the latest technologies and has personally tried them all out so that he can make a solid opinion. Businesses rely on ITNeedsHelp and so do I. read more

When my 1-year-old-laptop all of the sudden wouldn't turn on anymore, I called ItNeedsHelp. Even though it was a Saturday and they had already closed for the day, the owner was willing to meet me at their office. In less than 4 days (and while keeping me updated the whole time) my laptop was fixed and for much less than I expected to spend on the repair. They even called me a week later to make sure the laptop was still working. ItNeedsHelp saved me lots of time, headaches, and several hundred dollars. Highly recommend! read more

It Needs Help has been the best in helping our business survive critical technology issues. They are quick to respond and extremely knowledgable. They even fixed my smartphone twice. The charges are very reasonable too. I don't know how we could have survived the last 3 years without them. They are able to protect the security of the business. I am greatful to the executive of a local magazine that recommended them. I highly recommend them too. read more
