Mobile and Internet, who are the experts when it comes to Verizon every time I go to someone that calls herself an expert there were no answers to any of my questions I had issues right from the start because I was moving from one network to the other, thinking, it was a better network to move to wife from the beginning they were one there was an issue because I had the Internet service up on a different telephone number that I already had on the telephone number and then when it changed, no one gave me the right answers on how to change it and then it was set up on two different email addresses my Mobile and my Internet, so I got no real answers at any point at this time now they're sending me threatening letters in the mail demanding me to return the equipment. How wrong is when I don't even have a car and nothing was ever set up right from the start. It was only a bunch of hell right from the start. I had too many problems with you people unsatisfied 100% who are the real experts when it cost to be an expert 100% nobody nobody really has the answers. read more

Today was the second day in a few months I've had a solicitor come by trying to get me to sign up for Fios. I have two clearly posted No Soliciting signs that were ignored even after I pointed them out. My dogs do not appreciate some stranger opening the screen door to knock and then just standing there. This store has the worst customer service i have ever seen. This is the second time in recent years that I needed to pick up equipment that the online representative said the Framingham store had on hand. And both times, not only do they not have it. The staff could care less about helping you. When I asked what do we do now, do you order it? The response was "I'm not doing anything, we are only a distribution location" - a totally unacceptable response. This is the second time that I have noticed that the staff has no interest in helping, never seen employees care LESS about their jobs. Verizon has always had a problem with customer service. I had a curbside appointment via the Verizon app, got there a few minutes early, was checked in by the app- and proceeded to wait curbside in my vehicle for 40 minutes with no acknowledgement from the staff. Seeing multiple customers enter and then exit, I went to the door with my new phone, old phone and password list to see why. The manager announced that he would not activate my new phone unless I entered the store, as if I would be doing any of the process not already done. I am medically high risk, and was not entering the store. Another location manager was appalled to hear of this, and took care of it without question- curbside. read more

So far I have been really happy with switching over to Verizon Wireless. No more dropped calls. Love my Samsung Note II. Great parental controls which is easy to use. I went into the store to get an Otter case to protect my mini Fablet. Even with the insurance (which does have a deductible) I need a heavy duty drop it all the time case. My name got added to the wait list which sounds strange but works. The salesman gave me a flyer on the warranty insurance should I need to call then showed me a variety of cases and rang me up with his tablet. In and out. We have switched all of our phones over now. Three we got from the store and one from Amazon. Either way it all worked out well. On a separate note check with your employer and see if there are any added discounts. Doesn't hurt to check cuz who doesn't want to save some $. read more

By far the worst customer service I have ever seen. The only 2 times I've gotten worse customer service, both were from this location, as well. I never expect great customer service but wow was that pathetic all around. I am changing carriers over it. I am traveling tomorrow and wanted to trade my iphone in for a new one with better battery life. That didn't happen. I left when I realized Karen was gonna take a bit, which the customer service employee did NOTHING at all to ameliorate. It should never be more than a 20 minute ordeal to get a new phone (trust me, I get it if it takes 25). Definitely hit or miss. However, I had the misfortune of dealing with a very unmotivated and unhelpful employee. I was one of the first people when the store opened and he looked like he was pretending not to see me. He only said come over when his boss looked like he was going to tell him. I told him I just wanted service and he spent about 30 minutes trying to sell a new phone. When I said "no" he gaslighted me like I had been upset or something. Yeh you're so unused to a woman firmly saying no that you can't quite figure out what to do. Eventually I couldn't change service for other reasons and had an excuse to get out of there. But the next week I went back and was told it was an HOUR wait. Totally unacceptable. If you have an hour wait, you need more staff. read more

Our associate, Alyssa, was lovely. Her manager, however, was cold and unhelpful. 3 of us tried to switch to xfinity mobile, Alyssa was knowledgeable and quick, but why wouldn't her manager let his employees know ahead of time that their payment system is down? You know, so those of us driving 30 miles and wasting our time in the store dont have to waste more time by coming back another day and then not honoring their "sale?" So, we come back and now have to wait to complete the sale. Originally they were at 3 stars, but have zero sense of customer service and waste everyone's time, hence the 1 star. read more

I recently went to the Verizon store at 86 Worcester Rd., in Framingham. This has been my dedicated Verizon store for several years. I've bought so many phones from them. They've always helped me with erasing older phones so I can pass them on to a friend. I've always had pleasant and helpful service. Today was the exception. I went with my friend to erase an older phone. Our first encounter with the person checking us in was pleasant until she heard the reason for the visit. The same thing happened with our advisor, pleasant at first then noticeably unenthused about helping to clear the phone and transfer the sim card. Again I was told I could do it myself. When we ran into issues with unlocking the phone he told me the only option was to go to the Apple store. UNTRUE! I made one call to Apple and they gave me directions to unlock the phone the same instructions could have been given by the Verizon store associate and certainly could have been done there. As a customer I am very disappointed. If you're not purchasing a new phone, at best you'll find the staff unhelpful and unwilling to help. I will not purchase another phone there. Please beware...buy a phone and you may have a good experience. Need help w an existing phone, and you won't find helpful staff. Such poor customer service and based on the reviews, this seems to be a recurring issue. Do yourself a favor and bring your business and loyalty somewhere its appreciated. read more

Not worth the trip. We went there looking for support for a device and waiting around after checking in. We waited 30 minutes before being helped even though there was tech staff standing around. I am seriously contemplating ending all of my contracts with Verizon. I have never experienced such bad customer service in all the years I've been with them. If you go to this Verizon Wireless store make sure you are NOT helped by a guy named Kevin. My wife and I went into the store to do a simple account switch (she was leaving her father's verizon account and coming over to mine) and he immediately was down our throats with a 'termination fee' of $350. I had recently added a new line to my account and got the iphone 5 at the upgrade price with it. Accordin to Kevin, in order to bring her old phone number over to that line it will cost $350. Even though her current phone is completely paid for and contract free on her dad's account. When I first asked him "wait this fee doesn't make sense" his immediate response was "yes, it actually makes perfect sense" and made me feel like I was trying to pull a fast one on Verizon. Let me tell you that I have been a loyal Verizon customer for several years, so have my parents and so have my wife's parents. When we even hinted at "hey we've been with you guys for awhile can you help me out on this fee?" Kevin became visibly angry and outright rude to both me and my wife! I understand he is lower on the food chain and maybe doesn't have the authority to waive this fee but he could have at least shown a tiny bit of empathy! Instead he practically accused us of being ignorant and stupid to the whole subject and that our request was just completely out of line. We are planning on calling Verizon corporate later tonight when our nerves have calmed down. Hopefully someone higher up will be able to help us out. Also I will be asking to lodge a formal complaint against Kevin. UPDATE - 10/8/12 Since posting this review here a Verizon Wireless rep contacted me and was extremely helpful. Do yourself a favor and purchase Apple products from Apple! Purchased an I phone 11 and it cracked a few days later after having sold me the screen protector. I understand that things break, so took it back and they explained that the insurance will cover the damage, All I had to do is make a claim with Assurion and they would come and fix it for me. That the coverage provided that feature that is why they chose that insurance company. Well Verizon employees are either misinformed or don't take the time to know what they are selling. I went to this location on 06-25-2020 to get a new phone. The guy helping me I believe his name was John? (He has a tattoo of a guy with a car on his left forearm). He was not rude in any way, but he could not answer a single question I asked. I had 4-5 questions and literally not one could he answer. When you ask for an iPhone and get harassed into a corner about purchasing an iPad, you realize you're better off buying straight from Apple. Thanks for the affirmation that visiting your store is the worst decision one could make in their week. My phone died this morning and I raced down to Verizon to get it fixed only to find out that my husband hadn't paid the bill yet so they shut our service off with no notice. Keep in mind we generally pay in full every month but something went wrong with his bookkeeping and he just signed up for automatic withdrawals so we were 6 weeks behind for the first time. I'm of a certain age with asthma so this was my first time in a store since quarantine. A man came in and was asked by the staff to put on a mask, which he did but when he got within 6 feet of me and it was below his nose I asked him to wear it correctly. He yelled "Drop Dead!" No clerks asked him to correct his mask and I felt unsafe. I will not be going into any store again....any store. I can't believe that Verizon would shut a 20 year paying customer off without warning and then to have my health threatened while getting my service restored is all too much. I hope I can switch carriers away from this ridiculous behemoth non service oriented company that won't even keep it's customers safe. read more

I had to ask a few times for him to check to see if the phone I was looking for would be available in another store. He informed me that "nowhere in New England will you be able to find this phone". Although I give 1 star, There are NO STARS to give. At first I would have given a 4 star rating, but as of today I give a major negative. 2.5 weeks ago I made my first visit and started the process of upgrades etc. I knew what I wanted, what I was willing to spend and the salesman quoted me a price. My plan was suppose to stay as it was. I was also quoted based on a 55+ rate etc. Anyway, today I got my first bill and nearly had a heart attack. Not only did I not get a 55+ price, my plan was upgraded against my knowledge at more cost. My bill had activation fees for which my daughter and I were led to believe that we had paid for alongside our downpayments on our phones and IPad. As to the IPad, I was NOT informed that the IPad had to also have a phone line# plus an activation fee. The salesman knew I was legally blind and that I hung on what I thought to be an honest sake. I feel that I was taken advantage if as a Legally Blind Senior. I will never go back to this store. All my praise goes to VWCS via the phone. The straightened out my plan etc. read more

Please note, this review pertains only to the Verizon Wireless store and staff in Framingham, MA . It is not a comment on Verizon Wireless coverage or mobile services. --------------------------------------- Since this store opened, my wife and I have numerous times experienced the poor customer service, aggressive sales tactics, and poor technical support provided. As you enter, there are service kiosks that occasionally work. The entering customer is supposed enter his/her name and purpose for the visit. Customers should then be added to a queue. An electronic display shows the queue. As I mention above, the kiosks often aren't working. Other times a staff person asks you the info and types it in for you. My wife and I have both waited for upwards of an hour (on days when the store was really busy). A couple of times I noted how my name (or her name) had disappeared from the queue. It usually took me ten minutes or so to find someone to ask what happened to my place in the queue. The response was usually, "You didn't answer when we called your name." Maybe one of us would not hear the name, but neither? When told we would have to sign in again, we declined and left. This happened a few times. I could write a novella detailing the bad experiences. As I can't print it all here, I'll instead tell you to "be prepared": If you go to buy something, be prepared for the Sales associates to almost assault you. If you tell them to leave you alone, they'll glare at you. They don't seem to understand the concept of browsing. If you go for Tech Support, be prepared to wait and then to be asked dumb questions such as 'did you recharge it'. Expect to have to come back again, as the first line support people don't seem to be able to fix anything. And be prepared, when you come back the following week, they might have no idea who you are, why you are there, or what you are talking about. "We were supposed to order a replacement?" They don't seem to keep case logs. If you decide to return something, be prepared for more glares and angry looks. If you cancel a service, e.g. texting, because they can't get it to work on your phone, be prepared for them to still try to convince you not to drop the service. And never expect a refund for a service that was never functional. I've spoken to a " manager" (half the store seems to be "the manager"; each is sort of like "the new number two") at least three times over a couple of years. The mantra never changes "your business is very important to us. Customer Service is our priority". Yeah, and I'm sure my call is very important to them too. read more

I went to this Verizon location because I've had good experiences with them in the past. This time I brought in my 65 year old fathers Verizon prepaid iPhone 4 to switch to my moms old iPhone 5. Tom made the process easy and was very nice. I was impressed because both phones I brought were ancient and they where not condescending and did not give me an attitude. I had bought a cell phone cover as a gift but had to return it. Simple enough or so I thought. I went in and was pounced on by someone who said that I would be helped in a few minutes but mainly wanted my home phone number to sell me some add on services. So I waited over ten minutes then approached another clerk, told her that a simple return was all I needed. She said that I would have to be "checked in" then it would be a 30 minute wait 30 MINUTES to make a SIMPLE RETURN. No way I was going to wait so I walked out. Had a very good experience with Andrew. Personable, knowledgable, helpful, patient and a good sense of humor. I went to purchase an iPhone 6 Plus at the Verizon store on Washington Street in Boston and was put off by the lazy, disinterested sales guy and ended up leaving that store. Andrew redeemed my faith in the Verizon brand. I was paying full price which set my expectations, and Andrew assisted my purchase by thoroughly explaining all my choices. Most of the employees here provide very good customer service. I dealt with at least 5 different employees in a couple of days but I found that they tried to save us money and worked hard to resolve our problems. There are some bad apples but they are easy to spot, stay away from guys who smirk instead of smile. Verizon's support has steadily deteriorated over the past few years. Our family has probably spent $30,000 on Verizon services & products over the last 8-10 years. In the past week I spent at least 6 hours in the store and on phone support trying to get a new old stock Blackberry activated. They ended up telling me that as of this June, they could no longer support older cdma devices that weren't already on the network. As I wrote in another review, we took the phone to AT&T and within an hour it was set up, the number transferred, and working great. read more

The Verizon Wireless store in Framingham and the one in Coolidge Corner, Brookline, are a study in contrasts. The Brookline store is all surface, no depth. If you have a problem, good luck. The Framingham store has veterans who know their stuff. Tom, one of the sales reps, has 19 years with Verizon, and it helped. He knew right away not to try selling trinkets, and he solved a lingering account issue that had stumped the Brookline store. We got a replacement cell phone for one that had been lost--the right unit at the right price. It worked right away. read more
