The Verizon business model, and this complicit franchise location, is a scam. After talking with 5 different Verizon reps on the phone yesterday just to get my cell service and phone number transferred to my new phone, I was told I needed to go in person to this location for in-person help. It took the in-person rep at this store 15 minutes to fix my problem, all of which I could have done over the phone if the reps actually helped me with the correct info or if I waited long enough to research the solution online and do it myself. But Verizon, and this franchise location, know they have you by the balls and charge a standard $40 fee for something that should be handled for free, whether on the phone or in person. So if you actaully need in-person help, they are helpful, but if you can avoid Verizon and their scam of a business model, please do. read more

Do not go to this Verizon!!!!!! They have no idea what they talking about!!!!! They convinced us to go to a business account t to save money we were paying around 250 previously. We had to go in 3 times because they never fully transferred to the business account we were paying double for personal and business. We kept getting calls and our lines were getting disconnected and they kept telling us it was fixed. It's been going in since Nov and they still haven't fixed it. They are a bunch of liars who just want to make sales and don't finish the process so you are left with a mess. I called several Sacramento area Verizon stores to learn the availability of the new iPhone 16. In each case I was directed to a female employee who said she worked at a Verizon store. The stores were 10 miles apart! I called a third time to a different Sacramento Verizon store and spoke the SAME FEMALE VERIZON EMPLOYEE. I have been having trouble with my service plan from Verizon so I went in to have them figure out the problem. Naveah (I think it was) helped me out. The entire time being helped out she was being passive aggressive and condescending. She made it seem as if helping me was a burden to her and it wasn't her job. Came in for a replaced SIM card, came out with a payment plan for a device that I didn't buy; you thought the can just sneak the payment plan onto our bill without us noticing? Came in to sort out the situation with the unauthorized payment plan, came out with extra monthly charges for device protection that we DIDN'T ask for. This experience was so bad that I feel the need to warn others for their safety. This is not a review of VERIZON as my service from them has been excellent. This is about this Victra retailer. This is a problem that took 6 weeks and over 5 hours on the phone to fix. I came to get a new Ipad, which I got. I swapped a different tablet that ended up being dysfunctional. For starters, everyone should know that Victra retailers have a $50 restock fee that actual Verizon stores simply do not. OK - $50 for a trial on a dysfunctional device, but since I was deciding to switch to an iPad, fine I'm happy to pay. The rep not only snuck insurance on to the new plan, but somehow took the tablet I returned without fully processing the intake of it. To this day, I will never know what happened to the tablet I returned. I continued to make monthly payments on it with the Victra store reassuring me it will "eventually fall off". Weeks went by and it never did. Verizon on the phone sounded like they thought that was off, too. The store had no answers for my tablet and Verizon had no return. After many hours on the phone with lots of passing from department to department, Verizon made some kind if special move and likely just marked it a loss, and fixed my bill. If it wasn't for the unique $50 fee, this review would only be about this store and rep, but since all Victras have it, I must recommend to try to avoid them if you can. Employees were kind; however, they are deceiving in the way they offer bundles and include miscellaneous prices on your final total. The staff helping me claimed to be able to bundle a charger, screen protection, case, etc for no extra charge, when in fact it was $200 extra to do the bundle. The employee also tried to bundle a charger, when the phone already comes with a charger. The employee also attempted to include "taxes and fees" to our final price, until we told the employee that we ALREADY paid taxes and fees on the phone. The employee did not believe us, so we had to GO HOME and get our receipt just to prove to the staff that we were correct. And to top everything off, the employees did NOT ask if I wanted them to set up my phone. The employees took the liberty to set up my phone WITHOUT ASKING, and then included another charge on our final bill for a "setting up fee." I was never asked nor did I consent to a setting up fee. While we were being helped, another upset customer walked in stating that staff sold him a charger that is not at all compatible with their phone. The staff at this location are constantly trying to deceive and lie to customers to get them to spend more money. I just bought a brand new IPhone 8 Plus and have not even had it for a week and he screen stopped working. So I went into this store to see if they could tell me what's going on and have them trade out with a new one since I haven't even barely used it and it's already having problems with a blacked out screen. The employee wanted to help but then called his regional manager and said they wouldn't cover it because it's an apple problem and it's not their responsibility to fix what their phone was doing. I said please explain to me how it's my problem when I've only had it for 6days... you guys take phones back within 14 day of purchase no questions asked and now you're telling me that since your product stopped working unexpectedly within that 14 day time frame it's still my problem to fix? He responded with yes! I asked to speak to this regional manager and he said you can't. He doesn't speak to customers. ( That's convenient isn't it... manager not doing his job obviously) So I did what they said and I went to Apple all the way in Roseville at 7pm at night since they said that was my only option. I went into apple and they told me Verizon should be covering the product they sold me specially since it's in the 14 period and they couldn't even help me until the next day because their appointments were booked until closing time... So I went to another Verizon out in Roseville and guess what to my surprise?! They did their job! They said for no reason at all should I have been denied service by this store and how they should have went out of their way to help me. So long story short... this store is a joke! They will not try to accommodate their customers. They will only do a job where they are making a sale off you. I had ordered a phone earlier that day and they worked all the details out and made my experience a one of a kind. Since I am shipping off to the army within a few hours, the manager was able to help me return a case that I wasn't able to use anymore. LONNNNGGG story short (as possible)...I was completely lied to. I went in to upgrade my phone to a new one since I was eligible. Chandler helped me right away and everything seemed fine. However, when he said that I was going to be paying $237 for fees, taxes, screen protector and phone case.. I immediately questioned the screen protector because I NEVER asked for one. He went on to say how good it is blah blah blah. I asked him if my phone fees would be $160 then cause that's what I went in there knowing I'd pay for the phone. He literally said yes straight to my face that $160 of it is for the phone. He had me pay & never handed me the bag and receipt until the very end. He told me my trade in value would lower my monthly payment which was also a LIE. Thankfully I went home and checked the receipt because I knew immediately it wasn't right. First of all, he lied to me and was sneaky. The screen protector was $65.00!!!! And the case was $45!! Second of all, it's called Victra or whatever the hell and not even a legit Verizon. I should've known and that's my own mistake. I was so pissed off I went back and complained to Ashlee the manager who was also there when Chandler was "selling" everything to me. In the end, I got everything refunded and got my old phone back. DO NOT go there, it's a scam. I came in wanting to switch over to Verizon. My wife and I own phones that are compatible with the Verizon network, but the store was unable to add us to the network. They insisted that one of the phones (Nexus 6P) was not supported by the network and that it could not be added. They insisted that the only way to get the phone on the Verizon network was to have a Verizon SIM in the phone already, which I know to be untrue. When I described a potential work-around, they refused to attempt it. I went to the Verizon on Sunrise instead. When I told the tech at the Sunrise location we may need to do a workaround, he was willing to do it. It turned out to be unnecessary because he quickly found that the Nexus was supported by the Verizon network we ported everything over. read more

I came here today to upgrade my phone. I was eligible for the upgrade and unfortunately I wasn't planning on spending as much as I did. I think it's silly Verizon charges you all these different charges when its supposed to be an upgrade! Anyway Chris helped me out and he was fabulous. He answered any and every question I had. He transferred everything over to my new phone from my old phone and even had me check it to make sure it was all there. While we were there a crazy irate man came in being rude from the beginning, all 3 of them men handle the situation very well. Tony, the manager was dealing with this guy and not once did he lose his cool or have any sort of tone. The man was belligerent and finally left thankfully, but I was impressed how well they all handled the situation. I unfortunately was in need of a new phone at the beginning of June, and because of COVID this was the only store near me open. This particular location is not a "corporate" store (which I didn't mind), however the prices on the phones are increased (which again a $10 price difference didn't bother me), but on top of that, I was hit with quite a few hidden fees that were not discussed with me. On top of that, because I traded my last iPhone in, it gave a negative balance on the bill and I guess you can't leave the store with it being negative. Because of this, the manager, Ashlee, took it upon herself and charged me a "Redux" fee of $29.99 to meet a positive balance. And the only thing that really made me mad was her saying she discussed with me it couldn't be a negative balance and asked if I wanted to purchase something else. She never did this. She asked me if I was going to get a case or screen protector with my new phone that day, but never went over any negative balance. Why wouldn't I have found something in the store instead of just a $30 fee?! I could have gotten a car charger or something for my money! And because it was past 14 days by the time we spoke to her I couldn't get my money back. Avoid this store if you can. The corporate store in Folsom off of iron point road is open. Also - the other employees I had no issue with, they were very helpful. I just can't stand when someone says they said something to me but didn't. And I just want the hidden fees to be broken out to me verbally before I purchase the phone. read more

Thank goodness our contract just ended with Verizon. Since we were wireless newbies, the employees kept pushing things on us, not explaining that it was in a contract nor that it cost as much as it did. There was so much information thrown at us, it felt we didn't have a moment to breathe and comprehend it. Our Verizon service, overall, was reliable over the past two years.
