Made an appointment for the purposes of switching our service to Verizon and buying new phones. We were helped by several patient staff members, and accomplished our visit purpose. Our only beef: when Verizon notified us of our first and subsequent monthly bills it was no where near to the quote we had subscribed to. It's sad that an employee Anthony, is either this stupid or has had no character training in his life. Let me stand there when I walked into the store and did nothing until I finally asked if I needed to take a number or something to get help... then when she came over to "check me in" was extremely Rude when I was confused about not being able to talk about trading in my phone ... gave some reason because i was on a family plan and needed some sort of authorization... seems ridiculous of a rule since I'm a grown adult and it isn't my mommy or daddy that I'm on the family plan with? First they sold me a terrible phone and refused to help me set it up, than they send me a new one without a sim card. I had to transfer it from phone that we knew did not work right, neither phone did sim card holder pop open with paperclip as was suggested, no sim opener was sent. Im terrified to go back to store as they will probably try to charge me for defective phone even they are hundreds of people on line complaining about how these phones get blue lines and than implode. 2 stars is generous for this once great company. I called Verizon to cancel an account for my brother-in law who was being hospitalized. I had power of attorney (POA) and was informed by telephone to go to a Verizon store to cancel the account. They couldn't do it over the phone even if I were to fax them the POA. I went to my local Verizon store and I was informed to go to a corporate office. Nobody told me the corporate store in Naples was closed. Went to the on in Estero and they could do nothing except tell me not to pay the bill. What a waste of my time. This Verizon store SUCKS!!!!!! Have had Verizon for my whole entire life. This specific store has made me want to switch carriers. I have dealt with 3 female employees over the last week here and all 3 were incredibly rude and useless. I have never dealt with such inconsiderate, non-caring employees. Went to Verizon store in Coconut in Mall to buy a new 13 G phone and a customer for over 10 years gentleman. There asked me if my eight month old French bulldog was a service dog I said yes he said he doesn't have a service sweater I said, I forgot to put it on, he said sorry we can't serve you I said no problem. I purchased my new iPhone and iPad a few months ago. Two days ago my iPhone was pickpocketed while traveling out of US. Both of my dealings were with Devon and his manager in this location and I had a great experience in my initial purchase and replacing my phone recently. We came into today for an upgrade. We have been with Verizon since 2007 and today was by far the worst experience we've ever had. The manager at this store would just sit in the back and everyone once and awhile she would come and ask if anyone needs to be checked in. We all say no because we have been here for over two hours and she then goes back into the back, not helping out the one person they have doing everything he can to make everyone happy but at this point we are already pissed. Apparently, my wireless card was recently recalled however, they were able to develop an effective solution for me. What an unnerving experience we had today at this store. We were purchasing a new phone and IPad with a lovely lady named Shari who was very knowledgable and helpful. However, one very obnoxious employee named Prate made this a bad experience. He spent the whole time very loudly conversing with a friend in an extremely loud voice that rang through the whole store. He was complaining about his previous job, the mayor, etc. The whole store did not have to hear that he came from Philly, lives in Palmira etc. Plus we could not even hear the salesperson we were working with. Very unprofessional. Everyone in the store was commenting and one customer left the store in disgust. Manager should have done something. read more

Our service at the Verizon Store at Coconut Point Mall in Estero, FL today was spectacular--truly! We were helped by Rafael with a rather complex operation getting a new phone, transferring phone service from another carrier (also having forgotten the pin # for this account), and transferring data from an dead-as-a-doornail iPhone 5 (yeah, I know!?). All this while an increasing older model iPhone inventory seems to be shrinking. Rafael went far over and above regular customer service to solve ALL these problems! And, we got a great new older model iPhone with a great Verizon plan that fits our fixed income budget. We bought some recommended extras from the staff that will make our experience better with this phone as well. One of the manager, Shari, in addition to a couple of other staff members piped in with creative solutions to this somewhat challenging multi-step operation, got the data from my old iPhone 5 transferred to the new phone, and even walked me through ALL of the setting up of this new phone. My experience was so frustrating. I went into the store to get a new phone when the phone was getting set up I was given a new person to help me after I had worked with someone else. During the process of transferring the data there was a glitch in the software and the phone was not able to be completely set up. Apparently Verizon knew of the glitch because they gave me a printed copy of what I needed to do at home to fix it. I guess they should have told me about the glitch before we started the process, then I would have had an option to wait until the software problem was worked out. I'll never go to that store again.
