A feeling of dread always overcomes me whenever I have to call or go to Summit with an issue. I had some unexplained charges on my bill, and was also unable to get logged into my account to see what the issue was. After a failed attempt to resolve it via live chat, I made an early morning run to my local Summit office. I worked with the rep for 30 minutes and finally got both issues resolved (wayyy too complicated to explain the resolution). The rep (Jatavia) was knowledgeable and pleasant and my feeling of dread soon turned to one of customer satisfaction. I can't thank Jatavia enough for her service! read more

I had spoken to a representative over the phone who told me there was nothing that could be done to reduce charges on a Reuter that I was charged for over several months that totaled $255, but I had returned the Reuter & they were supposed to remove it from my acct. I went to the Naples office & a lovely girl by the name of Valerie O. helped resolve my issue. She researched the issue & refunded my money. she was so patient, kind & helpful. Our community had broadband so we had to use them as well very poor service. Our community moved internet companies 3 months ago to a much better provider. To my horror today I have a pending $106 summit payment on my account, no email stating what this payment is for!. Contacted summit today to ask why they are taking money from my account without contacting me. To be honest didn't really get an answer she did not know why is wasn't contacted. She then informed me that the payment is for not returning the equipment! I informed her that I had returned the equipment and I have a receipt for this. She has as she says opened a ticket! However the money will still come out of my account. This is so wrong that they have the ability to take money out without first contacting me as I have a receipt for the returned equipment from UPS. I URGE people not to use this company there service is so unreliable, there customer service is no existent, and they obviously don't check the equipment returns. read more

Don't try to save yourself money with summit and if you move into a community that only lets you use summit, don't move there. Service always goes out. I hit them up on a Wednesday to get it resolved and they said they'll come out Saturday. I guess every tech in a 100 mile radius is too busy to fix a problem they caused. I had some issues with my internet going out in the middle of the day out of nowhere and when you're working from home with meetings, it really sucks. This is a review specifically about our recent visit from Service Tech Noslan V. He's a rock star! We've been having on and off problems with both our internet and TV for months, and the prior folks that Summit sent either did things that didn't end up "sticking" or frankly didn't do much or anything. But Noslan took his time, carefully checked our master "box" (and swapped that out), checked the signal strength at the box where it enters our building, made adjustments, and checked every connection in our unit. Things have improved greatly, and keeping our fingers crossed that will continue. Plus, Noslan was polite, very patient about explaining issues, and made several helpful suggestions. Thanks, Noslan!! Recently moved to Magnolia Square and had no choice but to switch from Comcast to Summit Broadband, what a disaster this service provider is! On some evenings service is as slow as 4Mbps, it is so slow its basically unusable, the advertised speeds are not true. If you try to call the customer service, after waiting about an 1 hr, no one will pick up the phone. As bad as Comcast customer service was, internet was fast and working, wish I could switch back to Comcast. Reliability is pretty bad...the service goes down often and bandwidth drops to single-digit Mbs frequently. My recommendation is to stay away from Summit Broadband if possible! Update- had a technician to come to my place, tested everything, during the visit speed was ok, so problem doesn't exist for Summit Broadband, but i cant used internet at night, have single digit speed internet at night, charged me $75 for the visit and issue remains. read more

An unethical company. They disconnected my Internet WITHOUT any notice or a reminder at 4 pm on 3/14/2024. They charged me twice for the same service. Even the tech (a nice lady) that I was on the phone with admitted that, but she said that she couldn't reconnect my services without a supervisor approval, and the supervisor told her that I need to pay. They didn't want to send me an invoice. The customer rep in Bonita Spring office is the rudest person to deal with, I have ever met. She has 0 customer service skills. I pay my bill through my HOA, so I am never late, but they claimed that I have a balance due of $23 and this was a reason to disconnect my service without any notification. I do not recommend Summit Broadband. I would love if my HOA would switch over to a different company so we could be done with this one. The technicians and staff seem nice and helpful but the actual broadband service itself is absolutely terrible. I do not recommend this company unless you enjoy paying for a service that only works about 50% of the time. Even when the internet is working, it is usually very slow. I have called and scheduled many appointments for them to come out and yet still can't come up with any answers as to why we aren't getting what we pay them for. It is beyond frustrating. 1GBPS internet plan is great, but has some hicks. I average 800ish down/1gig up, but experience ping spikes and packet loss frequently, even with ethernet. The absolute worst worst worst part is the terrible internet speed at night. Starting at 8PM, my download speed drops to 40mbp/s and upload to less than 1mbp/s making it impossible to do anything beyond watch a video in 144p. Furthermore, wireless is insanely terrible. If I play a game wireless, I experience 400+ ping as compared to less than 30 on ethernet, which is somehow worse than I experienced with spectrum. But it wasn't always this way; I don't exactly know when wireless started becoming unusable. I miss how fast this service used to be :( 900+ MBPS WIRELESS!! not anymore tho. read more

Does summit ever answer a call after the ROBO LADY gathers your information? I have called 4 times and after about 35 minutes was still waiting for a real person. Tonight I went crazy and waited 1 hour 10 minutes and nobody responded. They say "call 877-678-6648" but after 5 tries, no consumer service. After receiving a lot of misinformation from a Summit representative when I called in because we had no signal on one of our televisions, my husband went to the north location of Summit to pick up a cable box as we had been directed. It was there he met Jatavia, who was quite knowledgeable and corrected all the bad advice we had gotten from the first representative over the phone. (My husband called me in the store so I could also speak with her since Jatavia's info pretty much conflicted with everything we had been told by the first rep. It turns out we did not need a cable box, but a TIVO box. Jatavia was knowledgeable, funny and a pleasure to work with. She solved our problems, and sent my husband home with the right equipment. It's about 6 month like our community switch service from Comcast to Summit. It was not bad for the several months. Now they are throttling the internet every day from 7:45 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. My internet speed is only about 4.0 mbps. It was advertised 1000. I called several times to support. They lied that they do not slow down the internet speed and they will send the technician to check. There is nothing to check.
