We added a second box to our home and had problems receiving the signal. Two service reps were out and we ended up receiving signals on BOTH TVs for only 5 channels. A good day turned into a great day with the Summit technician that was sent out to help with my internet and television service. Summit sent Rey G. First surprise came when he called and asked if he could come early. Rey was able to diagnose the problem. Together with the on line tech the problem was solved and fixed. This company is forced on you and I understand why, no one in their right mind would choose this company as their internet provider unless it was "the only option". If you have been selected by this dump to be your internet provider let me give you a heads up. Everything will become slower whether it be your download or upload, getting disconnected randomly or simply no internet. Ask for a technician you say, well... you will be sent someone who is from a 3rd party whose first language is not English so good luck communicating your inconvenience to them. These technicians are not trained properly and half the time just want a signature so they can leave. Best way to handle Summit is by not using them IF POSSIBLE. If you are stuck with summit congratulations you are now an internet technician as you will have to provide proof and pictures for them to do anything. YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEMS WITH YOUR INTERNET. Beware of summit Broadband - The salesman quotes you one price then they bill you double - if you can even get a bill, then once you get your bill with the inflated rate they overbill you ( they billed me for the month of November when we started in December). Their response was oops sorry we can fix that. I was at there location on Route 951 in Naples and it took me over a hour to get everything straightened out ( except the quote from the salesman) . While I was at there brick and mortar store there were 7 other people that came in expressing there extreme displeasure with Summit . I really feel sorry for the people working there ( I'm sure they wont last long) of the 7 and including myself 4 canceled their service , at that rate they are loosing ~ 30 customers a day . All cable channels in bedrooms and HD HBO in living room were out for two months until summit finally sent out a technician. I had to call and follow up weekly to make that finally happen. Technician found that there was a cable issue underground effecting my streets signal and thanked me for bringing to their attention. It took another month for them to get a permit and complete. Once complete I called for a 3 month refund for my bedroom box I pay extra for but was unable to use and HBO and was told there was no history of any issue. Unfortunately my HOA has a contract with them. Do not use them. read more

Summit has been our condo building service for nearly 5 years. Service generally reliable. Customer service terrible. Had service in Naples on Wednesday after the storm now 3 days no phone, internet, or TV. No one can tell you what is going on or when service might be restored. Waited 3 hours on the phone twice yesterday - took a screen shot for call last night. Very disappointed on all levels. They have no outage map. No texts or emails acknowledging outage. Internet drops constantly, which is fun when you have 3 kids trying to watch netflix. On demand content NEVER works. Neighbors have the same problems. Service is supposedly fibre but it cuts out more during the busy season, which makes me think it is not true fibre. The user interface (menus, guides, etc) for television is outdated, klunky, and slow. read more

Our HOA decided to change to Summit Broadband last year. Unfortunately, the installation process was tedious every day we have issues getting full internet or cable. The internet goes out regularly and often in the middle of the night too ~ which shouldn't matter, but our SmartTV will then randomly come on and the lights that are connected to the internet will also randomly come on and off as they please. I just want reliable internet and Summit has a lot of work to do to keep up with the new clients they have. read more

Summit Broadband is the most unreliable Internet service provider I have ever experienced. I'm forced to use them with the community I live in, in Naples. Their customer service is horrendous, you will be on hold forever, and they will never answer the phone. For a tech/communication company, their website is even a challenge to maneuver. I lose Internet at least once a week, I have had a tech guy out here on numerous occasions with no real explanation. I'm only told that they frequent my community every week with issues. I work from home and it is so stressful to wake up on a Monday morning and not have Internet. Currently, the entire state of Florida has been without Internet and TV the entire weekend and it's going on 72 hours and no resolution or update, and they will not answer the phone. They have no idea what they're doing. how is this legal. I had the misfortune of dealing with the two women that work at the Naples location. They are truly the two most inept people i've ever encountered. Not only do they not appear to know how to do their job, they are rude, disinterested, and couldn't care less about helping out. I picked up a new router today and the useless employee didn't bother to mention that the password was on the back of the router, which I found out after driving back to the store. Perhaps if that useless employee did her job, she would have advised on how to activate a new router. There is quite literally no worse ISP than summit broadband. They've forced themselves into communities by offering them 5+ year long contracts at discounted rates. The discount probably is because out of 30 days 10 of those you will not have internet. Gaming ? Forget about it. Need internet for necessities ? We arrived at our condo last night and the Internet did not work. Naturally we were panicked because we came down for the week and will be working. After trying several things on our own we contacted Summit broadband and our call was answered immediately by tech services, he walked us through the procedure, told us what was happening, reset the box, stayed on the phone with us to ensure that the Internet was active. He solved our problem in less than five minutes. In the current corona virus environment Summit is not (understandably) not able to send out equipment due to closure of that area of the company. I'm this case they have not compensated by arranging for Contact Free equipment pick up at their stores.
