They sent two new Gemini which DID NOT RESOLVE PROBLEMS!! Was looking and thought I was the only one to give a 1 star. The amount of low ratings tells you everything you need to know about LACK of leadership and customer service. Company Lies and locks you in. I would never recomend using them. I was very specific on what I wanted. Was told yes that I would get it. Then when I didnt was told oh you need to upgrade to the highest level. Well still nothing but now they are using the $20 a month cancelation for remaining months. time to finally cancel directv- read my attachment below. i have finally decided to cancel directv for many reasons but this one made my decision easy. i go to mexico for month every year and while i am there, i was always able to login to directv and program shows or whatever i wanted to record on my tv at home so when i came home i could watch them. i was doing that for years and this year i am not able to do that because from talking to an agent from another country she had no idea what i was talking about and just said they canceled that service. well, with that, i am canceling directv when i get home. their customer service is terrible and i have been using amazon firesticks for everything and i am very happy i with them. time for everyone to read this and my attachment below and follow my lead to cancel directv. read more

I've been trying to upgrade my DVR to one that works with my new 4KTV. Every time I call directv/AT&T I get stuck in their system where all they want is to milk more information out of me and not let me talk to their service department. I called them out on Twitter a couple times and all I get is calls from their social media department. When I 1st got them 8 years ago they were great, their service was outstanding. DO NOT GET IT!! Get utube tv or Hulu, they are excellent! Direct tv is very expensive and goes out every day in the FL summers cause of rain! Sometimes even goes out in perfect weather! They raise ur bill after one year $50 per month! I cancelled 1 year early and paid their $240 termination fee. I'm saving $70 per month with utube TV so in 3 months will have almost saved the $240 cancel fee! Also will never get anything from AT&T! DIRECTV took advantage of my elderly father. He is a Florida snowbird and has DirecTV at his home in Illinois. He forgot to take his box to Florida with him and they made him start a new contract. HUGE early cancellation fee, $360. They knew he would be there only six months and he was assured there would be no problem cancelling the account. His account in Illinois was still active. It is NO problem to THEM. They are going to bill his credit card for whatever he doesn't pay. There is NO WAY to refuse to pay. I have talked to four different people, all super friendly and nice and UNABLE to fix this. It's been "escalated to upper management" and those folks think it's okay to treat a CURRENT customer this way. Shameful. read more

To replace my antiquated and overpriced Centurylink service I called AT&T and was sold DirecTV and ATT INTERNET and home telephone service. They quoted a good price for the package and rushed to install the DirecTV service within days. I was told I would get a install date for Internet and phone within 3 weeks. Well I heard nothing and spent days trying to get the answer. Finally I reached an Executive at ATT who told me the agent sold a package they can't deliver, as they were not allowed to provide home phone and internet services in Fort Myers . So now I had a real mess on my hands and told the Executive I have no choice but to cancel the DirecTV service and he agreed and noted that in their computer system. I subsequently ordered Comcast to provide phone, internet, and X1 services and am glad I did as they have been great. Meanwhile DirecTV sent a final bill showing they owe me a credit of $74, and they will repay it via a prepaid Visa card in within 30 days. As you might guess, I have not received the refund, get double talk from customer service. The merger between ATT and DIRECTV has been an operational nightmare and I Cant recommend them to anyone. read more

Direct TV is a joke! My Mother has had nothing but problems with this service. Every wind that blows turns the dish out of position and it takes days to get a repairman here to readjust. The scheduling department needs to have a training session. We will definitely go with another service as soon as possible. read more
