Hotwire product is excellent! Much more reliable vs the big C. Hotwire also has built in TiVo that allows me to change channels then REWIND TO THE BEGINNING OF THE SHOW/ BROADCAST! That is the best entertainment enhancement ever! Also, Hotwire Customer Service actually helps me. Chantelle Pinon found the monthly receipts and emailed them to me for my taxes. Try to get another Internet provider to even answer the phone! Chantelle got me these documents AFTER I MOVED to an area served by another provider. Entertainment enhancement is cumbersome with additional remote commands needed to accomplish previous commands, annoying if you have arthritis. Voice command on remote sporadic. TV switches from watching a recording to Apps by itself. Watch your monthly statement for possible charge for Hotwire voice messaging if you have their phone service and your own messaging capability. I asked to have it removed, it wasn't, and they will not reimburse for overcharge. We had the option of keeping previous system, wish I chose that. Can't go back though. read more

The WORST intenet service I have ever had!!! Streaming problem , constant slow loading. Customer "service" no help. Still waiting for customer service to answer my call now 45+ minutes. Called about this problem before....this is #4 trying to get resolution. Tech has been here 3-4 times, still can't fix problem. OH and I am paying for 1000 speed. very disappointed with Hotwire so far. The FF on the TiVo has been broken for over a month and they don't know how to fix it. This is NOT rocket science. So apparently many of my neighbors are having issues with Hotwire . No television service or sporadic service. This has been for months and Hotwire claims it's a new box that was installed in the plan that was not properly quality tested for glitches. A Hotwire vehicle hangs out by the pool for hours not sure why when there is apparently a lot of work that needs to be done. I opted out and pay out of pocket for our previous vendor as I saw this coming but also pay for Hotwire in my HOA. I know cost was a factor in changing communication vendors but I could tell by how bad installation went, these are not professionals. read more

So tonight at midnight my cable goes out. No cable. No internet. No wifi. Absolutely nothing. I call them and they tell me...I will have no service from midnight until 8 am!!!!!!! They are doing updates. It's 2026. Find a way to do your updates without putting your customers through no cable. No internet and no wifi!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!! Our condo association changed providers so I was 'forced' to switch and wasn't sure about the change. The installers were FANTASTIC and did a phenomenal job setting up all the new equipment and keeping it reasonable aesthetically. Ariel and Enrique worked together well and answered all questions, were knowledgeable and polite, and cleaned up completely after their visit. The TV picture is better than ever and the internet is working flawlessly and faster than before. It's only been a week but so far we are VERY happy with Hotwire! read more

Hotwire remote could not control TV volume. Submitted online support request on Saturday. Got a call from John Rosario of Hotwire support on Sunday- on Sunday. Told me to replace batteries in the remote. If that didn't work he'd get technician to me promptly with a new remote. This morning (Presidents Day) I replaced batteries. Doooon't Doooo it!!! I had this company forced on me by my home owners association. The entire board left after they signed a 10 mill contract $$$ ?. From the moment they connected it has been an issue. My computer ( that has worked with Century link, and Comcast) suddenly was always saying no internet. Their solve, buy a new computer. I do not remember a single day that the TV didn't freeze at least one time. The shows that we continually watch and record will randomly say "this show cannot be recorded". The stations that were promised are removed and replaced with shows I don't watch. I called their customer service this weekend and for calls 1 and 2, I was connected with a sales pitch for an emergency alert button. Calls numbers 3 and 4 told me I was not authorized to call this number. Call number 5 went through to customer service. All calls were done by redial(I did not Miss dial). The customer service response was to do without service for three days and then take another day off work to meet with a service man, while telling me that they do have technicians in the area but they are not available for a full service outage. I have taken a minimum of 15 days off work in the past 2 years. They have replace the equipment three times in my home(what electronics need replacement that often). I gave up calling them unless I have a full outage when during one visit they said "you have two problems, we fixed one and we will get back to you on the other", they never got back to me. The service is so bad that they are having community meetings (during working hours when residents are at WORK). I repeat DOOOn't Doo it!!! Call Comcast, century link or anyone else!!! Our community chose Hotwire a few years ago as our internet/cable provider and it has been great in every way. We had a small technical glitch yesterday and we put in a service request and I sent an email to our Account Manager never expecting a response on a Sunday but I was wrong!! He responded to the email, told us how to resolve the issue and we were back in business. Great provider and extraordinary customer service :-) read more

We have spent 2 days trying to reach tech support. The outgoing message says that they are experiencing higher than normal call value. One would think that a communication company would tell you that you are the 7th or 700th person in the queue. Another option would be an estimated wait time. We chose the call back option yesterday. Never received a call back. Called back today. After 35 min finally got a rep that forwarded our call to a technician. We have been on hold for over an hour. Hotwire's communication skills are a big zero. Update. Called Hotwire on a second phone. Chose call back option. Was called back at 37 min mark. As soon as I said hello it disconnected. Will be at the clubhouse on Monday morning in our large community, which supplies basic cable to us. Want the community to look into cable with better customer service. Verizon and Comcast in Phila/Nj not near as bad as Hotwire. read more

We have a number of elderly board members in Laguna Lakes and in my opinion, they made a very poor financial decision to change the community to Hotwire instead of letting residents make their own decision. I'll give Hotwire 5 stars on their sales ability. Don't fall into their trap! What HOTWIRE does not tell you! First, they come through the community and bury cable in your yard which leaves a long dead area in the grass. Next, they drill holes into your exterior walls to attach a Hotwire DMarc box on the side of your home. Now it's time to install. An EXPOSED wire run from the top of the DMarc box to up through the soffit on the side of the house or they drill through the concrete block and the wire comes in through your drywall. The EXPOSED EXTERIOR wire is NOT installed in conduit. Neither the exterior nor interior drilled holes have a cable plate. The exterior hole is "sealed with silicone" and your responsibility to maintain. The interior hole makes ruined my newly painted walls. The ridiculously large box and ugly box is then plugged into an outlet and a large eero repeater to connect to the upstairs eero was placed on top of my dresser (as though it were decor). I'm afraid to see what they did upstairs. Don't let them trap your community! read more

My Service was disconnected even through I gave Hotwire Rep my credit card on Autopay back in September. I was quite frustrated and Chancelour really helped me, restored my service and my faith in Hotwire. Got my Autopay to work on 20th with card and all is well thanks to her. I've called customer service at least 6 times with them finding no record of previous calls. I just moved to Miami from San Diego. I spent hours calling competition, thinking I could get a better deal. ATT was ready to set me up, after they hit on my credit! But they don't service the building and didn't even know it! My service man was so professional, neat, clean, respectful, clear in explaining, and even set up my headphones, which would have taken me hours! Such a poor experience. I just had cable and Internet installed. The cable box is already not working. Six calls later and they can't even get me an appointment? They say they have to email somebody internally in order to get me an appointment?! How does that even make sense? Isn't this a telecommunications company, that should specialize in scheduling ?
