Terrible internet. At 5 a.m. on a Saturday morning I can't even load a web page. Having to use a mobile hotspot to even post this review. We will be dropping them immediately. My internet line was cut during sewer lines added to my neighborhood. My case should of been repaired, but it's laying on a supervisor Gary's desk. It's scheduled to finally b fixed July 29th, via Century links automated... And again someone builds a house down the street and they cut the line off. Three weeks til repair, So I called to get new service and they said one week for new service. What kind of customer service is this. How do they get away with charging you monthly fees for the service they provide? I have been at home ( quarantined ) and all day long I can't watch television or use my iPad or phone. Century Link is the worst company that I have ever done business with. I have been trying to reach them for two weeks to discuss problems with my account. They even issued me a case number. However, they simply never get around to solving the problem. They tell you that they have assigned a case number and representative to handle the situation. They asked me when would be a good time to reach me. I give them the time and the date and my information but nobody ever reaches out to me. Avoid this company like the plague. Do not do business with these people. I believe strongly that their way of doing business is to avoid talking to their customers and hoping that they will just go away. We had Century Link service in our community for three years, and while they had the contract, their service was very good. But three years into a five year contract, they deserted us and forced us to find a new provider. During that process, we had generated an $87 credit on our account. I have been attempting to get the credit refunded for the last 2.5 years, and have been getting the runaround from them. At least a dozen calls were made to the company at this point. Finally (I thought), a manager with the company promised a check would be put in the mail in two weeks. Never happened. The company hands you a load of crap every time we call. read more

They have to use a phone line to connect you to the internet. Service tech couldn't find the service, Said that it was mowed down by the county.. As of today it's been 17 days and I cannot get in touch with someone at Century link .Spent almost 2 hours one day and 1.5 hours the next.. Never got to a human. We've had great service as far as working internet, however, as far as customer service, they get an F! I was on the computer last night for 1 hour trying to schedule a technician to install an ethernet connection from an old phone line. I was transferred to 8 different people, and had to repeat the same information 8 times, only to be disconnected! Today, I tried to call. After I FINALLY got a live person, I was told that I needed to be transferred. After 17 minutes, I was disconnected during the transfer and no one called me back. I made another call and FINALLY got a live person. He was nice and told me that he could schedule my technician. Without asking me what time/day worked for me, he made the appointment for tomorrow. This is a second home, so he had to rebook me for a couple of weeks for now. This call took 20 minutes. THEN I WAS CONNECTED! So after 1 hour and 40 minutes, I STILL don't have an appointment! This is by far the most non caring, insulated from public and poor customer internet (so called) "provider" I have delt with in 40 years of internet use. The Int is down often n most times fixed within days but often you have to buy something of pay for a repair often. I advised them I am bed ridden and have no other contact with outside world and no internet or TV. I have been put off almost a month now and it still doesn't work. I had to purchase a new phone system for emergency n still have NO INTERNET OR TV. Supposedly a "Tech" has been out here three times (me having to wait 8 to 11 days each time I call) and yet they leave w/o contacting me. Nothing fixed n I get a form text message saying tech is done n it's all repaired. Nothing has been fixed. Finally after 18 days of reading my sister brought me a phone n dvd player. Along with having DVDs delivered the expense has been very high. Yet they could care less. The only contact you can get is a person in th r Phillipines. Avoid at all costs​ read more

Century Link stopped a 10 service contract after only about three years, with our entire community, with TV, phone, and internet.  They just pulled their Prism television service and left us with no alternatives.  A blank screen.  Technically, I suppose our neighborhood HOA could sue for breach of contract.  (They'd be suing us if the tables were turned, you can be sure.). But I'm sure that would cost a fortune and be tied up in the courts as well.  We switched to Hotwire and are hoping for the best.  Hotwire is doing everything possible to get our community (Calusa Bay) back up and running.  They seem like pros.  Hotwire is expediting everything they possibly can.  I would not recommend Century Link for ANYTHING at all.  Dan O'Connell was our Century Link point person.  Whom I give zero points to.  He has not answered association emails, and has made it difficult for Hotwire to take over our service.  Goodbye Century Link, good riddance.  May your karma catch up with your company, Century Link.  Thank for coming to our rescue, Hotwire! read more

This company is the worst company I've ever had the experience of dealing with as far as Internet not only did they set me up for installation I after waiting 3 weeks they put it on a day when I'm at work instead of the day I took off work to be home for them and now they want me to wait even longer.... Told me when I signed up for it that they talked to their supervisor and that I did not have to pay for installation or service hookup that just for the $50 a month for internet and now I got a bill for $349 nothing was taken off on the installation.... Then to top it all off I call and after 2 hours of being put from customer rep to customer rep to customer rep when asking for a supervisor they hang up on me not quite sure where they get these people at but most of us would not have a job if we acted the way these people did... Especially telling me that I should take off work to be here to get my internet setup.... If I could get Xfinity over here I would do it in a heartbeat but they don't service my area unfortunately read more
