I highly recommend Verizon. But I don't recommend the store on Broadway in Chula Vista. Very unprofessional not helpful at all. One time I went in there and I ordered an iPad I got a receipt with a shipment date. On that day, I was expecting to have an iPad or when I got home there was no iPad package received. I waited a few days and still no iPad so I decided to call customer service and the customer service told me that they did not order it so they ordered it for me on the due date. It said it was arrived. It arrived. The second time I went in, there was just a few days ago. I went in there to transfer data one from phone to another because the iPhone 16 that I purchased in November was not charging when I walked in there. The first thing they sent to me it would be 29.99. I said since when the person said two years ago, I said upgraded four cell phones, and they transferred the data for me with no problem. So I'm thinking since I'm not purchasing anything they really don't wanna help me. They said they could help me activate the phone and show me how to transfer data because it's so easy. After she activated my phone, she tapped on some screens and said this is all you do tap tap, tap, swipe swipe swipe. See is so easy and walked away. I tried to follow the instructions that she gave me and it wasn't going as smooth as possible I waited there for about 10 to 15 minutes to see if they would come back and check up on me. No one ever came so I got mad and left. The funniest part is there was nobody in the store they were just talking to each other. I decided to call customer service, which they did the best that they could tell me we tried to transfer data, but we were leaving on vacation. Part of the reason why we needed the data to be transferred quickly was because there's some apps on there that we need for medical reasons. I have been with Verizon for over 16 years, this location in particular has had notoriously bad service. This was not my first choice of location as I had a pleasant experience just a week prior at the IB location. Customer care scheduled me an appt here to finish a promo offer. I was greeted by Jose Santiago who immediately said "I don't know if we could do that here." I told him to check my account and check the notes. He walked away mid sentence. I waited my turn and was "helped" by Arely Blanco who right off the bat, gave me attitude and really didn't want to help me... she put me on the phone with customer service and pointed at a place for me to go sit, like I was dismissed. I took my phone and left. Funny thing is, I was able to take care of everything at another store with someone who was willing to help. I guess unless you speak spanish, you aren't getting good service at this location. I assume the Manager saw both incidences and he just sat there, unphased like this happens often under his watch. If you NEED to go into a Verizon, go a couple miles in any direction to another one. You won't get much accomplished here. read more

Unless you want to upgrade or buy a phone, they will not help you. If you have any issue with your account, all they will do is hand you a paper with a number to call. If you made an appointment, just know that you will have to wait 15 more minutes past your appointment. If you even bother to complain, they will tell you that they gave you a paper to call. I used to come to this store all the time. They used to have great customer service. I thought that maybe this is how things are done now. However, I had a different experience at the Otay Ranch Verizon. Turns out, this branch doesn't care about hearing their customer's concern. Be warned. While they are happy to sell you a plan, they will not care if you have any issues after the fact. read more

I was very pleased with my experience overall. Verizon has amazing deals and I was able to take advantage of their trade in iPhone deal. traded in my iPhone 11 and was able to get the 14 pro for literally nothing only paid for taxes and the small upgrade fee. Luis was the specialist who helped me and he was awesome, as he knew right away what I was trying to do. quick, easy and efficient. My favorite part of the whole experience was that I never felt pressured to buy this or that, or "add this", as most places always ask 5 times if we want to add more, its the worst. I ordered a tablet online. When I received it, they didn't even have an account setup for me so the device would not activate. They tried making me a postpaid account and AGAIN messed up and made the account a business one. I call the next day to return the tablet over the phone for the horrible service. They say SORRY but no mail-in returns, go to the store. When I get to the store I'm charged a $50 restocking fee. All of these errors were made on Verizons part and I have to pay a restocking fee? BS. I called customer care again to get that money refunded and they give me a new story: ANY OPENED BOXES ARE CHARGED A RESTOCKING FEE. Wow! They conveniently don't have that listed on their website. In fact, the page doesn't even work! I don't know how this experience could happen at a corporate store location of leading wireless company. Dec 6 my mom went to get a phone from this store location and walked out with a phone, new charger and service. Satisfied. Paid $139.44. Didn't realize til it was too late, no receipt was given. She thought it was placed in the bag. After the billing cycle came up, she was billed for $250 (not exactly) which included charges for use in the month of December and January..... She PAID for December. On her receipt (which was first seen today, January 19) it even has the expected bill amount due, which should have been around 140.. We spent over 10 HOURS and days and days on the phone with customer service trying to find out where her initial payment went? They didn't have a record of it! And everytime we spent time on the phone with CS we were magically disconnected right before they figured it out... she even has her banking statement! She went back to the location and was turned around again. The last time she went back, which was today, she came back OWING over $200 AND she gave her device and all back? Wtf? She had service for 3 weeks.... And if CS or the store would have been competent or honest enough to find her initial receipt in the first place, company policy states 30 day return policy with a $50 restocking fee.... You do the math. Crooks.... I believe the associate went back in, scanned her receipt, applied the "free phone" promo that they have running as of current, and refunded the payment back to his own debit card. That's why VERIZON had no record of her receipt for weeks....... She even asked the guy,"How could i walk out of here with a new phone, accessory, and an active line without paying anything??" So get this. I was staying at a nice hotel in Tijuana with my girlfriend for New Years. While we were taking selfies on the balcony, my phone slipped from my hands and fell several stories. While I had a very impact-resistant case, falling several stories basically destroyed by cell phone. Since my service provider does not exist in Baja, I had to cross into San Diego the next day to replace my phone. The silver lining in this situation is that I was long overdue for a new phone anyway, so upgrade I did. I drove to this Verizon store, which sat off the 5-north along H Street in Chula Vista. It was maybe a 20 minute drive from the hotel in Tijuana, so it was very conveniently located. When I came here, I was informed by the customer service rep that they had limited services due to the Covid 19 pandemic. However, he also informed me that I could order my new phone online, and set it for pick up at that store. After working my way around some red tape in re-accessing my account (due to not having access to verification texts), I was able to complete the online order. From there, the customer service rep told me to wait in my car while he finished setting up my new phone. I returned to my car, and after 20 minutes, the customer service rep came out to hand me my new phone, accessories, and my receipt. I thanked him for helping me out in this situation. They made my day, and I was able to return to my vacation in baja. If you are in San Diego, and need a new phone, give this store a try. They do a good job! read more

After having some issues with the app and phone customer services leaving the line silent during transfer, we stopped by for a store staff to fix the family plan being locked. The first person who helped us was terrible. We explained our issue and she phoned customer service again. However, customer service went silent but the lady helping us disappeared too. I mean, stay in the line with us and leave us when our issue has resolved. We needed to change plans too but we could not proceed until we paid the bill for the next month meaning that we lost a lot of money as the downgrade won't apply for this payment. Despite making the payment, my husband still could not access his phone. So we approached a staff member, Gabriella. My husband was having an issue with the app too. After ages, Gabriella finally managed to get through to a customer agent on the phone and changed the plans. We now hope that this has been done correctly at the other end as we can't even access the app! Phone customer service for Verizon is still in the stoneage. I thought it's widely popular to utter some words when you pick up a ringing phone so it's pretty baffling when phone service agents for a phone company do this. read more

Don't know why this VZW location hasn't received better reviews but they have sufficient parking, they're following all the required COVID safety precautions, they had adequate staff on hand for the iPhone 12 launch week, and were very helpful and knowledgeable when I stopped by to pickup a 5G SIM card which wasn't shipped with my iPhone. They made sure all my needs were taken cared of, they sanitized the station I was helped at after my business had concluded. And there was added safety while I was at their location since there was a security guard posted at the door to greet customers upon arrival to the store. All in all, a pleasurable experience compared to what I had expected. I would return here without any reservation, if I needed additional assistance with my current cellular service. read more

And for the first time u felt some kind of relief because the sales manager Christian seemed to know exactly what he was doing and quickly understood my frustration over the situation and knew exactly how to help me. The employee then went to the back groom for 20 minutes trying to fix the phone I told her did not work and multiple tech expert on the phone could don't get to work. Then to come back and say that they could not do return cause they didn't have same phone type in store even after the Verizon rep on the phone searched and confined to us that they had same phone type at store. Great customer service. We were having some issues with my son's phone and needed to transfer his number and info to a new phone. Unfortunately I had suspended his account 1 too many times within a short period of time. Adrian attempted to unlock the account and then had to call customer service. Turns out the account had to stay locked for another 24 hours. Oh well, not really a big deal. Our son wasn't going very far. Adrian was cheerful and respectful throughout the experience in addition to explaining each step. Needless to say, I would have to return the next evening to complete my tasks after the account could be unlocked. Since I appreciated Adrian's assistance I asked if he would be working then. He said "Yes". I arrived at Verizon 2 minutes before closing! Time sure does fly on Sunday Funday. However none of the employees seemed in a hurry to get any of the customers out of the store and Adrian completed getting my son back "on the network" with a smile on his face. I've been with Verizon since they purchased Nextel. I was just bored with my Motorola Droid Max and wanted something more techie. I spent a couple hours online and decided between the Pixel2 XL and the S9 Note. I went in the store, gave my name and was seen within 5 minutes. I spoke with Jair, whom has been with this store for sometime now since I recognized him from other trips for business issues. I was given prompt, polite service. I asked about several accessories, which he brought out for my review. He didn't seem bothered that I had a lot of questions or wanted particular extra cables for my purchase. Jair handled the entire transaction with professionalism. I was out of there in about 40 minutes with my phone already transferring my apps and numbers. It was a great experience considering another transaction I had at a 3rd party store. I recommend this store for all your needs. read more

Exactly what the reviews said before. I've had Verizon forever and I just added a line on my plan so I made an appointment to pick up my SIM card and the customer service was not even kind of good. The lady took our appointment outside in a long line of people and she's screaming basically and keeps telling me I can't get my SIM card and has no reason as to why. The greeter was attending a person instead of just getting names down while ten other employees were just standing around, watching the computer screen. The NCAA college basketball game was on (The company is paying their employees to watch TV!). After standing there for twenty minutes, I decided to leave for another Verizon store. I will never come back. If you decide to go, take a tent in case you have to spend the night to get some customer service and don't forget your food either, your going to need the energy to get through to these inadequate employees. This is a new location in Chula Vista. They moved from across the street where the building was attached to the Starbucks. This new location is much better in some ways and some things are the same. Better because there is way more space inside and the parking lot is more than double the size. The previous parking lot was horrible. There is also a better selection of product inside and there is updated fixtures. The only bad thing is there seems to always be short staff as it takes awhile to be seen sometimes. Also, sometimes it's hard to tell who works there sometimes because the uniforms seems more like street clothes. It's not a bad place, it's good to go for your phone and Internet needs. read more
