I have been a Verizon customer for nine years. I stopped at the Belden Village store to check something on my phone and was told I could upgrade for a mere $50. My other phone was paid for, I turned it in as asked for. When I got my bill, I was furious. Turns out I did have to buy the new iPhone Pro 16. If it sounds too good to be true it is. I went to the Canton, Ohio Verizon store on 4926 Dressler Rd NW yesterday, April 29, 2025 at the direction of Verizon customer technical help after hours of online consultation. I am a long-time Verizon customer and have had little issues with Verizon until very recently after the purchase of a new phone at the 4926 Dressler Rd, Canton, Ohio store. For some reason, still unknown, Verizon locked me out of my "My Verizon" account and would not send verification texts or emails to me in order to enable me to get back into my account. Verizon online technical support told me to go to this Canton Verizon store and have them call Verizon technical support from the store and validate my identity. This is the only way Verizon technical support could help in this situation because Verizon's system would not send me texts or emails. Verizon technical support told me that authorized Verizon store employees would stay on the phone line with me in a three-way conversation to help with this identity problem. I was very surprised to find that after I explained this to the initial Verizon store employee, she was not interested in doing this at all. She just asked a few basic questions about notifications and texting and then told me I would have to call technical support for help. Another Verizon store employee came over and told the first employee to help someone else. I assume this employee was some kind of supervisor. I told him that I had been on the phone with Verizon technical support for hours and they referred me to this store who had authorized Verizon people that would call technical support and verify my identity. He told me that it sounded like I needed to call technical support! I once again told him that Verizon technical support told me to come to this store to validate who I am. He and the first employee absolutely did not want to spend time with me on this problem once they found out I was not buying anything I believe. The second employee finally agreed to call technical support and asked for my driver's license and phone which I gave to him. He called with my phone and after a short pause in which he supposedly spoke with technical help, he handed my phone back to me. Technical support was on the line. I went through the whole process of explaining the problem to technical support who once again told me that I would have to have Verizon store people verify my identity. I was amazed to hear this! Technical support told me they were not called by anyone at the store and that support could still not see my account because the employee just used my phone to call them just as I would! Nice dodge! I hung up and asked the store employee to call support again. He said he would and then did the same thing! This happened one more time before I gave up. Verizon store employees were definitely not going to stay online with support to verify my identity - even after they said they would. This is horrible service. I still cannot get into My Verizon account because the Verizon store employees are not interested in helping a non-buying, service problem customer. I have spent thousands of dollars with Verizon this year alone and have been a customer for many years. Beware - if you are not buying anything, employees at this Verizon store are just not interested in you. Also, both employees acted very arrogant and very put out that I was infringing on their important time. read more

I have been a Verizon customer for at least 15 years. Whenever I arrive there they greet you at the door and then proceed to tell you how long you will need to wait, I usually get 30-45 minutes. I had a seat then started thinking having a door person showed that they were aware of the problem, but never corrected the problem by fixing their staffing problem. I checked with the door person and told them give me a call and I would be back. I went to T Mobile got two iPhones 11 's and after checking out a T Mobile received a call from Verizon that it was my turn. I certainly feel that no company can survive today's market with poor service. Verizon customers should demand better performance. Now that I have been with T Mobile for a week so far I can't tell any difference in the phone service. read more

If I could rate lower I would. I went into Verizon on Dressler because I needed phone upgrades. The associate mentioned business service which I do a few things on the side. I said I wanted my bill to be less than it currently was. The associate said it was less, then offered a mobile Hotspot deal which I had with my other account and 2 months without bills plus gave me a total of my bill which was less. He did almost zero of the set ups, had multiple issues getting it going. We left with phones, suddenly someone I have no clue who it was starred emailing me about my Hotspot (this should have been told before I left). Then a month to the day my service gets shut off for no payment. I was connected to Verizon after an hour, they said i needed to go to the store. I went to the store, asked for a manager that would not speak with me. They said the associate did not put in the $700 credit i should have received. Then they said my service would be on in 2 to 3 days. Neither has happened and i am making sure anyone and everyone knows about the terrible service, false promises and misrepresentation this store allows. Go not shop here! read more

I am horribly disappointed with one of the Sale Reps in the Verizon Store on Dressler Avenue in Canton Ohio. This gent was incredibly helpful while we were in the store. He even gave us his business card should we have any problems. HOWEVER- now that I have a huge billing problem and I am being told by Verizon Business that I must talk directly to the Dressler location store, our sales rep won't respond to my emails or my text messages. The main Dressler Verizon phone number is never answered, nor is there any way to leave a message. So, I am currently being overcharged for the phone plan we agreed upon, and I am being charged for equipment that I PAID for in full the day of purchase. We have NINETEEN phones on our business account Verizon! POOR customer service!!!!! Epic fail Verizon. read more

*611 customer service drove me crazy today. I bought a Verizon ASUS V Live smartphone and added new line with the promotion. Zero phone cases were available when I purchased and Amazon had one case from China that would take month to get here. ASUS much more fragile than Apple IPhone. It broke in a wk screen shattered. Phone still worked. Verizon will not service this product. Refused to send to ASUS for new screen which I had no problem paying for. No third party could repair bec no parts in US and would take a month to order parts plus additional 50.00 ship fee. I called ASUS direct. They would fix but Verizon had to mail it to ASUS for me and generate a return. Verizon still refused!!!! After my fifth call to ASUS and three hours later ASUS felt bad for me and I can return to them for repairs. Verizon ZERO help!!' read more

This location is very fast, I went in there to have my service switched from AT&T to Verizon and the gentleman was very professional. I was having trouble with AT&T switching my service over so this went on for 2 hours and he stayed with me the whole time to make sure everything was good. I would definitely go to this store if your in the area. Yes they are expensive but it's been 3 months since I got my service and I had service so far everywhere I am and I drive all over Ohio for work. read more

Today we visit the Verizon store on Dressler. We were first met by someone at the door. I let them know that we both needed to purchase new phones and that my husbands phone wasn't working at all. He has no service and no wifi. I was told to just go back to my car and order what we wanted and that it would be ready in about 15-20 minutes. I then explained that we wanted to also change our plan to unlimited and wasn't sure of what to choose and would be changing from work discount to veteran discount and that we needed help. Once again told us to go back to our car and that it was very easy to do it over the phone and wouldn't take long. So since my husband didn't have service or wifi he had to stand in the lobby to use the stores wifi. Fast forward to 2.5 hours later. Not one single employee came up to him to see if he needed help. But continuously took other customers in and helped them with whatever they needed. I work in customer service and it is very important to treat customers properly. We have been with Verizon for over 20 years and I realize that things are a little different because of Covid. But you would think after seeing someone standing there for so long that someone would ask if there was something that they could help after he was put on hold multiple times and had to talk to 3 different people just to complete the so called "easy" transaction. Very disappointing service after the money we spent today on 2 new phones. read more

We returned from the previous day to purchase a new iPhone 12 Pro. We also needed to upgrade my 10 soon in the next week or so and one other in May and one in July. Paying off early to upgrade. I worked with Matthew the first day. I told him I was returning with my son the next day to choose his phone for his birthday. He sent me contact information for himself. I called and left voicemail and texted to make an appointment with no response. We went back anyway. When checking in, I was told Matt would be back in 15 minutes from lunch but the wait was only 11 minutes so I was put on the que. I also told the greeter I had to leave town by 3:00 and that's why he suggested the que. it was 1:00 at check in. 35-40 minutes later no text or call. We re-entered to find 2 managers and 3 reps and a greeter with another available rep behind him. They were standing with no clients and way less that the max 30 people in the store. When I asked how long the greeter was flustered and said I was next and pulled one of the available reps. Not even a manager. When I asked the rep where Mather was he said he would be back in 15 minutes. Wasn't that the answer 40 minutes ago? And the rep told me to wait until the 13s come out in a couple of months. Yesterday, Matthew told me it would be 6 months. Amounts to other questions I got two completely different sets of answers to the same questions. Do the managers actually manage the store and train employees or just stand around? I've NEVER seen a business in which a manager will not take a client if needed. Especially when there are 2. The blonde female manager who I approached in a group of 5 that were available and chatting and laughing amongst themselves. More excuses. Limited people in the store. I counted 16 including employees, availability, they were all 5 available, etc. The absolute WORST and UNPROFESSIONAL Verizon and any other retail experience I've ever had. That store just lost four IPhone 12 and 13 upgrades and trade in sales. Think about redrafting for more sales or sending in a Regional manager for Verizon that actually cares about the store location's customer service quality and success! read more

This location saved our Verizon experience. Originally went to 4062 Belden Village Blvd, Canton but it was terrible. We transitioned to the store at 4926 Dressler Rd NW and it was amazing. What a joke just returned from this store after being there on Memorial Day were we picked up our phones and we asked the lady if they would help us setup our new phone they don't do that anymore ,but the apple store does ,she also told me to bring my old phones back they don't do that anymore either so I wasted a trip for nothing also as soon as we walked in the store and found out we were not buying accessories for our new phone they ran off and could not tell us the procedure to return our phone never again if I did not have to pay the 35 dollar restock fee I would go to another provider with some service! (Which it wasn't) So, i called back the next day to the corporate store at Belden Village, Canton , Ohio and NOBODY answered the phone. Why didn't you take care of that problem? Then I called your 800 I don't care number. I was talking to the employee and then asked for her supervisor. Do you know how long it takes for the supervisor to get on the phone? I do. Thirty minutes. Why don't you take care of that misunderstanding? After talking to(supervisor) Elmer for awhile I asked him to have the Regional manager call me, that was two days ago, do you think he's gonna call me? After dealing with *611 customer service on new phone upgrades, I was instructed go to a corporate store - as in not a reseller - so I drove past two resellers, also many competitors - (AT&T and Sprint stores are within spitting distance of this Verizon store) to come to this store. Even though corporate customer service from Verizon had noted my account that the activation fees were waived, the employee helping us refused to honor that. I called *611 from the store, and she talked to *611 on MY phone, and they assured me that she could see that the fees were waived on my account the same as they could, she just said no, she saw the notes, but would not honor them and walked away. Didn't say another word to us. Manager came by and asked who was helping us, then went and talked to "Hayley", then she never came back either. After driving there and wasting our time and gas, we ended up having to have our new phones shipped. Odd since the last time we got new phones we spent an additional $190 some on accessories at the Verizon store - otterboxes and car chargers, etc. I guess I will be buying those somewhere else this time. They will probably be cheaper elsewhere anyway. Verizon is a premium carrier, and we've had them as long as they have existed in our area. This is not the kind of customer service that we expect from a carrier that charges top dollar for service. But if I have to do all my transactions online or on the phone and wait for things to ship - why does this store even need to exist? So much for local jobs. read more
