Came in to this store to preorder a new iPhone. The guy in the store had no idea what he was doing. Thankfully his coworker was there and she was on top of it. It took 30min for me to preorder the phone. A few weeks later the phone comes in. I go to pick it up. The same incompetent guy was there. He was assisting two other customers that needed a lot of help. I get that they were there before me. I waited patiently and then he got around to help me. He proceeded to think I wanted to pay my bill when I told him I preordered multiple times. I told him twice it will be payed with autopay tomorrow. Then he goes in the back room cussing. Comes out and walks right past me and continues to help the other customers. 15 min later he comes to me again. I explained that I got a text and a phone call that the phone came in. He says it never came in. I told him it could be under dads name. Sure enough, it magically appears. So i got to the store at 6:30 and they close at 7. So now it's 7:20 and he says it will take 3 hours to activate it because the main center closed at 7 and I can come back tomorrow. All he had to do was listen and find the phone, activate it, and let me pay for it. Should take like 15 min tops. I am about to go say to return it because if this guy gets commission it rather throw my money away. Terrible experience and wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. BEWARE! Not a corporate store. They can't help you with anything and will force you to go to a corporate store after wasting your time. They also charge $40 MORE than Verizon for activation. They explained that "we aren't Verizon, we're Victra, so we have to charge those fees to stay in business." That may be true, but from a consumer standpoint they appear to be dba Verizon, there is no third party branding on the outside of the store. I don't want to do business somewhere that starts off trying to be someone they aren't, but then claims "yeah, we're actually some other company" while trying to charge you extra fees and avoid taking returns. Do yourself a favor and go to a real Verizon store from the beginning, you'll ends up there anyway... read more

Very Rude staff. Customer service is NOT their specialty. Please drive to Folsom if you need phone services. Absolutely rude, they both could care less about their customers. Stephanie couldn't even say sorry or please. I guess manners aren't common sense. I will never go back to this location, I literally asked them if customer service was part of the job description and they were both silent, and my response was wow no response and they both said nothing. Disgusting way to treat a human being. I hope to see these two in my work place and I will show them the right way to be respectful and professional. read more

I urge you all to learn from our tech tragedy and avoid this "Verizon" location! See below. My wife's iPhone crashed and died. Her Apple account was old and associated with an email account no longer active and she was having no luck accessing critical data and files. As a long time Verizon customer the local Verizon store seemed a reasonable place to turn. She brought in an old iPhone that had all the info she needed on it, hoping to use it to log into her Apple account. The only staff there appeared to be new and not exactly a geek (in the very best sense of the word), and had to call tech support himself. Net: he performed a hard reset, completely wiping the phone clean. No asking/telling my wife what he was doing; in fact, he seemed not to even know what he'd done. My wife's last hope of recovering her data was destroyed. She was, to say the least, distraught. I went in to talk to the staffer. He tried to blame it on tech support telling him to do it. (my wife was present during his call - on speaker - and no such instructions had been given) It came out that he did not have a technical background and even agreed with me that maybe this was not the job for him. It was my impression that he was nothing more than a commissioned salesperson whose only goal was to sell products and contracts. I gave him my card and told him I expected him to follow up on this with his manager and/or someone capable of trying to fix his blunder. After two days with no response, I called the manager whose name is posted in the store. The message I got was THIS MAILBOX IS FULL! Unbelieveable - that a manager of a cellular technology store doesn't even know how to use his own cell phone. At this point I knew it was useless trying to work with them. As others have pointed out, this location is NOT operated by Verizon but by a (quasi) independent corporation. You will have no real recourse for any kind of similar experience. read more

Horrible customer service from start to finish from unprofessional employees. Went in to simply trade in my phones which took 2 hours due to systems being down and no guidance. Assistant general manager, Teresa, has just as bad customer service as the teenager working, Faith who was cussing multiple times loudly in front of many customers. Teresa has a very short temper leaning towards the counter talking to me in a very demeaning tone after we explained the frustrations of having no guidance in what to do in the trade in. Will never come here again. I will drive the extra 10-15 minutes to never step door in this verizon again. read more

Went to this store with the hopes of receiving the same service we got at Christmas. Nope. New management. Got 2 new phones. Paid what we were told and receive a call the next morning that they didn't charge us for one of the phones. We paid what we were told, paid off an old phone as well. Told we needed to bring the phone and box in that day. So drove 45 minutes to the store. Was told that we walked out without paying? WTF? We paid what we were told, we didn't walk out of the store. That would have been theft! We paid the tax on the phone they said we didn't pay. They waived a fee of $20 for our inconvenience. Going elsewhere next time! Not friendly and understaffed. read more

My cellphone appeared to be dead. I had tried to reboot it several times with no success so decided to stop by the Cameron Park store to see about replacing it. I was greeted by the Rep, Trey Upton, who said that I might not need to replace it and offered to take a look. He was able to reboot it in minutes. I appreciate his honesty and integrity in not pressing me to buy a new phone. I have purchased four cellphones at this store over the years and have always been treated well by knowledgeable staff. read more

We updated our phones and could not make calls or texts. The only solution offered from the associate at this store was that we could buy new phones, an offer she made several times. It was clear the update was the cause of the issue and she repeated over and over again that all she could do would be sell us a phone and if we wanted to get the phones replaced via warranty we would need to call customer service, I reminded her that we now had no possible way to make outgoing calls but all she could offer up at that point was condolences. We felt her only goal was to make a sale and a commission. We drove down the hill to Folsom and they replaced our sim cards which did the trick. Shady business practices. read more

I've been with Verizon since my first cell phone years ago. I've never gone into a store and had a pleasant experience til today. Josh and Liberty were friendly, knowledgeable and so helpful. It still takes quite a while to get set up and on your way but these two made it so much more pleasant. read more

Dishonest, Rude, Fraudulent Went to the store to get a new phone for my 90 year mother after she ran her IPhone 6 through the washing machine. It was toast and we brought it to the store in a bag of rice for emphasis. We were the only 2 people in the store and were helped by a very nice (but apparently new sales rep) Alexia. She took the non-working phone to check with her manager to verify it was eligible for a promo Verizon was running on trade-ins for a new I phone 13 mini ($350 off). Alexia told us that the phone qualified, but we would have to upgrade to an unlimited plan to get the discount. After running the numbers, we agreed to upgrade the plan and buy the IPhone 13 mini. After spending the next 2+ hours getting the phone loaded for the I-Cloud (another story) we were getting up to leave and I asked Alexia if she needed the old phone? Oh yeah I do! Here is where things went south in a big way!!! A couple of minutes later, the manager Sean comes over and says the phone doesn't quality for the $350 discount because it doesn't work. I told him that all 3 employees knew that info 2 hours ago when Alexia brought the dead phone back to ask. We went back and forth on how dishonest and fraudulent this was and just not right. He couldn't care less ! He just said it wasn't his decision, it was Verizon's. I then said fine, just sell us the phone and reinstate the old plan.....his response was "I can't do that, Verizon wants to get rid of all of those old plans". YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!! Do not go here!!!!! Take the time and drive to the legitimate corporate store in Folsom. I upgraded my phone here, bought a tablet and some accessories. I was told that I could add a tablet on for $75(just the sale tax). I confirmed, "are you sure that is all it will cost me?" multiple times. My husband was there with me and he would never let me buy a tablet unless it was for this great deal. They intentionally never told me about the additional 2 year agreement that I was adding on to my line. I would never have bought it if I knew this because my plan was to just use at home on our WI-FI. Well now I am locked into a 2 year plan that I use absolutely no data on. They also, failed to notify me that accessories could not be returned only exchanged. I guess it is important to read your 10 pages of printouts you get when dealing with shady sales people that are just looking for a sale. I WAS notified about my return policy and did decide to return the phone with in the time. They took the phone back without issue. This was 6 months ago. I just was getting help with my plan from the corporate store and discovered I am still paying monthly for a droid turbo 2 that I returned in February. (working on getting that fixed) Also, It took over an hour due to having to get certain codes for making a return. They person they had to get the code from was unavailable by phone. So I had to wait until he was reachable and could text them a code. Then the code didn't work and we had to start over with the process of getting another code. In addition, they are paid off commission. While I was there returning my phone (that Verizon has no record of me returning), an employee was bragging about selling stuff to people when they didn't need it. This place is terrible! I will never go there again! They are dishonest and when you call them on it they don't even do anything to correct it. They say they can't their hands are tied. read more

The girls here were super helpful. Tried buying online and got flagged for identity theft after phone rep asked me to verify my land line phone number from 2004, which I got wrong since I couldn't remember it after 14 years had passed. I felt like Sandra Bullock in The Net but the reps here took the extra time to get it all straightened out. I really hope they give the fake me that hard of a time online! read more

My wife and I needed to pick up cables for iPads used by grandchildren in the car. Both staff members were knowledgeable, professional, and engaging. Skip this store. Head to Placerville. Employees are way too chatty which will extend the wait time. The manager was nice enough but he seemed to be the only one who could answer any sort of question. I waited an hour and 20 minutes and then was told they couldn't do what I was requesting (new customer to verizon. Looking to purchase a phone and a jetpack). I knew exactly what I wanted and could easily do it online but wanted to complete the process in store and for some reason the store employee helping me kept saying it wasn't possible the way I knew it was. I went the next day to the Placerville store where they proceeded with my exact wishes without a hitch and I walked out with both devices set to go with the exact plan I wanted. Came in today to switch my phone onto Verizon from AT&T. Nope. I'm stuck with having to call Verizon's customer service because the employees couldn't do their job properly. It started when walking in, the employee named Elisabeth was on her phone when we were waiting to get helped. When I had explained that I was looking for a Prepaid unlimited plan, both employees agreed to that. While the employee was trying figure out how to even the account going, the employee didn't know what she was doing AT ALL. She kept getting the other male employee for help. During this process, they both started signing me up for the 35$ prepaid 5g plan... Which is NOT what I asked for. On top of it, they gave me a different phone number after I was looking to transfer my old phone number to Verizon. There was no communication, they were just creating an account and signing me up for a plan without communicating to me. They were making these decisions without asking what I wanted. Because it wasn't the plan that I was wanting, they had to start the whole signing up process again.. They begin to tell me that they aren't able to transfer my old phone number.. When my parents just came to this location and got my grandma's number transferred over (which they dealt with this same employee last time and had the same problems). I left with having to go home to be on hold with a Verizon customer service to help switch my phone number over.. I paid 19.99 for the Set up and Go and these employees didn't help me with what I needed. I could have bought a sim card and done all of this shit myself. Hell, I could have gone to the Folsom location where they have better customer service and ask me what I wanted instead of making decisions for me. Regardless, I shouldn't have paid for 19.99 when I didn't get the help I need and Elisabeth should not be working there. This employee is completely clueless. I will DEFINITELY not be returning to this location. read more

This is the BEST Verizon store around! They have officially earned my business for life! They helped me payoff and upgrade my old phone, they were honest, easy to talk to, and they made sure I left a happy customer. They even stayed after closing just to make sure everything was transferred off of my old phone. I can't say enough great things about this store and their staff. I use to only go to best buy to upgrade, now I will only come here! Best experience I have ever had with upgrading my phone. read more

I updated my iPhone 5s last night and this morning I didn't have any phone service. I couldn't make a call to anyone. I went into this Cameron Park location and a young lady told me that I was out of luck. She told me I must buy a new phone. She didn't wanna spend any time with me to fix the problem, only wanted to sell me a phone. I called my mom and she says that the same thing happened to her phone a week ago. She went into the Verizon store in Diamond Springs and they fixed it right away. So I took her advice, drove up the hill and went into the Diamond Springs location. The young lady working spent about 20 minutes with me. She didn't quite know how to fix it, but she sure was going to try (unlike the other girl in Cameron Park) she then figured out that when you update your phone, the "international roaming" gets turned on and it must be turned off or you'll have no service. This woman in Diamond Springs saved me hundreds of dollars and I'm very thankful. Felt like I was getting taken for a ride in Cameron Park. read more
